Season 2.5 Opening( I Will Not Bow by Breaking Benjamin)(I do not own the song)

Walking through the Catacombs, Dragnarok managed to find the pathway that Cerberus Genocider was talking about.

Going into it, Dragnarok walked down a long hallway, with the walls covered in hieroglyphics, which all depict Eldritch and Malefor committing many atrocities, including the Ten Plagues of Egypt.

"What a pleasant history..." The draconic hero muttered in a sarcastic tone.

Continuing forward, the draconic hero soon found the door to the tomb.

"Alright... This is it!" Dragnarok said before busting the door open. "Eldritch! Get ready for-!"

The draconic hero stopped, as he found devoid of any life. In other words, Eldritch wasn't here.

Where the hell is Eldritch?! He couldn't have chickened out, could he?" Dragnarok asked.

-Take a look around. There might be some clues.- Spyro said.

Gazing at his surroundings, Dragnarok found a giant crystal, a book shelf, a makeshift bed, a table with vials full of various chemicals, and a desk with two books on it, one with a black cover with the symbol of Aether on the cover, the other had a cover made of brown leather. Around the books were empty ink bottles.

Walking up to the books, Dragnarok picks up the book with the brown cover and looks through it.

Entry #1

It's been roughly two days since the Order of the Guardians locked me in this tomb. Fortunately, there were a couple of bribable Guardians who smuggled my personal items in before hand. Anyway, just before I was imprisoned, I'd managed to overhear the Guardians received a prophecy about a warrior known as the Dragon Messiah will inherit powers similar to Malefor and would either use those powers to become a savior, or a destroyer. Could this Dragon Messiah be the key to my freedom? Only time will tell.

"This must be Eldritch's journal!" Dragnarok said in amazement. "He must've used this to document his time of imprisonment."

~Keep reading! Maybe we'll find his masterplan in here!~ Cynder said.

Skimming through the journal, Dragnarok read the next entry of interest.

Entry #10

I've managed to construct a crystal that'll allow me to view the outside world. Sort of like a magic mirror or a crystal ball, if you will. So far, I used the crystal to see the current wielder of the Cat Miraculous, and I am very disappointed. This weakling doesn't deserve to wield Plagg's destructive power!

After reading the entry, Dragnarok looks that the giant crystal for a second before skimming through.

Entry #13

I finally did it... I managed to to recreate my Homunculus children... But... They're nothing more than copies. These copies are based off of the various beasts of legends that had formed over the decades. The Wendigo... Fenrir... The Mandrake... The Griffin... The Naga.. The Phoenix... The Kraken... And Cerberus. These beasts were the templates for the copies. Mix in the dragon elements, and eight new beings were born. Freezebite Wendigo, Fenrir Midnight, Miasma Mandragora, Stormer Gryphon, Temporal Nagabind, Phoenix Daybreaker, Kraken Hydrown, and Cerberus Genocider are their names.

Dragnarok frowned at that entry, not liking how Eldritch simply refers to his generals as mere copies.

Entry #24

It's amusing how humans are so quick to kill each other. The World Wars, the French Revolution, and the Spanish Inquisition are just a small handful of the various events where humans are more then will to shed the blood of their own kind. Fortunately for me, I have risen above the weak flesh of humanity. Let them splash in the blood of their own like pigs in mud!

Seeing that he wasn't finding anything useful, Dragnarok skipped to the last entry.

Entry #50

Finally... After 5000 years... Freedom! The tomb has been opened! Soon, the world will know the pain that I have endured.

"Nothing..." Dragnarok muttered as he put the journal down. He then picks up the other book. "What about this one?"

Opening it, the draconic hero saw that the book was written in a strange language, one that Dragarok was somehow able to understand, or at least sort of.

"What is this? I can understand this, yet I can't that the same time." Dragnarok said.

-I recognize this, it's the language from our world!- Spyro said in surprise.

~Indeed. However, the text is ancient. Perhaps we should show Ignitus this.~ Cynder said.

Before Dragnarok could say anything, a bright light erupts from one of the dark corners of the tomb. Following it, the draconic hero saw that it was a TV that appeared to be crudely installed, as various cables and wires were haphazardly spread across the wall.

And on the TV's screen was the one behind it all.

Eldritch.

"Greetings everyone, I am Eldritch." The mastermind said. "You see, I am the one responsible for the crystal wall surrounding France and taking over the country. France is just a stepping stone for what I have planned. You know, I used to be human, but I have ascended from the confines of humanity's weak flesh and became something more. I now have power, power you couldn't even dream of! And with this power, a new world will be born!" Eldritch then gains a devilish smirk. "And Dragnarok... Have fun playing with my latest creation, the Dracolich!"

After the TV turns itself off, the giant crystal begins floating out of the tomb, which then began to shake violently.

"The place is coming down!" Dragnarok in panic. Quickly grabbing the book and journal, the draconic hero ran out the exit as the roof of the tomb starts to collapse.

Managing to get into the Catacombs, the quaking stopped and Dragnarok saw the hallway leading to Eldritch's tomb had caved in.

"Man... That was a close one." Dragnarok muttered.

He then heard a humming sound behind him. Turning around, the draconic hero saw the crystal floating in the air. It then released a burst of energy, causing all the bones in the Catacombs to suddenly float to it. As more bones began to swarms the crystal, it began to glow brighter, forcing Dragnarok to cover his eyes. There was then a huge burst of energy, causing the draconic hero to be thrown upwards.

Landing on his back, Dragnarok saw that he was on the streets of Paris.

Suddenly, something erupted from the ground, and what Dragnarok saw shocked him.

At first, it appeared to be a giant dragon skeleton, but on closer inspection, the structure is made up of human bones. The membranes of the creature's wings were stitched together pieces of rotten human flesh. And in the creature's ribcage was the crystal.

The beast born of human remains, the Dracolich.

The Dracolich let's out a loud roar before releasing a stream of purple fire.

Dragnarok quickly took to the sky to avoid the flame.

"Should've known Eldritch would've set a trap..." The draconic hero muttered before grabbing his pendant. "Armor Up!"

After summoning the Dark Armor, Dragnarok fired a beam of Aether, which blew off the beast's left wing. However, the crystal in the beast's ribcage began to glow, causing the bones to reform and repair the wing. The beast then took to the sky and knocked Dragnarok out of the air with a tail swipe.

Landing on his back, Dragnarok got back onto his feet with a groan. Straightening out his back, Dragnarok felt something on his side.

His eyes widen in realization. Kraken Hydrown's katana! He completely forget about it when he rushed to fight Cerberus Genocider!

Taking the blade out of the scabbard, Dragnarok glared that the Dracolich before noticing the crystal in the beast's ribcage.

"That must be the weak spot..." Dragnarok muttered.

With a plan in mind, the draconic hero flies up to the Dracolich's ribcage and slices it open. Before the crystal could get the chance to repair the ribcage, Dragnarok stabbed it with his katana, causing the beast to roar in pain.

The Dracolich grabbed Dragnarok and the katana and threw them to the ground.

Getting back out, Dragnarok saw the crystal had a huge crack in it.

However, the Dracolich is also aware of this, as once it lands, it takes apart it's wings before reforming them over it's chest, making a barrier over the crystal.

"Clever..." Dragnarok muttered before an idea popped into his head.

Using Dragon Time, Dragnarok flies up to the barrier and begins slashing madly, tearing away at the blockage before finding the crystal, which he stabbed into.

The Dracolich let out a weak roar before exploding into a mess of bones.

"What a pain..." Dragnarok groaned before spotting the Eiffel Tower, which was covered into dark crystals, and on top of it was Eldritch. "There you are..."

Dragnarok takes off, not knowing that final step in Eldritch's plan is almost complete.

And that's that! Not much this chapter, just a bit of backstory and a mini-boss.

Also, fun fact, the way the generals were kill are related to the elements they use.
