Season 2.5 Opening( I Will Not Bow by Breaking Benjamin)(I do not own the song)

It took a couple of hours, but Dragnarok managed to fly back to Paris. He lands on the Eiffel Tower before falling onto his knees.

"I don't think I can go on..." He muttered as looked over the raided city.

-You can't give up! You can't let Eldritch win!- Spyro shouted.

~Your friends need you!~ Cynder shouted.

"I know... It's just... I just don't think I'm up for the task." Dragnarok said in a low tone.

-Look, Cynder and I had similar feeling when we were about to face Malefor, but we knew we had to stop him, even if that means we die trying.- Spyro said.

~And we succeeded.~ Cynder added.

"But then you guys were casted out from your home world..." Dragnarok said in a low tone.

~Maybe, but there was a silvering lining, we met you.~ Cynder said.

-Indeed, we've met a new friend in this world who is a amazing person.- Spyro added.

"Thanks guys." Dragnarok said, cheering up. "But where am I going to fine the remaining generals?"

-I have a feeling they'll come to you.- Spyro said in a uneasy tone.

Meanwhile, deep below the Catacombs of Paris, Eldritch was pacing around his lair, a look of annoyance on his face.

"Argh... The towers may be at maximum power, but I still need more time..." Eldritch muttered as he continued to pace around. "And I need to keep Dragnarok busy until that time comes, but how?"

As Eldritch continues to ponder, we going into his staff, where the Miraculous wielders were being held. They were able to hear Eldritch's muttering, not very clearly, but they were able to get a basic idea.

"Looks like the Warden has something big plan." Swallow said in a uneasy tone. "And it's safe to assume that it involves Dragnarok."

"Maybe, but we can't do anything about it, dude." Carapace said somber tone.

"The only we can do is pray." Echidna said in a soft tone.

Arriving at Fu's, Dragnarok enters the massage shop and heads to where Chris and Crash were resting.

"Hey, are you guys doing alright?" The draconic hero asked.

He got a weak thumbs up from Chris and a tired nod from Crash. That's when Ashley walks in.

"Oh, Drake! I see you've returned." She said before noticing something. "Your mind... It's in slight disarray... What happened?"

Dragnarok then explained his encounter with Temporal Nagabind and the Homunculus' experiment.

"And now I'm here." The draconic hero said, finishing his story.

"My poor grandson..." Ashley said as she hugged her grandchild. "This general must've put your psychic powers into some sort of trauma from the overload."

"Is there any way to fix it?" Dragnarok asked.

"There is, but it'll take some time." Ashley said. "And you shouldn't use your psychic abilities for a while, as that might make things worse."

Back with Eldritch, the mastermind was still pondering over his next step.

"Distractions... Distractions..." He muttered before noticing a nearby torch. He looks at the flame for a while before a idea pops in his head. "That's it!"

Eldritch then heads to his crystal and uses it to view Notre Dame. He then has the crystal view the inside, showing the citizens inside.

"Notre Dame looks a little cold... How about turning up the heat?" Eldritch asked in a sadistic tone before switching the crystal's view. "Phoenix Daybreaker, think you can a visit to Notre Dame?"

"Of course, Lord Eldritch." A voice with a slight Russian accent said through the crystal.

Back with Dragnarok, he was meditating with his grandmother.

"You're doing great, Drake. I can feel your mind recovering." Ashley said.

As Dragnarok continued to meditate, he was suddenly assaulted by images of fire and the sound of people screaming randomly appearing in his mind, causing the draconic hero to clench his head in pain.

"My head!" Dragnarok shouted as he shook his head.

"Drake!" Ashley shouted before placing her hand on the draconic hero's forehead. She then starts to see the images Dragnarok was seeing.

Sending a wave of energy through her arm, Ashley was able to clear her grandson's head.

"Thanks..." Dragnarok said as he rubs his head. "What was that about?"

"It seems you've gotten a psychic vision." Ashley said before placing her hand on her chin. "But why a vision of fire and screaming?"

That's when Fu and Aku Aku burst into the room, a look of panic on their faces.

"Dragnarok! Notre Dame is on fire!" Fu shouted, shocking the draconic hero and his grandmother!

"What?!" Dragnarok shouted.

"We saw smoke coming from Notre Dame's direction. Hurry! The citizens are in danger!" Aku Aku shouted.

Wasting no time, Dragnarok takes off for Notre Dame.

Arriving to his destination as fast as he could, Dragnarok saw Notre Dame ablaze.

Looking around, he saw a few people outside, standing a safe distance away from the fire.

"Is everyone alright?" The draconic hero asked.

"There still some people in there!" Nathaniel, who was in the crowd, shouted.

With a nod, Dragnarok flies into the burning building.

Using his Ice and Water elements, the draconic hero started putting out the fire around him.

However, whenever he put a fire out, another seems to instantly take it's place. Seeing this, Dragnarok knew something was wrong, but he couldn't worry about that now, as there was people to save.

"Hello? Anyone in here?" Dragnarok shouted over the roaring flames. "Anyone?!"

That when a faint sound to his left.

Follow it, Dragnarok found five people backed into a corner by the fire, fear painted on their faces as a few burnt corpses lay near them.

Acting quick, Dragnarok put out the fire to form a path to exit.

"Everyone, hurry!" He shouted.

With a nod, the five ran out as fast as they could.

Dragnarok looks around to see if there was anyone. Seeing that there was no one else, Dragnarok flew out of the building.

"Okay, is that everyone?" He asked, getting nods all around.

"Look!" A citizen shouted, pointing to Notre Dame.

Following his finger, everyone saw something standing above the entrance.

What they saw a male humanoid figure with wings made of pure fire sprouting out of his back. His skins was orange and was wearing red armor that had the symbol of a flame on the center of the chest piece. He had a red mask that wrapped around his pure yellow eyes. He had fire for hair. Wrapped around his wrists were silver bracers. Finally, he had yellow talon-like feet. In his right hand was a broadsword with the blade shaped like a flame.

The figure then jumps down and lands in front of Dragnarok.

"I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say that you were the cause of this." Dragnarok said with a glare.

"Indeed. I am Phoenix Daybreaker, general of Lord Eldritch." The figure introduced himself. "My master had sent me here to burn Notre Dame to the ground."

"For what reasons?!" Dragnarok demanded.

"To deliver a message. Lord Eldritch isn't happy with you getting in the way of his operations." Phoenix Daybreaker said. "Meet me on the roof, we'll settle this there."

The Homunculus then flies to Notre Dame's roof, with Dragnarok following right behind him.

Land on the roof, the two adversaries stare each other down.

"This is the perfect spot for us to play." Phoenix Daybreaker said.

Dragnarok said nothing as he grabbed his pendant.

"Armor Up!" He shouted, summoning the Dark Armor.

"Now show me the power you used to defeat five of my brethren." The Homunculus said before swinging his sword, sending a wave of fire at the draconic hero.

Dragnarok countered by firing a wave of water before charging at Phoenix Daybreaker with a Aether sword.

The two clashed sword for a while before the flaming Homunculus pushed Dragnarok back.

"Is that really the best you can do?" Phoenix Daybreaker asked in a taunting matter.

"You've seen nothing yet, Psycho Burner!" Dragnarok taunted back.

The flaming Homunculus growled before launching a barrage of fireballs.

Using Dragon Time, Dragnarok maneuvered his way through the barrage and delivered a uppercut, sending Phoenix Daybreaker back a distance.

"You little-!" The Homunculus growled before stabbing the roof with his sword, destroying it and having Dragnarok and himself fall into the burning building.

"Are you crazy?!" Dragnarok shouted as he got back onto his feet.

"I could ask you the same thing, as you continue to defy Lord Eldritch." Phoenix Daybreaker remarked.

"Like I bow to that madman!" Dragnarok shouted.

"Don't you dare call Lord Eldritch names!" The Homunculus shouted in anger.

"Just saying what I see him as." Dragnarok said with a shrug.

However, this just angered Phoenix Daybreaker even more.

"That's it! I'm going to burn you and everyone you cared about to a crisp!" The Homunculus shouted in absolute fury. His anger also causing the fire around to grow in size.

"Then bring it on, Psycho Burner!" Dragnarok shouted with a smirk.

Phoenix Daybreaker simply let out a angry yell before charging at the draconic hero with his sword.

Dragnarok raised his Aether sword defense, causing Phoenix Daybreaker to bash on it with his sword berserker style.

After a few hits, Dragnarok, seeing an opening, fires a stream of water, pushing Phoenix Daybreaker back and giving the draconic hero breathing room.

Dispelling the Aether sword, Dragnarok fires two streams of Ice and Water at the Homunculus, causing him to roar in pain.

After a full minute, Dragnarok stopped the attack and saw Phoenix Daybreaker on his hands and knees, in pain and out of breath. His hair and wings of fire being extinguished.

"My flame..." The Homunculus moaned before noticing that cracks were beginning to form on his body. With a annoyed sigh, he glares at the draconic hero. "Listen up! I'm only going to say this once. Back when Lord Eldritch was Ifirt, he had a friend named Hanif. The two were close, as they practically brother all but in blood. One day, Hanif became smitten with a woman and did everything he could to win her love. However, a member of the Pharaoh's court also had his eye on the woman and wanted her for himself. He accused Hanif of treason, claiming he was plotting again the Pharaoh. Hanif was executed the following day."

"And can assume that Eldritch didn't take it well." Dragnarok said.

"Of course." Phoenix Daybearker said as more cracks formed. "Disgusted and furious by the injustice done to his friend, Lord Eldritch used the Cat Miraculous to became Bastet's Shadow to exact his revenge. He killed the court member then went after any family and friends he had."

"Let me guess, this act caused him to be stripped of the Cat Miraculous, right?" Dragnarok asked.

"Exactly." The Homunculus said as cracks covered his entire body. "This being one of three reasons." He then gives Dragnarok one last glare. "You may have defeat me, and I can say you beat the remaining two generals, but you'll never defeat Lord Eldritch!"

And with that, Phoenix Daybreaker shatters into small shards of fire, leaving behind a red feather that seems to be emulating heat.

After pocketing the feather, Dragnarok quickly uses his Ice and Water elements to put the fire out.

Meanwhile, Eldritch saw the battle through his crystal and was not pleased.

"Another one of my generals defeated..." Eldritch growled while grinding his teeth. "Dragnarok is proving to be more trouble then he is worth. No matter, in the end, he'll submit to my power!"

And with that, Eldritch let out a evil laugh!

And that's that!

Before I go, I want to address a few things:

First, Phoenix Daybreaker burning Notre Dame is indeed a reference to the Notre-Dame de Paris Fire, where on the 15th of April, 2019, Notre Dame caught on fire, destroying the roofs, causing the spire to collapse, and severely damaging to upper walls. Luckily, no one was killed and only three people had suffered from non-fatal injuries.

I'm sorry if this offends anyone, but I've had seen other Miraculous fanfic writers make chapters about the fire.

Although, I'm surprised the actual show didn't make reference to it. I mean, they made a COVID-19 special, so why not one about the Notre Dame fire?

Anyway, on to the next thing I want to address.

Like Temporal Nagabind, Phoenix Daybreaker is based on a character I made before, that being Psycho Burner. However, the connection is a losse one, but it's still there. Hell, Dragnarok even calls Phoenix Daybreaker Psycho Burner in a taunting matter.

Anyway, I hope you all enjoyed, and I'll see you next time!
