Sonic
"You really think putting that pink hair in a ponytail is going to get me to hit the ground. You are starting to overestimate your teacher… I warned you about that."
I watch the sweat drip from her face from her heat training in the warm spring sun and she was putting on her knee guards while stretching her arms.
"True fire benders don't wear protection either." I mock and I sit in a squatting position as I was only in shorts.
She wasn't talking to me because she was sure that she could beat me today.
I watched her jump up and down she cleared her throat and tightened the white straps around her wrists for support of her fire blasts she wasn't used to yet but since her physical stretch and chi strength were starting to spread apart. She was needing some support.
She blows out quick breaths of fire, warming herself up before taking the challenge to fight me again.
"Please don't fight too hard! Last time she had to get stitches." Cream yells out and then Amelia's eyes opened to mine, and they had nothing but vengeance in them. I couldn't help but to smirk at her fierce gaze and I start to circle around her.
"Let me know when you are ready." I say to her, and I place one hand in pocket because I was only going to need one… which is what I thought but I could feel her heat presence from here and I was far away from her.
She nods her head that she was ready, and she gets in the fighting stance she learned from Blaze, and I start to walk around her.
"Come on. Get angry." I talk to her through my mind, and she frowned.
She lifted her foot quickly and yelled loudly. A blue wave of fire shoot from her foot and the blast was 4x times as tall as me and I let get close to me before I split it in half. Hot heat waves tickle my body and slightly sting as it blows by and then once it stopped smoke steamed on the ground and I heard footsteps.
I catch a foot to that was close to my face and I smile at her serious face and then I let her foot go.
"That was very toasty." I say and then she started run land punches my way with her grunting and yelling as she through them.
I duck, shift, rotate, and block her combats hits to me and I couldn't help but to smile at her.
"She is so cute." I thought to myself as she was trying to burn me alive and then I took the time to put some effort into this.
I grabbed her foot and stepped on the one on the ground and I shot fire at her, but she twisted her body moved out the way and we start going back and forth with bombs of fire. I could hear the yelling of people cheering us on and then I could also hear Cream warning us about to not do too much.
But we wanted too.
I wanted Amelia to be the strongest she could be.
"Ha!" She punches my hand hard, and that blow reminded of Blaze and then I push her back and take a big breath.
Her eyes widen and she flipped back pushed herself in the air with her flames and dodges my blast and then I spin around and throw whip lashes of flames at her as she dodged them barely in the air.
She tumbles on the ground and shoots another blast of fire and I stop it with one blast, and she hits the ground and breathes quickly.
"That blast wasn't as hot. You need to remember to breathe if you are going to do all that flashy work." I say and then she punches through a rock, exploding it and the rocks spread around me.
"Okay- "
She then lights them all on fire and I am surrounded with blue flames, and I laugh at this idea she had.
"Smart and beautiful. It doesn't get any better than this." I say and I felt excited now too and I start putting more effort into this.
Amelia runs at me as I did too, and we were fighting a close combat and I make sure to dodge the hot blue flames around my feet which made it harder to get a blow on her.
"Gr!" she says and almost hits me in the face, and I flip back shoot fire at her with my foot, catching her off guard and then that's when I knew I won this.
She punches the ground with fire creating an explosion and they made me fall back because she known she had shown panic in a battle, and you never want to let your enemy know you are panicking.
I ball my hand up to my mouth and shoot sharp explosions back through some smoke and then she couldn't see, and I shoot another explosion that she had to dodge.
Incase myself in fire and I blend in with it and I retract the blast of fire with my foot. Making the area clear but all the powering was the back of my calf. I send my leg into her stomach, and she zooms across the practice grounds and slams through a rock and rolls on the ground.
"Game- "
Amelia starts to cough on the ground while holding her side and I clear the flames and run over to her as she tried to get on her feet.
"Shit! Was that too hard." I say and I roll her over and winces in pain and coughs loudly. "Damn, Amelia. I think I knocked the air from you. Sorry!"
"You idoits!" Cream ran over and people started to put the fires out and Amelia whined out in pain while holding her stomach.
"It was accident! I-I thought it wouldn't hurt that much- "
Cream slaps the shit out of me and now I was on the ground holding my face.
"Amy! Does it hurt?!" Cream asks and touches her torso and Amelia grunts.
"O-ouch." The sound pain in her voice made me stand up and Cream glares at me.
"I'm sorry! I got carried away!" I say and bend down to her and Amelia held her body.
"Help her up!" Cream says and I get on the other side of to lift Amelia to her feet and then the people watching started to clap for her for trying and me and Cream take her to her room and sits her on the bed, but she lays out on it while rubbing her stomach.
"Ugh!" she complains, and I blush.
"Sonic! This is all your fault." Cream yelled and healed Amelia and I sigh and sit on her window seal.
"I know… sorry. I didn't think it would… well I knew but- I thought- "
"Stop talking!" Cream was tired of hearing me and I was too, so I stayed quiet and let Cream heal her and then Amelia stopped complaining in pain and she was just lying there.
Time passes and Cream stands up and then she looks at me and I evert my gaze.
"I'm going to get her some water." Cream says and leaves and then I look at Amelia from afar and I approach her slowly.
"Are you okay?" I touch her leg and she start to laugh, and she leans up.
"No! You kicked me so hard!" Amelia says and I smile and take her ponytail out.
"I'm sorry. You got my blood pumping." I say while sitting on the bed with her. "That blast was beautiful."
"Whatever. You went right through it like it was nothing." She says and starts to unwrap her support on her arms, and I help her out with taking her knee braces off.
"It's a human reaction to move away from extremely hot flames. Your flames are even hotter than mine." I say and I rub her knees as I took the braces off and she moves from me to go wash them off.
"If only I could control it." Amelia sighs and I watch her from afar and then I walk over to her.
"You will soon." I say and run my hands through her hair to calm it down and she laughs and moves away from me again to lay them out to dry.
"You have made a lot of progress. Stop laughing like that." I watch her stand up and then walks over to me while folding her arms.
"I am just laughing because you believe in me so much and want me to do better and all this cute, corny shit." She says and rubs my face and I blush a bit.
"I do…" I pout and she laughs again and then turns around and sits on my bed.
"I have been training for about three months… it's going to be Summer soon… and the sun is going to out longer which might even increase my power even more than I can handle."
"And then we will work just as hard to maintain it." I say and pat her head while she looked at me. "It's fine. Normal fire bending stuff."
"I'm not that normal."
"That's true." I say and she laughs, and her smile makes me lean close to her face but then looks down to my body and rubs her finger on my arm, stopping me from getting closer.
"Dirty boy."
"You are dirty too. Look at my hands. That came from me rubbing your knees." I show her and giggles again and takes my hand and placing them behind her and then her warm hands touch my neck, and she brings me closer.
We kiss each other for one second and then she moves back and rubs over my face while smiling at my face.
"What?" I laugh out and she pulls me in for a hug.
"Nothing. Can I smile at you?" she says while rubbing my back and my heart was expanding from her comforting touch.
"I'd let you do anything to me." I say and that makes her laugh even louder and she pulls me on top of her and I lay on her chest as her laughs echo through her body. I close my eyes for a moment until she wraps her arms undermine.
"Come here." She says and I crawl over her body until my eyes met hers and she bends my head down to kiss around my face.
This type of affection is something I had never had before, and I think Amelia had noticed when she had done this to me the first time. The first time she kissed all around my face… I didn't even know how to react but as always, my body exploded with heat since it felt so nice, and I ended up breaking a window from how hot it was in her room.
But now all I could do was smile as I felt her kiss my cheek so many times and then she leaned back on the bed ran her hands through my hair and scratching my scalp.
She is so sweet to me, and I don't deserve this.
"You are so adorable." She cooks and brings me into a hug with biceps squeezing on my face.
I blush slightly as she kisses me on my face once more than she pecks my lips and I kiss her back and then we did one more, but I made it longer. I move up closer to her face and tilt my head a bit to bite on her lip and she laughs as she copies my actions.
She spreads her legs out and I move to her neck and kiss her softly and around her chin.
"Hehe… Sonic."
I move to her torso I kicked, and I kiss it many times and I even apologize to it, and she laughed again, and I went back to her lips, and we continued to make out.
Her slides to the pocket in my pants and she reaches for my shaft in my pants, and I move back from her lips to look in her eyes and I lick both my lips and go to her ear.
"Go ahead and touch it… I'll make your body feel better than Cream healing it." I say and she moans as I gently kiss her ear and she fondle in my pants.
"Ahem."
We jump up fast and heat explodes from both of us, and it slightly pushes Cream back and she winces as she drops the water and then our heat stops as she hits the ground.
"Sorry!" I say and I check on Cream held her arm in pain.
"I think you guys burned me." Cream says in pain and Amelia water bends the water and starts to heal her small burn.
"Cream, I am so sorry! Oh my gosh." Amelia was blushing just as much as I was, and Cream moved her arm away from the healing.
"You are making the water hot with all of this embarrassment!" Cream yelled and we lower it down.
Cream sweats from being in the heat and I help her up with Amelia.
"I don't think Cream is ever going to like me." I tell Amelia and she covers her mouth to hold in a laugh and then Cream glares at the both of us.
"Excuse me, Princess." Says one of her maids and Amelia walked by and approached her. "Elora is here and would like to speak with you."
"Okay. Tell her I will be right there. Could she meet in me in tearoom? And make some Chamomile tea for her because she is always stressed about something." Amelia says and she rushes to get changed and the maid leaves to take the order.
"She has been busy lately." Cream adds and I nod my head and put on a shirt.
"Yeah… apparently everyone is having problems with starting crops, so the food supply has been running low." I say from Amelia ranting to me about the small problems.
"Right… It hasn't rained in two months… very unusual. But maybe it's just a small change in the universe or something." Cream adds and then Amelia comes back out with her tiara and casual clothes.
"Cream, find Rouge for me and tell her to meet me for tea." Amelia rushes out and we follow her.
"Okay… what do you think Elora is going to talk about?"
"Probably the same issues. We are in the process to get it worked out with having people travel to see to get water… but now I think even Lera is asking for help as well. I don't think it's just us not getting water."
"… You think its worldwide?" Cream asked and I look outside as we walked by a huge window, and I see a single cloud, far off in the distance and it stood still.
"Maybe. I might need to contact Silver." Amelia says and I hurry back to them and us near the tearoom.
"I can contact Silver." I say and Amelia smiles at me while Cream walks off to get Rouge.
"Thanks, that would help a lot. Maybe bring Tails with you? Tails has been cooped up making so many machines… he might know what's going on with the weather too."
"I can do that, Princess." I bow and she laughs and then leans my head up and kisses me.
"I'll see you later." She winks at me and then walks in, and I saw Elora standing by the door and she glares at me.
"Elora."
"Prince."
"Haha, okay." Amelia gets the way of our tension, and she smiles at me. "Bye for now."
The door closes and then I turn to walk, and I see Rouge rushing by me with papers and letters in her hands.
"Hey, Rouge."
"Hey, can you open the door." Rouge adds and I let her in and then I close it back and start to walk out the castle.
My eyes wander to the light blue sky and there weren't any clouds. I couldn't remember the last time I saw one, but I did see the same dark cloud in the distance, and I tilt my head.
"Strange."
"Yooo!" Knuckles voice was behind me and as I turn, he wraps his arm around my face, and he smelled like strong vanilla.
"Why do you smell like that?" I ask and Knuckles had his dreads tied up off his neck.
"Rouge can't stay off me. And then she puts this body oil on me to keep me moisturized but I tell her it's just my fire bending musk, but she says I smell like coconut oil a lot and she doesn't like that… I don't know man." Knuckles complains and I laugh as he follows me.
"That sounds like something she would complain about."
"Yeah… but where are you going? Did the princess kick you out because you kicked her across the practice field? Dude, I was watching it from the inside, and I have to say… why would you kick your girlfriend?"
"We were training! She wants to me to go full out so I did, and you know me! It's like a switch flips on in my head when we I start fighting." I say but then I still felt bad. "She isn't mad about it though."
"I know she isn't. That's why you two click so well together." Knuckles pats my back and I smile.
"We do… I really, really like her." I smile at the thought of her, and Knuckles laughs.
"Someone is in love…" Knuckles teases and I was about to tease him back, but I froze at the thought of that.
"Love?... wait… do I?"
An explosion goes off in the woods and it seemed like that's exactly where Cream house was and I know that blast had to do with Tails.
"Oh shit!" Knuckles flies towards it and I do too.
We get closer and we passed Cream's cute house with flowers and bright colors all around and then we head straight to the back and through some trees into another wide-open area.
"Tails?!" I yell and Knuckles looked around too and then Knuckles pats my arm and I see him moving in the air with a flying contraption and it and it spins wildly in the air with part of it burning and then he jumps out of before it hit the ground and it tumbles and crashes to the ground loudly.
Tails tumbles on the ground after jumping out of it and Knuckles and I run up to him to make sure he was okay.
"Tails!" I yell and he leans up sees us.
"Guys? What are you doing here?"
"What do you mean? What was that?!" Knuckles points at the machine on fire and then Tails gasps and runs over and puts it out. We follow him and he pulled out a metal piece to protect it from melting and then he shows us.
"A flying… thing." Tails says and then he runs over and grabs a tarp and covers it and looks at the still noticeable damage to Cream's backyard.
"A flying thing?" I ask and I lift the tarp and covers it back.
"Yeah… Just like how we fly. C-Cream likes it when I take her on flights when its sunset and well… I tried to make it to where she could fly on her own and… it crashed." Tails says and me and Knuckles look at each other and then start laughing.
"What's so funny." Tails watched as shed tears and I shake my head.
"Nothing! Haha." I cover my mouth and Tails watches us try to catch our breath and then he rolls his eyes.
"At least I don't show affection to my girlfriend by kicking her." Tails joked and then Knuckles was the only one laughing even more and I blushed as Tails started to joke with Knuckles. "Who kicks their girlfriend in the stomach?!"
Knuckles was in the grass at this point, and I stood watched both of them laugh loudly and then I sigh and look at the sky for them to wait.
"Anyway… Amy wandered if you noticed how off the weather has been. The town folk have been worried about the crops because there hasn't been any rain."
"Rain?" Tails looked up at the sky and then walked further in the middle of the yard and looks around. "I… guess I haven't noticed about the rain. But if it doesn't, we can always gather water benders and get water from the ocean."
"That's true but… it not raining is still a problem for Lera too… and the fire kingdom since they have no help from no one at all." I watch Tails face change after saying that and he shrugged his arms.
"I'm still not so on board with helping a kingdom that harms people for being different." Tails reminded us and we both looked at him stare into the ground.
"How's the self-help classes been?" Knuckles changes the subject and gives me a knowing look.
"Great… I didn't know I was such an angry person. I hold everything inside but… lately being here has helped me heal from trauma and I want to move past it but… knowing the fire kingdom is still the same bothers me. They could come any minute and terrorize everyone- "
"That's not going to happen." I look at him and Tails sighs.
"How do you know that?" Tails asks picking up a bag of tools and walks past me and we follow him into a small workshop.
"I wouldn't let it happen. We wouldn't." I say and Tails starts to grab tools and place it in his bag.
"We? My therapist told me to stay far away from triggering people and places. I wouldn't know how I would act the way you would want if I saw the fire kingdom trying to explode the village… or hurt Cream or one of you." Tails vents and I tap my arm anxiously.
"We agreed on not fighting them."
"Who agreed? You and your girlfriend- "
"We all agreed Tails."
"'We'… remind me who 'We' is again."
Anger started to boil in me until Knuckles walked up.
"Uh… well how about we contact Silver!" Knuckles changes the conversation again before me and Tails possibly argued.
"It has to be dark to do that." Tails says and he grabs a telescope and holds it out to me. "I saw you looking at something in the sky. What is it?" Tails walks out and we follow him again and we start to walk down a dusty trail that led to some tall trees.
"I'm looking for clouds or some hint of rain. It doesn't even feel humid for that to happen." I look at the telescope and then Tails flies into a tall tree and we follow him and soon we saw he had built a small tree house in it.
"Look for one." He says and takes the telescope out and puts it on a stand.
I look around the tree house and first and then me and Knuckles give each other a look and Tails walks over to a work desk and starts to write down notes.
"When did you make this?" Knuckles touches wood and then a leaf that was reaching into the treehouse.
"Maybe about three weeks ago. I test the air and wind to see when it would be a great day to fly and today was not a great one." Tails writes down and I walk to the window and the setting sun shines on my face as I look through the telescope.
I look around a bit and I look over a small neighborhood and then I move it to the sky, and I see the same cloud, but it looked darker. My eyes stare at it and then once I blinked, I saw it turn a light blue and I rub my eyes again and look back it.
"Did it change colors or is this because it's close to the sun and affecting my vision?"
It was still a small grey cloud that hadn't moved at all.
"I see one cloud." I turn to them, and Knuckles walks over to look in it too and I watch Tails write in his notes.
"Yup. One cloud. It should rain sooner or later." Knuckles reassures and we both wait for Tails to say something and then he lifts his head from the silence and looks through the telescope.
"Yeah, one cloud- "
Tails froze mid-sentence his eyes were widening as he looked afar and then back to the telescope.
"What?" Knuckles watched Tails nervous behavior.
"The cloud… its growing…" Tails says and then I look at the sky since the sun had faded away and he was right.
It was spreading apart slowly and my eyebrows furrow from the sight of it and then Tails stumbled back and pointed at the sky.
"That doesn't look right."
"What doesn't? It's a cloud that's expanding? Maybe that just means it about to rain." Knuckles looked through the telescope next, but this was nothing needed to look at a telescope with. You could see it slowly getting bigger, but it was taking its time to cover the sky.
"We have to get in contact with Lera- "
The sky rumbles loudly and we all stood at attention of the dark grey cloud and then a small breeze blew past us.
Tails ran over to the other side of the tree house and uncovered a huge light that used to be on the ground to send a SOS to Lera but now he placed it in his treehouse and shot it in the sky towards the direction of Lera and moved it around.
A cool breeze blew by again and then I listen to Tails hypervinalte, and he turned the brightness up louder and I walk over to him.
"Tails." I say and he didn't hear so I touched him, and he jumped, and he bumped into the light, and it fell out of the tree house. We watch it fall to the ground and break into pieces and then Tails started at the broken light in fear.
"Tails- "
"What?!" he yelled, and Knuckles and I were both taken back by him panicking.
"Hey…" I touch his arms and he was freaking out and I pull him away from the window. "It's going to be okay. I know. I saw the cloud too. You aren't the only one afraid and nothing going to happen to you. Okay?"
Tails nodded his head fast and I brought him into a hug that he took, and I gave Knuckles a knowing look and I hold onto his wrist. "Let's go to the castle."
We all rushed to the castle by flying and Knuckles carried Tails on his back since he was having a mini panic attack and I noticed that other villagers and were heading exactly where we were going too. The town people looked feared, and we all flew and charged towards the castle. They had some guards to hold off the hoard of people who were already there, so we took a secret entrance and flew to Amelia's balcony, and we entered from there.
I open the door to the hallway and almost bump into a maid who was holding Amelia's crown. The maid looks around at all of us and then she points down the hall.
We run down the hall, and we approach the kings command room and I press my ear on it.
"We have to go talk to them!" I heard Amelia yell and then the door opens, and I see her.
"Did you see that." She asks me and I nod my head. "What else did you see."
"The cloud… it was spinning in a vortex motion." Tails started to talk. "The temperature changed while it was spreading over the sky and even now… its starting to get bigger by the second."
Cream was also inside, and she ran over to Tails to get him calm on a bench and then Rouge walked up to us too.
"Amy… we have to contact Lera." Rouge says and then the king opens the door and our plans become a halt.
"No one is leaving!" he says and Amelia frowns.
"Dad, this is serious. There is no telling what is going on and you don't want us to check on Lera?" Amelia starts to yell in the hallway.
Ever since our big journey Amelia and the King have not been on the good terms. These arguments occurred a lot and the King was starting to have meetings without her.
"We have to take care of each other first!" The king yelled.
"That's what I am trying to do but you will not let me! And also, Lera is a part of us too- "
"Amelia, these are the king's orders! The King and you are showing full disrespect for raising your voice at me and your loyal guests and if you don't want to listen then you become further from being Queen than you think!"
Amelia could say a word the sky thunders loudly again and this time it shook the castle and then afterwards the castle quieted.
"Fine." Amelia turned her shoulders and she walked past all of us.
The king watched her walk away and then he too walked back in the command office with the council and slammed the doors closed.
"Check on her. I think she is about to leave the kingdom. I'll pack a bag for all of us to get ready to leave." Rouge taps on Knuckles and follows Rouge to help while Cream escorted Tails with them and I ran upstairs.
I knock on her and I heard droppings of furniture and items being tossed and I once I opened the door I looked and saw her changing clothes and packing a few clothes for the trip and I close the quietly.
"Amelia." I say and she was still throwing her things and packing a bag and I smile slightly as she wasn't stopping anytime soon.
She puts on a black jacket that was longer in the back and a black combat outfit with black wraps around her feet and arms to support her fire ability and she added a small blade to her thigh and then she tied her hair in a tight ponytail.
She grabs her bag and walks towards me, and I stop her from walking anymore.
"Amelia."
"I'm not going to be Queen with the way I want to help the world then I am not going to be. Let's go." Amelia walks past me, but I grab her arm and lock the door.
"Nah. Nah. Hold on." I say and she puffs through her nose. "You want to be Queen. And being Queen is not going to be easy with the goals you have set for the world."
Her eyes were fiery, and I grabbed her face with both of my hands, and she looked into my eyes.
"Hey, relax. What your father said is the least important issue. Your people are out front wanting answers and we have to check on Lera. Throw what your dad said out the window."
My words seem to calm her down and she exhales and loosens her grip on her bag.
"Wait for all of us to walk out. I have to get changed too and we have to make sure Tails is alright." I say and she nods her head again and then we walk out of her room quickly and then Rouge met us in the foyer with some guards and workers watching us change clothes.
"Everyone. I advise you to go to your loved ones and homes. We are not sure of the situation, but your protection is the first priority." Amelia says and I change clothes while putting on my fire comeback uniform too.
"But Princess… where are you going." Asked Coe, the new royal guard captain.
"Lera. We have to make sure they are alright." Coe grabbed Amelia's hand and she shook her head.
"Why… isn't it safe for you here? You are leaving us again and- "
"It's fine, Coe." Amelia hugs her and Coe looked so worried because her job was to protect the royals and Amelia was leaving once again.
"Let me come with you." Coe says strongly.
"I admire your bravery but… I will return within one or two days. Keep the town in check and watch over my father. I will be fine."
Coe stood still and then she let go of Amelia's hand bowed and everyone else did too.
"We… we await your return, Princess." Coe says and Amelia bows back and then looks at us and then our eyes hit Tails who was standing in the back. Tails was suited up too and he held a bag of stuff and looked like he wanted to vomit, and Amelia walked over to him.
"You decided to join us?"
"W-Well… if this might be dangerous then I would rather be on the frontline then here. Wouldn't help my nerves at all." Tails laughed nervously and Cream held his hand.
"And he wants to make sure I am okay too." Cream says And Amelia grins.
"It's just a journey to Lera. We will return." Amelia says and then we walk out the kingdom and the outside was in a huge uproar.
"Let's go."
