Hello everyone, and today, Dragnarok and Bandicoot head to Strasbourg to fight against the second of Eldritch's generals, Fenrir Midnight!
Before we start, I want to address a few things.
Gramzon Dragon: We'll see. Also, don't get too excited. Rift Apart only did some minor influences. So don't be expecting a crossover story or something. The game did, however, inspired me to make a character (who will not be appearing in this story), who I hope to use one day. I wouldn't say much, but I will say his name. His name is Reamer.
Dyan-Man 21: Sorry, not a fan of Street Fighter either.
Anyway, let's begin!
Season 2.5 Opening( I Will Not Bow by Breaking Benjamin)(I do not own the song)
At Fu's massage shop, everyone was looking at the map Dragnarok got from Freezebite Wendigo.
"So these are where four of those generals are." Fu said as he looks the map over. " But the question is, why these cities in particular?"
"Maybe it has something to do with that giant crystal tower in Lille." Dragnarok said, getting looks from Fu, Ashley, and Aku Aku.
"Tower? What tower?" Ashley asked.
"You see, Freezebite Wendigo was forcing people to mine pieces of the crystal wall Eldritch made around France before "feeding" them to this giant tower made of dark crystals with more crystal jetting out of it like branches." Dragnarok said. "We tried to destroy it before coming here, but no matter what we did, we couldn't make a dent."
"I see..." Ashley said before peeking at the map. "In fact, the cities the generals are in are near the border of France."
"So it's a safe bet they're in these cities because they're the closest to the wall." Aku Aku said before getting a puzzled look. "But why just these five? Aren't there other cities near France's borders? Like Quimper, Cherbourg, and La Rochelle?"
"I don't know, but we're not going to get answers by just standing here!" Dragnarok said before marching towards the shop's entrance with Bandicoot.
"Where are you going?" Fu asked.
"We're heading to Strasbourg to find the next general and get some answers out of them." Dragnarok said.
"If only it were that easy..." Ashley muttered before looking at the two heroes. "Good luck, we might all need it."
And with that, Dragnarok and Bandicoot took off.
Meanwhile, in Eldritch's lair, Eldritch was watching the duo through his giant crystal.
"So they're heading to Strasbourg..." He muttered before switching the view of his crystal to Strasbourg. "Fenrir Midnight!"
"Yes, Lord Eldritch?" Fenrir Midnight, the general in Strasbourg, asked.
"Dragnarok and his orange friend are heading to your location." Eldritch said. "You know what to do."
"Roger." Fenrir Midnight said.
After sneaking aboard Steam 2 again, Dragnarok and Bandicoot were taken to Strasbourg.
But when they got there, they instantly noticed that something was wrong.
It was quiet. Too quiet. The streets were empty and not a single soul was in sight. No citizens, no Grublins, nor Shadow Apes. Absolutely nothing.
In the distance, there was a giant crystal tower, just like in Lille.
"I've got a bad feeling about this..." Dragnarok muttered with Bandicoot nodding in agreement.
Getting off the train, the two heroes ran across the rooftops, trying to find any citizens, only to come up empty handed.
"This place has been turned into a ghost town... Where is everyone?" Dragnarok asked as he looked around for before noticing the tower. "Let's head there. Maybe we'll find someone."
And with that, Dragnarok and Bandicoot head to the tower, unaware that they were being stalked.
"Target acquired..."
Back with Eldritch, the draconic warlock peers into staff to greet his prisoners.
"Wakey-wakey." He said in a taunting tone, getting the Miraculous wielders' attention.
"What do you want Eldritch?!" Siorc demanded.
"Just wanted to let you all know that Dragnarok is doing just fine, as he defeated one of my generals." Eldritch said.
"You see! Dragnarok will defeat the rest before coming here to beat your ass!" Grizzly said, getting agreement from the other wielders.
"Don't get too excited. Freezebite Wendigo was the weakest of my generals." Eldritch said. "The others will no doubt pose a bigger challenge."
"Maybe. But Dragnarok will triumph in the end!" Ladybug stated.
"You said it, M'lady!" Cat Noir shouted in agreement.
However, Eldritch took noticed of that.
"Cat Noir... Tell me, do you like Ladybug?" Eldritch asked the feline hero, catching them off guard.
"What?! What makes you ask that?" Cat Noir shouted in a nervous and shocked tone. "I mean, we are partners, in a crime fighting sense I mean! And-"
Cat Noir stopped talking when he noticed the other Miraculous wielders staring at him with deadpan looks.
"Well now... It seems that we have more in common then just being Plagg's handlers." Eldritch said in a amused tone.
"And what is that suppose to mean?" Cat Noir asked in a bitter tone.
"Like you, I was smitten with my Ladybug." Eldritch said before letting out a sigh. "She was a thing of beauty. A goddess walking the Earth."
The wielders gained uncomfortable looks as Eldritch rambles on.
"But despite all I did, she threw it back in my face!" Eldritch continued, his gaze and tone hardening. "I did everything for her! I even give her my secret identity!" That one shocked the wielders. "But in the end, I was stripped of everything! My Miraculous! My Home! My Pride! Everything!" Eldritch stops for a bit to glare at Ladybug before continuing. "But that doesn't matter now, as she is now below me!"
"What did you do to her?!" Queen Bee demanded.
"I'll leave that to your imagination." Eldritch said before cutting the connection. He then turns to his giant crystal. "Now then, let's see how they handle Fenrir Midnight."
Back with Dragnarok and Bandicoot, the two arrived that the base of the crystal tower to see if anyone was there, only to once again find nothing.
"Empty... Seriously, where is everyone?" Dragnarok asked as he and Bandicoot looks around. "You think there at least be some Grublins and Shadow Apes, but there's nothing."
Bandicoot simply shrugged in response.
"Guess we'll have to look elsewhere." Dragnarok said.
But before the duo can do anything...
"Greetings Dragnarok..." A voice spoke up, putting Dragnarok and Bandicoot on alert.
"Who's there?!" Dragnarok shouted as he and Bandicoot looked around at a rapid pace.
Before the draconic hero could react, a black blur crashed through the window of a nearby building and pounced on Dragnarok, pinning him down.
Dragnarok was then slashed across the chest a few times before he managed to kick whatever was on him off. Bandicoot helped the draconic hero up before turning to what they were up against.
Growling at them was a male humanoid figure with wolf-like features. He has grey skin, with the skin above his nose being a darker shade, making it look like he was wearing a mask. He has black hair, with a pair of wolf ears coming out of his head. On his left cheek were three red claw marks. The figure had a black fur shirt that looks like it was a actual coat of fur, with shirt cuffs make of dark grey fur. On the center was a grey crescent moon with three red claw marks behind it. He was also wearing blue jeans that had a special hole for the tail, which has black fur except for the tip, which was grey in color. His feet were grey, three-toed clawed feet. Finally, his eyes were completely red.
"Who the hell are you?!" Dragnarok demanded.
"I am Fenrir Midnight, one of Eldritch's eight generals." Fenrir Midnight greeted.
"Is that so? Then tell me, where is everyone else?" Dragnarok asked.
"Our operation here was completed long ago, so everyone left." Fenrir Midnight answered. "I stayed behind to look after the tower as well as wait for you."
"You waited for us? How touching..." Dragnarok said in a sarcastic tone.
"Now then, the time for talk is over. Let the battle commence!" Fenrir Midnight shouted before dropping onto all fours and letting out a loud howl.
"Armor Up!" Dragnarok shouted as he grabbed his pendant. "Armor Up!" Summoning the Dark Armor. The draconic hero then fires a sphere of Aether at Fenrir Midnight, who swiftly dodged and ran past Dragnarok, slashing him and leaving deep claw marks in the Dark Armor.
"Predictable..." Fenrir Midnight said before jumping into a nearby shadow.
Dragnarok and Bandicoot looked around, trying to find the wolf-like Homunculus.
That's when Fenrir Midnight jumps out of a shadow and latches onto Bandicoot.
Thinking fast, Bandicoot spins rapidly, throwing Fenrir Midnight off of him.
"Combination attack." The Homunculus said, encasing himself in shadow before charging at the duo in a drill-like fashion. When Dragnarok and Bandicoot dodged, Fenrir Midnight stopped on a dime and charged again, this time nailing Bandicoot.
"Woah!" The orange hero somehow shouted as he was sent flying.
"Bandicoot!" Dragnarok shouted before glaring at his opponent. "Oh, it is on!"
The draconic hero then performs a Shadow Strike while Fenrir Midnight performs his drill charge.
The two attacks collide, with both fighters trying to overpower each other.
Soon enough, Dragnarok managed to push Fenrir Midnight back.
"Impressive..." The Homunculus said before jumping to a nearby rooftop. "However, a savvy warrior uses every tool they have."
Fenrir Midnight then let's out a loud howl, summoning a swarm of Shadow Apes from the shadows.
"Well, that's just not fair..." Dragnarok muttered before unleashing a wave of Shadow Fire, suffocating the Shadow Apes before creating a wave of normal fire, burning them to a crisp.
The few Shadow Apes that Dragnarok didn't get tried to sneak up on him, only for Bandicoot to return and spin right into them.
"Thanks." The draconic hero said before facing Fenrir Midnight who, upon seeing his minions defeated, jumps down from the rooftops and re-enters the fight.
"Enough! Let's finish this!" The Homunculus shout in anger before firing a barrage of shadow balls at the duo, who just barely dodged.
Dragnarok, seeing that it was now or never, charged through the barrage before getting in front of Fenrir Midnight and firing a Aether Beam at point blank, sending the wolfish Homunculus flying.
Once Fenrir Midnight came crashing down, he laid on his back, twitching.
"Can't not... Continue..." He said as cracks begin to form on his body. He then notices Dragnarok and Bandicoot walking up to him. "Let me tell you something. Lord Eldritch never had a happy life, even at birth." Fenrir Midnight then took a deep breath before continuing, as more cracks began to form. "He was robbed from a mother's love at birth, as his died giving birth. He was left to drown in her blood, left to die as a waste of air."
"Then how is he alive today?" Dragnarok asked.
"A member of the Order of the Guardians found him and took him in, where he soon became the wielder of the Cat Miraculous." Fenrir Midnight said as his body was completely covered in cracks. "Defeat the others... They'll tell you more..."
And with that, Fenrir Midnight shatters into small shards of shadows, leaving behind a large fang.
Dragnarok said nothing as he pocketed the fang, a perturb look on his face.
"Let's head back to Fu's." The draconic hero finally said. "We need to sort things out."
And with that, they headed off.
Meanwhile, Eldritch saw the fight through his giant crystal.
"So they managed to defeat Fenrir Midnight..." He muttered to himself. "I'm slightly impressed. Still, my plan is already in motion, and there is nothing they can do to stop it!"
And with that, Eldritch let's out a evil laugh.
Two down, six more to go! That was Fenrir Midnight, and next time, Dragnarok and Bandicoot will head to Brest to face off against the third general.
And before I go, I want to address something. It seems the episodes of the actual Miraculous show were rearranged. So will I rearranged my chapters? The answer is no. Plus, I've seen other writers who make Miraculous stories go in their own order.
