I wanted to talk about something I had a lot of time to process for a while. The lineup for the current guardians that you all have seen before still works. Ruby, Junko, Linhardt, Bucky, Blaze, Yamcha… they're definitely still working out. However two of the other guardians that I wanted to introduce in this upcoming chapter have made it difficult. If I include both of them, then there will be barely any fighting Monokumas. This group needs firepower badly, so I need to find new guardians to replace one or both of them. They are…
Minori Kushieda from Toradora! and Chiaki Ōgaki from Yuru/Laid-Back Camp. I like these girls personality-wise, but I really shouldn't have tried to bring normal civilians into this chaos. They can't fight, although Minori is a sporty gal, but I can't see her punching a hole through robot bears like Bucky or Yamcha can. Chiaki would probably just be there for some comic relief, but I think other characters can fill this role.
I'm sorry to anyone who clicked on the Toradora! Or Yuru/Laid-Back Camp tags on AO3 and was hoping to see either of them here, but I just can't write them in a story like this. (For anyone reading on other sites, that's no problem but whatever). I'm not going to ask for suggestions for who to replace them on your part, but instead I want to know if I should keep one of them, or remove both.
I've created a strawpoll and I would like to see you vote on it. Or just leave a comment or review if you prefer that. Once again, no requests on characters to replace them, just let me know if I should keep one of them or neither. I'll handle the search for new guardians in the media I love, preferably two other female characters. In the meantime….
Fictional Nexus is getting a bonus chapter! Yeah, for some reason I wanted to write more Ai and I missed her. It's thanks to someone writing a chapter on her waking up before any of the other girls in her series. Thanks to that author, if you're reading this!
