Hello everyone, thanks for entering this story. I been having this fic in my mind for a while and yesterday while being bored at work I finally decide to write it. This is also my first time not writing about South Park, let's see how it goes :3

… Where…? When is this portal ending…? It feels like I been falling for weeks… Wait…

"WHAT?!" I yelled as fell through the air and pummel into a bank of snow "Oh man… that's going to hurt a lot later" I said getting on my feet

I look around to see what kind of hell I'm in… Mmm snowy forest as long as the eye can see. Good, if I'm lucky I'll froze to death and he'll froze with me… Yeah, I'm not that lucky. I start walking in a random direction, is strange, I can't hear anything, no birds, no chipmunks, no animals of any kind, only the wind on the trees and my steps on the snow. I look at the sky and the sun is almost gone, I need to find a refuge before it gets too late

I walk through the endless trees, every step makes the shadows look creepier and creepier. I stop to catch my breath and I hear the snow shifting. Where? What? It sounded close, something is coming

"Hello, is anyone there?" I said to the nothingness

I shift around to see were the sound is coming from, everywhere I see there are only trees. I walk without looking where I'm going only to bump with something not even a step in. I look in front of me to find a hooded figure slightly taller than me holding an old oil lantern, the figure was surrounded in shadows but there was something I could clearly see, his eyes, his eyes where shining in various rings of colors coming from the center of each, it was terrifying, if I wasn't tired from all the portal hopping I would had run already

"Mmm… Hello sir or Ma'am…" I said timidly

"Hello" The figure said

Huh… he looks scary with no bounds, but his voice is actually normal, kind even…

"I see that you got lost in the forest" The figure said calmly

"Mmm… yes, kind of" I said confused "My name is Dipper, can you tell me where we are?"

"Yes, this is the Unknown" He said

"The Unknown? What do you mean?"

"This is a purgatory between life and death, were lost souls wander aimlessly until they disappear"

"A purgatory between life and death?"

"But do not fret, if you manage to exit this forest, you'll be able to return to the land of the living" He said pointing into the forest and then turn back to me "I am a guide and if you wish I can help you traverse safely"

"So a purgatory, is there no other exit?" I said uninterested of his explanation

"The only exit is crossing the train tracks at the other side of the forest, if you try to wander away from the path, you'll end back here losing all your progress"

"Sounds good, I been looking for a place like this for a while" I said as the guide makes a confuse sound

"You do not wish to return to your world? Don't you have anything to come back to?" He said

"Of course I do, I have my friends and family, my sister and a summer vacation I never got to finish"

"So then…?"

"This is for the best, if getting trap in this place keeps him trapped as well, then I'll stay here" I said, and the guide look at me thoroughly

"I see… I can't understand what you been through, it seems that you've fighting for far too long"

"Yes, I'm so tired and fed up, but if it keeps everyone safe, I have to keep going…" I said and I feel that feeling creeping down my spine that means he… he…

"If you are so fed up, why don't you give up Pine Tree" I said in a completely different voice than mine

I hold my head as I start to throw myself around, the guide takes a few steps back shocked by what's happening

"NO! Stay put you mad triangle!" I said as my eyes starting to glow with an eerie yellow

"No, you stay put for once in your life Pine Tree, ahahaha" The other voice laughs uncontrollably "Is time to sleep Pines"

"No! I will never fall sleep" I yelled only making the other voice laugh

"You were really unlucky where you fell. The cold snow, the tiredness of years without sleeping and when you finally thought you ended in a good place" He said and paused "YOU LOWER YOUR GUARD WITHOUT NOTICE IT" He said in an ominous voice as our eyes turn red for a moment and back to yellow "You were basically begging me to come out"

"No…" I said feeling my mind going numb "I… I won't…"

"Give it up kid" He said controlling my body "Our little fight for control is finally over" He said triumphantly, but without noticing the branches of the trees around us started to tie up our body "What?! What is the meaning of this?" He yelled, the guide walked in front of us as he gestured the trees to tight their grasp "Beast, let go already. You'll pay if you don't stop"

"Oh, you knew him, you both look like the same kind of evil, and just so you know, the Beast is no more" The guide said menacingly "I don't know who you are, but you better let him go"

"Hahaha, I see, you took Beasty down" The other said as the yellow glow in our eyes stared to dim, I could feel his energy being drain by the trees "It looks like you got me this time, but it doesn't matter, I lived for eons kid, I can wait for another chance to take control, Hahahaha. We'll meet again New Beast" He said, and his presence disappear

"Are you ok?" The guide said releasing me from the trees

My body felt weak, my legs gave up, but the guide managed to catch me, I was so confused, how did he beat him? What did they mean by Beast? Who is him? But before I could ask anything everything went dark…

Mmm… Ouch… every fiver of my body hurt… I open my eyes and find myself at bed in what it looks like a wooden cabin, furniture seems old, but it's strangely neatly decorated. I feel so groggy, I can barely move, I tried to stand up before the door of the room I was in opened and then enter an older boy in an orange turtle-neck sweater, he looked at me and his face lit up

"You are awake, thank goodness, you have been out for almost a week, I was getting worried" He said smiling

Wait, that voice, is this friendly looking guy the scary guide from back then?

"Ahh… Hi…" I said perplex

"How are you feeling? I don't know what tried to take control of you, but you looked very bad after passing out" He said taking a chair and sitting beside the bed

"Tired still, but I'll manage… wait, you said I passed out?!" I said panicking

"Yes… As I said you were out cold for days" He said, and I started to check everywhere in my body

"And he didn't do anything?! Like crushing my arms or getting my teeth out?!" I said checking my mouth

"What?! No, you just sleep without moving" He said, and I started to calm down "What is he anyway and why is he trying to control you?" He said and I looked at him

"His name is Bill Cipher, he is a dream demon and to be honest I really don't know what he wants, I think he just like making people miserable, that amuse him or something"

"A dream demon?" He asked me

"Yeah, he is not in the material world, he is in like the unconscious nexus between dream and reality, or something like that. That's why he can't interact with our world unless he has a host, who at his moment is me" I said having a headache just trying to remember

"And why is he trying to control you specifically?" He said

"Is a long story, I really don't want to go over it" I said getting depressed "I has been too long, too tiresome, I can't even sleep, he is stronger in dreams, so if I fall sleep, he has an easier time trying to control me"

"That's sounds rough" He said

"Yeah…" I said sighing loudly "And what about you…Emm… Mr. Guide"

"Oh, sorry for not introducing myself earlier, my name is Wirt and this is my home, I brought you here after you passed out after beating that demon"

"Thank you for that. How did you do it? I never thought someone could defeat Bill do easily"

"I have the power to absorb soul energy with trees, I can make them grow or change shape to what ever I like" He said and with a wave of his hand branches and leaves started growing from the wooden frame of the bed

"What? How? Are you not human? Like some kind of plant-people?" I said maybe more excited that I should

"Mmm… Maybe, I'm not too sure myself, but I did use to be human not too long ago"

"You used to be human? What happened to you?"

"Hehe, mine is a long story too, I can tell you if you don't mind"

"Ahh, you don't have to tell me if you don't want. Sorry, I get overly curious sometimes" I said embarrassed

"Is alright, I already accepted what happened" Wirt said with a sad look in his eyes and sighs "It all started on a Halloween night when me and my brother arrived in The Unknown…"
