This is my response to the furor caused by the Promo on Squab and the Quail.

Based off the promo for 5x21 "The Squab and the Quail". T rating for language.

Spoilers up to 'The Fast and the Furriest'. A short sequence that has rattled around my head since the episode aired. Enjoy.

She feels like she is drowning, a sense of rushing water clouds her mind. She can hear the gush of a river resonating in her ears...But what happens next surprises everyone.

Kate Beckett, huge fan of the novelist Richard Castle, writes him an email asking about his motivation for writing. He responds and they begin to write to each other. Alternative meeting - if 1x01 hadn't happened...

Johanna is a top lawyer, travelling all over the world, and bringing a teenage Kate with her. She's now working in London, and Kate is at boarding school in the English countryside (where the story is ALL set - don't be put off by...things.) But Kate isn't the only American at St James' Academy...

When Christmas Eve gets angsty, Kate's only safe solution is a tactical retreat. And really, where else are you going to read an angsty romcom that includes Boba Fett, Aqua Net, Simon & Garfunkle, Wales and mentions of Castle sashaying?
