Hello everyone, and today, Dragnarok is heading to Marseille to face off against the fifth general, Temporal Nagabind!
Before we start, I want to address something.
kyrogue23: Let's just say Bandicoot's Fury attack is called the Wumpa Screw.
Also, quick warning, this chapter is dark, more so then the other Season 2.5 chapters so far, almost borderline M rating (I think). You have been warned.
Anyway, let's begin!
Season 2.5 Opening( I Will Not Bow by Breaking Benjamin)(I do not own the song)
At Fu's Massage shop, Drake peeked out the window to see if there were any Grublins and/or Shadow Apes nearby.
"Okay, that coast is clear." He said before taking a stance. "Transform Me!" Once Spyro and Cynder were absorbed into his wristbands, Drake let's out a roar as he turns into Dragnarok. "Unleash the Dragon!"
The draconic hero then turns around to see Fu, Ashley, and Aku Aku.
"Heading to Marseille?" Ashley asked.
"It's the last place on the map that I haven't been to yet." Dragnarok said.
"Just be careful, I have a funny feeling things are going to get a lot harder." Aku Aku warned.
With a nod, Dragnarok takes off.
Beneath the Catacombs of Paris, Eldritch was pacing around his lair.
"Half of my generals defeated... Dragnarok is truly a worthy foe." Eldritch muttered before facing the giant crystal. "He must be heading to Marseille, where the last crystal tower is." He then switches the crystal's view. "Temporal Nagabind! Dragnarok is heading toward your location, deal with him."
"Don't worry, I'll give him a nice, warm welcome..." A voice hissed from the crystal.
Sneaking aboard Steam 2, Dragnarok was heading to Marseille.
As the train got closer to it's destination, Dragnarok took the time pondered.
"What is Eldritch's masterplan? His end goal?" The draconic hero muttered to himself. "What is the point of his actions? Why is he doing this? What could he possibly gain?"
Dragnarok then noticed Steam 2 pulling into the station. But before he could do anything, the station suddenly exploded, destroying Steam 2 and throwing Dragnarok into the air. The draconic hero then came crashing down onto the ground.
As Dragnarok felt his strength leaving him, he could just barely hear something approaching him.
"It looks like the guest of honor has arrived." A voice hissed before Dragnarok lost consciousness.
Back at Eldritch's lair, the mastermind was looking through a book of sorts when he got a transmission on his giant crystal.
"Lord Eldritch! I bring good news!" Temporal Nagabind said through the crystal. "The tower is at maximum power, and I have captured Dragnarok!"
The crystal then shows a unconscious Dragnarok strapped to a metal table.
"Excellent! Not only are all five towers at full power, but Dragnarok is in my clutches!" Eldritch said before letting out a laugh. "Soon, this world will know my pain!"
"Ah, Lord Eldritch, if I may ask, can I use Dragnarok for some of my... Experiments?" Temporal Nagabind asked.
"Just be sure he stays alive." Eldritch said in a stern tone. "I have some... use for him."
"Of coarse, Lord Eldritch." Temporal Nagabind said before cutting the connection.
Waking up, Dragnarok found himself in a dark room that had a single lamp shining over him. Trying to get up, the draconic hero quickly found himself strapped to a metal table. Trying with all his might, Dragnarok couldn't break out, and when he tried to use his elemental powers, nothing happened.
"It's futile. Those cuffs are made from metal infused with dark gems." A voice hissed from the darkness.
"Who's there? Show yourself?!" Dragnarok shouted as he looked around.
"Well, aren't we eager? Let me indulge you." The voice said in a amused tone.
Slithering out of the darkness was a male humanoid figure who, instead of legs, had a giant snake tail for the lower half of his body that had vermillion scales and a orange underbelly. The upper half was wearing dark grey armor that head a clock in the center. He had four, scaly vermillion colored arms with three digit claws that had metal hand guards on them. The figure's head was covered in vermillion scales. Two sharp fangs were sticking out of his mouth. His eyes were snake-like and red in color. Finally, on his head was a dark grey samurai-like helmet with snake heads on each side.
"Who the hell are you?!" Dragnarok demanded.
"I am Temporal Nagabind, one of Lord Eldritch's generals, and as of now, your warden." Temporal Nagabind said as he slithers next to the captive hero.
"Then it's safe to say you're the one who set that trap." Dragnarok said as he narrowed his eyes at the scaly Homunculus.
"Indeed. Unlike my brethren, I take the problem out before it becomes a problem to begin with." Temporal Nagabind said as he took out a few tools and devices. "Nip it right in the bud, if you will."
"And what are those for?" Dragnarok asked in a fearful tone.
"Just a few things to help me get started." Temporal Nagabind said as he flicks the needle of a syringe before using that syringe to get blood from Dragnarok. "You see, I'm a bit of a scientist and I like to conduct experiments."
"The kind where you dissect me?!" Dragnarok shouted.
"As much as I like that, I was ordered to keep you alive." Temporal Nagabind said as he puts some kind of metal pad on the draconic hero's head. Wires ran from the pad to a computer-like device. "Instead, I'm going to test those psychic abilities of yours, Drake Firstbourne." Dragnarok's eyes widen at that. "Yes, I know who you are. We all know how you are. You see, the moment you became Dragnarok, Lord Eldritch been watching you like a hawk."
"Does he... know about my friends and teammates?" Dragnarok asked in a worried tone.
"Indeed he does. In fact, he also taken an interest in your friend Cat Noir." Temporal Nagabind said as pushes a few buttons on the computer-like device.
"Why?" Dragnarok asked.
"You are aware that Lord Eldritch once wore the Cat Miraculous, right?" Temporal Nagabind asked.
"Yes, Fenrir Midnight told me." Dragnarok said.
"Well, you see, when Lord Eldritch used the ring, he became Bastet's Shadow. And like Cat Noir, he was in love with his Ladybug. But despite everything he did, she just saw him as nothing more than a work partner." Temporal Nagabind said. "Lord Eldritch was frustrated by this and took it out on anyone who committed a crime, no matter how small or petty. This is one of the three reasons he was stripped of the Cat Miraculous."
"Why are you telling me this?" Dragnarok asked.
"My brethren and I were told by Lord Eldritch to tell you his story if you managed to beat us. Well, since you're in my clutches and your end will come soon enough, I figured I should tell you the portion I was given." Temporal Nagabind said before a dark smirk formed on his face. "Now then, time for a experiment!"
Temporal Nagabind then let's out a screech that caused Dragnarok to shiver in fear.
"W-What is this?" The draconic hero said in a scared tone.
"That is the Dragon Element of Fear, something you should know." The scaly Homunculus taunted. "You see, my brethren and I were remade using the Dragon Elements. Two elements for Miasma Mandragora and Stormer Gryphon. Poison and Earth for the former, Wind and Electricity for the latter. Freezebite Wendigo got Ice, Fenrir Midnight got Shadow, and I got Fear with a little something on then side."
"A little something on the side?" Dragnarok asked the effect of the scaly Homunculus' attack were wearing off.
"Don't worry about that. Now, let's begin." Temporal Nagabind said before activating the device, causing a sharp pain to jab it's way into Dragnarok's head.
"Aaarrrggg!" Dragnarok screamed as he thrashed about in absolute pain.
"Oh, if you think that's painful, then let me crank the power." Temporal Nagabind said with a sadistic grin before turning the power up, causing Dragnarok to scream even louder.
When the scaly Homunculus set the device to maximum power, a burst of psychic energy erupted from Dragnarok, blasting Temporal Nagabind away. When the Homunculus recovered, he saw that Dragnarok was gone.
"What?! He escaped?!" Temporal Nagabind shouted in anger. "He couldn't have gotten far... When I get my claws on him..."
And with that, Temporal Nagabind disappeared in a green flash.
Meanwhile, in the streets of Marseille, Dragnarok appeared in a dark purple flash, his eyes glowing a pale blue.
"What... happened?" He groaned as he held his head pain. "Did I... teleport?"
Regaining his senses, Dragnarok saw something that would forever haunt him.
Hanging from the buildings were cages, and in these cages... were the stuff of nightmares. I don't want to get into too much detail, but let's just say, there were some people who had limbs and organs in places that they shouldn't be in, while others had machinery attached to their bodies in painful ways.
"By the Ancestors..." Dragnarok said in absolute horror, hearing the poor people begging .
"I see you found my pervious experiments." A voice said behind Dragnarok. Turning around, the draconic hero saw that it was Temporal Nagabind. "A work of beauty, isn't it?"
"Beauty? BEAUTY?! You call this beauty?! This is absolutely inhumane!" Dragnarok shouted in absolute fury.
"Everyone has a different definition for beauty." Temporal Nagabind said with a shrug.
"Is that all you have say?!" Dragnarok shouted, angered by the Homunculus' indifference. He grabbed his pendant. "Armor Up!" Once his summoned his Dark Armor, he glared at the Homunculus. "Can you hear their cries of pain?!"
"Don't worry, they'll die once Lord Eldritch's plan is complete." Temporal Nagabind said before pulling out four Sais. "But enough of that. I figured you came here to fight me, so come at me!"
In anger, Dragnarok throws a fireball at Temporal Nagabind, who simply raises one of his hands, which was glowing blue. Suddenly, a blue energy bubble encases the fireball, making it move at a snail's pace. Temporal Nagabind slithered around the bubble with a smug grin. Once he was on the other side, the bubble dispels, letting the fireball sail harmlessly away.
"What the-?!" Dragnarok shouted in shock.
"There's a reason Temporal is part of my name." The Homunculus taunted. "Now I'll be there in just-" Temporal Nagabind then disappears in a green flash before reappearing behind Dragnarok. "-A moment!"
The Homunculus then stabs his Sais into Dragnarok's back, causing the draconic hero to scream in pain. Dragnarok then let out a electrical discharge, which traveled through the metal Sais and fried Temporal Nagabind.
"Argh!" The Homunculus shouted as was blasted back by the electrical attack, allowing the draconic hero to get some distance.
After pulling the Sais out of his back, Dragnarok decided to fight fire with fire and used Dragon Time to quickly run over to Temporal Nagabind and deliver a roundhouse kick to the Homunculus' face.
Recovering from the kick, Temporal Nagabind glared at Dragnarok for a second before gaining a copper yellow glow. The combatants then seem to rewind, stopping just before Dragnarok uses Dragon Time.
As the draconic hero started to unknowingly repeat the attack, Temporal Nagabind smirked as, with a red glow, he froze Dragnarok in red energy just as the repeated roundhouse was about to hit. The scaly Homunculus then smacks the draconic hero to the side.
Once the energy dispels and Dragnarok falls to the floor, Temporal Nagabind slithers over the draconic hero and wraps him up in his tail before beginning to squeeze the life out of him.
"I fail to see what Lord Eldritch finds useful about you." Temporal Nagabind said before screeching, making Dragnarok suffer from the Fear element. "I think I'll save him the trouble and just kill you. Then I'll rewind time and do it again, and again, and again!"
Grinding his teeth in pain, Dragnarok glared at Temporal Nagabind before performing the Earth Fury, blasting the scaly Homunculus away and freeing himself.
Temporal Nagabind tried to back up, only to find his strength sapped. He then looked up to see Dragnarok, covered in a green aura, walking up to him.
"So this is want Lord Eldritch sees in you... Impressive." Temporal Nagabind said in a raspy voice.
Dragnarok said nothing as he formed a Aether sword and stabbed the Homunculus in the throat, causing him to instantly scatter into small shards of fear and time, leaving behind a snake tail that was vermillion in color.
Dispelling the sword, Dragnarok remained quiet as he took the tail before heading back to Paris.
Meanwhile, Eldritch saw the battle through his giant crystal.
"You idiot! Out of all my generals, I expected you to succeed!" Eldritch roared in fury. He then uses the crystal to contact the three remaining generals. "Listen up! You three are the last ones standing. Dragnarok has defeated Freezebite Wendigo, Fenrir Midnight, Miasma Mandragora, Stormer Gryphon, and Temporal Naganbind! Failure is not an option!"
"He wouldn't be so lucky against me!" The first general said.
"Of course, Lord Eldritch." The second general said.
"I will rip him piece by piece!" The third general said.
"Do not fail me..." Eldritch hissed before cutting the connection. "Still, all five towers are at maximum power, so those cities are useless to me now. Dragnarok... You're failing to see the bigger picture here. But don't worry, everyone will see soon enough!"
And with that, Eldritch let's out an evil laugh.
And that's that! That was Temporal Nagabind, who I based off my older creation, Vermillion. He's also based off Orochimaru from Naruto, Karl Heisenberg from Resident Evil: Village, aka Resident Evil 8, and Scarecrow from the Batman Arkham games.
Anyway, I hoped you all enjoyed, and I'll see you all next time!
