So when I was looking through google images some time ago, I found a highly inappropriate, for this rating, image of Harry lying on a table using his magic to do things to himself. In the text bubbles above him, I saw a conversation between Voldemort and Quirrell, where Quirrell tells Voldemort that he asked Harry to stay after his first day of class and used imperio on him. That got me thinking what if Quirrell was smart and did something like that in Harry's first year, and this story idea was born.
Harry age 2
'Tom, I'm hungry,' Harry thought to the only being that cared about him.
'Don't worry, child the others are asleep now. Let's get you some food, my little one' Tom said as he helped little Harry access his magic.
Hogwarts
First day of first year's DADA class
"H...har...Harry p...pot...Potter plea...please stay after class," Quirrel stuttered.
"Yes, sir," Harry stated to the teacher then asked Tom, 'how come no one can see that the stutter is forced?'
Tom shrugged, 'it just shows that we are smarter than them. Be careful when you are alone with him, my little one.'
'I will, Dad.'
Time skip
After class
Only Quirrell and Harry are in the room
"Thank you, Boy, for being easy prey. Imerio!" Quirrell happily called out.
As the spell took over, Harry's eyes turned blood red, and in a voice that didn't belong to Harry spoke, "what do you think you are doing to my son?"
"Who are you?" Quirrell asked.
"I am Lord Voldemort"
