Hello, everyone, and today, you'll see the first chapter of my own Season. A Season 2.5, if you will. It's called...
The Eldritch Arc.
This season will be a little different. It's darker, no Akumas, and no Miraculouses, as Ladybug, Cat Noir, and the other Miraculous wielders, both good and bad, will be out of action, as Dragnarok will only have Bandicoot to help him on this one.
Also, no journal entries.
Anyway, let's begin.
Season 2.5 Opening( I Will Not Bow by Breaking Benjamin)(I do not own the song)
(We first see Paris, ravaged and in flames.)
Fall
Now the dark begins to rise
Save your breath, it's far from over
Leave the lost and dead behind
Now's your chance to run for cover
(On a nearby building, Drake, with Spyro and Cynder on his shoulders, looks at the destruction with a clenched fist.)
I don't want to change the world
I just want to leave it colder
Light the fuse and burn it up
Take the path that leads to nowhere
(Drake then jumps off the building. While falling, Spyro and Cynder were absorbed into his wristbands, turning Drake into Dragnarok.)
All is lost again
But I'm not giving in
(Dragnarok then flies along the ruined street. Looking to his right, he spots Bandicoot running along side him. The two exchange a nod.)
I will not bow
I will not break
I will shut the world away
I will not fall
I will not fade
I will take your breath away...
(As the duo head to a destroyed Eiffel Tower, there is a flash.)
Fall
Watch the end through dying eyes
Now the dark is taking over
Show me where forever dies
Take the fall and run to Heaven
(The scene changes to a dimly-lit area, showing a shadowy silhouette that appears to be wearing a cloak.)
All is lost again
But I'm not giving in...
(The silhouette spreads it's arms out, revealing long claws and a bident looking staff in it's right hand.)
I will not bow
I will not break
I will shut the world away
I will not fall
I will not fade
I will take your breath away...
(The camera zooms into the purple gem at the center of the staff, showing Ladybug, Cat Noir, Rena Rouge, Carapace, Queen Bee, Hawk Moth, Mayura, Damselfly, Echidna, Swallow, Siorc, and Grizzly trapped inside.)
And I'll survive
Paranoid
I have lost the will to change
And I am not proud
Cold-blooded fake
I will shut the world away...
(The camera zooms out, showing eight more silhouettes bowing to the first one.)
Open your eyes
(Back with Dragnarok and Bandicoot, the two stop and look out to a pair of demonic orange eyes glaring down at them.)
I will not bow
I will not break
I will shut the world away
I will not fall
I will not fade
I will take your breath away...
And I'll survive
Paranoid
I have lost the will to change
And I am not proud

(Another flash appears, showing the billboard with "Draconic Miraculous" on it, with "The Eldritch Arc" scratched onto the bottom.)
It's been a few days since Drake returned to his home world with Spyro, Cynder, Chris, Crash, and Aku Aku.
Luckily, nothing major happened, other than Xavier Ramier being akumatized into Mr Pigeon for the 16th time, but by now, he's nothing more than a pest.
The Draconic and Bandicoot group were currently hanging out in Drake's room.
Drake was trying to form a glob of poison in his hands with Ignitus instructing him while everyone else watched.
As the glob began to form, purple energy started to spark from Drake's hands, causing him to lose concentration, making the glob disperse.
"Agh! That's the fifth time!" Drake shouted in frustration. Before anyone could say anything else, a dark laugh filled to room.
"Can you feel it? The element of Aether!" Malefor said as he formed next to Drake. "It's begging to be let out!"
"Like I'll use it so you can take over." Drake said as he glared at the Dark Master.
"Who said anything about me taking over?" Malefor asked with a coy smile. "I'm just suggesting that you unlock this power to protect those close to you. Like... that Kagami girl?"
"DON'T YOU DARE TALK ABOUT HER!" Drake shouted as Aether flared from his body. It started to spread around room, freaking everyone else out.
"Drake, you need to calm down." Spyro said. "He's just trying to mess with your head."
Drake tried to calm down, but Malefor wasn't giving him the chance.
"And what about your friends and family?" Malefor asked. "You could've prevented them from being akumatized... But you didn't."
Drake was now raving mad. Aether began to burst from his body and flow into the city from his window.
The citizens began to panic as the Aether streams started to spread across Paris.
Back at Drake's room, Ignitus and Aku Aku blast Malefor, forcing the Dark Master to retreat back into Drake's body.
"You can stop Drake, he's gone now!" Cynder shouted.
Taking deep breathes, Drake began to come down as the Aether streams begin to dispel.
"I... think I need to go out for a bit." Drake said before taking a stance. "Transform Me!" Once Spyro and Cynder were absorbed into his wristbands, Drake let's out a roar as he turns into Dragnarok. "Unleash the Dragon!" Dragnarok opened his window and takes off.
"You best keep an eye on him." Ignitus said before dispelling the hologram.
Chris pushes the button on his belt, absorbing Crash into it and turning into Bandicoot. He and Aku Aku then went after Dragnarok.
Meanwhile, one of the Aether streams didn't dispel. Instead, it followed a source that was calling to it.
It was currently in the Catacombs of Paris, slithering through the air before coming across a small crack in a wall. Going through it, the stream flew through a secret passage before coming across a large door with various symbols and markings on it.
The stream of Aether flows down and into the door, causing the gears within to start spinning as well as having the symbols and markings on the door light up a eerie purple.
Soon, the door opens, showing a black void of a tome. And within the void, a pair of hellish orange eyes flash open.
"Finally... After 5000 years... I'm free..." A demonic voice hissed within the darkness. Stepping out of the tomb was a 8'0" figure wearing a grey cloak with the symbol of Aether on the left side of the chest area. Other than the eyes, the only thing seen out of the cloak were the figure's grey, scaly hands that had 12 inch long claws. "Now then, let's see what's going on in the outside world."
Back with Dragnarok, he flew over the city before landing on a rooftop.
"Malefor... Damn you..." The draconic hero muttered as he heard the Dark Master laugh in his head.
That's when Bandicoot and Aku Aku caught up with him.
"Dragnarok, I know you're going through a lot, but remember, you're not alone." Aku Aku said.
Well, Bandicoot said it, Aku Aku just translated, but it got the point across.
"Thanks..." Dragnarok said, feeling a bit better.
That's when Ladybug, Cat Noir, Rena Rouge, Carapace, Queen Bee, Echidna, Swallow, Siorc, and Grizzly showed up.
"Dragnarok... We need to talk." Ladybug said in a stern tone.
Back in the tomb, the figure was watching the heroes through a giant dark crystal like a magic mirror.
"So these are the current generation of Miraculous wielders?" The figure asked with disgust. "Pathetic..." The figure then looks at Dragnarok. "But him... So much untapped potential."
The figure then has the crystal view Hawk Moth's lair.
At said lair, Hawk Moth was trying to find someone to akumatized from the chaos, but the lingering Aether was stopping his powers. With him were Mayura and Damselfly.
"You think there be all sorts of emotion from the chaos." Hawk Moth muttered bitterly.
"I think this has something to do with Dragnarok." Damselfly said. "I think we need to eliminate him in order to succeed."
"And why would we do that?" Hawk Moth asked, surprising his partners. "We have a lot of use for him."
"Sir, with all due respect, Dragnarok has that monster that killed the Ladybug 5000 years ago within him." Mayura said. "Our Miraculouses are useless against him."
"If I can't akumatize him, I'll just rely on good old manipulation." Hawk Moth said, causing Mayura and Damselfly to look at each other in concern.
Back with our heroes, Dragnarok was being questioned by the others.
"Were you reasonable for what just happened earlier?" Ladybug asked with a slight glare.
"Yes, but don't worry, Malefor was just pushing my buttons." Dragnarok said.
However, this did not ease the others.
"If this is the result of "Pushing your Buttons", then what would happen if you completely snap?!" Ladybug shouted.
"What's your problem?" Dragnarok asked, getting irritated.
"You're becoming... Irritable, as of late." Cat Noir said, trying to keep things calm.
"You're basically becoming a walking nuke of dark magic." Swallow said bluntly, only to get elbowed by Echidna.
"Hey, I didn't ask Malefor to inhabit my soul!" Dragnarok shouted as Aether began to form around him.
Back with the mysterious figure, he was watching the heroes argue. Notably, he was watching Dragnarok for the majority of the time.
"So much potential indeed..." The figure said before grabbing a bident looking staff that had a dark purple gem in the center. "The players and stage are set. Now... Let the games begin!"
The staff began to glow.
From the rooftops, Dragnarok, Bandicoot, Aku Aku, and the other disappears in a flash of dark purple light, while the same thing happened to Hawk Moth, Mayura, and Damselfly.
In a flash, everyone appeared in front of the Le Grand Paris. Regaining their composure, they all took a stance.
"Hawk Moth!" Ladybug shouted as she gripped her yo-yo. "What are you up to this time?!"
Before Hawk Moth could say anything, the ground shook for a bit before giant walls of dark crystals erupted from the earth around the heroes and villains and trapped them inside with a few unlucky civilians who came out of the hotel to see what was going on, some of which included the Mayor, his wife, Nadja, and her camera crew.
Then erupting out of the ground was a creature. A creature that no one but Dragnarok, Spyro, Cynder, and Malefor recognized.
It was a Grublin. More specifically, a Hero Orc Grublin.
"What is that?!" Rena Rouge shouted as the Grublin began to approach them.
"A Grublin..." Dragnarok muttered, loud enough for everyone to hear.
Before anyone could say anything, the Hero Orc Grublin swung it's spiked club at them.
Dragnarok, Bandicoot, Aku Aku, Ladybug, Cat Noir, Hawk Moth, and Damselfly managed to dodge while everyone else were sent flying into the crystal wall.
"Cataclysm!" Cat Noir shouted as used his power on the Grublin's shield, only for nothing to happen.
As Cat Noir stared in shock, the Hero Orc Grublin raised it's club into the air, ready to reduce the feline hero into a red paste. Luckily, Ladybug was quick on the draw, as she wrapped her yo-yo around the feline hero's waist and pull him away just as the club came down.
"How come my power didn't work?" Cat Noir asked as he got back onto his feet.
"Because it's made from Dragon magic." Dragnarok said, having everyone look at him. "Malefor created the Grublins from the earth using an unknown spell, so their immune to the Miraculous' magic, like me." Dragnarok then took a stance. "Let me handle this."
"We'll help." Aku Aku said with Bandicoot nodding rapidly.
And with that, the two heroes charged at the Grublin.
Dragnarok firing a bolt of electricity, stunning the Hero Orc Grublin in place while Bandicoot span into it, disarming the Grublin of it's club and shield. Dragnarok then perform a Comet Dash, crashing into the monster, forcing it onto it's back, where it disintegrated.
"And that's how it's done!" Dragnarok said while crossing his arms.
Back with the figure, he watched with interest.
"Impressive..." The figure said before raising his staff again. "I think it's time that I introduce myself."
And with a flash from his staff, he was gone.
Back with Dragnarok and everyone else, the crystal walls sink back into the earth, only for thousands upon thousands of Grublins to erupt from the ground. Not only that, they were joined by Shadow Apes, who appeared to be wearing armor. The monsters began to run amok in the city, spreading chaos and panic throughout Paris.
"More Grublins?! And Shadow Apes?!" Dragnarok shouted as he and the other were surrounded by the creatures.
"Where did they come from?!" Aku Aku asked.
"They came from me." A voice spoke up.
In a flash, the cloaked figure appeared.
"So you're the one responsible for all this!" Ladybug shouted.
The figure just stared at Ladybug for a few seconds before he began cackling.
"Hahahahahaha! You are just like her!" The figure said as he began to calm down.
"Her?" Ladybug asked in a confused tone.
"Who are you?!" Dragnarok demanded.
"You may call me Eldritch." The figure, Eldritch, said, before turning to Ladybug. "And the her I'm talking about is the Ladybug 5000 years ago."
"The Ladybug 5000 years ago?" Hawk Moth asked. "What are you talking about?"
"You see, I am immortal." Eldritch said before facing Dragnarok. "And you and I are alike, Dragnarok."
"What do you mean?" Dragnarok demanded, not being considered "alike" with this guy.
Eldritch simply lowered his hood, show not a human head, but a dragon head.
The dragon head had grey scales and three big horns coming out the top of his head with a few small horns around them, all dark grey in color. Three smaller horns came out the bottom of the chin, simulating a beard. On the forehead was dark grey upside-down triangle. The mouth was full of razor sharp teeth, and the edges of the mouth were curved upwards, permanently giving the look of a devilish grin.
Everyone looked at Eldritch in horror.
"Can you sense it now? Our kinship!" Eldritch exclaimed. "You and I are truly brothers, as we're both half-dragons!"
"How... How did you get like this?!" Dragnarok shouted, as he couldn't believe what he was seeing.
"You see, 5000 years ago, I was the one who brought Malefor to this world!" Eldritch shouted, shocking everyone. "As a reward for showing him another world for him to conquer, he granted me power, power beyond the likes of the Miraculouses!"
"So you were cause of that?!" Dragnarok shouted. "That it! You're going down!"
"I don't think so, whelp." Eldritch said before firing a bolt of dark magic from his staff at Dragnarok, knocking the draconic hero out cold. "You're 5000 years too young to face me." Eldritch then magically lifts Dragnarok into the air before launching him away, where he landed in the Seine river.
"Dragnarok!" Aku Aku, Team Draconic, Ladybug, Cat Noir, Rena Rouge, and Carapace shouted while Bandicoot, Queen Bee, Hawk Moth, Mayura, and Damselfly had concerned looks.
Eldritch then looks at the Miraculous wielders.
"And now the time of the Miraculous has come to an end!" He shouted before raising his staff into the air. One by one, the Miraculous wielders were absorbed into Eldritch's staff, imprisoning them in the dark gem in the center.
Bandicoot and Aku Aku, however, managed to sneak away to find help.
Eldritch then looks at the civilians who watched the whole thing with horrified looks on their faces. He then notices Nadja and her camera crew were recording everything.
"Listen to me, citizens of Paris! Your heroes are now my prisoners!" Eldritch shouted before facing his army of Grublins and Shadow Apes. "Go! Show these humans that all hope is lost!"
And with that, the Grublins and Shadow Apes started to rampage across Paris, capturing anyone who was unfortunate to be in their sight and destroying everything else.
"First, the city, then the country, then the world!" Eldritch shouted before cackling. "A new world will soon be born!"
Back with Dragnarok, his unconscious body floated along the Seine, beaten and bruised.
Suddenly, a net caught one of his horns.
"Got him!" A voice said. "Let's take him back to the shop and hope he makes a quick recovery."
And that's the first episode of my Season 2.5!
I want to say that these "episodes" might take a bit longer due to them being material from my own head.
