The yo-kai watch… a device that allows humans to interact with yo-kai, or as you would call them, the undead. The yo-kai watch's origins have been shrouded with many mysteries. Who created it? Nathaniel Adams or someone else? Who dawns the yo-kai watches? Why would they have it? Well to know this, we must go to one boy. This boy was… average… very average. His weight was average, his hair was average, everything about him was average. Aside from his ability to communicate with the yo-kai, as he is one of the wielders of the yo-kai watch. He has wielded the most out of the three, having different models, with the current one being the Yo-Kai Watch Dream. This boy is named Nathan Adams, better known as Nate. He was ready to start his average day in the town of Springdale. "Ah, the last day of school!" Nate exclaimed, opening the door to his balcony. The heat from the sun hit him, it was hot, very hot. But he didn't care, the heat was good, heat meant summer was coming, summer meant time away from the torture that was school. "Ah yes, the last day of school. What a wonderful time!" Whisper said, Nate's personal Yo-Kai butler.

"Yep! And today is special." Nate said, opening his closet and grabbing his usual clothes. A plain red shirt with a white star in the middle, he also went over his drawers and pulled out some gray jeans and his brown belt. "Oh really? You have something planned for today Nate?" Whisper asked, his purple lips smacked together. Nate nodded at his Yo-Kai butler. "Today is the day… I will take Katie on a date." Nate said, Whisper let out a loud gasp as there was a moan from the other side of the room. "You're joking right?" A red cat muttered. This was Jibanyan, Nate's best friend and feline companion. "Nope! I asked her last week if she would like to go on this exact day at this exact time." Nate said, dancing around his room. "So… it's nyot really a date?" Jibanyan asked, looking up at his human companion from the bed. "Well-I-you see-no." Nate came to the quick conclusion, lowering his head. "Well… I think it's the closest you are going to get to her. So good for you." Whisper said, patting Nate on the shoulder. The twelve year old boy looked up at the purple lipped ghost. "What does that mean?" he asked, raising his eyebrow. "Oh dearest Nathan, let's face it. With how many times you have been around her, something seems to mess up between you two. Be it yo-kai or yourself. I'm surprised she even said yes." Whisper said, crossing his arms. Nate was about to retort back, but Jibanyan stepped in. "It's true, for as long as I have been with you Nyate, you and her just don't click." The cat said, jumping off the couch. Nate clenched his fists, "I'll show the two of you. I'm going to take her on the best date ever!" Nate said, slamming the door behind him.

"I bet my Chocobars it goes nowhere."

"I bet my Yo-kai pad it does."

The two yo-kai shook hands and took off after their human companion. It was normal that they accompanied him to school, that's where yo-kai shenanigans happened most of the time. To both of them, it was just going to be the same Tuesday. As the now three began walking to school, Whisper felt a ding in his pocket, well, invisible pocket. He checked said invisible pocket, pulling out his trusty Yo-kai pad, swiping it to turn it on. Upon hitting the notification, he looked to see what was going on. As Whisper read through the notification, his eyes began to light up and his voice began to get higher. "NO WAY!" he screamed flying into the air, the cat yo-kai and the human boy turned to look at him. "No way? Where?" Nate asked, looking around for the yo-kai of the same name. "No, not him! This!" Whisper shoved the yo-kai pad in Nate's face. Nate pushed him back and was finally able to look at the yo-kai pad. He was a bit surprised, staring at it and reading the message. As his eyes instantly fell to a picture on the screen, a new Yo-Kai Watch! A completely new model hidden away in the Crank-a-kai up in Mount Wildwood, the same one where he found Whisper at. "Yes! YES! We must get it, quickly, to Mount Wildwood!" Whisper said, pushing Nate in the wrong direction. "Gah! Whisper! I have school y'know!"

"Nate? What are you doing?"

Nate finally managed to plant his feet in the ground, turning to his left to see his friend and crush, Katie Forester. Katie's hair was brown and tied into the back of her head in a ponytail. That ponytail was held up by a pink bow, her eyes were brown and her mouth was always curled up into a smile most of the time. Her clothing today was her usual light yellow jacket with teal trimmings, colorful buttons and a pink heart at the bottom of the jacket. She was wearing jean shorts and had long black socks with black shoes that had neatly tied laces. Katie Forester was everything Nate Adams wanted to be, caring, pretty, and most of all, popular. Everyone knew and loved Katie, she was sweet and caring, all the while Nate was invisible to everyone. While it was true he had the Yo-Kai Watch and can basically interact with the undead, everyone would think he was crazy if he told them. Nate thought of a thousand times where his attempts to impress Katie had fallen flat on his face, whether that be because she got angry with him, was afraid of him, or he literally fell on his face. He just smiled and waved. "I was… just waiting for you, Bear, and Eddie." Nate said, waving his hands in the air. The usual smile on Katie's face was gone as her face was now a mix of confusion and worry, this hadn't been the first time Nate had acted weird. He had done very weird things in the past that ranged from very immature to flat out scary at times. She was going to press further, but the friend group finally caught up.

The group consisted of Nate himself, Katie, Barnaby (Bear), Edward (Eddie), Sarah, and Alex. "Hey you two!" Bear said, running to catch up with them. Bear was usually the gentle soul of the group, but also the hungriest. Having a robust build and pointy black hair. On his right cheek, was a white plaster that was covering something, no one knew what it was and it had been there so long that Bear himself didn't even know. He had lightly tan skin and rings around his eyes. He usually wore the same clothes, a white shirt with a weird triangle on it, a blue varsity jacket and black shorts. He wore white shoes with white laces. Eddie and the others ran up to catch him. Eddie was the tech guy of the group and if you asked Katie, she thought he was kind of self centered. Always putting himself first if she was in a group project with them. But he was very friendly, that's how the others saw him so Katie didn't say much. Eddie usually wore headphones around his ears colored black and orange. He could hear perfectly however, and they went with the orange patches on his green jacket. Under the jacket was a white shirt with buttons right by the collar along with jeans and he was wearing blue shoes with no laces. "So, what are everyone's plans for the summer?" Sarah asked, the girl had inky black hair with a flower pin in the front. Despite the sun being out, she was wearing a pink raincoat with a white dress underneath. The raincoat had white polka dots at the bottom. Her sandals had cute little flowers on top. Alex turned to her friend and smiled, "I'll be finishing my karate training and getting my very own black belt!" Alex said, her gray-ish hair bobbed as she struck a heroic pose before catching up with the group. She adjusted the yellow cap with the bright blue M on her head while also dusting herself off from the pose. Alex looked over to Nate, "What about you Nate? What are your plans this summer?" Alex asked, the spotlight fell on the average boy as he stammered. "Just playing some video games, hanging out with you guys. You know, that stuff." Nate said, seemingly fighting something mentally. Alex frowned, "Par for the course I suppose." she said, putting her hands behind her head and continuing walking. Nate looked over at the tan skinned girl, "What does that mean?" he asked, Alex looked at him. He was still struggling with something mentally and he was trying his best to not show it. "It's just… your plans are kinda…" Alex trailed off, the look on Nate's face looked pretty angry. She raised her eyebrow, "Nevermind, don't worry about it." Alex said, looking over at Katie. "How about you Katie? What are your plans?"

If only I could not worry about them Nate said, walking with his friends as Whisper tugged his shirt from behind. "I highly suggest we skip school, summon Mimikin or someone else to take your place as an exact replica, WE NEED TO GET THIS WATCH!" Whisper begged, Jibanyan had a drop of sweat rolling down the side of his head. "If you want it so bad, let's just go get it." Jibanyan said, grabbing Whisper by the bottom. "Huh?" he asked, turning around to see the cat companion. "Just the two of us, Nyate will be fine without us." Jibanyan said, letting go of Whisper. The spirit looked at the cat and back at the human, who was happily talking with his friends and even laughing. "Alright, probably for the best anyway." Whisper said, knowing Nate, he would probably get the watch all dirty. The two yo-kai set their sights out for the mountain, leaving their human companion all alone for the school day. As the two made their way up the mountain, they began to hear voices. "It was just announced, nyo way they lined up that quickly." Jibanyan said, tirelessly walking up the stairs. "Come on! We have to get up there!" Whisper said, floating up the stairs with ease. "I'm going, I'm going!" Jibanyan and co finally made their way up the mountain… only to find yo-kai already lined up. "But… but it just got announced!" Whisper screamed, holding his face in horror. Jibanyan crossed his arms, "Seriously? I doubt there are even enough balls in that machine for everyone." Jibanyan complained. Whisper fell to the ground in horror, his purple lips struggling to get words out as he knew that he wasn't going to get the new Yo-Kai Watch. His life was ruined, Nate wouldn't have the new big hit in the yo-kai world, and it would end up going to someone who clearly doesn't take care of Yo-Kai Watches.

"WE'RE HERE!"

Jibanyan and Whisper turned to see Komasan and Komajiro, the two country bumpkins that were making their way through the big city. Both of them fell to their paws and knees as they made their way up to the top of the mountain. Both were very similar, being yo-kai based on Komainu statues. While not accurate, that was what they were based off of. Komasan was white, having swirls on his cheeks and green eyeballs with black pupils. Two strokes of fire danced on his head, being the color blue. Around the pudgy and almost invisible neck of Komasan was a green bag. The bag had a large swirl on the back. The belly of Komasan was blue as well. Komajiro looked just like his brother, but the fire upon his head was brown and his eyeballs were blue. The bag around him was blue as well, but still kept the white swirls that were on Komasan's bag. Both bags were wrapped around the Komainu's invisible necks. "Oh my swirls, we ran here faster than kids when the dinner bell rings." Komasan said, catching his breath. "Well, at least it won't be so bad." Jibanyan said, putting his paws behind his head. "HOWDY FELLAS!" two more of their friends showed up. The four looked down to find Usapyon and Tomnyan rushing up the stairs to get in line as well. "Can you pardner's believe it? A fancy new Yo-Kai Watch!" Tomnyan exclaimed, taking out his guitar. "Please don't." Jibanyan said, stopping the cat yo-kai's paw from touching the guitar strings. "Your funeral buddy." Tomnyan slugged the acoustic guitar behind his back. "Well, either way. This new watch would serve Hailey Anne nicely." Usapyon said, crossing his arms. "I doubt we're going to get to it." Jibanyan said, looking over. The line moved a good centimeter. "We're going to be here for hours." Jibanyan said. "Well, good thing I brought us snacks." Komasan said, taking off his bag and unwrapping it into a small picnic area. He offered some rice balls to everyone, which Whisper and Usapyon gladly accepted. Jibanyan opened up his favorite snack ever, a Chocobar. The sweet smell of chocolate filled the cat's nose as he took a bite out of it. There was a satisfying crunch as he began to chew

As the day went on and on, the line grew shorter and longer at the same time. It seemed like everyone was trying to get this watch. "NYAAAAAAAN! We have been waiting for hours." Jibanyan said, he wasn't even sure if they were halfway yet. "How has this thing not run out yet?" Jibanyan complained some more, to which Whisper crossed his arms. "If you are going to complain, you might as well get out of here." the self proclaimed butler said. "He makes a point though." Usapyon said. He was in the middle of cleaning his blaster. "We have been out here for quite a while and the line seems to have stopped moving. Maybe this whole thing is a prank." Usapyon said. Whisper put his hands on his cheeks and screamed in horror, causing most people to look at him like he lost his mind, which if any of them hung out with Whisper, that could very well be the case. Jibanyan munched on the last Chocobar he kept until a pink rune circle appeared above him. The circle was basically a portal to a void. "Finyally, the only time I'm happy Nyate summoned me." Jibanyan said. Tomnyan patted Jibanyan on the shoulder. "Tell him I said hi!" he said, Jibanyan looked at him. "I will not!" The red cat was swept up into the portal and the rune closed, with a loud announcer saying. "IT'S TIME FOR THE CHARMING TRIBE!" before cutting out entirely. "Now that party pooper is gone, let's get back to waiting." Whisper said, turning around. The line moved one inch and he screamed with delight, causing the Koma bros and the two Merican Yo-kai to have drops of sweat roll down the back of their heads.

Springdale Elementary School:

"JIBANYAN!"

The cat yo-kai ended up right outside the school, although due to the summon… his mouth was on fire. Maybe Nate should get the new Yo-Kai Watch. Dropping the Yo-Kai Watch Dream would be perfect, no more roulette and no more wasabi hiding in delicious looking sushi. Jibanyan scrubbed his tongue with his paws, desperate to make it stop burning. "WHY DID YOU SUMEOWMON ME!?" the cat roared at the human. Nate put his hands up in defense. "How am I supposed to know that you were going to get wasabi?!" Nate tried to defend himself, but the cat yo-kai wasn't having it. His mouth was on fire like the ends of his tails. He turned to see who he was summoned to deal with… it was Poofessor. "YOU SUMEOWMONED ME FOR HIM!?" Jibanyan screamed, a fiery aura circling him. "Did you know that most kids learn the least on the last day of school?" the purple bear said, shifting his glasses. Poofessor was a legendary Yo-kai, belonging to the shady tribe. He was dressed up like a graduate, with the end of his hat having a small flame on it. In one of the bear's paws was a stick and at the end of that stick was blue colored fecal matter. Putting that fecal matter on someone's head allowed them to recite useless trivia that no one cared about. He was not fun, especially on the last day of school. "You're working… on the last day of school?" Jibanyan asked, turning to him. "Of course, it is my job to make sure the children learn something today instead of just goofing off and waiting for the bell to ring." Poofessor said, doing a little twirl. "He's been like this all day, you will not believe what I had to do to make sure my friends didn't get… that on their heads." Nate said, pointing to the end of Poofessor's stick. "Yikes, this is nyot fun." Jibanyan said. "So why don't you deal with them and you can go back to Mount-"

"Nate…?"

Nate stopped dead in his tracks, the world around him turned to nothingness, just a black void with only two human beings inside, that included himself and the person right next to him, his crush. He turned to Katie, she had a very worried look on her face. "Who… who are you talking to?" she asked. Nate scratched the back of his head, his eyes darting over to Poofessor and Jibanyan, both locking eyes with each other and not aware of the human's dilemma. Since Nate was the only one with the Yo-Kai Watch, he was the only one seeing and talking with the dead, he couldn't exactly tell Katie that he was talking with a red and white cat who ate chocolate and wrote weird girl band fanfictions and a purple bear that had… it at the end of a stick. She would be even more worried for his sanity right now. Usually, this wasn't a problem, if a yo-kai was bothering him at school, he would deal with it on the roof or deal with it on the side or behind the school. It was always like that, no one questioned what he was doing or why he needed to go to these places, now Katie was here and she had probably seen him talking with the air for like a good five or ten minutes. "Uhh…" Nate began, trying to think of a good lie. It seems that the yo-kai have noticed his dilemma as Jibanyan was now staring at Katie with a shocked expression. "Nate, I can see your eyes darting to the right, there's… nobody there." Katie said, the worried look still on her face. "I can make this all go away if you just let me drop this doose on her head." the purple bear yo-kai that somehow had a PHD said, holding the stick towards Katie. Instead, Nate grabbed Poofessor and hoisted him into the air. "I'll… I'll be right back!" Nate laughed, running backwards and not looking where he was going, crashing into plants, the wall, before making it behind the school.

"See, I told you I wasn't crazy. He was doing this last week."

Katie turned to Alex, who had a concerned look on her face. "He's acting like a complete and utter crazy person. Wasn't as bad as what I saw him do last week, talking to someone named 'Jibanyan' and saying he's 'sick' or whatever." Alex said, shrugging her shoulders. Katie looked back at the direction Nate sped off to get away from her. "I've… I've never seen him act like this. Yeah, he's acted strange before, but I've never seen him just have a full blown conversation with… nothing." Katie said, crossing her arms. The worry for her friend only seemed to get higher as she thought back to all the times Nate had acted so weird. "I'm telling you Katie, ever since Nate got that crazy watch of his, he's been a lunatic. In the nicest way possible, try to open your eyes once and a while." Alex said, walking away back to the classroom. Katie did the same, but on the way back she quickly pulled out her phone and went to the internet browser, typing up the word "Jibanyan". What was a Jibanyan anyway? Whatever it was, she was going to find out.

Mount Wildwood:

"Finally, We have been here since the crack of dawn, meow." Tomnyan said, finally noticing that they were at the Crank-a-kai. The white yo-kai butler floated forward, taking out a coin from his invisible pocket. "Please Lord Enma, I don't ask for much, but please… just let me get this watch." Whisper begged, sticking the coin in the slot and turning it. A small ball came out and he struggled to open it, but when he did, a bright blinding light filled his vision. "Can it be, is it?!" Whisper said, as the light disappeared… it turned out to be some sort of key. Whisper turned to stone and fell to the ground. The key had the colorful pattern of the Yo-Kai Watch, pink, green, purple and blue. In the middle was a blue flame, the colorful picture with the blue flame was small and was surrounded by whiteness. Whisper floated away as Komasan and Komajiro did their pull, they found… nothing but dust. "Oh my swirls! People need to clear these things out." Komasan said, Komajiro had a drop of sweat roll down his head. The Merican cat yo-kai was up next, having a pull. He opened up his capsule to find… "Well I'll be! A free massage in Yo-Sagges!" Tomnyan said, showing off the coupon. "YES!" Usapyon said, heading up to the Crank-a-kai. He knew that he was going to get it, being the last yo-kai here. If none of the others got the watch, he was surely going to get it. He placed his coin in the slot and turned it. As the last ball came out, he smiled and grabbed it, opening it with ease. Inside… was a boring action figure made of sticks. "I guess we all go home empty handed, meow." Tomnyan sighed, the others sighed too.

"What about Whisper? He got some sort of key."

Whisper eyed the key he had, it was interesting, but also let off a mysterious aura, just what was this thing?

A/N: This is the start of me bringing back an old dead account I haven't used since like I was 14 maybe. I've learned over the years that running from the past gets you nowhere and it's better to own up to your mistakes or take them head on rather than running to alt accounts or pretending to be someone else when you are really not. I'll use this whenever I feel like it, dabble in some Yo-kai Watch, definitely dabble in some Fnaf. But this will start out me using this account again. I should mention real quick that most of the later stuff in the series has been localized thanks to the manga of all things, so I'll be going off of the localized names a lot except if I don't like one of the English names or there isn't a localized name. Constructive Criticism is always appreciated (or hate, whatever you perfer :D)
