Amy
My eyes open fast and I lean up just as quick.
"What." I say and I look around at the grass and then rock cave I was in that had an opening from the ceiling that let in the sun.
I stare at the sky and my breath I took makes me stop breathing. Because I could smell… a light floral scent… but she always smelled like citrus or coconut oil from what she put in her hair.
Or what she put in my hair.
"I never should have shown you my secret garden. You are leaving books everywhere… and the grass is wet. My feet feel disgusting." She says and my lips tremble as I turned my head. Tears flow from my face as her pink hair was flying past her back and her crown wasn't on.
She never wore her crown.
"Woah! It's okay Rosebud! You can leave your books everywhere… Sorry. Didn't know you could cry in front of me."
"Rosebud…. She would call me rosebud."
"Amelia?" My mom says and she sits on the hammock." Bad dream?"
"Dream?" I say and she tilts her head and then brings me into a hug.
"Why are you crying? You woke up and cried when you saw me?" She says and I could feel her hands on my back.
"Because…" My mind went blank and she let go of the hug and waited for me to speak. "I… I can't remember."
"Okay?" she says and then laughs. Her laugh was joyous and loud and I watch her stand. "You are such a silly! Come on! I made lemon cake! The lemons from our garden- oops I mean my garden! You are in here more than me now so I said ours." She smiles and I stand up and the ground was wet.
"Well, we can share it. Sharing is nice I supposed. That would be the queen like thing for me to say." She says and I watch her talk and then she stopped again.
"Rose?" My mother said.
"Yeah? Sorry. I don't know why I feel so…" I start to look off but she jumps in my face.
"Feel what?"
"I don't know. I don't feel… here. Maybe I slept for too long." I look back at the hammock that I laid on and then I turned around.
My mom stared at me for a moment and I did too.
"What?" I ask and she smiled and shrugged her shoulders.
"I don't know! Making sure you are okay! Let's run!" My mom ran and then she flew instead and I watch her flames blast from her.
"I can't fly!" I yell and she pauses.
"Then run! Let nothing stop you!" she yells and I looked around and I saw my kingdom. Standing tall and firm in the bright day sun, cascading over the world.
I stare at the flag waving and I blink a couple of times.
I start to walk and I stare at the ground and then I pause once I saw stone. It was sharp and black.
Randomly placed where I looked and I lean down to pick it up. I stand back up and I flip it around and then I felt heat and I see my mom flying back to me.
"My rosebud being a flower in the grass!" She hugs me and takes the rock out of my hand and throws to the grass. "Let's go!"
She took my hand and ran forward and then we entered the castle.
"There she is! I'm so sorry, your queen!" Rouge said and I watched her frown at me.
"Haha, no big deal. You know Amy runs everywhere." My mom says and holds my hand with her warm one. "But if you are going to be by her side then do keep an eye on her."
"Yes mam." She says and then she pokes my forehead. "If you leave tell someone!"
"Sorry… Rouge." I say softly.
"Are you okay?" she asks.
"Y-…" My head shook and I felt dizzy as I stood in one spot.
"Amy?" Rouge says and it all stops.
"Huh? I'm fine." I walk off and follow my mom to the kitchen.
"Are you sure? You seem spacey." My mom says and I smelt the lemon.
"Yeah, maybe I need some water." I let go of her hand and I walk to the kitchen.
"Good afternoon princess! Are you hearing for some tea?"
I watch my chefs work quickly.
"No… just a water. I'll get it myself." I say and then touches my hand. "Are you sure? We can get it."
"No… its fine." I say and I grab a clean glass and then pour water into it.
"What's going on with me. I feel so… dissociated." I turn the water off and then someone throws a knife into the sink to get cleaned and I stare at it.
It shined and laid still in the sink.
"Huh." I say out loud.
"Rose!" My mom yells from the door. "This bread won't eat itself!"
I walk out of the kitchen and then I see the fresh slices cake on for her and one for me.
"Sit. Sit." She says and I sit in front of her.
"So." She eats with her mouth full. "Your father is gone and I thought we should spend sometime together! WE never get too."
"Because you and him are mostly gone." I say and take a bite into my cake.
"The fire nation can be tedious so I cannot exactly be here most of the time." She says and I nod my head. "But I am here now so I want to spend every second I have with you until this is over."
"until what is over." I say while eating and my mom didn't speak so I look at her and she was looking outside. "Mom?"
"Do you ever think about… the stars." She says and her eyes move to mine. "I mean where do they go when the sun goes down… they appear at night but not during the day… tch are they even real?"
I look towards the sky and looked at the light blue. I was staring at it as well when I woke up and then my mom laughs.
"I don't… know where that came from." She says and I noticed she finished her cake but she did so quickly. "You done yet! I want to go over some queen things. For when you become one."
"I…" I look at my plate and my cake were finished too. "I... guess so- "
"Great!" She stood and fanned me over and I rushed and followed. "I want to go over a few things because I don't know how much time I have left here."
I stare at the back of her head and then to her hand.
"Are you going back too… um. The war?"
"Yeah…" she says and then turns and smiles at me. "We will have fun. Okay?"
"Okay." I smile and I grab her hand.
"That's not like you to hold my hand." She says and I smile.
"You aren't around much so this is nice. Just don't tell anyone." I say and she laughs heartedly.
"I won't!" She yells and then we head outside.
"Your queen!" one of our servants kneels for and she bows.
"We did not know you were leaving the kingdom today! Should we call you a ride- "
"No need! We are walking on foot today!" My mom says and then they bow to me too as I walk with her.
"First! We are going to the farmers market, town square, schools and then our training arena! I have to show you about how when you are a queen, you have to show that you care about your village when you are actually there!"
"Alright." And my response makes my mom stop.
"… Hm? You actually want to do that?" she says and I nod my head.
"Why wouldn't I?" I say and she laughs.
"Maybe you should sleep in the garden more often! You usually don't feel like doing anything."
"I don't know… I care about the kingdom too so this is important to me." I say and follow beside her.
"I'm glad to hear that!" she says and we get closer to the farmers market and it was already bustling with business.
"The queen!" A kid yells and runs over to her and I stand back watch everyone greets her.
"Hello! Everyone!" she gets done hugging the child and talking to citizens gathering around her.
"Everyone looks up to her…" I watch even an older mother shed a tear of the queen appearing and taking fruit she grew herself.
"Now. Now. Me and Princess are going through Queen orientation so please! Go back to your routine!" she says and everyone thanks her and I start getting hellos as well.
Some of them went back to their posts while others watched in awe.
"Alright! First! I make sure that everything is going accordingly here! This is how most of the town makes its money and to make sure no rotten food is being sold. "she says and I nod my head and follow but then I spot a pair of scissors shinning but then they get taken away to open some pears and I run into my mom.
"Try this!" she hands me a peach and I rub it then bite into it.
"Wow… so sweet! IT taste like- "
"Yep! The peach tea we have at the castle because we too provide from this market!" she says and then we exit the end of it.
"Every store and person here, pays a good tole of how our castle holds up. That's why as a queen, even though you are a royal, you see everything as equal… if the world saw the same then it would be a better place to live in." She speaks.
"Right…" I agree with and then sighs.
"Next!" she says and I scurry to follow her. "Also! The faster you move the quicker you get stuff done so you can sleep in the garden all day." She says and flies on top of building and I watch her.
"I'll beat you to the school!" she takes off and I watch her as her flames whip the air.
"Hey! Not fair!" I yell and I start running, looking for some water.
"Princess?" says a baker, holding a bucket of water.
"Can I borrow this!" I ask and he hands it too me and I water bend them on my arms making tentacles. "Thank you!"
I latch onto the roof and throw myself in the air.
She was halfway there so I extend the water down the village and grab onto and jump off the building. The wind whips my hair back and I launch myself again at in air, getting closer to her, jumping roof to roof.
"Dammit!" I say and I water blast myself towards the school, edging closer and closer but she lands their first and then smiles as she turns around.
She catches me and laughs loudly.
"Haha, you gotten faster!" she says and places me down and I frown.
"Ugh… how do you go so fast!" I say and she opens the door and I follow her in.
"I use my abilities to the best I can. You know…. Technically being a water bender is the best ability in world. Which is what science saying so the more the train the better you can be. You can even be better than me who has mastered fire bending from a very young age." She says and I look around the school.
"Well, you came from the fire village. Didn't they try to kill you because you were stronger than the queen?" I ask and smiles.
"Yep. Stronger, popular…. Everything a Fire Queen should be."
"…How did you get stronger?" I ask and she stops.
"One. Mentors. We all have them growing up so every second. You should be asking them all that you can. Two. I train every day. Three. Don't live life so comfortably. You will never experience anything and fourth… "she stops at the cafeteria door and smiles at me. "Keeping your friends, enemies and ones you love close. I think that's what keeps me all sane and strong is because I have ones who depend on me. Even my enemies."
"Even her enemies?" I wonder and she opens the door.
"Good morning!" she yells and scares the cafeteria.
"The queen! The Princess!" The high schoolers jump up from their lunch approach us.
"Hello- Hey! No throwing food!" she says like that was her child but… she does take care of the kingdom so everyone is family too her.
"Please show us your blue flames!" A girl asks.
"Hm… I don't know. Show me yours first!" she says and everyone stands back.
The girl jumps and flips, with fire sending out of her foot and everyone claps and so does my mom.
"Okay! Let me see some earth bending!" she says and then of course the earth benders rush forward but then they start arguing for not having enough room.
"Okay! One person!" she says and chooses another girl and she pops a chunk of the floor off and throws it across the room.
"Perfect! Okay and…. Where is Lileah?" My mom says.
"The counselors office." Says a student and my mom seemed concerned.
"She is? Well, I will go find her! Continue your lunch!" she says and they start to complain but my mom stops.
"We wanted to see flames!" she says and everyone agrees and I wanted to see it too.
"Well, if we all aren't here then how can we do anything together!" she says and then she smiles at me. "Right, Amelia?"
"Ah… yes. If one of us is down then we need to be there for them." I say and the students agree and we leave after.
I follow silently and we enter the room and I start to hear crying
"Excuse me?" MY mom says before entering.
"Queen! Your majesty!" she bows and Lileah bowed too while tears dripped from her face but she was shocked to see her hear.
"I was looking for my little air bender!" she says and Lileah smiled.
"H-Hello…" she bows and my mom kneeled to her.
"What's with the tears, love?"
"I miss my older sister." She says and my mom face dropped. "She has been… at war for so long and… I'm the only air bender in the kingdom. I feel so lonely." Lileah said.
"I know how that feels. "My mom says and smiles at me before talking. "Before I came to Asendel. I was the only fire bender."
"Really?"
"Yep! IT was named the water kingdom for so long but once I was saved from your king… It was changed to Asendel. For equality for all. That's why we changed it and when I came here. I was a spy for the fire kingdom, saving other fire benders, earth benders and air benders like your family so they can be safe just like me." She says and I watch her talk.
"So, it's okay to be different. We all have different gifts, so we all have different ways of saying to the world who we are… and you are perfectly and beautifully the only airbender here. Use that as a one up." She says
"Thank you." She says and My mom smiles and then looks at me.
"Princess, do you have any words of encouragement?"
"Uh… yeah." I kneel to her too and the little girls waits for me to speak.
"It's fine to be different but… about your sister. I know what it is like to miss someone. Thinking about your last conversation with them wanting to see them but you have to know that they never leave you. No matter how far. They are always thinking about you too."
"Who is it your miss?" Leilah smiles.
"My…" My brain drew blank and I look at my mom. Her kind face made my eyes swell up and I stand up fast.
"I…" My mom watches in curiosity now and then I laugh. "Um. Excuse me for a second."
I walk out the office and head outside of the building to get some air.
"What's going on with me?" I look at my foot and tap the earth to see if it was real… why am I trying to see if the ground is real?"
"Ha… are you okay?" mom says and spins around in front of me.
"Yes… I don't know what is with me today. Every time I look at you, I feel weird…"
My mom laughs and grabs my hand and we start to stroll. "Maybe because it's been a while since we saw each other."
"Where have you been?" I asked and we walked through town and it took her sometime to answer as we finally made to the training area.
"The war…" she says and then opens the door for us and I walk in.
"Right. We just said that." I blush at forgetting and she laughs.
"Okay, I am going to need you to focus!" My mom says and then we walk into a dirt ground with water pouring out of four tubes and landing into another pool of water.
"We are on the water bending side so this gives you an advantage to fight me." My mom says and people were starting to gather around as the news spread that we were here.
"Fight you? I thought you were going to teach me something." I say and my mom laughed loudly.
"Oh, so you are saying you are too skilled to fight the strongest female fire bender in world!" She yells loudly and everyone cheers.
"The first one to fall on your butt wins." She says and I nod my head and squat into a position.
My mother had one hand behind her back and one forward as she watched me and then she started to circle around the arena and I did too.
"And you better not touch the ground in thirty seconds. I taught you better than that." MY mom points at me and then she pauses hard and send a huge blast of blue flames. I turn around and I send water right at it and it creates steam but she was still throwing raging waves of blue flames at me which I go back at her with my flaming flashes of water. She takes another step and start rolling water around to block any of the fire hitting me and then I saw her appear from under my water shield and she jumps in and I block my face as she throws a fist and then a strong kick to the side that I block as well.
"You can't only be a mid-range fighter!" she yells at me and then excitedly flames steam from her mouth and takes a big breath and I duck, feeling the flames steam my back and the pain makes me wrap my arms around her waist and try to launch her to the ground but I couldn't as her strong quads stood in place and then she squats and grabbed under my arms.
She takes a step out and spins with me still holding on and I sent hard to the ground with my back hitting it and I bounce off of it.
"That's game! "She yelled in victory and I wince and push myself up until I saw her hand.
"That wasn't that bad! I wasn't expecting you to try to throw to me to the ground so soon!" she smiled at me and I grab her hand.
"Welp. Time to go- "
"No, one more." I say and held my side from being extremely thrown to the ground and she looked at me as I held my side.
"Hm… You sure. You know we both hate to lose so even if you are hurt then I won't hesitate to hurt you again to win." My mom says and I let it go, trying to ignore it and I get in my fighting position and breathe. "Oh… okay. If that's what you want."
My mom puts her hand behind her back again and her hand out as she watches me intensely.
We start walking in the rotating motion again and I even limp a bit as I felt my ribs tell me to stop moving but I couldn't. I had to show her that I wasn't weak.
Flickers of fire escaped her mouth as she launched fire at me again.
"She is trying to keep me at a distance again." I think and I get water from behind me and I start bending and flipping to step myself from getting burned.
I try to run at her while there was mist in the air and then she sees me coming easily and laughs.
I quickly put up an ice block and the flames burst on the sides of it.
"I think it's so cute you think I'm going to let you get close to me!" She yelled over the blaring power of her and then I kick the ice block at her that she dodges easily and then steps backwards and then she threw her foot at me with more flames to get me to move back and then the big power of flames come back as I try to get through them.
"Tch! It's so hot!" I think as I stop her flames the most I could and then she paused and clamp her hands together near her mouth and shot it at me harshly.
I gather the most water I could and put myself in it and I shoot myself through her blast. I notice that I was through and I reach out for her shirt but then I look down and see her fist and she slam into my stomach and I wince.
"Smart but not quick enough- "
My feet hit the ground and I still had my water in my hand so I wrapped it around her ankle and I launch her in the air and she starts to deceased to the ground and then she uses flames to stop herself from the touching the ground… knowing she would do that and then the rope of water I had to her ankle throws me in the air.
"I'm not losing yet!" She yells and floats but then I grip the water and from and ice ball and I swing it down at her.
I had created a meteor hammer and it slams right into her stomach and she hits the ground hard and I land above her.
My mom's head hit the ground and the sphere of ice cracks.
"Ha! I beat you- you!" I stutter and held my stomach because she punched me so hard.
My mom looked at me in disbelief and I laugh. "In your face!"
I walk over to the water and fall into it and I start healing my side.
Everyone cheers for me and I laugh as she gets up slowly and looked over at me.
"When did you learn to do that?!" She yelled and I laugh.
"I…." I lost my train of thought as I couldn't remember and I finish healing and she laughed at me.
"You really beat me! I am so proud!" She says and jumps in the water with me, hugging me in water and I laugh at her. "When did you get so strong?"
"I don't know." I mumble into her shirt and then she releases me.
"That was fun! Let's go! Thank you everyone for watching!" she says and we run out of it and I had a smile on my face.
"Now let's go back home and file paperwork!" She says and then I stop in my place.
"Ugh, what? Paperwork…" I complain and she laughs.
"That's the most ''you'r' thing you have said all day!"
"Yeah… paper work is boring." I complain.
"IT's very important. This paper work comes from the village, you know. New laws, issues, complaints, sentencings… you have to do this for them too Rosebud, you have the power for the people." She says and I nodded my head.
Once we got back, I followed her up to the office study room, where mostly all of our generals and commanders were there waiting for us.
"Put all the paper work on my desk! Amelia is doing it today!" She announced and everyone started to bow and then I grow as I plop down in the seat and I look at the first one.
"After this… I'll show you some more things and call it a day!" she said and I grabbed the pin and my eyes focus on the sharp end.
"Go ahead." She says and I start on the first one.
"Even though this is boring. I think it's nice that she went out of her way to teach me this… I'll learn as much as I can."
Hours later.
"And this… this is what your grandmother gave me." She hands me her ring and I look at it. "It's very special so don't lose it. If you warm it up." She warms it and then it turns pink and shows a rose. "It shows a rose!"
"Wow… because I am… a Rose." I say and she smiles at me.
"You are. And with this ring. You will carry on our legacy." She says and slides it on my finger.
"Thank you." I say and she pats my head.
"Mmhmm!" she says and still pats my head, she looks over me and I do the same but then I grab her hand and stop her.
"Um… thanks for teaching me all of this stuff- I never would have known… or remembered."
"Remembered? This is my first time telling you." She says and I blink a bit.
"Oh… right. I felt like I have heard this before." I say and she smiles.
"Sorry, I have been out of it." I say and my mom laughs and walks off while I sit down. "I feel so tired."
I lay on her bed and then I listen to fast movement and I open my eyes.
She was holding a spear. A sharp one. The ones she trains with and it was held at my chest.
"Mom- "
My mom lets tears fall out of her eyes and I lean up scoot back.
"What are you doing- "
A hand touches my shoulder and I turn around fast and I see my mom in front of me.
"How did you- "
"Amy! This isn't me!" She says and I looked at her as her lips moved but they froze.
"Huh- "She grabs my neck and squeezes. My eyes close and I grab her hands trying to pry them off but her muscular arms held me down.
"Mom- "
My mom appeared from behind me and tackled herself. They were both wrestling on the floor until she punched herself so hard in the face she finally stopped moving.
She stands up and turns to me and then hugs me.
"Amelia… Oh my god. What are you doing in the spirit world!?" She says getting on one knee.
"The what?" I say and she shook her head.
"Listen to me!" she says and her eyes were filled with tears. "This isn't real! This is a test to see if you are worthy enough to enter the spirit world! Whatever you have to do… do it! To get out! IF anyone tries to kill you then do it before they can! It takes your memory to see if you could make it to the spirit world. Know that everyone here is fake! This isn't real!"

The world around me starts to turn dark and everything melts and my mom looks around too.
"Shit. They know I am here- "
"Wait…" My eyes fill up and I touch her hands. "So… that's why I cried…. If this isn't real then… you really are still gone."
My mom cried too and I gasp as I touch her hands but then they float through.
"No, wait… I wanted to stay longer… mom no. I- "
"It's okay." She says and wipes her face. "If you are here. I can find you again. I won't leave you. I never have. I've seen everything, Amelia."
"But… I'm confused. What am I doing here?"
"I don't know but you hav- "she stopped talking and I look at her face.
"Mom?" I say and she shakes her head.
"I'm losing connection. But I love you, Amelia!" She takes me into a big hug and my eyes burn.
"No… not yet mom. I still have so many questions and I don't know how to run a kingdom… not without- "
"I told you everything you need to know today. We had fun today, didn't we?" She asks and I was trying not to blink so I could look at her for as long as I could.
"Y-Yeah."
"All you can do is protect Asendel… your friends and the world for destroying itself. You can do it." My mom says and kisses my forehead.
"I believe in you Rosebud." She speaks.
"Thanks mom. I love you." I say and blink.
"Hm? I love you? I think that's too soon to say."
MY eyes open to Sonic taking the lead in the dark forest and I stop fast.
Sonic turns around and cocks his eyebrow?
"Are you okay- "
"Why are you doing this?!" I yell and wipe my face. "If you want to give me a test then talk to me to my face!"
Sonic stood there and looked around and then he looked back at me. "Amy… are you okay?"
I stare at Sonic and I take a step back and he walks closer to me.
"Hey… what's going on?"
"Sonic… don't come ANY closer to me!" I yell and he stopped.
"I… the I love you thing was a joke…" he says and then sighs and sits down on the ground like he would do in real life. "I'll sit here then until you want me near."
Sonic sat in the middle of the dark forest with his eyes on me and I watched him.
"What do you want."
Sonic stares at me and then he smiles. He starts to laugh and I step back more and once I did, he stopped laughing.
"Your mother has always been a genius. In real life and in spirit. The connection must be strong. She found you in five minutes." Sonic's voice was darker and distorted and I stumble back. "Clever girl. Even without her you were still feeling lost. Like this wasn't real."
Sonic then stands up and then turns around. I start to look around for a way out of here but once I turned around, he was right behind me.
"Let's see if you can kill the ones, you mostly care about!" A blade appears in his hand and slashes across my face before I could react.
I touch my face and back up as he approaches me.
"Sonic…" I say and seeing him this terrifying of me scared me. "Sonic, don't make me."
Sonic then leaps at me and I fall back and he jumps on me with his hand launching at me and I stop his hand from going into my chest. He pushes down and I grimace and close my eyes
" . Die. I will not let you into the spirit world!" He pushes it more.
"I don't want to be here! "I say.
"Then kill me! Show me that you are selfish like every other person who was tried for this test!" he yells and I wince. "Stab me!"
"I can't! I yell and the pressure gets more.
"WHY. NOT!"
"BECAUSE I WPULD NEVER HURT SONIC! I… CARE ABOUT YOU TOO MUCH!" I say and then the pressure releases.
Sonic leans up and I breathe heavily.
"You do… even after all I done." He speaks.
"Yes… even if you wanted to kill me… I couldn't do the same." I say and he stares at me.
"Let her in." he says and then the world starts to get brighter and Sonic fades off and I am left into a bright light.
"Permission granted." Says a voice and I close my eyes from the brighter lights.

My heart pounded and I cough harshly.
"She is breathing!" Rouge says and I blink and felt sleepy as I closed my eyes.
"Her pressure is too low! Sonic!" Tails says and then I see Sonic jump in front of me and he holds me in his arms, hugging me and warming me up.
"Amy, relax- "
"AHHH!" I push him off of me and Sonic fell back and I try to stand but then I felt faint. My head fell back and I hit it hard enough to feel even more dizzy.
"Her nose! It's bleeding." Cream had her hands on my neck and I cough out.
"Hey this is real life!" Tails yells at me and I couldn't believe that…
Because I could feel my mom… Smell her.
My eyes watered and Sonic came into view and I watched carefully.
And Sonic… he tried to hurt me.
"Amy… That wasn't real." Sonic crawls back to me and touched my head.
"Are you sure…" I say and Sonic smiles.
"Yeah… I'm not going to hurt you."
I let Sonic warm my head as I was feeling better but my body was ice cold. I get lifted up and then my face touched a chest.
"Hold her right there." Cream walked around and put her hands on my back.
MY eyes were too heavy to hold but Sonic was holding me up and warming me.
"Rouge! Can you try and heal Shadow!"
"Argh! He won't let me! Stop moving dammit!" Rouge yells to Shadow who was frowning and I blink slowly and see him arguing with Rouge.
"Hey." Sonic says to me and I move my eyes to him." You opened it… how?"
All I could do was blink and soak up the warmth while he held me and I close my eyes.
"No, Cream said you couldn't sleep. Your blood pressure is low." Sonic says and I try to keep them open. "Did you see… your mom? You said her name a lot while you were out."
My eyes watered and I nod my head and he pulled me close.
"I'm sorry you had to see that."
"I… could- smell her." I whisper and Sonic hugged.
"Mine too.
My eyes fill up again and knowing that she wasn't here broke me.
"But… Did I talk to her? Was that really her there?" I close my eyes and then I try to take a breath but my throat felt tight.
I move my weak arm and touch my throat and wheeze.
"I don't think she can breathe!" Tails says and I take a breath from panicking because how he jumped over me.
"What? She was doing fine?" Sonic says and then he lets Tails take my head and I felt my heart race.
"Probably a panic attack. "Tails says and I try to breathe but it felt so tight… and I felt so weak…
"I'm good with these!" Rouge says and she sits behind me while Tails held pushed me on my butt and held my arms up. "Take some breathers with me.
"My entire body hurts…And what…I can't even feel my…my…." My vision blurred and lean back into Tails.
"Hey! Shit! Fire benders!" he calls them over and I immediately feel heat.
"Here! Give her my jacket!" Knuckles yelled and threw it over me but then I shivered still. Even from the heat surrounding and my body being lifted from the cold floor.
"Sonic…. Why did it drain so much from her? She has two spirits so it shouldn't be that bad." Tails tries to understand and I close my eyes, instead of having them open and spinning.
"Sally tells me you have to be in perfection condition going in the test. It does some work to the body." He says and I grunt as a sharp goes in leg.
"O-uch…" I whimper and everyone was silent. "My foot… who is pinching me."
I look down and I see an orb near my leg and I swallow.
"No one…. Relax." Tails moves in front of it and the orb fades away slowly and I close my eyes once again.
"We have to move. We don't have time. Sally and Ten are already inside. "Shadow says.
"Shadow… your powers haven't even surfaced- "
"I don't give a damn!" Shadow says angrily and I open my eyes weakly as I hear footsteps of vibrations.
"She is bleeding out her nose and looks faint. I'm not about to let her do this to anyone else." Shadow says and then turns away.
"Shadow wait!" Silver says and then I try to look towards what was going but my body was failing to even stay awake.
"Shadow!" Sonic yelled and he moved slightly and I grunt. "Sorry. Uhm. Silver catch him!"
"Ahh! Shit is he really going in!" Blaze says.
"I'll go too!" I heard Maria run and then three shinning bright lights as then ran towards the entrance.
The room was silent and I felt the heat leave me, sending a shiver down my spine.
"they went in…. what's going to happen again?" Cream says and Sonic sighs.
"When you come out… you might come out as Amelia if you don't have two spirits."
Sonic's warning created room to be silent and I felt a hand on my face.
"Hey… what if… we brought her in." Blaze says and pats her head. "She isn't going to die. She is just weak and has no energy but here is a theory! If she could move… just as much as she did during the trial then maybe she would be better too!"
"Blaze… I don't know. She can't even keep her eyes open." Tails says.
"Well, we can't just have Silver chasing Shadow! Shadow ran into an unknown world with no abilities! I think we should help them out." Blaze says.
"Since when did you take a liking into Silver?" Knuckles said and then some laughs went on and I even smiled a bit too.
"W-What?! S-Silver is a friend!" Blaze said I watch her blush and she shove Knuckles.
"Hey, look. She is smiling." Rouge says and I open my eyes too.
"Maybe she is getting some energy back." Axel says and I listen to him move around. "Blaze might be right. I don't think I can sit here too after seeing them run after Sally and Ten."
"Then let's go!" Blaze says and stands up.
"What about Cass?" Tails adds and I was curious too. I had not heard anything from him since.
"He is just sitting there watching the princess. Probably wondering if she is alive." Axel says.
"Let's leave him here." Sonic says and then I notice that I was starting to get raised up. "I'll carry her in. If she isn't any better once we enter then I am carrying her the entire way." Sonic put himself on Princess duty and I carefully get brought to my feet.
"Ahhh…" My legs barely move and I feel more tired than ever as they help me get in Sonic's arms.
I raised up and my head cradled as I try to focus on breathing.
"Alright let's go- "
"MMMM!" Cass mumbles were from afar but I could hear him yelling.
"What now!" Axel said I opened my eyes.
"Seems like he is trying to tell us something." Blaze says and I look over to him.
He was panicked and looked right at me.
"S-son…" I barely whispered out his name but of course he would hear me either way.
"Yeah?"
"What if… he is trying to warn us." I get out and he held me closer and then walked over to Cass who started calm down but was looking at Sonic now.
"Take the cover off." Sonic says and Axel walks over rips it off his Cass's face, making him fall to the ground but then leans up.
"Say anything stupid and it's going right back on." Axel warns and Cass laughs but then stopped as he looks at me.
"Let me help you find Sally! The spirit world is way more dangerous than you think. None of you have been there but me. I am the only person who has stepped foot inside there!" Cass yells and then laughs. "You would get lost forever if you were too entire by yourself. And then the consequences after leaving the spirit world… Not a great mix… right Princess? You look so frail… let me help- "
"No." Sonic says and then Cass grins at him.
"Fine. Be that way. I couldn't care less of what happens to you… but the princess… we all know how valuable her life is and- "
"We don't need your help! You tried to kill her!" Blaze says.
"I did but now I have a change of heart! Let me help you stop sally and then throw me away in prison! I want to see the princess's safety!" Cass says.
"Bullshit. We can't trust him." Axel.
"I have my handcuffs on… Just let me help." He says and stood up slowly and Sonic took a step back.
"Look! I'll even go first!" Cass takes off warning and we move back as we watch him charge in the spirt world with no powers and he disappeared into the bright light.
"He is crazy." Tails states the completely obvious.
"We will be fine. "Sonic says and held me closer. "You ready?"
"Y-Yeah… stay together." I say, not knowing if I was going to be awake once we entered the spirit world.
They start walking and the light gets even brighter as we come closer. Feeling of air starts to warm around us and I close my eyes as we got closer.

My eyes open fast as I feel a random surge of energy and even the temperature had change quickly. I look up at Sonic and he was looking around at the vast land of trees and vines hanging from them. The grass almost looked teal because of the color of the whimsical sky.
"Woah." I heard Tails say and then Sonic looked at me just as fast.
"Are you alright?"
"Yeah…I think I can stand." I say and he lets me touch the grass and I freeze as I felt… almost like it was heart beat on the ground.
I looked around slowly and as I inhale the wet air, my legs moved forward.
"See! I told you guys she would be better!" Blaze points out as she slightly looked very confused to why the world looked like it did.
"That's great but the ground… I can… sense so much life… it's like the ground is even alive." Axel says.
"Where is Cass?" Cream notices and that's when we got our guard up and I bump into Sonic who stepped closer to me.
"Sorry." He says.
"It's okay- "
Suddenly a gust of purple wind pushes through us and I feel my Sonic grab me and face away from it as it runs through our body, pushing our hair back with a crazy amount of force and then it soon stopped.
"Ah… What was that?" I ask and I notice that I was the only one speaking and I open my eyes and see Sonic blinking rapidly and he drops me to the ground.
"Ahh! My eyes!" Blaze says and then everyone starts to sneeze and cough.
"Fuck what was that?!" Axel says and I look watch Sonic eyes turn a light purple and he starts blinking at me.
"Sonic? Are you okay?" I speak and he freezes as he looks at me.
His face was turning angry and he then he charges flames in his hand.
"Cass! Where did you take her!" he says and I look around me and back to him.
"What… Sonic- "
Sonic grabbed my shirt and lifted me easily as his eyes were filled with rage.
"Where are the princes!?"
"Sonic?! What are you doing?!" I yell and then I felt flames beside me and I see that Blaze was looking at Rouge weird.
"Hey… YOU GET AWAY FROM US!" She charges at Rouge and then Rouge starts fighting her back.
Everyone's eyes were purple and angry. They start fighting. Moving into the forest and breaking trees, smashing into bushes.
"Guys stop- "
"The purple air! What was in that!?" I wondered and then I turned my attention back on Sonic who was shaking his head but then he dropped me and rubbed his face.
"What is he seeing? Am I Cass?"
I stand quickly and I take a step back and then he hears it and listens to me. Flames pop in his fist and up his arm and I raise my hands up slowly.
"S-Sonic… It's me. The girl you like to piss off…" I try to joke to see if that would top the ticking fire bomb in front of me.
"I gave you your warnings Cass. Now I'm finishing it." He says and then the flames burn loudly on his arm.
I just take off and run through the forest while the rest of my friends were fighting each other and I try to think of way to stop Sonic for trying to kill me.
Think fast-
A rush of heat rushes on my back and I gather water and shield myself with by blasting it back because I had no idea what was coming for me and but lucky, I did the right thing.
Sonic had shot a huge fire blast my way and it was still coming. I wince as I try to hold it back but then I catch a flicker of his body above me and I roll back and he punches the ground with fire as well. Sonic then leans up slowly and I had never seen this him this angry.
I blush a bit as he walked to me as stood up and then I water bending quickly and froze him to a tree.
"Sonic! You look very attractive right now with the flames coming out of your arm!" I was trying to get him to realize that Cass would never say something like that but that only seemed to anger him even more.
"Stop saying dumb shit to save your ass. You took Amelia and I warned you." And the ice starts to crack.
"I am Amelia! Some weird air is making u hallucinate!" I say and he looks at his arm as he tries to get it free. "I… I remember the first place we kissed! In my bedroom! That's proof that I am, who I say I am."
"Shut your annoying ass mouth! Me and her did not have our first kiss there!"
I frown and blush and then I step towards him. "Yes, we did! How could you forget!"
He says and breaks from the ice easily and then runs at me.
"Oh fuck."
Sonic punches at me and I dodge it. He starts throwing blows, feet and elbows. Anything to put me on the ground but I was trying my hardest to block them.
"Argh!" Sonic punches at my ribs but I block it with my fore arms and wince.
"He is so strong when he is angry!" I say and then his hands move to my neck and shield but he grabs my arm instead and throws me to the ground hard.
"Ahh! Sonic!" I yell and then shield my face as he throws punches at my face that I block.
He grunts and pounds away at my arms shielding myself and I flinch.
"Get up and fight me!" he stops and I continue to protect myself, waiting for him to attack me. "Get up!"
He kicks my side and roll on my arm and then roll again and send water to him that he just reflects with burning fire that I had to dodge too.
I waterbend an ice spear and stand in fighting position and he stares at me and then squats in a fire formation, I had never seen him in.
"Sonic… wake up!" I bark and he was still looking at me like I was Cass.
He rushes to me and the blazes of fire comes back and I actually had to use my abilities to avoid to getting burned.
"Use those lighting abilities you don't deserve!" he yells as he shoots another strong blast of flames. I throw myself high in a tree and he follows me just fast.
"I have to think of something! We aren't even in the purple air anymore so why is…"
I get an Idea and I stop on a branch, letting him run into me and then he grabs my body harshly and slams onto the wet ground. The water splashes up from the impact and he tries to punch me again but I catch his fist. And then sends his other one and I catch it too and then his hand slips and he grabs my face.
Heat starts to appear fast and I wrap my legs around his strong back and throw him over to the ground.
"It doesn't matter how much you fight! I'm going to kill you this time Cass!" he says and I shut my eyes and then quickly I close my eyes and sense any water around me. In the trees, in the air, on my body from sweating from Sonic heat and then I shoot us in the air. A huge blast of water sending us to the sky and I felt Sonic grab my neck with body hands and he grabs my hair and pulls it back.
"Ahh! S-Stop! Wake up please!" I yelled and we start going higher and higher in the sky, ascending over the huge purple covered forest and then Soon I felt the humidity feeling leave and it was just normal air.
Sonic still held onto my face and his was burning my neck and then I grabbed his face.
I kiss him and blow air into his mouth. And that made him angrier because I'm sure it looked like Cass just kissed him so he grabbed my neck with his arm and started to choke me harshly.
I sat at his face and then tears broke from my eyes from not being able to breathe.
"S-Sonic- "I break out and then I felt him loosen up gently.
Sonic stopped and turned me around to him. He started blinking his eyes and I cough harshly from almost dying and then his eyes widen.
"Amy… Where… what- "
He saw me coughing and his eyes went back to soft and he looked his hands and then to me.
"Was… was I choking you?" he asked and I frown held my neck that was slightly burnt from being burned too.
I bring my arm back and I slap the fuck out of Sonic.
Sonic
"Yes! You were! Your dumbass!" she yelled and I rubbed my face after being slapped.
"I thought you were Cass!" I say and she looked even angrier." Amy… I wouldn't do that to you! It was an accident!"
Amy pushes me out of her water spout and I start descending but then I fly to her and she touches her face and I noticed I burned her.
"Shit! I'm sorry!" I say and fly back to her.
"You didn't know it wasn't Cass even when I kissed you?!" she complains and heals her neck and frown.
"I'm sorry!" I say and she turns away and I face palm but then I look down.
I could flash of fire and water throughout the forest and then I. look all around.
"That purple air must be toxic." She says and then I look at the princess who was looking too while holding herself up with water.
"Amy… I- "I stop talking because she was rubbing her forearms and I fly over to her. "Sorry…"
"Yeah…" She says and keeps her eyes from me. "The others… they are still fighting. How are we going to stop them?" She changes the subject and I look slowly away from her to the ground.
"Let's push them all the way to edge of the forest. The exit of it doesn't seem that far." I say and she nods her head and then starts to descended down fast and I blush and drop down to her.
"Are you mad at me?" I ask and she keeps her eyes from mine.
"No." Her eyes didn't meet mine and we both stand on the ground and walk towards the action.
"Okay…" I follow her and hold my arm. I also see some of the damaged I caused and then I look at the back of her.
"Shit. I just got on her good side… why do I keep on doing this. This time it wasn't even my fault but I should notice something was off when Cass kissed me."
"There they are." She says and starts to run and I nod my head and then look around at Axel wrapping everyone together and we squat in a bush.
"There!" he says and admires his work.
"Let us go, Fire nation trash!" Rouge yelled and Axel cocked his eyebrow.
"I'm not the fire nation! You are!" He yells and I watch them bicker and argue.
"Grab Axel and I'll flush out the rest." Amy says and she runs to right and I run directly at Axel and then grab him, while blasting with fire.
I fly faster and faster as he tries to get out of my grip and then once we flew out of the purple forest, I go a little farther and then drop him on the ground after dodging some earth that was bended from him and then he turned to me. Blinking fast and rubbing his eyes he sees me and then stands up.
"What… what happened?" he says.
"Toxic gas from the forest. You saw someone else different too, didn't you?" I ask and he nor his head and then I felt water on my feet and then I turn around to see a big wave of water washing everyone out and they splash out on the dirt ground.
Me and Axel do too and I fall on the ground from the blast and then Amy walks right passed me.
"Sorry! Forgot you were there!" Amy yells and I watch her walk off.
"I didn't know it was you!" Amy started to check everyone and I sigh as Knuckles walks over to me and offers me a hand.
"We should be more careful." He says and I take it and stand up.
"Yeah…" I say and I watch Amelia look around the world and then I do too.
The sky was a dark blue now and most of the world was in purples and neon greens. Even the flowers we saw seemed to have life too them because they were all pointed in our direction. There were also thick brown trees with no leaves that covering more of the sky but as we walked passed it, we noticed that we were on a huge mountain.
I stare ahead at the mountain and then I see green wavy clouds in sky with light blue beam hitting the ground. Dark clouds moved around it and seemed to have so much energy going through the beam.
There were also more hills and mountains before we could see were the beam even touched on the ground and also more of the world than we knew.
"Where could the air benders even be?" Blaze says and we all stare ahead.
"Not sure." Amy says and then she turns back to us. "But I think that beam of light is where everyone could be. We should search that way for clues."
"Okay, let's get down first." Axel walked closer and exhaled.
He slams his foot once and instantly made stairs for us to walk down the cliff easily.
We walk down it and I looked at the princess who was standing nowhere near me and I felt bad because I hurt her and I didn't know.
"Ugh… Amy I wasn't even trying to hurt you." I thought and then Amy stopped and looked at me.
"What?" she says and everyone pauses and looks at me and her. "Did you say something?"
"N-no…" I stutter and she rolls her eyes.
"You obviously said my name."
"Huh? I don't think he did." Rouge mentions and Amy pauses again.
"He did!" Amy says and then the ground rumbles and our conversation stops.
We all stood silently and then started to walk again.
"That was weird… I didn't even speak to her- "
Amy paused and frowned at me again and everyone stopped too.
"Guys, this isn't funny. I can hear him whispering about me."
They look at me and I blush.
"I'm not talking. "I say and they look at Amy like she was losing her mind.
"You just apologized!"
"Huh? I didn't."
"You did so!"
"You two quiet for a second!" Axel says and he was trying to focus on the world around us and Amy rolls her eyes and starts walking faster and I sigh and move past them.
"Amelia… what's going on with you. "I start and continued to walk as we got closer to the ground and we finally touch it and start walking past pillar and huge trees.
"Nothing. Since you want them to think I am crazy then nothing going on." She whispers quietly and we move past trees and blocks of wall.
"Just slow down- "
"Stupid idiot! Can't even remember where we had our first kiss! It's going to be impossible to be with him after this." I heard Amy say but her mouth didn't move at all and then I saw a glimmer of light float from her back into my chest.
"Amy- "
She stopped fast and looked like she was about to hit me but I thought quickly.
"Can you hear my thoughts?" I say and her eyes float as she looks at me shockingly. "You can… do you see this stream of light?"
I move my hand through it and she looks at it and then moves her hand through it too.
"I can see it…" she says and then blushed. "Did you hear what I thought b-before?!"
"Y-yeah… I don't remember our first kiss? I do remember it was in the forest."
Amelia blushed and then stormed off fast and I jog through the walls with her.
"Guys slow down!" Rouge yelled and Amelia stopped running and I did too since I caught up and then the beam came back.
"Seems like if I am close enough to you… we can talk telepathically."
Amy stopped thinking and was facing forward.
"So… if I was wrong… then where did we kiss first."
Her face burned red and she folded her arms.
"Seems like it doesn't matter because you can't remember." Amy says and I laugh to myself.
"I didn't know you cared about such things like that. We don't really keep tract of the times we kissed in the fire kingdom."
"But- That was a special moment!" she yelled and I laughed again.
"I think our favorite special moment was when we napped together in my bedroom. I think about that a lot and I also hope that once we make it out of this… the we can have more moments like that."
She looked at me and I smiled at her as she slowly looked back forward while we walked.
"That was pretty nice." She agreed.
"It was and also hearing your voice in my is nice too. Don't know how we are doing this but not the weirdest thing to happen lately, right?"
"Haha… yeah- "
"Move behind the rocks!" Axel yells and I felt a wave of heat and then I grabbed Amelia and took cover and I looked watched everyone move out of the way too.
Flames of fire dashed through but it wasn't just fire.
It was a cloudy like spirt and rage through the parts not being protected by the huge rocks The flames spread on the grass and Amy jumped on my body and I caught her and let the flames move around my feet which weren't that hot and she wrapped her arm around my head.
Her face was closer to mine and I look at her panicked face as the fire runs through and she almost lost her grip until I pulled her closer and her eyes met mine.
Seeing the fire and her bright blue eyes look into mine made me blush and my neck started to get hot and she let go but I caught her.
"Sorry! You just look very pretty!" I blurt out in my head and she still looked at me and then kissed me.
She pulled my face closer and I kept my eyes open as her was closed and I kiss her back.
This is what I fought for… I fought for her just to kiss me randomly again. Like she is now.
