"Jaune's girlfriend?" Pyrrha, witnessing the other redhead named Scarlett Fairbairn in front of her, claiming about relationship with her team leader still reeling in shock over what she'd just heard.

"Ex-girlfriend to be exact, Pyrrha," Jaune clarified, alerting his teammate's attention, aside from the woman in front of them. "Someone I used to date some time ago."

The Mistralian young woman stared at him for a bit until she glances back at the other redhead in front of her. "Is this true?"

The redhead with the black and white attire was silent for a moment before a frown came to her. "Yes, it is true . . . unfortunately."

Pyrrha's eyes widen in shock, not only because Scarlett admitted that she lied about a relationship with Jaune but was revealed to be his ex-lover as well.

But even then, more questions begin to pop up within the MIstralian's head.

"How did you get here?" "The redheaded teammate of JNPR demanded, wanting to know anything about why that woman came to Beacon Academy in the first place.

Said young woman in front of the two stares at them briefly. "It's simple . . . "

Without warning, two strange black like organs start popping out behind Scarlett's back, seemingly going past her own clothing and underneath her capelet before they start morphing into a pair of large, leathery black-like appendages that most resemble to a large bat when she folded her wings behind her.

"What are you!?" The Mistralian young woman appeared shocked, not only by the other redhead gaining some new appendages that sprouted behind her back, especially since winged Fanus can't pop out their wings like that.

Jaune, however, felt undisturbed by what he witnessed, aside from the blank look on his face.

"The answer is very simple," Scarlett's smile begins to grow a few inches. "I'm considered to be a Noctis Walker, a creature of shadows, yes?"

"A Noctis Walker?" Pyrrha felt even more shocked and unnerved by what she had just heard. "Jaune, you used to date someone like this."

"Yeah, I know," The blonde simply nods his head. "I used to be Scarlett's boyfriend even after knowing her secret. Though the relationship fizzled out after I caught her dating someone else behind my back . . . unfortunately."

"Jaune, please . . ." The redheaded Noctis Walker folded her hands together in front of her as if she was pleading, her smile now reduce to a fearful frown. "Our relationship doesn't have to end like this; I know cheating on you was a horrible mistake, but I promise I won't do it ever again. Just give me another chance to restart our relationship."

"Why?"

"I'd gotten way too lonely after our Investigation Club was disbanded due to my actions, but Jaune, my beloved Knight, can't we become lovers once again?" The Noctis Walker looked at him with pleading eyes.

"Scarlett, I don't want to be your boyfriend anymore," the young man looked at her with disappointment on his face. "After cheating on me with someone else, I just don't think rekindling our relationship is worth it anymore."

The young woman with the bat-like wings felt hurt by the human blonde's response. "Jaune, I know what I'd done was a mistake and . . ."

". . . was dating Rad Stoneman behind my back a mistake?" Jaune interrupted, trying to keep himself from using the sword from Crocea Mors to slice the traitorous woman's head off. "Because it didn't feel like it to me."

"Jaune, I . . . "

"Scarlett, right?" Pyrrha interrupted, causing the other redhead to stop for a moment. "You're telling me that you used to date Jaune Arc despite revealing your true identity as a Noctis Walker and then simply cheated on him with this Rad Stoneman without him knowing?"

"Yes, I know about that," Scarlett replied to the redheaded Mistralian. "It was a simple fling during one of my contracts gigs with Rad Stoneman after wanting him to become a better person if he offered me to be his girlfriend despite dating Jaune Arc back in high school around Doremy.

"Though initially I did it to help earn money for the Investigation Club alongside not wanting to get both of us in trouble due to his poor behavior in school despite calling himself a 'rebel'.

"Things happened that brought us closer to each other due to both of us being afraid of being overshadowed by our more well-off brothers alongside wanting to stand out from the others and . . . "

She would have continued when Pyrrha slapped her to the ground, anger rushing towards her once affable face.

"YOU STARTED AN AFFAIR WITH RAD OVER A GIG!? HOW COULD YOU BETRAY JAUNE LIKE THIS!? JUST WHY!?" Pyrrha screamed, furious that this woman chose to backstab her friend and team leader like this, much to the blonde's surprise. "I'm not furious that Jaune is dating a Noctis Walker, Scarlett; I'm furious that you threw away his trust, no, his love towards you to some low-quality thug with major self-esteem issues behind his back. Why do this to him, just WHY!?"

Tears start to form around Scarlett's eyes. "I just wanted Rad to become a better and more well-manner person . . ."

"By cheating on your own friend who loved you?" The Mistralian growled, resisting the urge to use Milo and/or Akouo to beat the Noctis Walker up senseless. "How long did you kept that affair going? Did anyone else from the Investigation Club, let alone your parents, know about this? Does Rad even know your secret of who you are!?"

"Truth is, I didn't tell anyone about it, not even my parents about the affair. Not only that, the secret relationship with Rad lasted two weeks, Pyrrha," Scarlett admitted as she got back up. "We only just kissed a couple of times, but I didn't tell him my secret."

"And what about Jaune?" The redheaded with the Spartan attire grumbled. "How many times did you kissed your actual boyfriend, before all of this?"

The redheaded Noctis Walker couldn't even recall even a single event, which the Mistralian gave a disappointing frown.

"For someone that cared about Jaune as a lover, you really don't know how to maintain a relationship, didn't you." The Spartan attired woman sighed.

"I thought he was cool, funny, and he got lots of awesome traits."

"But why start a relationship with Jaune in the first place?"

"I told him about the arranged marriage my dad set up to a horrible guy a few years older than me called Falk Wildfire and Jaune, alongside my team, agreed to help defeat my horrible fiancé in a combat match to annul the marriage," Scarlett explained. "Not only that, Jaune also helped us countless times during our various battles and helped my teammates resolved their issues effectively. I knew at that moment I grew to love my beloved Knight and we started a relationship.

"It's only a terrible shame I voluntarily destroyed it just for some terrible guy I barely even know of, especially when Jaune found out about our relationship when he was coming back to the clubhouse to check on me before returning back to his house," The Noctis Walker tilted her head down in shame. "Especially since I wanted to help others feel grateful about themselves during our contract gigs."

"And what happened to Rad?" Jaune asked, not wanting to drag Team RWBY into this mess. "Last I heard was that he was sent to the hospital after an altercation with a group of Beacon Academy students."

"When I told him I was a Noctis Walker, he called me a freak of nature and wanted to get away from me at all costs," The winged redhead admitted. "But given the fact we're both exiled from our families due to the affair, we initially lived in apartment around Doremy while trying to make ends meet.

"Sadly, things gotten worse between us after during our exile," Scarlett shook her head in disappointment. "Even as we start working to financially support ourselves, Rad's behavior grew more and more worse as they days go by, especially since he constantly gets fired due to major anger problems and constantly fighting anyone that looks at him funny.

"I tried to reason Rad out of this, but he often screamed and ranted that it's my fault that we're in this mess despite his constant drinking problem and abusing himself on drugs, especially since he can't get money from his parents.

"But the last straw, after Jaune made his departure away from Arcadia, was when Rad gotten so drunk after attempting to fight someone at the bar he got kicked out of that he decided, in his words, 'to reclaim his honor' by attempting to assault, rape, and kill me for being a disgrace to his now ruined life.

"I had no choice but to defend myself, escaped the apartment complex, and restart my life again around Vale while working a few jobs to support myself.

"Even then, the last I heard of Rad was that he got beaten up and crippled by this young woman called Yang Xiao Long for attempting to harm her teammates.

"But when I overheard on the news that he killed himself by jumping off a large building due to caving into despair from his now crippled body, I decided to locate the young woman for choosing to stop Rad's rampage by heading to Beacon Academy myself when I found you guys returning from your training session.

"Once I saw you two, I realized now that my true lover is none other than Jaune Arc and I should spend the rest of my life with my beloved Knight," Scarlett gave a seemingly friendly smile as she twirls like a ballerina, causing the two humans to stared at her blankly as a result.

"Scarlett, while I'm sorry that you had a terrible life with Rad during your exile alongside him attempting to do horrible stuff to you, that still doesn't mean I want to rekindle a relationship with you regardless," Jaune stated. "If you can break my heart once, what's going to prevent you from doing it again with someone else."

"Jaune, please," The Noctis Walker begged. "Give me another chance, I'm sorry."

"I know, but still isn't worth it, Scarlett; I'm sorry."

A sudden frown started to emerge around Scarlett's face. "How come? Unless . . . unless . . . you must have feelings towards the 'Invincible Champion' that everyone's talking about named Pyrrha Nikos, right?"

"Pyrrha and I are just friends, that's it," The blonde human stated. "And if I want her as a girlfriend, then I want to hear permission from her first before we could start our relationship."

Jaune? A strange feeling started to emerge within the Spartan's heart. Why did I feel so odd right now?

"And even still, I want to have someone who won't betray me behind my back," The blonde knight added. "Something you are unable . . . or unwilling to do, Scarlett Fairbairn."

The redheaded Noctis Walker tilted her head down that the two could barely look at her eyes.

The Spartan clad young woman didn't know what that meant, but a gut feeling told her it's not good news at all.

"Jaune . . ." Scarlett's bluish green eyes turn very dark as she glares at him. "I just wanted to rekindle my love for you, my beloved Knight; isn't it too much to ask?"

"After all this, I don't think it's worth it," The young man stated as he turns his back away from the Noctis Walker, his redheaded teammate unconsciously doing the same. "Anyway, Pyrrha and I should head back . . . "

When suddenly, a blast of pure energy shot behind the two humans before hitting the few trees within the Emerald Forest, causing them to vanish into mere dust in seconds.

"What was that?" Pyrrha gasped as both her and Jaune turned towards the winged redhead in front of them.

"That's my clan's ability to generate destructive blasts," A smile crept onto Scarlett's lip. "Something I never, ever, forget using."

"Where did that came from," Nervousness start to creep onto the human redhead, much to the winged redhead's pleasure.

"All Noctis Walkers can generate powers and abilities within us due to our unique biology," The Noctis Walker explained casually as she generates a basketball-like sphere coated in a reddish glow. "My family before my exile have the power to create spheres of energy to destroy targets completely. Such a shame I didn't use it on Rad when I had that chance.

"But getting back on our current topic," her smile begins to creep even further as Scarlett glances at the two Hunter trainees, who unconsciously pulling out their weapons in futile attempt to defend themselves. "I might have to get rid of the 'Invincible Champion' first before . . ."

. . . a beam of purple energy appears to entrap her, preventing the winged young woman from even moving a single muscle in her body.

But to Jaune and Pyrrha, they turned towards the source of the purple beam, the two couldn't help but feel relieved as Glynda appeared, her riding crop emitting a beam of purple energy while her scowl was fierce.

"What are you attempting to do, Scarlett Fairbairn," The combat instructor's tone was serious before looking at her student with sympathy. "Because attempting to harm my students' well-being is not something I'll accept."

The immobile Scarlett paled as she looked at the woman cold glare with the intent of using lethal force before the purple beam dissipates, leaving the winged redhead to land on the grassy floor with a thud.

"Now I got your attention," The combat instructor stated. "I want you to leave Beacon Academy if you don't want to end up in the hospital . . . or the morgue if you're that desperate."

Both couldn't help but stare at each other, waiting for either one of them to make a move or response.

Even the two students can't help but be planted on the ground, feeling unsure and a bit worried about the possible outcome of this stare off.

Until one made the first move. . .

"Yes, I'll leave Beacon Academy, Professor," Scarlett tearfully nodded, knowing full well not to fight someone in a battle that she could lose greatly despite the latter being a mere human woman.

"Good," Feeling satisfied with the response, Glynda could only watch as the Noctis Walker used her large bat like wings to fly up in the sky, only taking a moment to look at Jaune before she flies away from Beacon Academy into the sunset.

As the three began to stare at the flying Noctis Walker, the mood started to feel quiet after what they had to experience until the female Professor gave them a pitiful look, having to see two of her students staring at the whole thing in utter shock.

Especially since Jaune Arc himself used to be that young woman's lover sometime ago before that fiasco happened in the first place.

Without even hesitating, the blonde woman pulled out her Scroll with a purple cover that showed her Emblem from her skirt pocket, pressing a few apps on the screen when she found a particular contact number.

"Ozpin, we got a problem." Glynda alerted the Beacon Headmaster through her Scroll, her tone feeling urgent.

"How bad?"

"The Noctis Walker named Scarlett Fairbairn came to Beacon Academy and almost made an altercation with Jaune Arc and Pyrrha Nikkos." The female instructor told him what was going on. "Also, she managed to destroy a few trees around the Emerald Forest with the Fairbairn's destruction blasts."

Glynda couldn't tell what her husband who acts as Headmaster of Beacon Academy was thinking about, but she knew all too quickly that he felt shocked as she was.

"I see," The professor can hear Ozpin sighed, sensing a headache is about to erupt in the man's head. "I'll alert the remnants of Team JNPR, alongside teams RWBY, CRDL, and CFVY into my office. You, however, will escort Mr. Arc and Miss Nikos to my office as well. I had a feeling we may need to explain everything what was going on . . . especially considering this whole situation with the Noctis Walker that they witnessed."

"I understand, sir," the blonde Professor nodded when the call ended, causing her to put her Scroll in her pocket.

"Head to Ozpin's office," Glynda alerted the two immobile students. "You two are not in trouble or anything, but this is very important to your encounter with Scarlett Fairbairn right now. I also received word that Ozpin will send the rest of team JNPR into his office alongside teams RWBY, CRDL, and CFVY. I will escort both of you in case we get unwanted surprises along the way. Do you understand?"

Normally both Jaune and Pyrrha would have argued or make excuses not going to Ozpin's office, but after what they had to witness regarding that Noctis Walker, they had little to no choice but to comply as they quietly nod their heads until they followed the female instructor back to the Academy.

Especially after witnessing something like that happening when it was supposed to be a simple break from their combat training session.
