Julie kept still, as did Midnight. They had no other options. The conversation outside the room lasted for several minutes, and Julie overheard them discussing the school. One of them sounded like the janitor again, and she could overhear the other man offer to show him something nearby in his class.

Luck was still on their side as the door was never opened, and the chatter faded with corresponding footsteps. Thank Arceus for that teacher. Julie was still afraid to move and felt petrified enough to pass out, but it would be their one chance to leave if the hall was clear. They couldn't afford to sit idle and get themselves caught.

"Let me check…" As Midnight stepped off her chest, Julie got up and went to the door. With her breath held for the second time, she leaned and peeked out the small window to see no one was there.

Julie glanced at him and his radiant rings that were taking their sweet time to die down. It would help their subtle escape if he wasn't a lucent yellow eye-catcher. "Come. Come on, Midnight." She snatched her phone and jacket off the floor and sighed before slowly opening the door. She didn't have a sore throat, possibly due to his size, but it did radiate with an odd sensation that made her clear it a couple of times. She needed water.

Julie stepped into the hallway and looked both ways, which risked everything to death, but that was her only option. Fortunately, no one was around either. After Midnight, she closed the door and paced down the hall and stairs by her business class that she used to get up here, tense the entire time since anyone could show up.

He was right behind her, trotting down the steps to match her pace. His legs still trembled from thrusting and such an intense finish.

Julie stopped before she got to the last few steps and turned around to face Midnight. "I... don't know if we can do that anymore; it's too risky, really... I'll see you soon." Julie leaned down and tilted his chin upward with her hand, kissing his lips softly and passionately.

He shut his eyes and leaned into it, nearly fell forward after Julie pulled away.

She walked off while putting her jacket on and checked the time on her phone. Lunch ended in roughly five minutes, so there was no point in going to the cafeteria now. Julie headed down the hall to her locker past a guy leaving the restroom with a putrid smoky scent emanating from him, waving her hand in front of her nose to rid of it.

Students started filling in little by little from the cafeteria to get their books, and some had been in the halls, couples doing couple things, friends chatting with each other against lockers in private, and individuals on their phones or taking calls. Julie reached the end of the third hall and started her walk down the second, ignoring a couple getting touchy at a locker and turning at the bench after reaching it.

Julie sped up her pace after passing her history class and stopped at her locker. She unlocked it, grabbing her language arts text, water bottle, and other equipment before turning and heading north to her class since it was opposite to her science one and down the same hall. She headed back toward the bench, her mind blank and racing simultaneously.

Something told her she wouldn't be paying attention throughout her following lectures.

When Julie got to her language arts class, she stopped at the open door and casually peeked inside to see if anyone else was there, spotting a few students and the teacher grading papers at his desk. One student wrote notes at their desk with earphones in while others talked and snickered.

Julie went to the left mid-section of the desks and set her bag down, sighing. She opened and took huge sips of her water, setting it on her desk and clearing her throat afterward.

She looked around at posted excerpts from non-fiction novels, quotes from renowned authors and public speakers, and cute pokémon posters that were charmeleon, wartortle, and ivysaur-themed, stating random punctuation and writing rules.

But she mainly looked around at her peers and more that entered, waiting for a double glance or disgusted expression toward her. Julie was still paranoid. What if someone saw her entering or leaving that room with Midnight? If another student did, it would most definitely be spread throughout the school along with everything else about her, but that would be her fault. She was asking for it by having sex twice at the worst place she could. Julie wanted to help her case; her recent actions said otherwise.

She got through language arts and business while on constant edge. The feeling never left; there was nothing she could do to relieve it after what she'd pulled for the second time now— except this one was too close for comfort.

After her last class, Julie went downstairs and straight to her locker to see Alyssa leaning against it. "Ugh," she mumbled while approaching.

Alyssa had her arms crossed. "Didn't see you at lunch today."

Alyssa usually sat alone when Julie wasn't with her since she wasn't at all close to the other friends. Alyssa also received stares often, possibly due to her being Julie's friend, but people knew not to test her unless they were up for a confrontation.

"It's nothing," Julie replied quickly as if that would dismiss the subject.

"Really? You don't have to tell me, but we're close and always have been. If we hide things from each other, we'll grow distant." Alyssa moved so Julie could access her locker. "You've been acting like this for days now."

She glanced at her. "...I'll tell you on the way home."

After Julie got her backpack, they exited the school and rode beside each other across the dirt to Julie's house. Route 37 wasn't too populated besides other students walking home and people with their pokémon. It was mainly them, light breezes, and trees lining the path to their far left and right. Julie had been silent but felt the tension between her and Alyssa, especially with her shooting glances, waiting for her to speak.

Julie pulled her brakes and used her foot to stop the bike faster, stirring the dirt and creating a small cloud as her shoe slid across. She waited a beat. "It's… the umbreon," Julie blurted but didn't look up from the ground.

Alyssa had stopped ahead but backed up, leaning on her handlebars. "Knew that, but why the outfit and lunch skipping?"

Julie began blushing, no matter how much she attempted to prevent it. Her cheeks were a deep, rich red as if someone had smacked her.

"Oh... don't tell me you're…" Alyssa started. "You're fucking the umbreon, aren't you?" She smirked and held back the urge to giggle. Alyssa watched her face redden even more if that were possible. "That's risky, you know? Didn't take you to be the type."

Julie swallowed and finally looked at her. "Y-You aren't disgusted by it?"

She shrugged. "No… I mean, I don't think it's a good idea to do at school. Stupid of you, actually, but you're my best friend. Plus, plenty of trainers are into that. Used to marry pokémon once upon a time when morals were different."

Julie shut her eyes for a second. "But he belongs to the principal, Ali. I can't have him anywhere else."

"So, why not ask him if you can have Midnight, then?"

"I can't just waltz into the office and ask that kind of question..."

"Not with that attitude. Why not?"

Julie rolled her eyes. "Because it'd be weird, Alyssa." How couldn't she see that? Julie would love to do that but didn't have the courage. There was no way the school would just hand her Midnight. Maybe in a perfect world or alternate reality.

In fifteen minutes, give or take, they were at Julie's front porch. Lilly was sitting by the door while grooming her lifted paw; Julie stood with Alyssa on the road while she sat on her bike.

"Thank you for not flipping out... or shaming me," said Julie.

"Nah. I wouldn't ever make you feel lesser than. I do have to get used to the thought of my bff getting 'yena-styled by a night eevee, though."

Her face reddened all over again, and she looked away. "Y-You really don't have to say it like that." She was so vulgar and unfiltered sometimes. Julie had never gotten used to it.

"My bad, but hey, it's all love." Alyssa turned her bike around. "I'll see you later, though. I've gotta run to the store before dinner." She stopped and looked back with a smirk. "Where'd you two fuck?"

"Alyssa, no..." Alyssa never got off her. She was so nosy.

She shrugged. "I think I deserve to know after you kept your boy toy from your best friend and skipped lunch on her twice for him. C'mon." Alyssa nudged.

Again, Julie shifted her eyes away. "Girl's locker room and room two hundred..." What was next, asking their positions? Julie was never showing her the video.

Alyssa shook her head while keeping her smirk. How'd she even get into 200? "You maniac. Guess he made it worth it since you walked out with Parkinson's the first time, huh?"

Julie snorted. "Alyssa, go home!"

"Yeah, yeah, I'm going."

"Bye." Julie giggled and shook her head while watching Alyssa wave and pedal into Goldenrod. How'd Julie land her of all people?

She went and sat on her steps after checking an empty mailbox, watching a car press its brakes to go over a speed bump on the road. What a day, and she still had homework to do at that.

She felt something warm brush her back and looked behind her. "Oh, I forgot you were here for a sec, Lilly. You're probably starving." Julie stood and unlocked the door. She would sleep better tonight now that she had told someone her secret.
