Chapter 1: A New Threat Appears!
In the Soul Society, the war between the Soul Reapers and the Vandenreich continues throughout the Seireitei. A battered and beaten Kenpachi Zaraki was lying on the ground as he looked up at a very familiar face.
The Squad 11 captain smirked and said, "Heh, I never thought that you'd come to help me."
The person he was talking to is a certain Substitute Soul Reaper, Ichigo Kurosaki. Ichigo looked down at the captain with a smile on his face. He was wearing a bandana over his orange hair and a cloak over his kimono. "Can you get up?" he asked.
"Can I get up, you say. You idiot. Worry about yourself, not me."
Ichigo's smile disappeared once Kenpachi said that. Behind him, one of the Quincies that attacked Kenpachi charged towards the substitute soul reaper with lightning charging up in her hand. Before she could attack, a fist stretched the sky and struck her, causing her to crash to the ground behind Ichigo.
"What the hell?!" Ichigo exclaimed, looking behind his shoulder at what just happened.
"ICHIGO!" A familiar voice yelled, getting the orange haired soul reaper's attention. He looked up and sees a certain pirate with a straw hat falling from the skies towards him.
"Hold on…" The narrator said. "Why are we starting from here? This is too far into the story to start!" The narrator looks over at the writer. "Hey you! Give me the script with the real starting point." The writer nodded as he quickly wrote a new script and handed it to the narrator.
"Underneath the Red Line in Fishman Island…wait…" The narrator throws the script at the writer. "That's too far back! Where's the script with the real starting point!" The writer nods as he quickly sees another script and passes it to the narrator.
"Now…As Kaido crashed down towards…" The narrator throws the script back at the writer again. "That's too far forward! And that's for another story! Give me the script with the real beginning!" The writer looks on his desk, throwing multiple scripts around to look for the right one. Then he picked up one and hands it over to the narrator.
"Oh…this is different. Now here's the real start of the story" The narrator said, looking at the new script. "As a fleet of Marine ships approach Delta Island…"
As a fleet of Marine ships approached Delta Island by order of the Buster Call, a lone pirate was seen out of their view, sailing far away from the once lively island.
"Captain!" One of the pirates shouted from the top of the ship. "Marine ships are heading towards the island! It looks like a whole fleet of them! And it looks like there are some admirals there with them."
"Damn!" The captain cursed. "It looks like they're ordering a Buster Call. Oh well, the farther we get from that island, the better."
"But captain, what about Gold Roger's…" Another crew member said, before getting punched in the face by his captain.
"You idiot!" the Captain shouted. "What's more important right now!? The treasure or your damn life!? Did you not see the monster who got his hands on it!? We were lucky that we escaped before he used his Devil Fruit powers to drag our ship back onto the island.
"So what do we do now?" Another crewmate questioned.
"Yes, what will you do?" A new voice asked, getting the pirates' attention. They looked around and saw a man wearing a pair of glasses on his head, an odd white uniform with a leopard print vest underneath, blond hair, and leopard spots on the right side of his face.
"What the…" One of the crewmates exclaimed. "Who the hell are you?! How did you get on our ship?!"
"Are you a marine or something?!" Another shouted.
"Now, now, unless you all want to die, I suggest you don't do anything rash." The man said. "My name is…"
"Who cares what your name is, bastard!?" The captain shouted, cutting the man off as he drew his pistol. "Kill him!" The rest of the crew draw their pistols and swords, pointing them at the stranger.
"Fine, have it your way." A sadistic smile formed on the man's face.
An explosion erupted, lighting the ship on fire. The man looked around the burning deck, seeing the dead pirate crew. Some of the members were lying on the deck while others were burning in the fire.
"All of that bravado, that's all of the fight you can muster." He said. "How pathetic." The sound of coughing caught the man's attention. He looked over his shoulder and saw the captain sitting against the wooden wall of his ship. "Oh, you managed to survive that attack." The man walked towards the captain. "I'm impressed."
"Please, spare me." The captain pleaded. "I'll give you anything you want."
"Is that right?" The man said.
"Yes, treasure, booze, anything!"
"Well, what I want is information." The man said. "Tell me, do you know anything about the Straw Hat Pirates?"
"The Straw Hats? Every pirate crew knows about them, especially their captain 'Straw Hat' Luffy."
"Is that so? Do you know where they are now?"
"He's still on the island that we just left. His whole crew is still there along with a whole bunch of pirates and marines, especially with the 'Demon Heir' Douglas Bullet and Buena Vista."
The man looked down at the deck and saw a pair of binoculars. He picked them up and dragged the captain to the back of the ship. He looked through the binoculars and saw Delta Island. "That island over there?"
"Yeah, that's the one." The captain said.
"And the Straw Hats are still there, correct?"
"Yes, they're still there. So, you'll let me go right?"
"If that's the case, I'll begin my search there." The man said, before turning towards the pirate captain. "Thank you for your assistance. As for your reward…" A sadistic smile appeared on the man's face. "You get to join your crew in the afterlife."
The captain widened as he felt something pierce through his heart. The life left his eyes as he fell to the wooden deck by the man's feet.
"So one of his majesty's targets is on that island. I think I'll pay him a visit." The man vanished as the pirate ship continues to burn.
On Delta Island, Douglas Bullet looked down at Smoker, Hancock, Law, Sabo, and Buggy from inside of his damaged colossus that he created his Clank-Clank fruit with a smirk on his face. "That's not going to slow me down!" he exclaimed as he infused the colossus' remaining arm with haki.
"Everyone, get back!" Law shouted as the alliance started to move.
"I don't need two arms to crush you!" Bullet lowered his fist at his enemies, destroying the ground and sending shockwaves throughout the area around it. Buggy, who "helped" destroy the colossus' right arm earlier, tried to run away but got caught up in the blast. "Anything else you want before you die?!"
"We're finished." Law said, narrowing his eyes at the colossus. "Damn it!"
"Not yet." Sabo said, charging towards the colossus again. "If we trim him down one more time, Luffy can win. Come on, hurry!" He quickly used his devil fruit power to fly towards the colossus.
"What?! Are you crazy?!" Law looked behind his shoulder and widened his eyes at what he saw. Smoker and Hancock looked over their shoulders as well.
"Well damn…" Smoker said.
"Luffy!" Hancock shouted happily. Luffy, in his Forth Gear state, was seen in mid-air blowing air into his haki-infused fist, increasing its size as red aura covered it.
"Alright! Let's follow him!" Law shouted as they charged toward the colossus.
Bullet looked up towards the straw hat captain and saw what he is doing. "What is that?"
On the ground below, Buggy was seen with the upper and lower half of his body split apart, struggling to get up. "Damn, that was close." The pirate clown said. "That's enough for today, thanks!" Both halves of his body started to move as he makes his hastily retreat again.
Meanwhile, Sabo, Smoker, Law, and Hancock continued to rush towards the giant, preparing to attack so they could give Luffy an opening.
"Again?! I'll swat you away like flies!" Bullet shouted, coding the colossus' body with haki.
"How about this, then?!" Law said as he used his devil fruit engulfing his allies, including the retreating Buggy, in a sphere. Bullet widened his eyes as they got closer to his colossus. The four unleashed a combined attack on Bullet, destroying another part of his giant.
Enraged, Bullet covered his giant in haki again. "Oh, you think you're pretty clever, don't you!?" he exclaimed as his colossus started to move, shocking the alliance. "I'll destroy this whole island, and you along with it!"
"What now, genius!?" Smoker shouted.
"I didn't think it would still be able to move." Law said. The colossus released another shockwave, hitting the alliance and sent them crashing to the ground below. As the smoke started to clear, Law and Smoker were struggling to move as they looked up at the sky.
"BULLET!" Luffy yelled as he rushed the Demon-heir with his giant sized fist behind him. "THIS TIME, I WON'T LOSE!"
"You think you can defeat just because you won't give up?!" Bullet infused the colossus' arm with Haki, increasing its size. "It's time I put you in your place!"
"Now Gum-Gum King King…" Luffy shouted
"Ultimate Thrust!" Bullet shouted, launching his giant fist towards the pirate.
"…King Kong Gun!" Luffy threw his fist at Bullet's as the two collided. Luffy and Bullet let out fierce battle cries, trying to push the other back.
Then a spark of Luffy's haki coursed through the colossus' arm, causing parts of it to weaken and break. Luffy let out a loud cry as his punch went through the giant's arm and struck it in the face, destroying it completely. Everyone on the island, pirates and marines looked on in awe at what Luffy just did. Especially one spectator who just arrived on the island.
"So that's where you are, Monkey D. Luffy." A sadistic grin appeared on the figure's face.
Luffy widened his eyes as a metal golem came from the crumbling wreckage of the colossus he just destroyed. "That wasn't bad." Bullet said from the inside of the metal golem as the Straw Hat's arm starts to shrink. Inside, blood is coming out of Bullet's nose and mouth. "But it's still not enough!" Bullet infused the golem's arm with haki.
Chopper and Brook continued to run towards the Sunny with the unconscious Usopp on the skeleton's back, looking back at the battle between their captain and the strongest pirate in the world.
"What is he doing?" Chopper asked.
"I'm not sure." Brook replied.
"If only you were a bit stronger…" Bullet said, preparing to attack Luffy again. "But there's only room for one at the top!" Unbeknownst to Bullet, a seed-like pellet was seen somewhere in his golem. The pellet cracked open and vines sprouted out from it, wrapping themselves around the golem. "What the hell!?"
Luffy widens his eyes as the vines start to destroy the golem, doing damage to Bullet in the process. Then a smile appeared on his face, knowing where those vines came from.
"It's falling apart!" Chopper said, shocked at what's happening.
"Special Green Star…" Usopp weakly said, getting his friends' attention. "Snake Fireworks…" The sniper looked at his work with a smile on his face. "They're set off by a strong impact. Snipers are here for support after all." As they were running, a figure watched them from afar with a smirk on his face. He had found his targets.
Elsewhere on the island and a safe distance from the island, Buena Vista watched the battle in disbelief as his meal ticket was losing the battle against Luffy.
"Bullet, no!" He shouted angrily. "All my hard work, undone by an idiot with a giant rubber fist! This can't be the end of me!"
Meanwhile, the metal golem fell to pieces by Usopp's vines as Bullet fell from the wreckage. That was the moment to attack for some certain individuals.
"Took long enough." Crocodile said as his right arm morphed into sand, preparing to strike.
"The treasure's mine!" Rob Lucci shouted, changing to his leopard form and charging towards the falling pirate. Before he could reach him, the World Government agent noticed something coming towards him. He tried to kick it away, only for it to meet the flaming kick of Sanji. On the ground, Crocodile's sand blade was met with the three swords of Zoro.
"Out of the way!" Zoro said.
"That belongs to Luffy!" Sanji said.
Bullet opened his eyes in rage as he looked down at Luffy. "I'M GOING TO CRUSH YOU!" he shouted angrily.
"Finally, it's one-to-one!" Luffy shouted, ready for this final battle against Bullet.
A smirk appeared on Bullet's face. "You're awfully cocky! You think I can't win in a fist fight?!" Bullet coated his arms in his armament haki. "I hope you got something to show!"
"You don't have to keep reminding me that you're strong! It doesn't matter anyway! I'm still going to surpass you!" Luffy rushed the powerful pirate. "All of my friends are here!" Bullet narrowed his eyes as their haki-infused fists collided with each other. "And they're counting on me!"
"Your friends?!" Bullet exclaimed as the two pirates started to exchange blows with neither one giving an inch. "There's no room for friends on the battlefield! You need conviction and faith in yourself! That's the only thing that can save you out here!" Bullet pushed Luffy back a couple of feet. Unrelenting, Luffy rushed towards Bullet again, only to get punched in the face and sent crashing to the ground below. "That's why you'll never defeat me!"
Luffy popped out of the smoke and rushed towards Bullet again. Seeing this, Bullet covered his whole body with haki, ready to meet the challenge. "I wield the greatest power on these seas! I am the world's strongest man! And that's why I am the King of the Pirates!"
"Even if you're strong, you don't get it at all!" Luffy shouted. "I'LL JUST HAVE TO SHOW YOU!"
"I'M GONNA BURY YOU, BOY!"
"GUM-GUM KING KONG…"
"DET STERKESTE…"
"GATLING!" Luffy fired a fury of punches at Bullets.
"STRIKE!" Bullet fired his own fury of punches as the fists started to collide with each other. The two pirates let out battle cries as their fists started to go faster and faster with neither side backing down for a second. "The only reason that I've gotten this far is because I've learned to rely on myself on these seas! That's all you can do!" Then one of Bullet's punches connected with Luffy's face, stopping his fury
"SHUT UP!" Luffy yelled, glaring at Bullet. "YOU NEVER WOULD'VE MADE THIS FAR IF YOU WERE REALLY ALONE! YOU FORGOT WHO HELPED YOU!"
Bullet widens his eyes, remembering the time that he battled Gold Rodger and his vow to him after he lost. Then one of Luffy's fists struck Bullet in the face. As the pirate was about to strike back, Luffy unleashed a fury of punches on Bullet, leaving him no room to counter.
"I'M GOING TO BE THE KING OF PIRATES!" Luffy yelled, striking Bullet hard in the face. "DO YOU HEAR ME!?" Luffy knocked Bullet down, sending the pirate crashing down the ground below. Everyone on the island looked on in the closing moments, some were happy while others were shocked that the strongest pirate in the world was defeated. Luffy was breathing heavily as air finally rushed out of his body and he crashed down to the ground.
"Luffy!" Hancock shouted, worryingly rushed towards the Straw Hat. "Tell me if you're alright!"
"Well, I got the treasure." Luffy said, taking out a small treasure chest. A big grin appeared on his face, knowing what that meant. "So, I guess we won the game." The giant wall of dirt surrounding the island crumpled away as both pirates and marines celebrated Luffy's victory.
Buena Vista backed up on his wooden desk in shock, seeing his associate get defeated by the Straw Hat. "It can't be happening…" he said, as he fell to his knees and hit his head on the wooden deck. He looked up, trying to figure out what to do now that Bullet has lost.
"Luffy, what is this box?" Hancock said, looking at the treasure box on Luffy's lap.
"The Pirate King's treasure." Luffy said, opening the box. "I have no idea what's inside though." He looked inside to see what was inside it. "Oh, it's one of these things." He pulled out an Eternal Pose with the words "Laugh Tale" engraved on it.
A gasp left Hancock's mouth when she saw what was engraved on the pose. "I can't believe my eyes." She said, "That's an Eternal Pose to Laugh Tale!"
"To Laugh Tale?" Luffy said, looking at the warlord shocked.
"This is it, Luffy! You found the way!" Then Luffy felt something charging towards him, causing him to stand up. "What is it?"
"Hand it over, Straw Hat!" Crocodile shouted, appearing behind Luffy with his sand. "That's mine!" Luffy turned towards the pirate with the Eternal Pose in hand, holding it as if he was going to break it. Then an arrow made of energy shot through the object, destroying in the Straw Hat's hand and shocking all of those in the area.
"What the hell!?" Law exclaimed. He looked at the direction where the arrow came from as the sound of clapping filled the area.
"Bravo." A voice said, getting everyone's attention as they watched a figure walking towards them. He was a man wearing a pair of glasses on his head, an odd white uniform with a leopard printed vest underneath, blond hair, and leopard spots on the right side of his face. "What a performance. Then again, I shouldn't expect less from one of his majesty's targets. The infamous "Straw Hat" Monkey D. Luffy." Luffy turned towards the man with a glare on his face, feeling some bad vibes coming from the stranger.

There you have it. The first chapter of the revamped version of the Straw Hats vs. the Sternritters. This was originally Chapters 1 and 2. But I've decided to combine them because I've something else planned for Chapter 2, which was supposed to be Chapter 3. I didn't really plan this story out as well as I thought I did, so that's my stupidity showing, and I apologize for that. I also want to apologize for taking forever to get back to this. There was so much happening with my life, so I've put this on the back burner. Also, my laptop is running low on space, so I had to move everything to google drive. I also had to rethink my plans for this story, and I think you guys would like it. Now there should be no more excuses going forward. This project has been a long time coming, and I want to see this to the end. Thank you all for waiting. You won't have to much longer the next chapter. Until next time, see ya.
