My 1st fan fiction... I'm a little nervous about putting this up. Meredith comes to town to take Alexis on vacation, but Alexis is sick. Meredith stays the weekend, and Kate also is staying at Castles for the weekend 'cause of castles pleas. Spoilers of an episode coming up in season 5... I'm not sure if i want to continue this, so please tell me in reviews! :)

Working on a coffee shop isn't exactly the most interesting job in the world. To keep her mind busy, Sally developed the bad habit of creating theories about her clients' lives. Most of those theories would be forgotten before her lunch break, but there was a particular one that kept her puzzled. The mystery of Rick Castle and his extra coffee.

This story is based on the promo for Episode 5, Probable Cause. A look at the events from Kate's and from Rick's perspectives.

When Kate tries to help Alexis, Rick winds up helping her-and they all wind up helping eachother with lots of laughs, tears, and trials along the way. Funny how sometimes you don't realize you need help until you get it.

A one shot, Rick paints a portrait of Kate on their last night in the Hampton's. Takes place right after 5x04. I thought we could all use a little swooning before the events of 5x05 take place.
