Chapter 4

The door to Tori's bedroom busted open, slamming hard against the shelf of plants that Tori had positioned against the wall. She could hear something shattering as the door flew open and their bodies pressed more against it.

Under different circumstances, Tori would have worried and rushed to clean up the mess. But this wasn't that moment. Not when she was so lost in this desired moment with Jade.

Or maybe this was a dream. A sweet, erotic dream that she did not want to wake from.

Whatever it was. Nothing existed right now but them.

With their lips still dancing with one another, Tori's hands caressed their way inside the goth's jacket, sliding it smoothly off of her shoulders as it pooled on the floor.

To feel Tori's soft touch, lit Jade on fire. Her hands didn't waste time in pulling the Latina closer to her body, her mouth breathing in the low pleasurable grunt that escaped Tori's mouth.

As soon as her lips parted, Tori felt Jade's warm tongue take possession of her mouth. She couldn't help to suck on it hard, hearing an equal grunt escape from the Goth's chest, her pale fingers squeezing against her hips.

Jade always wondered what making love to Tori would be like. She always wondered what it would feel like to kiss her, to hold her as close as she was right now. And she was happy to discover, she was not disappointed.

Now was that time. Yes, it was wrong. She knew it, and she knew Tori knew it, too, but as wrong as this was it just felt so damn right.

Not that cheating was in any way okay…

But the truth was, Jade always loved Tori.

A phone vibrated in the distance, tucked away inside the pocket of Jade's Black Jacket, which lay on the floor. Then, Tori's cell phone vibrated somewhere buried inside her massive brown purse, which was lost on the floor under piles of clothes.

Tori shifted in bed, feeling a warmth next to her that she never wanted to depart from. The room was definitely spinning but she couldn't remember when was the last time she had slept this well.

"Tori! Are you there?" Her sister shouted through her door. "Beck keeps calling my phone, you need to Pick up! He says it's important. Something about Jade…"

Jade! Tori's eyes shot open, "Oh, no," she muttered. "Okay… Okay…" Tori shouted. And turned to face the goth peacefully sleeping next to her. "Oh, God," Tori lifted the covers slowly, discovering her naked body, her eyes shut tight. "Oh, no!" Her head turned to the woman who was passed out on her stomach. She sat up in bed, abruptly shaking the sleeping goth. "Jade!" She shook her again, "Jade, get up."

"Mmm," Jade grunted, gently shifting within the warm bed and warm sheets, her eyes refusing to open.

"Jade," Tori whispered, shaking her a little rougher. "Jade, it's Beck!" With a sigh, Tori pushed the blue-streaked raven hair behind the girl's ear. "Get up!" Then she shoved her with all her might right off the bed, seeing her body tumble to the hardwood floor with a loud thud followed by a loud surprised groan.

"What's going on?" Jade sat up, shaking her head and looking right at Tori, her blue eyes wide.

"It's Beck, he's on the phone!" Tori whispered, finding her vibrating phone and cringing at the massive amounts of texts.

"What?" Jade shot up to her feet, looking down at her naked body, wrapping one of the sheets around her. "Oh, God, what did we do?"

Under different circumstances, Tori would compliment Jade's body and how great it looked, but this wasn't the right time to get distracted.

"And how many times did we do it?" Asked Jade.

The phone rang, startling both women.

"You have to answer," Jade whispered.

Brown eyes grew wide. "Are you fucking kidding me? He will know you are here!" She whispered.

"Tori, answer the phone."

"No."

"Answer the phone!" Jade hissed, hearing it ring again.

"Why?"

"Because you always do."

Tori rolled her eyes. Dear God, was she that predictable? Both Jade and Tori remained frozen until the phone stopped ringing. Then Tori Received a text.

Beck: I'm coming over then.

Tori exchanged a look with Jade of pure panic and rushed to call him back, her duvet wrapped around her naked body, while Jade rushed to get dressed.

"H- hi- B- Beck!" Tori smiled, heading quickly to her dresser, her eyes watching Jade as she scooped up her bra and panties from the floor, and putting them on.

"Tori, thank God!" From his RV, Beck sat on his couch, his eyes crazy with panic. "Jade's not there, is she?"

"No, of course not. Why on earth would Jade be here?" Her eyes moved straight to Jade, who continued to look for her dress.

The goth stood frozen in place, mouthing over the words, 'Where is my dress?'

Beck sighed, "I was hoping she was."

"You were?" Tori's eyes grew wide. "W- why?"

"What do you mean why?" Beck cried, "Because at least that would mean that she isn't out there screwing someone else's brains out right now."

Tori searched for the other girl's dress, looking under the bed, "Oh, Beck- don't be ridiculous." She rushed over to her bed, reaching for Jade's black dress that had landed on top of her lamp. "Jade loves you." She tossed it over to her.

Jade caught her dress in mid-air, her eyes locking on Tori's while she quickly slid it on. She felt like scum, lower than scum. Not only did she end up in bed with her fiance's best friend, but now she was lying about it, and Tori was lying with her.

"Really?" Beck said unsure.

"Of course, she does!" Tori scoffed, sitting on her bed. "Hey, you and I might be tight, but you forget, you know Jade, okay? She is all yours. I mean, once she loves someone, she will love them forever." Her eyes moved over to the goth who stood in shock at her words and offered her a sweet smile.

"I don't know, Tori," Beck sighed. "I mean, sometimes I think this whole wedding thing has her nerves all rattled up. What if she did do something stupid?"

Tori bent over to pick up Jade's leather jacket, tossing it right at her, which hit Jade in the face. "Well, that's probably it!" She stood from her bed, her back to Jade. "Jade, she's- she's probably just nervous about this whole wedding situation." Her eyes turned back to the goth, looking back at her while she placed on her booties one at a time. "Look, I have to go, but don't worry about Jade, she will be home soon. I promise."

"Thanks, Tor," Beck sighed, feeling more calm. "You always know the right thing to say to make me feel better."

"I'll call you later to check on you. Love you." She quickly hung up the call, exhaling a heavy sigh while tossing the phone onto her bed and plopping down against it, her hand reaching over for a pillow and smacking it onto her face in suffocation.

"How could this happen?" Her voice was muffled due to her pillow still being over her face. Her eyes stared up at the ceiling once she tossed it aside. "I am a horrible friend."

"Hey, Tor," Jade laid on her elbow, her hand reaching over for the brunette's hand. "If anyone is horrible here, it's me."

"No," the brunette shook her head, her eyes falling on Jade as she sat upright. "Well yeah, but you're not a cheater… not usually..." Her voice trailed off, feeling herself get lost in Jade's eyes.

Jade smiled, "Yeah…"

Tori shook her head, her brow knitted, "I- I mean, you are wonderful To Beck, sometimes." She nodded. "He's your… fiance."

"Right," Jade frowned, her eyes looking around Tori's bedroom. "This is a nice room." She said, taking in the white walls, wood oak furniture and bed.

"Thank you, I decorated it myself." Tori smiled, looking around the room.

Both had a quiet moment, locking eyes again, seeing one another's shame for what they allowed to happen the previous night between them.

"Listen, um," Jade stood up from the brunette's bed, jacket hanging over her arm, her hair a bit messy. "Don't worry about Beck… I'll cover for you. I can easily tell him that I spent the night at a friend's house."

"Which, technically isn't an entire lie," Tori joked, trying to lighten the awkward mood and the horrible feeling boiling up inside of her.

Jade released a light chuckle, "Yeah," she murmured.

Tori's smile turned into a frown. How could they let this happen? It was a mistake, a stupid, stupid mistake that somehow… Felt so right. Not the cheating, but something about them together just clicked last night. And not only did Tori feel that, but Jade did too.

"I mean, this was…" Tori's eyes locked on blue ones once again. "A simple mistake. Right?" Say no.

Is that all it was to her? Jade couldn't explain why her heart ached. It ached because of this so-called mistake that if Beck found out about, it would crush him. It ached because to her, as cruel to Beck as it may be, it wasn't a mistake. And who the hell was she to tell Tori she has always loved her and disrupt her life, much more Beck's?

"Right," Jade nodded, seeing the sadness in Tori's eyes. "A simple drunken mistake."

"Right," Tori murmured.

"I gotta go," Said Jade. "Beck is bound to question me like an FBI agent."

Tori chuckled, "Nah… he'll be okay."

"Yeah," Jade chuckled, remaining silent for a moment until she wanted to work up her courage to say- "Look, Tori- I-"

"You really should go, Jade." Tori stood from her bed, her hand landing against the woman's back as she walked her over to the door of her room. "What happened, happened and there's no turning back from it, but," she reached for her doorknob. "Life goes on. You are getting married soon and I'll just be…"

Jade stepped over the threshold of Tori's room, her eyes locking on her sad features. Now that Tori pointed out her crush, of forever ago, she didn't have a hard time seeing her feelings right through her.

"I'll just be the best friend, yearning for my best friend's girlfriend." A sad smile stretched across the brunette's lips. "It'll be like high school all over again."

"Tori-" Jade blinked, her heart fluttering inside of her chest.

"No, Jade-" Tori held out her hand, preventing Jade from moving any closer. "Just, please… Go."

After a moment, Jade decided not to press on any further, turning on the balls of her feet and heading out of the house. She smiled at Mr. and Mrs. Vega and glared at Trina as she rushed out of the house doing her walk of shame.

Tori sighed, shutting her bedroom door, her head banging against it as she shook it. She rushed over to her only window where she could see Jade as she walked to her car in the driveway. How could she possibly look Back in the eye now? What would happen? Whatever happened, she needed to talk to someone about this, and right now there was only one person she trusted.
