Within the interiors of Beacon Academy, Jaune was sitting around at the workshop, clad in a standard workshop attire with clear goggles for students that want to build their custom weapons or updating their current weapons.

Said attire consists of a light brown jacket, brown work gloves, brown work shoes with black covering, though the blonde still wars his normal jeans.

Though the windows were opened to bring out the fresh air in the bright daytime, the blonde was engrossed in his personal project as he uses the tools that surround his work bench in silence, his goggles firmly placed in his eyes.

"Hey Jaune," Or at least it was when an unexpected voice called out. "What are you doing in the workshop?"

Said blonde got up from his work bench and find that his teammate and friend named Pyrrha Nikos standing within the safety distance from the workshop area, her green eyes peaked with curiosity while clad in her orange red t-shirt, khaki pants, and brown boots, though she kept her bracers, gorget, and circlet with her from her usual combat attire, aside from her ponytail.

"I was finishing up with the prototype jetpack, Pyrrha," Jaune explained as glances towards the Mistralian redhead. "Why you asked?"

"Just curious, that's all."

"Yeah, I was wondering." The blonde nodded.

"But anyway," Pyrrha started to glance at the jetpack that was lying on the table next to several tools scattered around. "Why are you building a jetpack?"

"Just to have my own form of transportation, especially during combat missions," Jaune explained as he pulled his goggles out of his eyes. "Especially if we're in some major tight spots."

"And what about the air sickness problem you have?"

"Just working on how to prevent myself from vomiting whenever I go to the air . . . for now," the blonde replied, before a frown sets in. "Especially since Yang didn't let me live it down with the nickname, 'Vomit Boy'."

Though annoying, Pyrrha could help but giggle at that nickname Jaune got some time when the students first enter to Beacon Academy through a Bullhead . . . alongside the blonde having to puke a few times, much to his embarrassment.

"Do you still hate me for using Milo to catch you during the Initiation a few weeks ago?" The redhead asked sheepishly after she stopped giggling.

"I don't hate you, Pyrrha, especially since I wasn't expecting to get sent flying to the Emerald Forest through launch pads," Jaune groaned, not wanting to be reminded of how their first meeting went out that day, with all the shenanigans that occurred. "And not knowing how to use a landing strategy to add that."

"Well, aside from saving you that day, at least I helped you unlock your Aura, managed to have Nora and Ren as teammates, successfully formed Team JNPR, and gain some friends with Team RWBY." Pyrrha pointed out, hoping to at least see the bright side of things during that day.

"Even though that's true, I still need to further train myself to become a good leader to you guys," The blonde explained. "Ozpin put me as team leader in the first place, so I must be responsible for your well-being alongside mine. Besides, it doesn't hurt to learn some new skills alongside being prepared for anything."

"I guess so too," the redhead nodded.

But before they could continue, the doors were slammed open, revealing to be none other than Nora Valkyrie and Lie Ren (though he didn't mind being called Ren).

While Ren had on a simple green changshan shirt, a light pink sash, white pants, and black shoes, Nora had on a pink shirt with white sleeves and a large white heart in front of her shirt, a navy black mid-thigh skirt, and black combat boots.

"Hey guys!" Nora shouted. "Whatcha doing?"

"I was chatting with Jaune," Pyrrha explained.

"And before that, I was building my jetpack," said blonde added.

"Nice," Nora tries to zip towards Jaune's workbench as she sees the jetpack when the raven-haired guy grabbed her behind the shirt to prevent her from moving forward.

"Nora," Ren chastised her. "You can't go near the workshop without standardized attire beyond the yellow line; safety rules."

"Aww, you're no fun," Said orangenette pouted.

"I don't want you to get hurt."

"That too."

"So," Ren starts to wonder at the invention that his team leader had made. "What's the purpose of the jetpack?"

"Just to help give me flight during missions," Jaune explained. "Especially I'm still learning how to improve my combat skills alongside how to properly use my Aura."

"And your semblance?"

"Still working on it," the blonde put his goggles back on despite the embarrassment in his tone. "Once I'm finished with building the jetpack, I'm going to test it out to see what's good and what needs to be improved on."

"Can I test it?" Nora asked.

"No," the rest of Team JNPR replied.

The reason?

"The jetpack is still a prototype," Jaune explained. "Plus, I don't want you to break it."

"You might hurt yourself if you use it without Jaune's permission," Pyrrha pointed out.

"Also, I don't want you to start wreaking havoc around Beacon Academy." Ren added. "Especially in regard to your pranking schemes."

The orangenette looked at them until she deflated with a groan.

"Ugh, yes guys," Nora grumbled, before turning towards the young man in green. "Including you, future hubby."

"Thank you, my dear," Ren replied in a neutral tone, though with a hint of satisfaction.

Jaune and Pyrrha, however, were not sure what that meant between the pink-clad young woman and the green-clad young man, but they both silently agree to not dwell on what's going on between their teammates just yet . . . for now.

"Anyway," Jaune said. "I'll get back to make some finishing touches with the jetpack before testing it out."

"Alright Jaune, just take your time," Pyrrha nodded before something else came to her mind. "Besides that, who's going to help you with testing out the jetpack?

"Headmaster Ozpin and Professor Goodwitch."

Before anyone could question any further, Jaune added. "I told them already that I was building a jetpack and let them know when it's going to be finished so they can help me test it without endangering myself."

"Okay . . . just asking." Pyrrha nodded nervously, still surprised that their Headmaster and combat Professor both agreed to help the blonde test out the jetpack.

"Even still, just let us know when the jetpack is finished," the redhead replied, changing topics.

"Of course, Pyrrha," the blonde nodded.

"And do you have a name for the jetpack?" Nora added.

"Working on it."
