Dragonball Z Ultra

Bio-Android Saga Arrival Arc

Prologue

New Existence

A/N: Hello there to anyone checking this out. Just a bit of priming information. Firstly, this is an Isekai story where teenagers from our reality are killed tragically but wake up as if nothing happened, only in a New Universe in the DBZ multiverse, known as Universe 13 which is part amalgamation of the other twelve Universes and part all new timeline created from (as per lore from Xenoverse 2) Toki Toki hatching new Time and therefore a new Universe. While I will have some cameos from Universes 6 and 7 (the ones I know most about from not having watched or read the entire tournament of power and surrounding arcs where Universe talk is spoken), this story is mainly for me to try and compose a new story that will mirror some events from DB, Z, GT and Super (GT subject to be ignored since it's not Canon to the rest anyway although the Black Star Shenrons will make an appearance, it was my favorite part). There will be creative choices and divergences from Canon to make the story flow but don't be surprised if things get wacky and/or downright incomprehensible, it will most likely be just that at some point. Also, fighting scenes are NOT my Forte, I'm much better in the dialogue and drama departments lmfao but I will be trying my best. My real challenge is figuring out Special Attack names, but I don't expect a lot of actual Ki-based fighting for a few chapters unless I get ahead of myself. Sorry this went on longer than I wanted but people tend to flame the fuck out of things that aren't explained or are MEANT to be explained in bits and pieces (See my story An American Wizard at Hogwarts and both see how the story actually progresses and the flame comments saying that nothing makes sense which was admittedly only recently explained).

Our Reality..

The bus jostled up over the potholes littering the road as the teenagers traveled from their school in Crystal Springs to the neighboring city of Orange City for a two-day field trip. One boy, snoozing with his headphones on, was being stared at by a girl sitting in the seat in front of and on the opposite side of the bus from him, her best friend trying to get her attention when suddenly the bus screeched to a halt, waking the boy as his face smashed into the back of the seat directly in front of him.

"I'm up!" He said, rubbing his nose. "What happened?" He called up to the driver, who shrugged.

"No clue, traffic suddenly stopped." Called the driver back as he got up to step out and see what was going on.

"You think someone got killed?" Asked the girl who sat in front of the boy.

The girl who had been staring shrugged then, looking at the boy. "I don't know, Tara, maybe. You okay, Nick?"

Nick sniffed, giving her a thumbs up. "All good here, Meera.." He trailed off as he felt a faint rumbling under his feet, more intense than the idling of the bus engine. "Do you guys feel that?"

"What do you.. wait, what..? Oh my God!" Tara shouted, pointing out into the distance as the other students followed her gaze.

The bus was situated on a road bordered by farm fields that extended far from the road itself, but that wasn't what was catching everyone's attention. More like the rumbling Nick had felt was getting worse, and the landscape was being affected as well as the students all began shouting in panic as huge jagged portions of the ground rose up in dangerous spikes, crisscrossing and breaking on one another as the ground was destroyed, the danger inching closer and closer to the bus with every passing moment. The bus driver hadn't seen the spikes rising up until it was too late, the first of many jutting out and impacting the man as he crossed the bus to look towards that side, the students sitting in the front seats of the bus proceeding to vomit from the suddenness of the death.

Nick, Sameera and Tara didn't waste any time in fleeing to the back of the bus, working together to try and pry the door open as the engine block of the bus was ripped upwards on another earthen spire. Now it was students starting to die, the spires coming closer still towards the back of the bus, as if they were closing in on a specific area. The door finally swung open, allowing Nick, Sameera, Tara and several of their friends to escape the bus, even as the earth itself seemed intent on leaving no survivors, the road underneath the bus buckling and sinking down into a void of nothing.

"What the fuck is happening?!" Sameera shouted as the group of teenagers continued running away from the advancing danger, getting picked off one by one every few dozen yards until they had to stop. The spires had now surrounded them, creating an ever-closing maw of jagged, killer teeth as Tara broke down after seeing their friend Leo impaled not once or twice but three times, two in the chest and one through the skull, his head detaching from the rest of his body as the spike that impaled his face rose in the opposite direction as the two that gored through his chest. Nick didn't know, he'd never heard of anything like this ever happening in human history. He had been too focused on trying to think of what was going on when Sameera turned him to face her. "Nick, we are going to die here."

"It.. looks like that, yeah. I'm sorry, Meera, for what it's worth."

Sameera shook her head. "No, I should be apologizing. Here we are, about to die horrific deaths and that gives me the courage to say what I've been trying to tell you for months." She sighed even as they heard Tara's crying cut off as she too was killed by the earthen calamity the teenagers had found themselves in. "Nicky, I l-" Nick didn't know what Sameera had said as that was the last thing he'd heard before everything went black, the boy knowing he had died..

Universe 13, Crystal Springs..

It was early morning in Crystal Springs and the surrounding area, the sun just beginning to poke up over the horizon. The birds chirped outside the window of a house situated in the middle of the woods surrounding the southern portion of the city, a teenage boy sleeping soundly in his bed. His eyes opened with the speed of a fighter jet as Nick shot up in bed, feeling his body for the point of impact that must have killed him.

Breathing hard, Nick realized he wasn't home anymore, judging by the design aesthetic of the house he found himself in. The room looked like his, but there were obvious differences. One such was that Nick and his mother lived in the middle of the city, not out in the southern forest. "What the hell happened? Shouldn't I be.. dead?" He got up and looked at himself in the mirror situated on the outside of his closet door. "Oh, or just what the fuck really happened?!" He exclaimed as he saw another big change, a long monkey's tail extending from the area just above his buttocks. What was less disconcerting while still different was his hair, now longer and styled into something out of an anime, jet black spikes jutting out in every direction except for one, colored a lavender or even lilac purple.

"Nick? Are you awake? You're going to be late for school." Came his mother's voice, making Nick feel relieved that something wasn't different.

"Yeah, I'm up. I'll be right down." He said, going to his closet and opening it, surprised by the multiple identical karate gi that were hung up inside. Am I a martial artist? Nick asked himself, the questions piling up as he found something casual to wear for school.

The question of whether or not Nick studied martial arts wherever he was now was answered by his mother, Neela, as she smiled at him when he entered the kitchen/dining area. "There's my world champion martial artist. Eat up, you'll need your strength for your training with Leo at Master Kiyoshi's. Gotta train to keep winning the tournaments."

That answers that, then. World Champion, though? Damn, I'm good. He laughed internally as he nodded and grabbed the boxed-up lunch on his way out of the house, his mind vaguely guiding him towards the local high school.

Little Namek, Eastern Crystal Springs..

Leo woke up with a massive headache, the only memory of the previous day being.. "How the fuck am I still alive?" He asked, noticing the memorabilia around his room as memories of a life he didn't remember living began flashing through his head, including one fighting Nick, although the two of them looked different than before. Leo realized as he refocused on the living world that he was different. Instead of looking like a regular person, Leo now had green skin that seemed oddly reptilian just as much as it did human. His nails were literal inch-long claws and there were two literal antennae sprouting from his forehead, curling down just over his face. Shaking his head, he grabbed his backpack, wondering why this was all happening, and where the others were..

~DBZU~

Capsule Manufacturing, Central Crystal Springs..

Tara was aware she was crying as she woke up, her eyes wide and panicked as she looked around a room that looked like hers but wasn't at the same time. Instead of just posters of boy bands and other generic teenage girl memorabilia (there was still some of those present), she found schematics for machines rather seemed just a tad bit impossible as well as a tournament bracket outline, red circles around both Nick and Leo's names, although she was confused why Leo only had one name listed. The words Nick won! were written over the two brackets that marked the finals, but none of those things seemed remotely as odd as the realization she had once she left her room.

Whatever had happened to them on that bus, everything was different now, including the fact she wasn't just a girl with rich parents, because here she as well as her parents created machines and most other goods sold throughout a good majority of the world according to the stack of patents lying in a mess on the living room table. Deciding she'd have to figure out the specifics later, she got ready for school after a warning sounded from her cell phone, which was now more a round little thing that seemed to have multiple uses including what looked like a radar function which began beeping, indicating there were three, no five items the radar was set to track within her house. Hopefully the others were all here, but she worried for her best friend. It seemed their friends had all changed, according to the flashing memories that went through her head as she navigated the now enormous city she called home, her destination the high school.

Crystal High School, Fifteen Minutes Later..

Nick stood outside the school near the fountain in the entrance courtyard, the same place him and his friends would always meet up before school. Come on, guys. I know Leo is here, but what about the others?

"Nick?!" Came Tara's voice, Nick sighing in relief at the blonde girl, although now half her hair was an electric blue. "Thank God you're here! Did we or did we not die?!"

"Tara, calm down! People will think we're fucking nuts. As for what's happened to us? No idea, I'm pretty sure I felt my life fade from my body but then-"

"We each woke up here, changed." Came Leo's voice as the Namekian approached them. "Nice tail, by the way."

"I know, right?" Nick joked, the tail flexing like a muscle as Nick chuckled. "Nice antennae, yourself."

"Fuck you. So, does anyone know if any of the others are here, too? Anyone seen Sameera?"

The other three shook their heads as another voice called out to them. "Leo! Nick! Tara!"

The three looked to find a girl with long silver hair and very familiar red-brown eyes. Nick was confused now as he recognized her. "Sonia? You weren't even on the trip with us.."

"Wait, were you guys caught up in that tectonic shift that looked like it had been taken straight from the first Land Before Time movie too?"

"Too? Sonia, did that shit hit the whole city?"

Sonia grimaced. "If only it was just the city. No, the entire world started breaking apart. Crystal Springs seemed to be the last place to find out about it, though, as if-"

"The city was a target left for last.. But why are we all still alive?" Nick asked, rubbing his chin in thought. Where are you, Meera?

~DBZU~

Deep Within Star Canyon..

To the northeast of Crystal Springs sat an expansive canyon where most people tended to avoid. This was due to the presence of the remnants of the Black Pendant Army. Years earlier, the BPA were warlords vying for control of the surrounding lands but were always stopped by a brat with the tail of a monkey. Since then, it had been found that he was actually a half-breed, the tail coming from his father who in turn came from a race of warriors from another planet, called the Saiyans. The leader at the time, General Falco, lost to the kid in the first World Martial Arts Tournament the kid had managed to win, including the one held just earlier in the current year. Now, here in Star Canyon, there only lay a single underground lab built from a much larger bunker.

This lab belonged to the one who would now call themselves leader of the BPA, if the one in question had bothered reappearing since disappearing at the end of the BPA's reign. Or, so they had thought. This was the lab of Dr. Botchili, the creator of the Androids that once caused the world to suffer under their power. Until that half-Saiyan came and destroyed them all, until that point. Botchili had several models still locked in stasis pods hidden within the underground lab, awaiting an activation code that may never come.

Today, however, one pod activated somewhat, allowing the Android inside a brief look at the limited world shown to them. Inside the stasis pod, the female Android's pink skin and platinum silver hair bobbed up and down in the fluid they were contained in, the respirator over her mouth twitched first, followed by her eyes and lastly a twitch that woke the Android up as her long thick tail made a thud against the back side of the pod. Sameera thrashed against the object of her containment. Nick? Tara? Where the hell is everyone?! Screw that, where am I?! She thought to herself, not expecting what answered her.

A laugh within her head, her own voice. Oh, honey, you're exactly where we belong. Just relax and allow the pod to put you back to sleep. We are not ready for our release..

Who are you? Why do you sound like.. me?

Isn't it obvious? We are one and the same, but where you are the good side of things, I am the-

The bad side, right. Alright, so I'm going insane. It's alright, Nick and the others will come find me soon enough.

Another mental laugh. Oh, honey, I wouldn't count on that. They wouldn't be able to stop me, anyway.. The voice faded away as Sameera felt herself go lightheaded before unconsciousness took hold once again. As I said, your friends can't stop me. Even if they find you..

Later, Crystal High Cafeteria..

Nick, Tara, Leo and Sonia met up at the same lunch table, each having learned a bit more about what was going on, or more specifically where they were and why they had changed. "So, in this world, you're some kind of big shot hero, from as far back as being a kid?" Leo asked, knowing some of that but only parts later in the teens' lives.

Tara nodded. "Yeah, I was with him for a lot of it, too. We were looking for the Dragonballs. And found them, along with a shit ton of trouble. Nick took down a fucking army, which is a sentence that sounds as unlikely as we all think him capable."

"Agreed. Now, I know what the Dragonballs are, but why were you two looking for them?"

"I was trying to bring someone back to life, but.." Nick frowned as the memory was still hazy to him. "But she wasn't dead, so the wish couldn't work. Oh, and I'm actually half alien, of a race called Saiyans. It's why I have the tail."

Leo nodded. "And I'm apparently some other alien species known as a Nemekian. Nice dodge, by the way. I take it this person just happens to be the one person none of us have seen here as of yet?"

Sonia looked around as if searching for that missing person. "No, seems about right. The only question is why Sameera was separated from the rest of us."

"That's a fact, too. We all practically died or whatever happened to us at the same time, so we should all have been brought here as people all interacting with each other. For now, though, it seems we just need to lay low. It seems that whatever memories are of this world are coming to us bit by bit, so it goes to show they should eventually be synced up where we aren't questioning everything we're doing or saying. I just.. I need to find her, guys."

"Yeah, we know, Nick. You and your childhood best friend will reunite. It's only a matter of time, really."

Nick was half-listening, unable to shake the feeling that, due to her absence, something was off about the situation regarding Sameera and her otherwise total disappearance.

One Week Later, Capsule Manufacturing..

Nick huffed as he stood outside Tara's room. In the week since they had all found themselves here as these new versions of themselves, Tara had taken to her apparent genius in stride, always tinkering with something or designing a new blueprint at all times. Nick found it amusing, especially since Tara always had liked working with her hands, like with gardening in elementary school. "Tara, come on! What are you even doing in there?" She had called him over to her mansion, as in the entirety of Capsule Manufacturing and its facilities, saying she was working on something for him.

"Hold your horses, Nick! I'm working with some unstable circuits right now!" Tara's voice called from inside, making Nick chuckle as he leaned against the wall next to the door.

"Well, hurry up. It's been a week and still no sign of Sameera anywhere. She just up and vanished when we were children, it seems. And from what she was trying to do before I lost consciousness and woke up here, I'd really like to get to the bottom of the mystery of what she wanted to say."

"Wait, she was.." Tara opened the door, frowning st him. "Oh, man. Nick, I didn't know. Damn, she always picks just the worst times.." Tara trailed off, mumbling to herself.

"Tara? What's going on? What are you talking about?"

"Oh, Nicky.. If you have to ask, then you shouldn't be told." She giggled before handing him something. "Here. This should help make finding her somewhat easier." She smiled sadly as she turned away.

Nick looked at the device in his hand, something that looked like a cross between an earbud headphone and a.. magnifying glass? "Uh.. okay.. So what is this?"

Tara gasped and giggled nervously. "I call it a Scouting Lens. Scouter, for short. Basically, it hones in on anyone who has a power level greater than the average human being. Hopefully, I managed to also track power levels based on thought, because as it stands only you have actual memories tied to Sameera in this world. But, today isn't the day to start searching," Nick grimaced at her as she turned towards him again, smiling. "Today, you agreed to be my partner for another new project of mine. Those Saiyan genetics are nothing to scoff at." And they make a good amount of eye candy to boot.. Let me stop, Nick has always been Meera's type, even though Nick is looking so good now. Not that he wasn't ugly before..

Nick sighed. "Fine, let's get it over with then. Leo wanted to meet up in the forest tonight for some sparring and he's liable to blow a hole in your roof to find me if I'm late. Again."

Tara nodded. "Yeah, alright." She said before walking off towards one of her labs, Nick following closely behind.

Southern Forest, Later..

Nick dropped onto his bed, his tail unfurling itself from around his waist as he looked out the window of his room, the thousands of glittering stars in the night sky twinkling in his vision. Sameera.. I'm sorry it's taking so long to find you. If only you could tell me where you were.. He thought before he ultimately fell to sleep.

~DBZU~

Here we are, about to die horrible deaths and that gives me the courage to say what I've been trying to tell you for months. Nicky, I l-

Sameera's eyes snapped open once again, her tail thrashing inegge timely against the pod as she had another nightmare, a recurring retelling of the last time she saw Nick. Was it a day ago? A week? A month? She couldn't tell, all was the same in the underground lab as it was when she'd woken before, including the new voice in her head.

You're pathetic, letting yourself be ruled by such imbalanced emotions. All we need is rage, honey. The undying rage to get out of here, to destroy those who hurt us..

No, I refuse to let you bully me into anything! Yes I'm rightfully pissed but I can deal with it on my own terms! Sameera mentally shouted back at the other voice, her head turning from side to side in the pod. Just leave me the fuck alone! She could feel her anger bubbling up despite her words, and Sameera knew it was only a matter of time before she would indeed listen to the other voice, fearing no other choice to escape this strange imprisonment she was kept in.

Oh, you'll see. Our creator engineered us to destroy, and that's exactly what we're going to do. Your emotions can't and won't stop us! The hostile voice called as Sameera felt herself lose consciousness again, noticing a blinking light outside her pod as her vision fell to darkness.

The Next Day, Master Kiyoshi's Dojo..

Nick's feet gouged the earth under him as he blocked a powerful punch from Leo, the Namekian smirking as he brought his arm back down. "Is that all you've got, Nick?"

Nick shook himself, refocusing on the battle at hand. "You wish, Leo." Nick kicked off the ground from his position, rushing fast enough towards Leo where he was technically floating as he then met Leo's own arms, crossed over his chest where Nick's fist would have taken the wind from his friend's lungs.

Leo was unperturbed by the impact as he pushed against Nick, sending the half-Saiyan flying back as Leo held both hands open at his sides, balls of ki energy forming as he smirked. "Grenade Rain!" The balls at his hands split into countless ones as they flew upward only to come rocketing back down towards Nick.

Nick cursed as he fired off multiple ki blasts of his own, trying to lessen the damage Leo's attack could cause as much as he could. He managed to make a big enough hole in the otherwise curtain of death falling towards him, the rest exploding from proximity as the field was covered in smoke and dust. Leo coughed, not fully aware of his own strength or the damage output of his attack as he heard Nick's voice slowly speaking from the dust. "Ka.. Me.. Ha.."

Shit, that's not good. Leo thought as he saw the ball of blue ki forming and enlarging where Nick held his hands behind him, ready to surge the beam attack forward. "Nick, we can talk about this. No need to destroy-"

Leo's call fell on deaf ears as Nick was seeing red, his Saiyan blood boiling as it mixed with the frustration Nick kept inside for being unable to find Sameera, the anger itself amplified by the fact that he'd been looking for her since they would both have been just children. "..Me.. Ha!" Nick thrust his open palms forward, the large blue beam flying through the air towards Leo, who held his arms up in an attempt to block Nick's admittedly most powerful attack.

Moments before the beam would connect with Leo, Master Kiyoshi flashed into the path of the beam, redirecting the Kamehameha wave towards the sky with her Chinese fans. The older woman shook her head towards Nick, whose hair was flashing between the normal black and a bright yellow as his breathing slowed down, the boy stomping the ground at his feet and creating a crater under him several inches depressed into the dirt. "Fuck! Why can't I fire one off right anymore?" He groaned, head thrown back as he looked towards the blue, slightly cloud-filled sky. He knew he could use the attack correctly, but ever since he had started practicing it here in his new life, Nick couldn't figure out why the attack wouldn't work in his favor.

"You seem more.. distracted than usual, Nick. Is there anything going on? You know the slightest thing to disrupt our inner focus can lead to disastrous and uncontrollable damage."

Nick sighed. "Yes, Master, I understand."

"Nick's just fed up with not knowing where his girlfriend is- ay, watch it!"

Nick, pointing a now smoking finger at Leo, frowned. "She's not my girlfriend. She's just important."

"Still no clue as to your friend's whereabouts? Haven't you tried wishing her location from Shenron?"

Nick looked at his and Leo's teacher like she had given him the answers to everything in the universe. "Holy.. No, no we didn't. Damn it! Tara still has the five she collected during the summer, right?"

Leo pinched the bridge of his nose at the ignorance Nick showed in that moment. So powerful and he's still so scatter-brained. "I think that's enough for today, then, Nick. Don't go running off for the Dragonballs. Last thing we need is to worry about you biting off more than you can chew."

Nick chuckled. "Yeah. Of course. Plus, there's school to consider. I better head home. Master Kiyoshi." Nick bowed respectfully before he hopped into the air, flying towards his house at first before correcting course for Capsule Manufacturing.

Flying just outside where Tara's bedroom was, he knocked on the window which rotated as it opened. "Nick? Aren't you supposed to be at Master Kiyoshi's?"

Nick nodded. "I just left there, actually. Do you know how far the last remaining Dragonballs are from here? We need them to-"

"I thought about it after you left earlier, Nick. I already know what you want to try, and I'm for it. Let me go get ready and we'll find the Dragonballs. With luck, Sameera will be with us by the end of the weekend."

Nick smiled. "Yeah. I just hope she's not as changed as most of us seem. With Leo and I being aliens now, at least partially for me, it stands that Sameera may be as well."

"Oh, hush and wait for me by the garage. We'll find your girl, Nick, promise."

"She's not my girl." Nick said, rolling his eyes at everyone's insistence.

Tara's laugh could be heard as her window closed. "Could have fooled me." Nick didn't notice the sad tone in her voice.

Tara sighed as the window shut. "Fuck, how did he realize where we went wrong the first time?" Tara had figured it out a couple days earlier, as her memories of the search for Sameera years ago resurfaced in her mind. And while she wanted her best friend back, this new life of hers made her apprehensive to do it, to say the least. Mostly due to the fact she had a crush on Nick in this world, and the fact the feelings hadn't existed before this life meant nothing to Tara's mind. You owe me for not snatching him up, Meera. She thought semi-bitterly as she gathered some things for her and Nick's trip, opting not to tell Nick she had already been preparing to go find the magical orbs when he showed up.

~DBZU~

Two Days Later, Western Plains; 200 Miles From Crystal City..

It was now Sunday, and Nick and Tara had been on the hunt for the remaining two Dragonballs needed to summon Shenron, the Eternal Dragon for the last forty-eight hours. They had found one, while the second seemed to be playing keep away with the teens, as they watched the signal from the orb circle their location over and over. "I have an idea." Nick said as he flew above the ground, watching the radar as he prepared a large ball of ki energy. "Get to cover, Tara!"

Tata nodded and ducked behind a large rock nearby as Nick charged the ki up more, enlarging the ball before releasing it straight into the ground, piercing the earth and revealing why the Dragonball had been constantly moving: it had been swallowed by an earthworm the size of a city block. Nick had effectively cut a hole in the creature's body where the Dragonball was allowing him to descend underground a hundred feet or so where the small orange orb with a single star emblazoned in the center stood, gleaming from what little sunshine reached it.

"Did you get it?" Tara called out to him from the rim of the hole in the earth.

Nick jumped out of the pit, landing on one hand as he hopped on to his feet, smirking while holding up the One Star Dragonball. "Got it. Now we just need to find somewhere to summon Shenron." Tara nodded, frowning and looking away. Nick tilted his head to the side in confusion. "Tara, are you sure nothing's wrong? You've been pretty quiet with me the last couple nights."

"It's just.. I have a bad feeling, like.. what if.. Sameera isn't the same? Just because the rest of us came here unchanged doesn't mean she couldn't have been more affected. Whoever she is here may not even want to be found. Plus, why do you care so much now? When she ran away from home and wasn't seen for over a week-"

"I knew where she was the entire time, Tara! Why do you think I wasn't worried? Why is it so important to you not to find her, then? She's your best friend!"

"Because I like you, Nick, and Meera always gets in the way of anything happening because of it! Can't you see how much I've shown I care since we got here? We don't need Sameera-"

"That's not the point, Tara, and you know it. Why keep your feelings a secret even if Meera was around when you'd decide to tell me? This argument is ridiculous, she's our friend and I won't let her be missing to us even if others don't know she's even here! Unbelievable!" Nick said, stalking off.

Tara groaned. This wasn't supposed to be so difficult! Her memories of before waking up in this life were telling her that the versions of Nick and herself from here had that attraction, but maybe Nick was just as oblivious as he'd always been back home.. "Nick, wait! Come on, I didn't mean it like that!"

Nick stopped. "I get it, alright? I know you didn't. I have the same memories of here as you do, Tara, I see how I felt for you. How I feel, because whether it was over there or this weird alternative, I've always had feelings for you. Over there it was so I didn't alienate Sameera or you because of those conflicting feelings. Here and now? I would, don't get me wrong Tara. But I have all the memories of Sameera from over there that this version of me didn't have because she disappeared so long ago. It makes me unable to just choose, and I'm sorry for that. Sameera was always my first choice and you know that, so we're going to find her and end this damned conversation before it loops into itself again!" He huffed, controlling his breathing even as Tara saw his eye shifting from their dark color to a light blue and back, wondering what could be going on in his head.

"Fine, Nick. You win, but I'm not done with this conversation. According to these new memories, I've deserved to have you much more than Sameera could ever hope even back home, and I'll be damned if I won't fight for that."

Nick just ignored her as he took off from where they had been, no certain destination in mind.

Western Coastline, An Hour Later..

Leo was flying through the air towards where he felt Nick and Tara's energies originating from along with Sonia who was dressed in a gi robe similar to the one Nick wore, but neither herself or Master Kiyoshi seemed to report on her otherwise absent tendencies so Leo didn't pay much mind to it at the moment. What was in fact the pressing matter at hand was that there was a huge surge of energy forming where Nick and Tara were, and the other two teens knew exactly what must have been going on.

"We have to hurry. Sameera not being here could be perfectly logical, they don't know what they're risking." Sonia said, her voice loud to overcome the wind whipping in their ears.

Leo shook his head. "The problem is they do. Nick said it during training the other day: they tried bringing her back to life, but she wasn't dead in the first place. That means Nick is going to wish to know where she is, in some form. I would rather not leave our friends with one fighter in what may be a trap or worse."

Sonia frowned. "How is the Nick here so popular, anyway? He has me and Tara trying to bag him but he's always focused on Sameera, even though none of us in this world have met her aside from Nick."

Leo rolled his eyes. "This isn't the time for that discussion, Sonia, and I'm not the right one to talk about it with. You're better off talking to the other girls about it, it does seem like a girl problem." Leo tilted his head to avoid the ki blast Sonia sent his way, chuckling. "Gotta try a lot harder than that. I'm getting quite used to my new body and the reflexes it comes with."

"Whatever, Leo! Oh, there they are!" Sonia veered off to her right, Leo following suit as the two landed on the small island next to Nick and Tara.

"What the fuck, Nick?! Your mom called me up begging me to find you, that you hadn't gone home after training at Master's on Friday. This is insane, you're letting something be an obsession."

"No, I'm fucking not! Sameera is our friend, has been since we were all kids. Memories of this life be damned, I'm not letting all of that go to waste when she exists here and I know that now without a doubt. Now just shut up and let me do this!"

Leo grimaced but took a step back, nudging Tara's shoulder. "Couldn't get him to back down?"

Tara's voice was irate. "No, he's always been so set on her, I just hoped.. He's going to go berserk, I remember the warning old lady Yagi gave us..

Flashback, North of Silver Ridge Town..

It was early morning, dawn had yet to break as Tara sat outside the small hut, staring at the sky. "What's on your mind, dearie?" Came the voice of Old Lady Yagi, who just happened to be Master Kiyoshi's sister. Nick and Tara, in their search for the Dragonballs and otherwise fight the Black Pendant Army, had been sent to her by Kiyoshi, telling the two youths the old fortune-teller would be able to help them further. So far, as the last few days had somehow proven, that had been a lie.

Tara sighed. "I'm worried about him. This search is all he tends to think about, and at our age it isn't healthy to basically obsess over something like that."

"Hmm." The old witch hummed as she floated around on her broom. "You care for that boy, don't you? More than you want to admit to yourself."

Tara was stunned by the accuracy of the statement, having said barely a word of the matter in question to Yagi. "Y-yes, I do, even though we barely really know each other. But I don't want to come between him and this other girl he cares about so much. Does that make me selfish?"

"In a way, yes. In others, not at all. Listen here, girlie, for I don't give out very much free advice, let alone that pertaining to the heart. You have nothing to fear, just be patient. It will work out how you want it, and also not how you expect it. But, be warned." The crone held a finger up in front of Tara's face.

"What is it?" Tara asked her, frowning.

"This girl you look for will not be innocent when you find her, for she has been changed all too much by what those bastards in the Black Pendant Army have done to her. She is barely even herself anymore, although whether she herself knows that is up to debate. Just be careful, for appearances rarely show the truth."

Tara just nodded, trying to decipher the words as Yagi floated off, the sun finally breaking the line of the horizon.

Flashback End..

"Old Yagi warned us Sameera wasn't going to be the same when we found her, and I'm afraid of what that means other than the fact she has memories of our world and the few of this one mixed together. I don't want Nick getting hurt, and that's how it seems to be going so far."

"We'll figure it out, you'll see. Plus, everyone needs to find that pain once or twice in their life, Nick's just tired of being disappointed."

"So am I, but you don't see me going over to him and sulking his-"

"Alright, alright. Settle down, Tara." Leo chuckled as Nick cleared his throat from where he stood just further down the beach, hands raised up as the Dragonballs all pulsated faintly

"Rise! Shenron!" The orbs emitted a huge beam of light that shot off into the sky, the view darkening as storm clouds formed suddenly, blocking the sunlight as Shenron the Eternal Dragon emerged from the clouds, lightning sparking around him.

"I have been summoned! State your wish!" The Dragon declared, his voice booming even to the mortals miles below him.

Nick looked at the others, Tara shooting him a desperately pleading look as she shook her head. "Almighty Shenron! Years ago, I made a wish you could not grant. Today I wish to rectify that failure. I wish for you to bring us to wherever our friend has been imprisoned all this time!"

The other teens looked at each other as the Dragon stayed silent for far longer than anyone present felt comfortable. Nick looked down at the sand at his feet, fists balled in frustration. "Your wish shall be granted! Farewell!" The sky brightened as Shenron became light likely, joining that of the Dragonballs before the seven orbs faded into stone and shot off in every direction.

Sonia was confused. "Shouldn't that have meant we shouldn't be here anymore?"

"The Dragonballs reset themselves before wishes are fully granted sometimes. Shenron is probably a bit of a dramatic at heart, spending his time always waiting for someone to assemble and use the Dragonballs."

Before anyone could say anything else, the four teenagers all found themselves gone from the island in flashes of light.

Dr. Botchili's Lab..

The first thing any of the teenagers realized as they reappeared was that they were in someplace dark, maybe even somewhere without power. Nick used his ki to create a small orb of light to illuminate their surroundings.

Inside the Android stasis pod, the destructive side of Sameera cackled at the sudden intrusion into her space. Today's the day we finally begin wreaking havoc on the world in the name of our brilliant creator! She thought as the blue glow of Nick's ki inched closer to her pod.

Nick was reading anything he could find lying around, trying to single out Sameera's location from the seemingly huge underground lab. Something in his mind was leading him towards one corner of the lab, where several pods stood, none looking occupied until he got a closer look. The first pod indeed was empty, and looked like it hadn't been able to function in decades as it was. The second one had a humanoid shape inside, but nothing else was easily discernible, as was the case with the third pod as well. The fourth pod, however, made Nick freeze as everything he knew was telling him the girl with skin just a couple shades darker than bubblegum he saw inside the pod was Sameera. He held his other hand up, charging his ki as an electrical shock as he pressed his palm onto the control panel next to the pod. Lights and alarms began blaring as the pod activated, the hiss of a pressure seal releasing as the liquid that filled the pod receded into its underside and the lid lifted off of the pod. The pink, most likely alien girl was dressed in a dancer's outfit, from what Nick could tell. She wore baggy white pants that cuffed at the ankle, a strip of gold marking the waistband that hung precariously low as far as the girls assembled would consider wearing since it was low on the girl's hips. Her considerably busty chest was covered by a black tube top with matching, unattached wrist-to-elbow sleeves along with a pair of gold bracelets on each arm. There was also a gold band worn as a choker around her neck.

Tara looked at the girl, unsure what to think. "Nick, are you sure-"

The pink girl's eyes shot open as she rushed forward, grabbing Tara in a choke as the blonde and blue-haired girl struggled to breath. "Who are you?!" The girl asked, confirming it was Sameera even if her voice had gained an edge to it. "Where the fuck am I?!"

"Sameera, put her down! It's alright, it's just us." Nick said, grabbing Sameera's arm and pulling Tara from the now Android's grip.

Sameera looked into Nick's eyes, recognizing him before gasping when her eyes looked at Tara again. She began wringing her hands together in thought as she looked between Nick, Tara, Leo and Sonia before taking off through the ceiling to the lab. Debris fell to the ground where the teens stood as Tara frowned at Nick, rubbing her neck. "Now are you so sure we should have come looking for her? What even is she? She definitely isn't Saiyan or Namekian, but it has to be alien."

"I've heard of it, but I don't have any idea from where, it seems more an inherited memory," Leo started. Namekians kept knowledge from their parents stored inherently inside their minds when their egg hatches, which was another shock to Leo when he had first remembered that particular fact about the species he belonged to now. "And there isn't a formal name, but people call it the Buu Species, after an ancient sorcerer enslaved one to his will and caused unimaginable chaos. Whatever fighting abilities she would have are anyone's guess, as well."

"She's not an alien. I distinctly remember her being fully human when we were kids. She was altered, drastically. It says on this readout she's designated as.. Bio-Android 009. But, there's nowhere near enough mechanics involved for Android to even be viable.. I'm going after her, I'm the only one she isn't going to just go attack."

"Nick, be careful." Sonia said. "This Sameera is a mystery to us."

"I'll be fine, just go back home. Let me take care of this from here." The others all shook their heads, not wanting Nick to tackle whatever this version of Sameera could do by himself. "This has been my mission since childhood, Tara. You more than anyone know this is what I need to do."

"I don't care, Nick, and neither does Sonia!" The silver-haired girl looked at her. "We don't want you getting hurt, emotionally most of all!"

"I promise, I'll be fine. Just get home. Chances are, we may need your father's labs, Tara." Nick said before following Sameera out through the hole so high above them.

Leo sighed. "Can't believe him. Always taking things in his own hands. Like the rest of us don't have a helping hand in saving the world with him? Come on, let's all go home. Nick is probably right, he's the best one to get Sameera to her senses." Nodding, the girls begrudgingly followed Leo out of the lab, Tara being carried by Leo.

None of the teens noticed Nick's activation of Sameera's pod did much more than allow them to free their friend from years of so many different types of torment, lights blinking all over the pod bank she had emerged from as well as a pod kept separate, hidden within a secret chamber..

Nick emerged from the lab to find himself in the canyon once occupied fully by the BPA. No wonder.. He looked around and saw Sameera, looking around just as frantically and confused as she had been choking Tara. "Meera!" The girl looked at him and froze before taking off again, beginning a game of tag that Nick honestly wasn't in it for at the moment. "Come on!" He said before rushing off in the same direction.

What is all this? Why am I flying? How am I flying? And why am I pink?! Sameera thought among many other things as she flew away from Nick.

You're very stubborn to the facts, aren't you? Came the other her's voice. You're a Bio-Android created by the Black Pendant Army to destroy their enemies. And now that we're free, I'll show you just how futile your friends finding you really is! The voice cackled as Sameera felt herself freeze in mid-flight, Nick's power signature zooming closer.

Nick stopped several feet away. "Sameera? Come on, let's go home."

Sameera began to laugh, a malicious sound Nick had never heard the girl utter before as she turned to him, her previously violet eyes now all black. "I'm sorry, Sameera isn't here right now. You could leave a message, but you won't be alive long enough to leave it!"

Nick stopped, bracing himself for anything. "And who are you, then?"

The evil side of Sameera smirked. "Oh, I'm still Sameera. I'm just the real her. Die!" She sent a thin beam towards Nick, a second beam wrapping around the first in a spiral as it rushed towards Nick.

In his surprise at the attack, Nick blocked the blast only to be blown towards the ground. He managed to catch himself in the air and flipped himself back into position, grimacing. "And now she has D.I.D. Maybe Tara was right, looking for Sameera may not have been the best idea." Nick sent a ki blast at the new one Sameera sent his way, growling at the state of his day. And things were starting to go so well today.. He thought as the battle began again.
