Speaking of Mandark, he popped his head out of the room.

Everyone else had gone home for the weekend, and he was left inside Bowditch, working on what he was forced to do.

Seeing that Kevin was not around either, Mandark decided to head out and get some rest, yawning in the style of his signature laugh.

But upon hearing Mr. Dodo's chortle inside the library, he quickly backed away.

"Here's one." Mr. Dodo said, looking through one of the library books. "Why is a raven like a…writing desk? Do you have the answer to this one, Daniel?"

"Honestly, Mr. D, I haven't got a clue." Daniel replied while on the ladder putting some books back on the top shelf.

"Daniel?" a voice called out, almost making Daniel lose his balance, but he managed to hang onto the ladder, looking down to see that it was Mrs. Chinn and his mother, the Queen, who said. "Oh, there you are."

"How did you know I was here?" asked Daniel.

"Well, aside from your target practicing, you often spend most of your time in the library." explained Mrs. Chinn.

"That sums it up." said Daniel.

"Of course, the weekend is always a good time to unwind and catch up on a few things." added Mr. Dodo.

Daniel slid down the ladder to ground level, where he asked. "So, what's up?"

"Well, Mrs. Chinn gave me a full report of your progress." explained the Queen. "And I was pleased to hear what you've been doing, especially when you hired someone to aide one of our 6th graders."

"Well, Nathan was like the rest of them." Daniel said with a shrug. "So, I did what I could do to help."

"And I couldn't be more proud of you." The Queen said, hugging her son, who cleared his throat, saying. "If there's anything else…"

"There is." said Mrs. Chinn. "Mrs. Button called in sick and asked if you could cover her PE class for a few days."

Daniel's eyes widened when he heard the news. But before he could respond, there was a yell and a crash from outside the library.

Daniel went out to seeing Reggie lying on the ground.

"What happened?" he asked, then noticed a big cardboard box by Reggie.

"Hey, that's it! My package arrived!"

"Uh, no, no! It's nothing, nothing at all!" Reggie said, upon seeing the Queen standing by the library doors. "Just some...dull, boring stuff! I'll uh…get it out of your way."

"Well, let's see what kind of dull, boring stuff is in there, shall we?" suggested the Queen.

Once the box was placed on one of the tables inside the library, Daniel opened it with a cutter, and dig through the styrofoam, pulling out…a square-shaped globe.

"Seriously?" asked Mrs. Chinn

"Another addition to your collection?" assumed the Queen.

"I was kind of expecting to see it…rounder?" said Daniel.

"Ah, well." Reggie said with a shrug. "We don't have to worry about what's out there anyway. We've got enough to do here."

As he went to find the packing tape, Daniel looked closer at the globe cube.

"So much unexplored…" he marveled.

"Oh, but look. Danger at every corner." Mr. Dodo said while examining the square globe. "Why if you go too far, you'll fall right off."

"I think it's filled with wonders and adventure!" Daniel said, looking up from the globe.

"Let's just stick to the adventure that's in front of you," Mrs. Chinn said, placing a hand in his shoulder. "Which is finding a special someone at the ball."

"Well, you never know, Mrs. Chinn." Daniel said, looking out the window. "Maybe there's something amazing to discover…just around the corner."
