Amy grabs my hand and I stand up with her, but she falls back to the ground and groans out in pain covers her ear.
"Are you okay?" I ask and she doesn't respond, and I touch her to remove what she was shielding in pain and her ear was bleeding. It had been sliced in have and her eyes squinted in pain while I looked at it.
"Amy, please let me have a look!" Cream says rushing over and she starts to heal her head immediately.
I also notice that Cass was gone, and I turn around to see Knuckles and Tails tying him up so he couldn't try anything when he came back to his consciousness and then I see Axel in the distance being healed by Rouge.
"How's Axel?" I ask and Cream turns to me.
"Just a small stab wound. Nothing we can't fix but Amy… your ear canal is damaged. This might take a moment." Cream says and Amy winces in pain.
"I'm going to go check on Axel." I say to her, but she didn't respond again so I tilted her chin up and she looks me quickly. "Did you hear me?"
"I… I didn't. I think my ear really is damaged. My vision is slightly blurry too." Amy says and Cream looks worried and then she turns to me.
"Can you go get Rouge? She might be more wounded than she thinks." Cream says and after she said that I barely wanted to leave her now.
"Is it permanent?" I ask staring at her face and Cream touches my shoulder.
"No. Nothing, we haven't seen before…" Cream says and then she stands up and I watch her. "Watch Amy for me. I'll get Rouge if that makes you more comfortable."
"Okay."
Cream walks off and I turn my head back to Amy and she was looking at me. My face reddens and my heat flows quickly with it and Amy notices, like she always does and smiles.
"I probably do look pretty bad. I'd want to keep an eye on me too" Amy says and blinks but then blinks a couple of more times and I worry even more.
"How did this happen to you?"
"I let my guard down and Cass hit me with a rock a couple of times. Cream healed me a bit so it doesn't hurt as much but my vision isn't as good as it used to be, but I think after she heals me then I should be fine."
` Amy wounds and cuts on her body made me feel guilty. She was like this because of me.
"Mmkay. Prince, let me get to her." Rouge says and I move quickly and stand while they start to heal her, and Amy eyes stick on mine as I move away from her the smallest bit.
Amy jerk back from them and my eyes widen to see her in pain and Rouge placed her hands on Amy's eyes softer this time.
"Fuck… it hurts." Amy complains.
"It is going to hurt. He got you pretty good. I'm glad we got to you when we did. Axel is healed as well and slightly sore but he is fine. Let's work on getting you the same way." Rouge says and that reminds me that I didn't check on Axel and I start walking that way but then I stop and notice Amy was watching me leave.
"I'll be back."
"Okay." Amy says and I turn and walk to Axel. The rest of my friends were standing near Axel and possible talking about him and what to do next. I also notice that Maria was standing a little close to Shadow and Shadow didn't seem to mind.
"I told her every time we should just kill him- "
"That's not the plan." Silver stops Axel from talking and Axel was about to speak until I appeared in his peripheral and he watched me approach and so did everyone else.
They stand back to let me in and I look at Cass's beaten body, lay unconsciously and my eyes shift back to Axel.
"You okay?"
Axel laughs and looks over me probably wanting to ask the same question.
"I should be asking you that. That didn't make you shit-crazy like Cass, did they?" Axel says and I chuckle and look at Cass.
"No, I'm okay. I am glad you are too." I say and Axel nods his head and Tails pats my back.
"We are glad too." Tails adds and then Cass shuffles the smallest bit and then continues to lay on the ground.
"What are we going to do with him." Silver asks and we all look at Cass. "He could be a big problem. His skills are very dangerous. "
"He is. I crushed him twice with a bolder and he was still running and fighting. But since we aren't planning to get rid of him then let's just free him so he can try to hurt the princess again." Axel says bluntly.
"I'm with Axel. He hurt Sonic too so let's let him live so he can do it again. " Shadow adds onto Axel's remark.
"The plan was not to kill anyone. I think it should stay like that." Silver adds in and Shadow laughs.
"No one is going by that plan anymore. It's broken as soon as we got on the water and now, I am starting to think that Axel is right for once. We need to get rid of him." Shadow adds in and Silver shakes his head.
"No, I can't seriously be the only one thinking that killing Cass isn't going to make anything better? You agree with me right, Tails?" Silver asks and Tails looks at Cass and then to me.
"… I don't know. He did kidnap Sonic- "
"But we can't just kill him!" Silver says and then he looks at me. "Prince, listen. What do you think? I am going to say that I don't think we need to kill him. The princess said to capture them if needed and we already have! Killing him makes us no better than them."
"So, you want to bring this evil superhuman to the surface! Cass doesn't care about anyone but himself and possibly the princess but he only cares about her because of his own personal goals!" Shadow argues and Silver walks up to him.
"That isn't what the mission is about. We cannot take anyone's life and expect to be greater than them once we hit the surface. We need to come out the same once we leave here!" Silver says and Shadows stands up and gets in face.
"And saying shit like that gets your closest ones to you killed. Why are being so kind to someone who has hurt both of your friends! You care about the princess, right? Then stop the problem in front of you. "Shadow points at Cass.
"I care about you too! Everyone here! If anyone of us were to kill him then how in hell is that going to- "
"HE is going to not be a problem anymore, Silver! That's what! No one else has to get pinkies chopped off or their ears damaged to a point to where they can't hear!" Shadow says and Silver looks at me and to my hands but then he turns and grabs Cass by the shirt and drops him in the small circle we created.
"Fine! Kill him!" Silver says and gives Shadow space.
Shadow looks at Cass who was still not active. Shadow scoffs and took one step and then we heard movement behind us.
"What's going on?" Rouge asks and sees Cass was in the middle of the circle.
"Shadow wants to kill Cass so let's let him do it!" Silver barks and Shadow looks off. "Exactly! You can't do it so let's not kill him create more unnecessary violence- "
"Ugh, stop yelling." Amy says and her head had been wrapped in bandages and she touches my arm. "We can't kill him. That's not the plan and never will be." Amy says and looks at Cass.
"Even though, Cass is evil. We should not stoop to their level. Killing is the reason why we are down here in the first place so for once. As a group. Let's not kill anyone." Amy declares and I watch her wince slightly. "We need to be extra careful though and bring him with us so we can get out of here."
"You all say we need to be extra careful but now Maria is replacing me. I think we all need to sit down and rethink this 'plan' that has not been used since we got on the boat." Axel shuts down the entire conversation and I look at Maria who took a step back and touched Shadow's arm and Shadow snatched his arm away from her and she move her hands to each other.
"I've been saying that from the beginning because the princess thinks she can save everyone down here- "
"What? Shadow, I told you to leave her there! But now you brought her so you broke the plan and it's your responsibility to keep an eye on her." Amy scold and Shadow blushes but looks off to hide it.
"She can watch her damn self. If she tries anything then we will stop it, but I don't think she will." Shadow says and Blaze glares at her.
"Maria. Show us the way out of here. I'll drop everything that happened if you show us a way out." I say and Maria looked frightened.
"I… I can't." Maria says and open her mouth to say something else but I stood after that.
"Why not."
"Sally… you saw her. I would stop her myself, but I can't. We can't let her stay down here and try to get the spirit world open. The world won't be safe if she follows her plan- "
"So, you want us to take her from here?" Axel asks and looks at me this time while he talks. "Maria, wants us to go down there and find Sally. Stop her and Ten who is freakishly strong and THEN leave. Now, what Amy."
"Princess." Maria walks close to Amy. "You can't let Sally have access to this area. I know our trust isn't strong but if we all leave here without Sally, she will just come for us or other people who have two spirits and open the world. We have to stop her here. Now. "
Amy looked conflicted and then her eyes go to mine.
"What do you think we should do?" Amy asks and then everyone looks at me.
Based from my decision would possible put everyone I danger or in danger later and I had to think fast. Cass was possibly minutes from waking up again and Ten and Sally were going to come find us soon and they know this entire place so it shouldn't be hard to detect where we are. Also, Amy is the most damaged one here and I can tell she didn't heal all the way before she wanted Cream and Rouge to save their chi for anything else that might happen while we are down here.
"Four of them aren't in the best shape already and we have two of our most power houses right here. Even though, we have them outnumbered we can't even fully trust Maria yet or if Cass might get loose again. "
"Whatever you want to do. We will be with you." Amy states and I look at everyone waiting for me to take the lead and I clear my throat.
"I think we should get Sally out of here. To ensure safety for Lera and the rest of the kingdoms." I state and Axel rolls his eyes and stands up. "Knuckles and I will hold Cass while Maria shows us the way to Sally. Better yet. Blaze and Silver will hold his legs to keep him more stable and since Shadow brought Maria, he can watch her for any tricks." I plan out and then I point at the machine.
"Us, holding Cass will walk on foot and Cream and Rouge will continue to heal Princess Amy because we can't do this mission with an injured person. If we all stay together and be extremely careful then we can make it out of here untouched." I say and Silver smiles at my plan.
Sweet! Let's go!" Silver encourages and grabs Cass's leg and so Blaze with a frown.
I turn to Amy and pat Cream on the shoulder. "Heal her and don't listen to her trying to tell you that healing her is a waste of energy." I say and Amy blushes quick.
"I told you. Let's get you all the way healed." Cream grabs Amy by her arm and they board the machine and so does Rouge with Tails on it.
"So, you still put me on duty to watch Maria. Awesome. I hope Cass doesn't kill you." Shadow shoves past me and Maria eyes go to mine but then she quickly follows Shadow through the tunnel
I notice everyone was waiting for me to grab Cass and I raise him up last and we go back into the tunnel. The machine moves behind us as we walk and Knuckles chuckles to himself and my eyes move to him.
"Great to know that you are still making me your right-hand man."
I smile to myself and shove his shoulder. "Why wouldn't I?"
"I did kick you off a mountain and then you got kidnapped so… didn't know what to expect once we saw each other again."
"… I didn't know either. To be honest. At one point was, I was completely fine with being kidnapped. They were threating you guys and I was taking every single punishment thrown at me for not complying. I didn't want you guys to be in this mess we are in now. Just to save me." I say and I look ahead at Silver and Blaze talking and Shadow was quiet, upfront with Maria. "So, you weren't the only one thinking of what to expect once we all saw each other again."
"Did you expect this?" Knuckles asks and I shake my head.
"Not at all. But I needed to see this so, thanks for saving me. I'll pay you back somehow." I say and Knuckles laughs.
"You can pay me back. Next time you give orders and put us in pairs… put me in the machine alone with Rouge." Knuckles says and cock my eyebrow.
"Why?"
"Let's just say, me and Rouge have been getting along nicely trying to come save you." Knuckles brings up.
"…Really? You and Rouge?... how?" I ask.
"I'm smooth like sand." Knuckles brags and I laugh and then I think about another water bender.
"Have you and the princess talked? I saw her hug you and give you a little princess kiss on the cheek but doesn't seem like much was said."
"I… uh… We hugged and made sure we both were okay. That's it… Should I have brought up something?" I ask and Knuckles shrugs his shoulders and readjusts his grip on Cass as we walk way deeper in the caves.
"If it was me. And I was close to possibly dying, I would definitely tell her something. Or like a kiss on the lips. Sneak in something, ya know. High emphasis on the word 'sneak'."
"A kiss? Am I even qualified for that anymore? We broke up and so far, I think she likes me. We kissed before but- "
"Then kiss her again." Blaze adds in and I notice that Silver was looking too and heat explodes from me.
"I-I-I- "
"Hey, your heat is kind of hot." Silver complains and I apologize and lower it. "But…you should kiss her! Why not?" Silver says loudly.
"Don't say that out loud." I say and Blaze laughs.
"You should though. If I had someone like the princess fawning over me and I felt the same way then I would. Maybe she is nervous like you and is thinking the same thing." Blaze says and realize Blaze had the biggest crush on me weeks ago and now she was giving me advice for another girl I like.
"Uh… okay. Then I might. Secretly." I agree and everyone gives me smiles of luck and suddenly I hear a laugh.
"Ha… Haa… I won't… let you do that." Cass says and I look down and his red eyes shinned through his swollen eye lids and his head falls back.
"I… won't LET YOU!" Cass thrashes up and he tries to get his legs free, and we stop and try to hold him still.
"Lock his legs together!" I yell and Blaze and Silver rushes together and Blaze face hits Silver's chest making him blush.
"Sorry!" Silver says but then no one was paying to that since Cass yanked his legs back and forth and then Shadow comes in and helps Blaze on her side to hold him still.
"Grip his legs tighter!"
They do so and they finally get his bottom part still, but his head was still free and bites at Knuckles hand making wince and I grab his face stopping him from doing so.
"Ow! Press him to the wall!" Knuckles says and we all move him and hold down to the wall and he starts to laugh.
"You can't stop me! WHERE IS SHE- "
I slam the side of his head to the wall and he winces and then he opens his eyes.
"Maria… help me!" He yells and I look over to see Maria standing in place.
"She isn't on your side anymore." Shadow says and Cass smile grows even bigger.
"Oh really!? I KNEW YOU WERE A TRADITOR- "
"Shut it!" Blaze says and Cass stops talking and laughs to himself.
"Oh yes. This is great. Maria is a traditor and I know my princess is nearby. So much excitement. Also, you didn't kill me which is a bad mistake. As soon as I get the chance to get free. Once none of you aren't looking. I'm taking the princess and I'm going to do everything to get her." Cass says and he turns his head to me.
"After I kill you first!" Cass tries to jump at me but then we push him back to the wall.
"Maria! Where are those hand cuffs?" Shadow asks and she runs to the machine and it opens and soon the rest of them walk out to see what was going on.
"Is he awake?" Tails asks and I nod my head and Amy strides to us and Cass turned his head but I made sure to keep him forward.
"I can hear her footsteps. Princess! I can hear you! Let me have you!" Cass strength increases but all of us hold him down.
"Princess, maybe you shouldn't come any closer." Silver suggests and Amy stands back and I look at her to see if she was healed and she didn't have the bandaged on which meant she had to be feeling better.
"Ohh… Princess. You know we are meant to be!" Cass continues to ramble and soon Maria comes in and cuffs Cass's hand and his chi disappears immediately and his legs go limp.
"He is defenseless now. That superhuman strength is tucked away as long as he has these on. "Maria says and we drop him and then Maria covers him in rock so he wouldn't be able to do anything and he smiles at us.
"Why am I not dead? At least tell me that. Knowing how dangerous I am, you all haven't killed me. Why?" Cass asks and I turn to them.
"Ignore him. We will get back on course and head to Sally." I say and Tails follows my orders and runs back to the machine.
"Ignore me?! HAHA! I haven't done anything for you to do that- "
"Maria, cover his mouth with this." I still had my old hand cuffs on my wrists and she takes them off and creates it to a metal band and approaches Cass who smiles intensely.
"Working for the enemy! Just wait until Sally sees this- "
Shadow donks him on the head and then Maria places it over his mouth and Cass starts to talk with it on and Silver, Knuckles, Shadow and Blaze, get him to his feet and then push him forward to start walking again with Maria following.
"We are going to go back to the machine." Cream says and Rouge follows and Amy almost does too until I grab her hand.
Amy turns back to me and I already stumble over my words before they come out.
"H-How are you now?" I ask and she looks around my face and smiles.
"A lot better. I can hear again and my vision is back to normal. I am just resting with Axel to get our strength back."
"Good- I mean that's great...um." I say and Amy waits for me to say something and I never do and I let her hand go.
"Let's keep going." I say and Amy smiles and runs back to the machine and look at my hand that was in hers.
"I really… wanted to kiss her that time."
"Prince! Wake up!" Shadow yells from afar and I rush over to them to join them and I grab Cass's shoulder and pressed my hand on his back with a threating heat.
"Don't resist because you know I won't hesitate to hurt you. Badly."
Cass laughs loudly and doesn't resist and walks forward with us as we followed Maria.
"You should, because next time I won't hesitate to hurt anyone down here. "he says through metal covering that wasn't covered completely around his mouth.
My vison once again goes dark but my arms didn't do this action.
"I'll kill him for the both us before he kills you!"
I wrap my arm Cass's neck and I slam him to the ground and I start to choke him out with my arm.
"Am I doing this? -"
"Prince! It's not worth it- "Silver yells at me and I couldn't even stop choking him because it wasn't me.
"Keep on threating them! I'll put it end to it right here, Cass! "I yell and Cass chokes while I strangle him and Blaze touches my arm.
"Wait… I didn't even say that…"
"I DID!" Vaatu tenacle shows on my arm and he starts to make me choke Cass even more and he thrashes and chokes harshly. "I'll kill him if you are so afraid! Just let me do it like your younger days!"
"Vaatu stop! You are going to scare my friends!" I yell and then my body moves on its own and I lean back and choke him even more.
"Sonic! You are actually going to kill the man. Just let go." Shadow says but I couldn't. These weren't my actions and I couldn't stop the grip I had.
"Vaatu, stop!" I whisper quietly and shut my eyes to try to get the darkness away.
"Vaatu?" Silver asks looking at me confused and I noticed that I was back in control. I let Cass go immediately and he coughs loudly while I back up and everyone stares at me while they pick him up.
"I…" I try to think of something to say and Knuckles approaches me first while the rest held Cass who was laughing through his mask and Maria made the metal tighter around his face and it became muffled.
"You alright?" Knuckles carefully and I stare at him and I was going to say 'yes' but I was tired of lying.
"I don't know."
Knuckles rubs my shoulder and looks over my face, like if he thought I was messed up in the inside.
"How about you don't touch Cass. We have plenty enough people carrying him anyway. You can walk Maria and Shadow can carry Cass."
"Yeah… okay." I was keeping my eyes away from my friends that probably giving me a weird look and I started thinking if they were wondering if I was alright.
"I said Vaatu name out loud. I wasn't trying to do that. How much control am I losing of this power? It feels like I am digging deeper and deeper in it since I sensed Amy." I say and I stand near Maria who was looking behind me and then to my face.
Cass coughed again and then it stopped and then he launched himself at me and they held him as much as he could. I kept my eyes forward and I approach Maria.
"I- Is Shadow not escorting me anymore?" Maria asked.
"No. I am. Let's go- "
"Why not?!" she asks and raises her voice at me and it throws me off guard. Maria notices her tone and blushes.
"Because I am. Walk." I say and Maria frowns and then she moves past me and I grab her arm. "Wrong way." I push her back to go forward and she stumbles and then looks behind me.
"Why can'tyou watch me!" Maria asks Shadow.
"…What? This isn't a damn rescue for you. Walk." Shadow states and Maria still refuses to walk so I grab her arm and she scoffs and walks on her own.
"Ugh. Men…" Maria says and she walks way faster than she was before and I catch up to her.
Maria eyes were forward and keep her eyes forward.
"So… why did you switch sides so quickly?" I ask and Maria eyes soften.
"Sally… she doesn't care about anyone since Scourge died. I think… just after losing a battle with Shadow. He told me that I had nothing to live for and he was right. I don't. I was following Sally and letting her use me because she is the only thing that had me feeling some happiness… so if I can… maybe free myself and do right. The princess said I could stay her kingdom." Maria says with a sad smile. "That doesn't sound too bad."
I watch say her last words and then I look behind me to Shadow who was talking to Silver about something and then I face forward.
"Why did you want Shadow to escort you?" I ask and Maria whips her head to me.
"Because he… I don't know?! Why does it matter! I just think if you all were to really want to watch me then you should get someone who was watching me from the beginning or knows more about me! Like, ugh! And does he act so mean all the time! "Maria asks and I cock my eyebrow.
"… you did kidnap me- "
"Okay and I found you! Saved the princess and now I am practically saving the world by letting you all find Sally and stop her!... You all couldn't do this without me."
"True. Thanks." I say Maria smiles.
"Welcome- "
The ground shakes and we stop from the vibrations.
"We are getting close. I think it's right under our feet." Maria leans down and touches the floor and then a white orb comes through the ground. Something I can only see. I reach out and touch it, but it moves away before I can do that. The ground vibrates again and Cass yells and thrashes once more but that continued to hold him the best they could.
"We have to be close." I say and then I grab Maria's arm and bring her back to them. "She said it was straight down from here. Let's load up and drill right through."
"Right!" Knuckles says and then they drag Cass to the machine and Maria runs in front of me instead of me bringing her along and she gets closer to Shadow again. The machine stops and moving, and the latch open from the back and Cass resists a little but once he saw the princess he stopped and became calmer.
"Are we here?" Amy asks and the rest on the machine scoot over to make more room but we kept Cass in the back.
"Yes, it should be right under." Maria says and the back hatch closes and I decide to sit next Amy who was already looking at me.
"What's the plan when we get down there?" Blaze asks squeezing in beside me and Silver.
"Once we even drill in the ground, we all need to be ready for anything. Sally is going to try anything to get that spirit room open and I am guessing she is still down there because she knows we will come back for her. Ten isn't going to lay it easy on us as well and don't let him get close to you because he uses this move called 'chi blocking." I say and confusion shows in their faces so I explain more. "When I was trying to waste time, Ten pushed his fingers into my collarbone and I passed out slowly. Also, I wasn't able to use my bending abilities. I am not sure how he does it but one touch and your chi will be blocked so fight at a distance."
"Okay… what do we do with him?" Knuckles says pointing at Cass who was staring at Amy.
"Use him as bait. They may want him for an exchange. "Amy says.
"They won't." Maria says. "Sally had already talked about getting rid of him after this mission so Cass is nothing to her as well."
Cass frowned and said something with the covering on and I watch Amy lean in closer.
"Cass- "
Cass leaps up and Axel pushes him back down roughly.
"Listen to me." Amy says and Cass nods his head quickly. "If you- "
"Oh, shit. Here we go again. Adding on more enemies to the team. Have we learned nothing!" Shadow says and Amy stopped talking. "If you even DARE, say that if Cass helps out then you will set him free too, we might as well just open the fucking Spirit world for Sally."
"I was just going to say- "
"No!" Shadow interrupts Amy and I slightly feel her get warmer. "Whatever you are going to say or about to say is one of your sweet-ass princess thoughts- "
"At least let me finish speaking!" Amy yelled that made a little heat grow from her and even a small flame from her mouth.
"Speak! Please so everyone here can agree with your insane plan!" Shadow says and Amy blushed but still spoke.
"I was going to tell him, if we end up fighting them. Could he please cooperate and not make it more difficult for us since Sally already wants nothing to do with him." Amy says and Shadow laughs loudly and Cass slightly did too.
"Yeah, Cass!" Shadow touched Cass who looks at him. "Can you pretty princess please, not kill any of us even though you tried to kill half of the people on this machine?" Shadow mocks Amy and Amy stands up and I grab her wrist.
"Guys, arguing isn't going to help. We can't expect Cass to be on our side like Maria. But what we can do is latch him down in the machine. He doesn't have his super strength to get out of the handcuffs or harm any of us. We can lock him up in this machine and confront her ourselves. Maria, you are coming as well." I plan out and Maria shrinks.
"…why. I thought my only job was to get you all there! I can't… I can't face her- "
"You don't have a choice." Shadow pushes her up and she stumbles." Get the machine moving."
"No! You don't get it!" Maria eyes rushed in panic and she turns to Amy and kneels. "Princess, I can't let her see me. I'm not ready."
The princess face grew a small smile and looked past her and to the rest.
"You won't do it? Then tie her up Axel. She is now a prisoner just like Cass." Amy says and her eyes widen and Blaze pushes Maria on the ground and Axel takes rope from a bag and ties up and plops her right beside Cass.
"WAIT! NO! Princess- "
"You keep your mouth shut." Blaze says staring at her the most and there was no need for Axel to watch Maria now because Blaze had been waiting for this moment.
Maria mouth curved and she sulked in her spot and then Axel stands up and so do the air benders.
"Let's get started. I can sense it." Axel says and we the drill spins loudly, making the rock contraption vibrate and then the air benders provide acceleration.
"We are now moving!" Tails says and we hit the ground the drill goes through the ground and we all sit and while the machine gets dark. Us fire benders light a fire to keep an eye on the prisoners and each other while we moved through the earth. No one was nervous but Maria as we got closer and then once we the machine shook more, I started to feel nervous.
"Hopefully, stopping Sally won't be difficult. It's seven against two. That's it. All we have to do is take down Ten and Sally. Sally is the only one I have not seen fight as much besides some basic water moves here and there but I know that Ten is stronger than her somehow… or is that what they want us to think?"
My eyes move to Amy who was watching Cass and Maria carefully and I also see her hand was on the floor. My hand moves towards it and I slide my hand under her palm and her eyes move to mine.
She smiles again and grabs my hand fully while we went to an area, not knowing the outcome. An orb dashes through the machine and I watch fly through Cass and Cass jumps at the object going through him and that causes everyone to watch him carefully.
"Cass, don't start." Silver warns and Cass smiles and leans back and looks back to the princess.
"He reacted to it. Maybe he can see it too because of his ability." I think and I look at Amy and an orb was right in front of her. This orb was a faint lavender and was smaller.
"Can she see it too- "
Amy releases my hand and pokes the orb and the orb lets her. Amy moved her hand away and looked around to see if anyone could see what she was and her eyes meet mine. She looked all over my face and I look at the orb to let her know that she wasn't the only one seeing things.
I reach out and touch it too and looks at the orb and then to me.
"We both can see these orbs… but why is this one so close to her."
The machine shakes hard and I could already feel a temperature drop due to the icy room the spirit entrance was in. The machine pushes out quickly and we finally hit the ground light leaks in slowly.
"I see them." Axel stops drilling fast and I look at Tails.
"Yeah… we are back where we got Sonic." Tails says and then we all stand up.
"Everyone listens." I say fast because there was no telling what they were going to do. "Amelia stays on and Axel you too. You are still recovering and we need someone to watch Cass and Maria."
"What!" Amy says and she walks in front of me. "We are doing this together so you can't expect me to sit on here while you guys face her!"
"Yeah, Prince. You are out of your mind." Axel disagrees and starts to walk off the drill.
"Listen to me. We don't need injured people fighting. We have to think about Rouge and Cream. The only healers we have because Amelia is still trying to recover and you are our only way out because we can't trust Maria. You especially need to stay put." I say.
"Sonic is right. If things go to worse then come out but I think with the fire and air benders together then we should be alright." Tails says and Amelia sighed.
"It's fine." I pat her shoulder and then Axel who was looking worried too.
"Okay…. We will be watching from here but if any of you get hurt then I'm coming out." She says and I smile.
"We will not. So Shadow, Blaze. Air and water benders. Let's go." I say and then Cass starts to laugh making me stop. "And if Cass tries anything, you know what you have to do."
"Got it." They all say and we head off the drill.
The cold and warm chill from the vortex spinning before us made my walk slower.
"Is that…" Blaze slowed her talked and I watch it move quickly and violently.
"Yeah… the entrance to the spirit world." I say and take the lead.
"You weren't kidding about what you described this. I think that dumb blonde might have had a got reasoning why we can't Sally into this. Something doesn't feel right." Shadow watches the vortex rotate and Silver walked up too.
"Let's all stay together. No matter what. We don't know what we are facing."
"Or what Ten and Sally can still do." Knuckles adds because we saw Sally smiling brightly while looking at all of us.
"Wow! I knew it wouldn't be long until you would come back to prince." Sally says and Blaze punched her fists together, causing fire to erupt. "And you brought your friends."
"Sally, we came back to stop you. You and Ten. Are both outnumbered. Right now, I am giving you the chance to surrender. "I say and my voice echoes over the entire room.
Sally looks around at all of us as the giant portal behind her swirls around loudly and then smiles.
She lets out a loud wicked laugh and the portal turns red.
"Sonic… we could just stop her right here." Blaze whispers and I stare at Sally from far away.
"Phew…. That was hilarious, Prince. Where was this sense of humor when I wanted to be friends with you?"
"I wasn't joking- "
"Neither Am I." Sally's spats and she stands up and I watch her moves. "You are saying that I'm outnumbered but I know Cass and Maria are out there somewhere."
"I wouldn't be too sure of that if it's something you can't prove." Shadow says and Sally smirks.
"Ohh… and what's your name? I think I've seen you around the forest." Sally says and Shadow steps forward but then Silver stops him.
"Shadow- "
"We are running out of time and I'm running out of patience." Shadow says and I nod my head.
"Fine. If you don't to listen by reason then we are going to have to do this by force."
My voice would echo once I talked and Sally sat there, smiling.
"Ten. You have two orders." Sally's says and Ten steps up and my eyes move to his as the wind kicks up.
"First…. Stop the dark hedgehog's powers."
"Stop his powers?" I thought in my head and then Ten eyes move exactly to Shadow. "The chi blocking!"
"And second. Have the prince on his knees in front of me since he is so excited to be back."
The room ran silent and Shadow blasted past me causing me to rush and tackle him to the ground.
Shadow sees me holding him down then he elbows me in the face and I fall off.
"Shadow wait! It's a trap!" I yell but he was already approaching Ten and so were the others. Then the lights shut off.
The only light was from the intense whirlwind of air and the flashing light from it too.
All I heard is yelling…. Flames of fire… more wind added onto more wind…
"SHADOW!" I heard Silver yell and then I woke up. A charge up a huge fire flame and shoot in the air so I could see something and I watch Ten shove his fingers under Shadows arm and then Shadow fell to the floor.
Silver pushes them both back and I then see Ten eyes hit mine for one moment. And then it got dark again.
"He is coming for me next."
I flip and I feel pressure slam in front of me and then I stumble back because I see Silver shaking Shadows unconscious body.
"Why isn't he moving? Did he really take his power away.? What is Ten?" I think and then my back hits a wall and I listen to something slam beside my face.
The lights flashed three times and I see a shiny thick blade, slammed into the wall behind me and he stares at me.
"Seems like missed you. Just by an inch." Ten rips it out and slices for my head once more but I don't and shoot myself towards silver.
"Shadow! Wake up! "Silver was on the brink of tears and everyone else was trying to help carry him back.
"Wait. I can't go towards them. I'd put them in danger. Ten wants me."
I turn and Ten was running right behind me.
Ten puts his sword behind his back quickly and I charge at him. Both of our hands collide to each other, pushing against each other.
"I've been waiting on the chance to for this." Ten says and I grip his hands more and flames puff out my mouth.
"Likewise!" I swing at Ten with my foot colliding to the ground because he easily dodged it and then I punch with fire trying to catch him off guard.
"He moves quick and sees almost everything I am about to do but if I can catch him off guard somehow then maybe I could take him out."
I another blast of fire right at him but he takes his sword out and slices through it. Ten then approaches me slowly and I take steps back circling him.
Ten runs directly to me then it got dark again. An orb rushes by and I see him charging at me with his sword and I dodge it late and it slices my arm but I grab the base of the sword and warm my hands quickly to get him to let go but he didn't.
Ten slams his head into mine, wrapping his leg under my ankle and pushes me down to the ground hard. It was dark but I knew I had to move. Sparks appear in my hand and I shoot out a big flame of fire to light up the area and I jump up.
When the flashing stopped that's when I chose to run at him and I shoot a fire fist to his face but I hit no one. So, I lit flame and I looked around quickly.
"Where did he go- "
I then get picked up and tackled. Ten lifts me over his shoulder was running quickly and then I felt wind pick up.
I place my hand on his back and I start burning to let me go but even the burns I put on his back wouldn't stop him. I knew him hard in his chest and that didn't work so I blast with my feet and slide off but he grabs my ankles.
"Let go off me you son of a bitch!" I growl and Ten touches my ankle and I felt the flame stop.
I drop to the floor from the surge of coldness and weird staticky feeling in my legs and he throws me on the ground.
"Ah… why are my legs asleep." I breathe heavily and then the lights turn back on as I get on one knee and I heard a familiar laugh.
"Wow, great job Ten. Exactly what I wanted to see." Sally foot was near my face and I peer up at her.
Sally moved her wrist and ice held me down to the ground but then I break but Ten moves in front of me with a blade to my neck.
"Don't move." He warns and he had the upper advantage on me.
"Sonic!" Blaze yells after me and I didn't turn my head to look at them.
"Blaze wait!" Knuckles says and I hear flames of heat rush on my back.
"Blaze don't move! I can't move!" I yell and then I listen to her stop.
"My legs… they are stalled. I can't even feel them. I could blast myself away but… Looks like I really took Ten for granted of his abilities again."
"Great! I'm so glad I have everyone's attention! Now!" Sally stands up and I do too but it wasn't. My stands shakingly and I felt unnatural urge to walk towards the spinning vortex. "You either all stay put or I kill him. Which one do you want?"
"You bitch! Sonic! You can't let her just put you in there!" Blaze yells at me but my legs move slowly as I take another step.
"I- "
My legs start moving fast, uncoordinatedly and my mouth wouldn't budge.
"Sonic! What are you doing!" Knuckles yelled at me.
"Knuckles! It isn't me! I can't talk!" I thought loudly and I continued to proceed to the vortex. Soon my legs were jogging and then I hear flames, wind.
Sounds of fighting and ice being thrown past me to the vortex that opened to me. It was getting louder and brighter. And my brain was feeling fuzzy. My ears were ringing and I couldn't stop my legs. I blinked it got dark but when I would open my eyes, I would get closer.
"Shit! I'm losing conscious! I'm too close to this thing! Someone! Anyone stop me! I'll lose! I'll die if I go in here again!" I thought and my eyes watered.
"Just when I made friends… and even a girlfriend- "
Ice wraps around my ankle and I open my eyes and look down at it.
"Ice? What water bender would do this- "
Pink hair flew past my face and she wrapped her arms around my stomach. I look down and I watch her freeze herself to the ground and push me back as she melts the ice and around my ankles.
"What are you thinking?!" Amy yells at me and I stare at her angry blue eyes.
"Amy… this… I'm not walking."
She tries to pull us back but it was sucking both of us in now.
My arms move out and I watch grab Amelia's shirt tightly. Amy looked me confused and my eyes widen too.
I pushed her.
Amy stumbles back and flies into the vortex. Her hair disappearing as fast as it could and I felt control of my body right after.
"AMELIA!" I yell out and charge into it but the vortex stops immediately.
Amelia floats in the midair, with a gold stream of light floating on the outskirts of her body. Her eyes were gold and bright. Her fingers were moving slightly.
Soon big push of air comes from her and she starts to drop the midair. I run out and fly and catch her. Sliding on the ground and looking at her face.
"Amelia…" I say softly and I touch her face. Her eyes were open but she wasn't responding. Or reacting. "Hey…" I say and I tap her face while she glowed a bright gold color.
"Hey! Amelia!" I yell and she still doesn't respond.
My eyes search over her entire body and the feeling of pushing her in there started to haunt me.
"Say something…" I say to her and then I listen to footsteps behind me.
"What… why is she?" Rouge was lost from words and I closed my eyes.
"What…. Why is she glowing!" Axel had left the drill too and jumped the ground with me.
"Wake her up!" Axel takes her from my hands and I take her back. "Axel… just hold on- "
Axel shoves me back Amelia fell on the ground and her bright gold light got orange.
"Axel, wait!" I say and he starting shaking her.
"Amy!" she was turning red and I grabbed his hands.
"Don't wake her!" I yell and he frowns at me.
"He is right. I wouldn't disturb the spirit world entry test. That could cause her to be stuck in-between both worlds forever." Sally says and we look towards her.
"What the fuck is she talking about?" Knuckles says and I make sure she goes back to gold and she does slowly.
"Tell them Sonic. She entered the world, didn't she?" Sally words made me angrily so I stood up and charged at her.
"Wait!" Silver says and he jumps in front of me. "Sally is the only one who knows about what is going on. We can't hurt our information about where the princess is right now!"
"Smart one! Unless you want her to stay there forever. I mean you did push her- "
"You made me!" I yell at her and she laughs.
"No, but I did promise you that if you broke our promise again, that I would harm the princess. Did I not? I think the only person to blame is yourself."
I frown at her and Silver touches my arm.
"Don't let her get to you." He says and I nod my head.
"Tell us what we should expect! You want in don't you!? How can we secure her survival?"
"Hm… Don't touch her. That's all." Sally says and sits down. "And possibly be prepared for her not to survive. She knows nothing about what she is facing. So, ii would get your healers ready at any time to heal her body from failing the test. It's a consequence. Only the strong can pass it. But also… it hasn't rejected her for not having two spirits so look like she was lucky! I tried to kill her, haha." Sally says and I turn away from her.
"Cream! Rouge! Tails!" I rush over and they looked worried.
"Is… is she going to make it- "
"We don't have time to think like that! Be ready to heal her no matter what the outcome is! Tails be stand by for a resuscitation. She might need a shock if her heart stops." I say and everyone was looking more worried but moved into place.
"Oh no…. Amy." Rouge says and sits closer to her. "We are watching her."
"Okay… Blaze." I say and she looks at me. "Tell Maria to bring the drill over here. We have to watch Cass and no one is."
"Yes sir." Blaze flies off and Sally smiles as she watches her.
"What about Shadow…" Silver says and he was laying nearby.
"He should wake up soon. The same thing happened to me earlier and I was out for a minute. Don't worry." I say and Silver watches Shadow while Knuckles watched him too and Sally and Ten who were watching from afar.
"M-Mother?" Amy says quietly and I turn my head fast and watch her.
"She said her mom's name…" Tails says and I watched a tear fall from her eye.
"She is going through the first test. Just like how I was…" I swallow heavily.
"It shouldn't be long. Spirit world moves faster than it does in our time." Sally says and I stare at Amy's face as she twitches slightly.
"You can do this, Amy. You can pass the test."
Sorry I was gone but I shall finish this story before the year is over! I promise!
