"During the last episode of Total Drama Malibu..." Bridgette began the recap, standing on the Santa Monica pier with Geoff. It was now in the middle of the day, with it far more bustling than yesterday. "We had Duncan dress up as a killer with a hook, and the teams had to try and escape him! Mike and Lucien got themselves caught early on, and the Gulls couldn't quite cooperate on where to go. Shane tried to ditch Anne Maria and Brava did ditch Mickey, so when Mitzy and Arin took the win for their team, that left the Gulls more upset with their deserters! Shane had his allies though, so Brava was given the boot! She didn't seem to mind though, having other things to do. Wonder what she's up to! But now who will face elimination? Find out right here on Total Drama Malibu!"

Intro Sequence:

Instead of the usual rock tune of I Wanna Be Famous, harsher electric guitar chords came in at A minor, along with harsher drum beats and synths. Cameras popped out of various places along a beach in Malibu, first a trash can, then from behind a lounge chair, then out of some sand. Before the lyrics came in, a film clapper appeared in front of the camera and began the scene.

Whatever happened to the young young lovers? One moved on and the other got lost in

After the scene began, the camera briefly showed a beautiful stretch of a Malibu beach, with a bustling street right behind it. Geoff and Bridgette were shown on a pier together, each of them raising an arm to let the camera zoom by them. Mike was a bit behind them, just watching the co-hosts with a blank expression.

Meds and shocks and tears in the street, tears on his knees, teary history

Vanessa and Zoey were further down the pier, playing a carnival throwing game together. Vanessa had a big smile on her face as she got a bullseye with a baseball, making Zoey sigh as she threw and missed her shot.

Whatever happened to the Nerd Herd? Still quite sane, but what about Shane? Took himself back to the drawing board, plotting for those he abhorred

Mitzy and Arin were playing some kind of laser game at a carnival stand, both of them having ice cream cones, with Shane trying to keep up with them in the game and fire at the aliens in it. Jo came running by down the pier though, and his face filled with malice.

An eye for an eye, a leg for a leg, a vote off the show doesn't go away

Going down from the pier and onto the beach itself, Monica was sitting on a beach chair with binoculars on her eyes, while Lucien was napping on a chair next to her. Jo passed by them both on her run, blatantly pushing Monica off her seat as she passed by.

Everyone has to go, but being booted by a kid stings a long long way

Anne Maria was trying to sunbathe on the beach in her swimsuit when Caleb passed by with a metal detector, getting a scornful look from her.

You wanna be famous? You wanna be famous? You wanna be famous? They go

Brick and Brava were playing volleyball together, although Brava jumped up and spike the ball right at Brick's face. The cadet rubbed his face, but tried to keep a smile albeit pained. The ball bounced towards Petunia, who was startled as it hit her in the back and made her spray them both.

Na na na, nanana na na

The skunk spray transitioned the scene to neon lights above several beach garlands on wooden posts at night. Mickey and Jay were sitting next to each other on folding chairs, already looking nervous before Geoff popped up between them to try and cheer them up. This made the twins run off, with Bridgette letting out a sigh as this happened. The scene then zoomed out to show the rest of the cast sitting in a half circle on folding chairs, all of them humming one last droning note while the title of the season was shown on the center garland.

After the intro, the episode began in the afternoon, with Mitzy, Arin, and now Mickey walking along the beach, right next to the water with the occasional wave getting their feet. "So what are you guys patrolling for?" Mickey asked as he followed.

"Bad guys, anyone that needs saving, just the usual!" Arin answered, trotting along in the front.

"I just look for things to draw. I don't need as much beach scenes, but sometimes just staring at the ocean gives you ideas." Mitzy gave her answer, currently scribbling a drawing of her yo-yo hero flinging their weapon at an incoming missile.

Mickey nodded, also just staring at the ocean as they walked. "Yeah... it looks calming. It's like the ocean paintings in the hospital Jay and I always went to, but now real!" Mickey commented.

"Always went to? I thought you guys were overly protective so that wouldn't happen." Mitzy questioned him, looking back.

"We try, but we're not lucky enough to just avoid stuff by being careful. One time, I tried to step over a crack in the sidewalk so I wouldn't trip over it, but instead the tile I stepped onto gave away and I hit my head on the concrete." Mickey explained, rubbing his arm.

Arin winced at the idea, before just patting Mickey on the head. "Well look at the bright side sport, we're on the beach, so nothing is gonna give away for you like the sidewalk! That'd be worse timing than most of the accidents in the comics I read if you still managed to get hurt." Arin tried to cheer him up.

Out of nowhere, a frisbee then flew and bonked Mickey in the head, knocking him over and making him faceplant in the sand. "I guess you spoke too soon..." Mitzy mumbled as Arin hurried over and helped Mickey back to his feet.

Mickey wiped the sand off his face, not too upset. "Like you said, it's just sand. It can only hurt so much. Unless I sink it into again like last time." Mickey told them, then just carried on walking.

Mitzy frowned at this, just feeling more bad for him still. "So what do you do for fun then? If everything is so dangerous? There's gotta be something you enjoy!" Mitzy asked him, trying to keep the topic light.

Mickey thought for a moment, then got a big smile. "I like to collect model trains actually! Wooden ones that is, mechanized model trains and I don't go too well. Aside from the uncommon splinter, it's pretty safe! And I get to make my own little world with the trains, one where people don't get hurt over little things and deliveries are right on time!" Mickey answered enthusiastically, chuckling a little afterward.

"Model trains? That's actually pretty cool! I mean, not as cool as my awesome comic book collection, but still up there!" Arin complimented him, which Mickey took happily.

-Confessional: Gallant Gulls: Mickey-

Mickey rubbed one arm, looking down. "Mitzy and Arin are really nice, but I can't help but feel like they're only hanging out with me because they feel bad for me. That's kinda how everyone is with me. Jay and I get hurt so much, people see us as just walking pincushions. I've heard 'how many fingers am I holding?' more than 'how's it going!', so I just hope Mitzy and Arin actually like my hobbies and who I am. That's why Jay and I only really hung out with Cameron back home, he got us."

-End Confessional-

Shane and Zoey were playing a game of volleyball together at one of the beach nets, although it was a very casual one. Both were just tossing the ball over the net to each other, and Shane was barely trying. "Hey, I think we've warmed up enough, can we start an actual game?" Zoey asked Shane, getting a little bored.

Shane shook his head, then lightly tossed the ball over again. "Nope. Have to conserve our energy for the challenge itself." Shane sharply replied.

Zoey caught the ball, letting out a small sigh. "Do you think it'll be that tough? I know Geoff and Bridgette gave us a scare last night, but I don't think they would make a brutal challenge." Zoey pointed out, then tossed the ball high up over the net.

Shane just reached up and caught the ball without putting much effort. "Whether it is or not, we need to be able to crush the Octopi. We've lost twice in a row and the teams are even now. We can't lose again, so we need to be as ready as possible for the next challenge." Shane stated, then lightly tossed the ball again.

"How come we voted off Brava then? She was really helpful for challenges." Zoey asked, catching the ball and throwing it right back over.

"It was me or her. And if I left, then they'd go for you next. Sometimes we have to make cuts like that. Speaking of which, we'll probably have to send Anne Maria home next time we lose." Shane explained, nearly missing catching the ball since Zoey threw it a little further.

Shane didn't match the power though, just doing another gentle throw. "Wait why? Doesn't this seem a little bit schemy? She hasn't done anything to us." Zoey questioned the idea, not a fan of it.

While Zoey caught the ball, Shane gestured over to the tables, where Anne Maria was sitting by herself and spraying on a new coat of spray tan, while Brick was getting more food from the lunch table. Lucien was at the tables too, taking a nap. "See them over there? Anne Maria is still mad at me after last night, and she's probably working with Brick, which was why I was in the bottom 2. I know you think Brick is your friend, but he clearly would rather work with her than you. So what do you think happens when I'm gone?" Shane went over the details, speaking matter-of-factly.

Zoey then tossed the ball over, losing some power in her throw as she sighed. "They'd target me next..." Zoey conceded with a sigh.

"Exactly. I'm looking out for you as a friend here, those two were already friends from last season. Alright?" Shane reiterated with a small smile.

"Alright. Thanks Shane." Zoey thanked Shane, although she now wasn't trying much either.

-Confessional: Gallant Gulls: Shane-

Shane chuckled, sitting with his arms crossed. "Zoey really is that gullible huh? Brick was making progress with her that I really didn't like, but just telling her that he'd vote for her and she buys it? She's more desperate for friends than I thought. With her and Mickey on my side, I'm in no real danger, heh, it really is that easy huh?"

-End Confessional-

Mike was sitting on the sand at the moment, just staring out into the ocean. "Ugh... why does this season have to be somewhere so... cheery. That radioactive island would have been more my side..." Mike muttered to himself.

Jo jogged up to him though, stopping raising an eyebrow. "You're sitting out here by yourself? What gives? Thought you'd be hanging out with the turbo virgins." Jo asked him, gesturing over in the distance to the Nerd Herd.

Mike looked over at the trio on their patrol for a moment, then just shrugged. "I just don't think they'd want to hang out with me. After losing Vanessa and Monica, I just... don't have anyone." Mike answered, his tone changing to be much more mopey.

Jo seemed a little confused by this, but didn't question it. "Ugh, this game isn't giving you a break huh? Well that's just straight up mustard gas, you really should learn to grow a spine and stand up for yourself." Jo advised, putting both hands on her hips.

Mike looked up at Jo longingly, having some hope in his eyes. "Do you think you could help me with that? I mean, you did great helping Staci, maybe you could get me off my feet too?" Mike requested, standing up.

Jo thought for a moment, then just groaned as she saw his longing face. "Fine. But on one condition. You vote with me? Got that? We're down to 5, and the nerds are getting a bit too cozy. You help me swing Lucien to our side and I'll help you." Jo stated her terms seriously.

Mike nodded right away, shaking one of Jo's hands with both of his. "Thank you thank you! Lucien and I are buds sort of, I think I can get him to vote with us! So what do I do first?" Mike asked Jo, much more pepped up.

"First off, you should have said no to that offer, learn to ask for more yeah? But we'll work on that. For the next challenge, you'll just work on cementing yourself as the MVP, even if that means competing with me. No sacrificing yourself crap like last night." Jo explained to him.

Right as Jo said that, the bus pulled up to the sidewalk, with Elroy honking the horn to get everyone's attention. "Everyone hop in! We're heading back to Santa Monica for the challenge!" Elroy called everyone.

Jo punched Mike in the shoulder playfully after that, then began to jog to the sidewalk. "Catch you at the challenge, just grow a spine got it?" Jo told Mike before leaving him behind.

"Oh you bet I will..." Mike said to himself, rubbing his hands wickedly.

-Confessional: Oddball Octopi: Mike-

Mal rubbed his hands together, laughing to himself. "Jo, 'the toughest player in the game', now I've got her under my thumb. She thinks Mike is such a sucker doesn't she? Taking a depressed guy and swinging him into an alliance? Thanks for taking any guilt off of Mike's conscience. Also thanks for giving me your whole plan. I'll play along for now though, it is a solid plan after all, those two nerds are getting too chummy. Eugh."

-End Confessional-

After a much calmer bus ride than last night, the teens were dropped off at a much more lively Santa Monica Pier, where Geoff and Bridgette were waiting for them. "Sup dudes! You ready for today's challenge?" Geoff greeted them with a wide one arm wave.

"Ready as we'll ever be..." Lucien responded groggily, rubbing one eye.

"Ready as we'll ever be!" Brick responded at the same time, giving the hosts a salute.

Bridgette chuckled at their varying responses, then pulled out two swipable cards. "Great! Today's challenge will be much more fun than yesterday's if that wasn't your speed. Along with fishing, the main attraction of Santa Monica Pier is setting the standard for boardwalk amusement! With all the rides and games on here, you'd think you're at a theme park!" Bridgette began to explain the challenge, pointing to the rides behind her.

Mitzy already got excited at this, raising a hand. "Ooh! Are we gonna get to ride the rides this time?" Mitzy asked enthusiastically.

Bridgette nodded her head, reaching into her pocket and pulling out two checklists. "Yup! Your challenge will be to do everything on this checklist! There's 5 tasks for each team, enough for you all to handle things solo, but you can always help each other out. The first team to do everything on the list wins immunity!" Bridgette explained, then handing a list to Brick and Jo.

Brick looked over the checklist, reading over the tasks. "Ride the Pacific Plunge, win a plush from the rope climb stand, reach level 7 in Stratofighters, get a tattoo from one of the pier artists, and survive the Spicy New Orleans Special from Bubba Gump's." Brick read off the list, intrigued by most of them.

"Those are your tasks muchacho! Split it up however you want, and let us know when you're done! Plus we've got the interns roaming around to make sure you guys actually do the challenges. Duncan said you guys might pull a fast one if we didn't do that. So go ahead and start!" Geoff began the challenge, prompting the teens to break off into their teams.

-Confessional: Gallant Gulls: Brick-

Brick rubbed the back of his head, having a confused smile. "Heh, I really haven't been one for leisure. I mean, back at cadets, the most leisure time we had was 30 minutes of police shows in the cafeteria and reading letters. I'll probably just handle the rides if no one else is up to it, that I'm built to brush off like it's nothing!"

-End Confessional-

With the Octopi, Mitzy right away raised a hand. "Ooh! Ooh! Can I be the one who rides the Pacific Plunge? I love rollercoasters!" Mitzy asked excitedly.

Jo looked at the other three members of the team, seeing that none of them were jumping at the opportunity. "You came pretty close to winning the carnival challenge last season, you've probably got this one in the bag. Head back to Bubba Gump's when you're done, we might need you to do two." Jo instructed, to which Mitzy nodded and then gleefully sprinted away.

"I can do the arcade game then, Mitzy and I are both pretty good at those, and with her gone, I'll step up to the plate here!" Arin declared, taking a heroic stance.

"Not gonna fight you on that one, nerd crap is definitely your thing. Anyone else jumping for one of these?" Jo asked the other two, letting Arin dart to the arcade.

Lucien and Mike exchanged a look, with Lucien pointing to Jo. "You can get the tattoo. I know the trick to the rope climb scam stand, so I can do that in no time. Mike just ears the shrimp since that's left over." Lucien suggested, working with the cards they had.

Jo gave Lucien a skeptical look though, before just scoffing. "Really? You'd do a rope climb better than me? You just don't want to get the tattoo! I'm doing the rope climb, you flip a coin or something for who has to get the tattoo." Jo ordered, then jogged away.

Lucien groaned as she left, rubbing the back of his head. "Great... now she'll be stuck at the scam stand forever. We can just order a temporary tattoo probably." Lucien commented droningly.

Mike shrugged, then gestured to Bubba Gump's. "I guess that's easier for you at least! What a sucker Jo is! I'll go try and down that shrimp, good luck with your tattoo!" Mike told Lucien, then turned to head to the restaurant.

"You're in a better mood. I thought you'd still be upset after losing Vanessa and Monica. Guessing you realized what I told you a few days ago made sense?" Lucien remarked, having a light smile at Mike's improved mood.

Mike nodded, giving him a thumbs up. "Yup! Like you said, just leave it in the past since it's not my problem! Thanks again pal!" Mike thanked Lucien, then hurried off.

Lucien blew some of the hair that was in front of his face, dropping his smile as he jogged down the boardwalk to find the tattoo artist.

-Confessional: Oddball Octopi: Lucien-

Lucien had his arms crossed, letting out a yawn. "I didn't tell him that. I told him that his situation with Vanessa and Monica wasn't my problem. Now I'm his pal? Ugh, I can already see what's happening here. One of his personalities is pretending to be him. Can't say I'm surprised, you have all those personalities in your head for so long, they'd probably learn to do a pretty good impression of you."

-End Confessional-

Brick watched the Octopi disperse, then looked to his own team, although Shane spoke up first. "Okay, they're all splitting up, we should definitely do the same so we don't fall behind." Shane suggested to the others.

"Yeah, that makes sense. So who should do what?" Zoey agreed, unsure what would fit who.

"I can do the rope climbing, shouldn't be harder than anything from cadets!" Brick volunteered.

Anne Maria was just glaring at Shane, who was trying to avoid eye contact with her. "Unless Shane is gonna swoop in and be stupid again, I'm takin' the tattoo. That's that." Anne Maria also volunteered, her voice filled with plenty of venom.

"Are you seriously going to keep acting like this? Don't screw over the team just because you're mad." Shane advised, staying calm.

"Because I'm mad!? You ain't gonna just leave me to die and act like I'm the wrong one 'ere!" Anne Maria yelled, shaking up a can of hair spray.

Brick got between them right away, knowing where Anne Maria was going with this. "Hey hey, we're a team! Let's talk this out! What exactly happened?" Brick asked, putting some distance between Anne Maria and Shane.

"The killer was going after us last challenge, I gave up Anne Maria's spot so I could try and get away. It was me or her." Shane answered bluntly.

"He wasn't even goin' after us! This moron just blurted out where I was and left his own hidin' spot the moment the killer passed by! And he thought it was real, so he was just ready to let Red and I die!" Anne Maria gave her side, then gestured to Zoey.

"That is how it went down, but you knew it was just a challenge, right Shane?" Zoey confirmed, looking to Shane doubtfully.

"Of course. Just a challenge. Now let's move on with this one before we fall further behind. I'll handle the drop ride." Shane replied, then began to walk away.

Brick looked conflicted on this, but just nodded. "Good thinking, we can sort this out later. Both of you bring valid points, but I'll get us to a peaceful end! Soldiers, move out!" Brick told the team, then ran off to go do his part.

Zoey looked to the arcade as he and Shane left, chuckling awkwardly. "I guess I'll do the arcade then? I play a lot of fighters, an arcade shooter shouldn't be much trouble? See you later guys!" Zoey told the other two, then jogged away.

Anne Maria grumpily went her own way as well, leaving Mickey alone. "I'm allergic to shrimp..." he muttered to himself as he began to walk to Bubba Gump's.

-Confessional: Gallant Gulls: Anne Maria-

Anne Maria furiously sprayed herself, applying multiple coats of hair spray. "With how that fool acted, ain't no way he thought it was a challenge! He's a smooth talka, but I see right through it! First chance I get, he's outta here!"

-End Confessional-

Mitzy arrived at the Pacific Plunge immediately, with it being a 44 foot high drop ride. The line was somewhat long, although Mitzy just ran close to the front. "Thanks for holding my spot!" Mitzy said to no one, slipping in between families.

Both families heard her, but assumed she was talking to the other, so neither stopped her. "Sam was right, some people really do act like NPCs..." Mitzy whispered to herself, now only 9 people away from getting on the drop ride.

Jo was quick to reach the rope climb stand as well, where a shaggy brown haired carney in red and white was leaning next to a ladder that led to a teetering rope bridge. "This is the rope climb right?" Jo asked the carney as she arrived.

"Yessiree! This here is the rope climber that would make even Alex Hannold weep! Think you can cross the bridge?" the carney greeted Jo, tipping his straw hat.

"Yeah, don't know who Alex Handjob is, but I can handle an 8 foot bridge, even a toddler could." Jo remarked, pointing at herself.

The carney snickered, then stepped aside so Jo could climb the ladder. "If you say so, give it a whirl!" the carney told Jo, a wide grin on his face now.

Jo climbed the ladder quickly, then gripped the rope ladder bridge to go across. Not even a foot onto the bridge though, it flipped over and dropped Jo into the foam pit below. "What was that!?" Jo let out angrily.

"Just the bridge being itself, it's a challenge not many can conquer! Except toddlers apparently!" the carney responded, laughing afterward.

Jo scowled, getting out the foam pit to take another attempt when Brick then arrived. "Oh! Another challenger! Step right up sir, see if you can conquer the rope ladder!" the carney greeted Brick.

"Sir yes sir!" Brick saluted the carney, then climbed up the metal ladder to get to the rope one while Jo just watched, now much more annoyed.

Brick got a solid grip on the rope ladder as he crawled onto his and began to make his way forward, although like with Jo, it flipped and caused him to quickly fall into the foam bit. "Drats! This is one of those carnival tricks to make it as hard as possible huh?" Brick remarked as he climbed out.

The carney nodded, and Jo stepped up to the metal ladder. "Why don't you just turn off whatever is making it flip so violently then? We're just here to get a plush and leave, we don't have time for stupid crap like this!" Jo requested.

The carney kept a smug grin though and just shook his head. "Everyone comes here to win one of the Peekomon plushes. That'd defeat the point if there was no challenge. Besides, there's nothing to turn off! Up to you sports to figure out how to get across!" the carney explained, then just leaned against the wall of electric rodent plushies on hooks.

Jo groaned, then climbed onto the rope ladder to take another go. This time, she lunged forward to get a head start, although as soon as she did so, the rope ladder flipped over when she landed and dropped her into the foam pit. "Dang it! I'm going to get one of those plushes, just you wait!" Jo declared as she indignantly climbed out of the kiddie foam pit.

Once Jo got out and Brick began his second attempt, she groaned once more as she saw multiple kids lining up to try the challenge. "Little kids are watching me screw this up, crud..." Jo swore under her breath as she got in the back of the line.

Lucien walked up to one of the tattoo artists that set up shop on the pier, giving a bored wave to the artist. "Oh, you're that kid from Total Drama, Ezekiel right?" the artist asked, being a large bearded man wearing a painter's cap, tan shirt, jeans, and brown apron.

Lucien shook his head, facepalming. "Nope. Lucien. Here for a temporary tattoo of a drop of water." Lucien cut right to the point, sitting down on their stool.

"Lucien? Ohhhhh, my mistake! Just remembered you being one of the kids that left first. So just a simple tattoo? What's the occasion?" the artist asked, turning on his needle.

This of course, just dampened Lucien's mood further. "I feel like it." Lucien just answered, keeping a bored look.

Anne Maria arrived soon after though, angrily sitting down on the other stool and crossing her arms. "Tattoo, now! I want a bow and arrow on the left, make it snappy!" Anne Maria ordered, pointing to the spot near the top of her left arm.

Seeing both of them here, the artist pieced two and two together. "Ahhh, it's a challenge! I'll take care of both of you evenly then!" the artist told them both, his needle now ready for tattoing.

"You serious!? I need to win this thing, or else that uptight Shane is gonna smooth talk the team into votin' me off!" Anne Maria complained.

Lucien just shrugged, rolling his sleeve up for the tattoo. "If he's doing us evenly, we tie. So please stop complaining, you aren't losing here." Lucien stated, rubbing one eye with his spare hand.

"And why do you care? You ain't even on my team! What kinda hustle are you runnin'?" Anne Maria asked him sharply.

"The kind where I get to take a nap during this, which involves you not complaining. Later." Lucien replied, then closed his eyes.

Anne Maria rolled her eyes at this, before reaching over and poking his shoulder. "Before you do that though, I wanna make a deal with ya." Anne Maria began to offer.

Lucien opened his eyes back up, not looking at all interested. "What kind? 'You ain't even on my team', what would I want out of a deal." Lucien reiterated her words to show his disinterest.

"There's 10 of us left, we ain't gonna be in teams forever. So if we're both here when we merge, truce? I ain't gonna vote for you if you don't vote for me. No strategizin', we just don't vote for each other and keep it between us." Anne Maria proposed.

"Yeah sure, just let me catch my nap and you've got a deal." Lucien accepted it quickly, then closed his eyes again while Anne Maria silently pumped a fist.

-Confessional: Gallant Gulls: Anne Maria-

Anne Maria had a smirk on her face, resting a hand on her cheek. "Yeah, I ain't slowin' down with these deals. Keepin' these things to just two people the best way to go, and if I just keep makin' 'em, by the time the merge comes, no one is even gonna think of targeting me! I just gotta get Shane out of here and then I can just bask my way to the finale! Oh yeah baby, your girl is takin' it to the top~"

Inside the pier arcade, Arin was at one of the cabinets for Stratofighters, playing through level 3 and still having all of her lives. "Aaaaand got the weapon upgrade, might as well call this level vanquished already!" Arin declared as she began to unload on the enemies.

Zoey peeked over at Arin's screen after losing all her lives, amazed by how well she was playing the shooter. "You're really good at that, is there a trick to it?" Zoey asked in amazement.

Arin shrugged, just mashing the fire button at the moment. "Got plenty of video game experience, so retro vertical shooters like this one and Xevious aren't much of a challenge. But an easy trick is to hug the walls, most of the enemies spawn in the center or just don't ever go to the edges period due to how loading zones work." Arin explained, hugging the wall and spamming a wide shot at the moment.

"Hug the wall? Doesn't that take longer though? You'd have to wait for everything to come into range." Zoey pointed out.

Arin chuckled, then gestured to Zoey's game over screen. "Well one of us still has all their lives halfway through the challenge and one of us has to start over. Hey, just be glad I'm not Jo, she'd never tell you how to do this!" Arin remarked, then focused on the screen once more.

Zoey laughed with Arin, now starting up another game. "Hug the wall... okay, thanks Arin!" Zoey thanked Arin as she now used the strat given to her.

-Confessional: Oddball Octopi: Arin-

Arin had one closed fist on her chest, smiling proudly. "A fame chaser doesn't reveal their secrets and instead just rides out their info as much as they can. A heroic gamer shares their knowledge and allows those out of the loop to prosper! Sam told me a much simpler version of it, but it doesn't really fit my heroic mantra y'know? So I'll stand for good and provide game advice, even for the other team! It's the right thing to do!"

Over in Bubba Gump's Mike was already seated and waiting for his shrimp to arrive, while Mickey was still waiting to be seated, fidgeting anxiously. "If I have an allergic attack, they won't vote me off right? I just wish Jay was here for advice..." Mickey mulled over with himself.

The hostess soon came back to the lobby though, gesturing for Mickey to follow her. "You're the other Total Drama kid right? We've got your friend already seated, he said you can sit with him." the hostess told Mickey.

Mickey perked up at this, then smiled when he saw Mike waving to him from one of the booths. "Hey pal! Losing because the waiter couldn't serve you fast enough didn't seem fair, so I told the hostess you could sit with me!" Mike enthusiastically greeted Mickey.

Mickey sat down across from Mike, still a little bit anxious. "Thanks Mike! But, I don't even know if I'll be able to do this honestly. Jay and I have an allergy to most seafood, including shrimp. The rest of my team just kinda went and did their own things." Mickey explained.

Mike raised an eyebrow at this, then looked out the window to see if any of the Gulls were nearby. "Well, maybe you could just wait for one of them to show up? One of 'em will probably be fast enough to come eat some shrimp." Mike suggested.

"Wouldn't they get mad I sat here and did nothing though? They booted off Jay for not being helpful, what if they do the same thing to me?" Mickey asked nervously.

"Don't worry pal, you can trust me. They've got other people they're targeting right now." Mike replied confidently.

Mickey was still unsure of what to do, so he just nodded his head and stayed quiet after that. "Two orders of the Spicy New Orleans Special! We brought some milk too, just in case!" the waitress exclaimed as she set down two trays in front of the boys.

Mike gave the waitress a thumbs up, and Mickey gulped as he saw the shrimp in front of him. "No pressure dude, this is the quickest one, so your team can probably cover it for you. I'd say just wait." Mike again advised, before grabbing one of the sauce covered shrimp bites and taking a bite.

Mike's face quickly turned red, and he immediately downed one of the glasses of milk. He coughed afterward, his hair falling back down for a second. He raised it back up to Mike's normal style though, then just chuckled. "WOW, that is spicier that I expected! I thought I was going to choke on flames!" Mike let out, taking a few deep breaths.

"I think I'll just wait..." Mickey commented, leaning back in his seat and refusing to touch the shrimp.

-Confessional: Gallant Gulls: Mike-

Mal rubbed his hands together, then flicked another shrimp bite into his mouth, not being phased at all. "Just wait and let us zoom into the lead. Without his twin around, he's so much more willing to do what others tell him. It's kind of sad, but oh so good for me. If by some stroke of luck he merges, I think 'Mike' has a new friend and ally to carry with him, hehe..."

Over at the Pacific Plunge, Shane had about 40 people ahead of him in line, all of them eager to get on the ride. "Waiting in line, riveting challenge guys..." he muttered to himself as all he could do was stand and keep his place.

Shane looked up at the people ride, watching the kids, teens, and parents all enjoying themselves as the ride rose and dropped them down. Most of them that is, some of them were scared out of their minds and screaming the whole time. The 16 person ride soon reached the loading deck, and the people on it were let out. "Ugh... and I have three more cycles of this. At least it's easy." Shane complained to himself, watching as 16 more riders got on and moved the line forward.

His mood worsened when he saw Mitzy step off the deck and onto the boardwalk, having a big smile on her face. "You! How did you get on so fast!? We left less than a minute apart!" Shane called to her.

Mitzy heard Shane, then giggled. "Oh, I just slipped in with another family, you've never done that? I mean, it's a little sneaky I admit, but I'm just one person, no biggie! You're gonna love the ride by the way, it's so much fun! See you Shane!" Mitzy explained to him, then hurried off towards the stairwell on the side of the pier.

Shane watched her leave, a little confused to where she was going and very upset with how she did this. "Great, that wooby finished before me. I better not have to explain this to the others... where is she even going?" Shane pondered, now just looking up at the ride again and silenty praying it went faster.

-Confessional: Oddball Octopi: Mitzy-

Mitzy had her hands behind her back, giggling a little. "I know I could tell the others that I already finished, but this is some prime alone time! I hope the others haven't found it yet, but Bridgette did say that there was an idol hidden somewhere on the beach! If I find it, Brava and I would be safe for a good while! It'd be better if I found it than one of the jerks like Shane or Jo. The villains always find the idols in these kinds of things, you'd think it's rigged for them!"

Over at the tattoo stand, both of the players were getting their tattoos done at the same time, with the artist alternating between them. "It's kind of easier like this, lets the ink dry a bit quick when I go back and forth." the artist told them, currently working on Anne Maria's arm, making an arrow.

"It'd be better if you finished mine first, he's asleep over there, probably wouldn't even notice if I left first." Anne Maria remarked, keeping her voice down as she pointed to Lucien with her other arm.

As soon as she said that though, the artist frowned and just switched off her arm and began to work on Lucien's tattoo instead. His water droplet was also on his arm, just near his shoulder so he could easily cover it. "Aaaand that's a water droplet done! You're good to go bud!" the artist told Lucien.

Lucien woke up instantly, then rolled his sleeve down. "...you smeared it..." the artist let out, his mood instantly ruined.

"Eh. I'll think of some story for that." Lucien replied, not really caring.

"Hey! You said you'd do ours evenly! You ain't even started the bow on mine!" Anne Maria complained as Lucien got up from his stool.

Lucien chuckled, shrugging as he passed by her. "You should have just asked for something simple then. A water drop isn't even a full circle. So see ya, I earned a nap somewhere actually nap worthy." Lucien told her, leaving Anne Maria more bitter as the artist got back to work on her arm.

Back in the arcade, Arin began to celebrate, catching Zoey's attention. "Boom! First try! Those corrupt satellites threw me for a loop, but nothing stops this hero!" Arin declared, pumping a fist in the air.

Zoey was only on level 4, steering her ship past birds and planes while shooting down aliens. "Wait, did you already finish?" Zoey asked Arin.

Zoey peeked over at Arin's screen, seeing the nerd park her ship in the space station. The game then switched from being a vertical shooter and went into a first person perspective. "I see why they wanted us to stop here, it was already tough as is, but I can imagine the first person sections on an arcade machine would just be agonizing." Arin commented.

Zoey sighed, then looked back at her screen and gasped when she saw that she had already been shot down in the short span that she looked away from the screen. "No! I forgot you can't pause here!" Zoey cried out, with the cabinet now starting back up at level 1.

Arin died pretty quickly in her game as well, with aliens overwhelming her in the first person mode right off the bat. "Ah well. I got the challenge done at least. I'll go see if my team needs my help! Good luck Zoey!" Arin told Zoey, then hurried out of the arcade.

Zoey waved, then let out another sigh. "I hope the others are faring better, this might take a while. Maybe Mickey is done already?" Zoey said to herself, starting another run at Stratofighters.

As Arin stepped out of the arcade, Mike walked out of Bubba Gump's across the boardwalk at the same time. "Oh hey Mike! You're done too? Awesome! Did Mitzy come by yet?" Arin asked him.

Mike shook his head, then gestured to where all the rides were. "No, I think she's still at the ride, the lines here are pretty long." Mike answered.

Arin nodded, then began to jog ahead. "Alright, let's go see how Jo and Lucien are doing then, I'll let them know we're done! Can you tell Mitzy to meet us over by the vendor stands?" Arin requested.

Mike gave Arin a thumbs up, then began to run toward the rides. "Yup, see you there!" Mike went with the idea, and the two quickly split up.

-Confessional: Oddball Octopi: Mike-

Mike again laughed, shaking his head. "This is a huge ride with a huge line we're talking about, of course Mitzy is still stuck on it. This gives me plenty of time to go looking for that idol. If any of these guys wise up and try to target 'Mike' for whatever reason, I need insurance."

At the rope climbing stand, both Jo and Brick had now failed several times to even last more than 10 seconds on the rope bridge. "This is bull! No one here has beaten it! Not even the snot nosed kids who are supposed to be experts at this kind of crap!" Jo complained, standing in line and watching a 6 year old fall into the foam pit immediately.

"Maybe don't swear around the children..." Brick reminded her in a hushed voice, looking back.

"I'll say what I want! This is bull, so I'm calling it like it is, you want me to get more extreme?" Jo snapped back, not in the mood to be told what to do.

Brick shook his head right away, backing away from Jo. "Okay okay. Well there's got to be a way to do this, they wouldn't give us an impossible challenge. Let's think this over together." Brick began to brainstorm.

"Together? We're on different teams, I'll plan my attack on that thing by myself, thank you." Jo retorted, looking straight forward.

That was until Lucien walked up to the stand, smirking when he saw that Jo was still there. "Knew it. I'll do this." Lucien told Jo, getting in line right in front of her.

"Hey! Cutter!" one of the children cried out.

"I'm with them." Lucien told the kid bluntly, gesturing to Brick and Jo.

"Oh no you aren't, I'm going to win us this challenge!" Jo corrected Lucien angrily.

Lucien shook his head, still smirking. "You weren't going to figure this out on your own. These things are designed to scam hotheads like you. Just shut it and accept help for once." Lucien told her, then just put his hands in his pockets as he waited for his turn.

It wasn't long before Anne Maria and Arin arrived as well, seeing that neither Jo or Brick had finished the rope climb. "You kiddin' me? Took longer for us to get a tattoo than for y'all to finish a kiddie game?" Anne Maria commented, giving Brick a look.

"This bridge is flimsier than anything back at cadets, even Jo couldn't do it! None of these kids have either!" Brick defended himself.

Arin walked over to Jo and Lucien, having a confident smile. "Mike and I are done, and you've got your tattoo, so I think it's just this and Mitzy's ride now that we're waiting on. We've got this in the bag, dare I say, the challenge is already over!" Arin told them proudly.

"Did Zoey or Mickey finish? I know those two were with you guys." Brick asked Arin.

Arin shook her head, her smile still present. "Zoey was still in the arcade when I last left, although I don't know about Mickey." Arin answered, which sprouted worried looks on Brick and Anne Maria.

It was now Lucien's turn on the rope climb, and he just did a quick stretch as he stepped up to the ladder. "Watch and learn." Lucien told Jo as he climbed up.

Lucien stepped onto the rope bridge once he was up there, taking a tripod stance and sticking his rear up. As soon as the carney let Lucien start, he began to move both arms forward, releasing and grabbing the bridge at the same time with both hands. He then shifted his legs up at the exact same time as well, keeping a perfect center of balance while keeping his rear up to make that easier.

Jo had a skeptical smirk first, quickly turning to embarrassment as Lucien crossed the bridge with ease, then rolled her eyes as he rang the bell at the end of the bridge. "Looks like we have a winner, take a plush of your choice son!" the carney declared, standing aside so Lucien could grab one of them.

Lucien hopped off the bridge and grabbed one of the electric rodent plushies, still smirking at Jo. "How did you do that so easily!?" Jo let out, dumbfounded by how easy he made it look.

"I can nap pretty much anywhere, my balance is amazing. Just be happy I was on this team and not with them, doubt any of them would have figured it out." Lucien explained to her, hugging his prize.

As soon as he, Jo, and Arin walked away from the stand and Brick got ready to take his attempt, the loudspeakers that normally played music on the boardwalk were taken over by Geoff and Bridgette. "Special announcement! I need all the members of the Oddball Octopi and the Gallant Gulls to meet at the entrance of the pier! Be there pronto!" Geoff announced to everyone, including the public.

-Confessional: Oddball Octopi: Lucien-

Lucien facepalmed, before his smirk appeared on his face again. "That was fun. I normally don't get invested in these kinds of things, but something about one-upping Jo is pretty satisfying. No hard feelings to her, but she makes herself pretty punchable sometimes."

-End Confessional-

At the entrance of the pier, the teams, the hosts, and several fans had now gathered up. Oliver, Elroy, and Irene were doing their best to hold off the fans though, while Bridgette was giving Geoff an annoyed look. "Did you have to call the teams by name?" Bridgette asked him.

"I didn't think we had so many fans here Bridge! Besides, they're being pretty cool right now!" Geoff defended his action, not too worried.

"Anne Maria slayyyy! Don't let them rob you this season!" one fan shouted.

"Step on me Jo!" another fan screamed.

Jo looked back uncomfortably, seeing an obese fan drooling at the sight of her. "Uhh, I'd threaten to beat that guy up, but I think he'd be into it..." Jo muttered, then looked away from him.

"You bet I'm gonna slay! I do it every day!" Anne Maria happily encouraged the fan cheering.

Bridgette sighed, now wanting to just hurry this along. "I'm sure you already know by now, but the Oddball Octopi won this challenge in a landslide! The Gulls only got the tattoo and shrimp done while the Octopi finished all 5 tasks. So you'll have to send someone home tonight!" Bridgette announced, which disappointed the Gulls and got a mix of cheers and boos from the crowd.

Ted then arrived, pushing Mickey in a wheelchair with an IV attached to him. "Mickey!? What happened to you!?" Zoey cried out.

"He had an allergic reaction to the shrimp. He'll just be in here recovering for a bit." Ted told them, handing the wheelchair handles over to Brick.

"I'm... bgah... quick healer..." Mickey sputtered out, his eyes and voice all woozy at the moment.

Mitzy nodded her head, looking to the Gulls. "Yeah! He and Jay actually visit their local hospital a ton, so they recover super fast from this kind of stuff, that's what he told us, so you don't need to kick him off!" Mitzy confirmed Mickey's sputter.

"Mhmm! No need for an indignant exit!" Arin also confirmed.

"Even with that... do we still let him compete? He's nearly died twice now. I think it might be best to just vote him off." Brick advised, looking at Mickey spasming in his chair and feeling a pang of guilt.

"Yeah, I ain't feelin' right about this." Anne Maria agreed with him.

A horn toot came after that, with Brody pulling up to the curb in a bus. "Come on dudes! We gotta leave these roadies behind!" Brody called to them.

"I'll get him onto the bus, this is gonna be a tough ceremony..." Brick told the rest of the team, then walked ahead with Anne Maria to get on the bus with the Octopi, who were in much better spirits.

Zoey was about to follow them, but Shane grabbed her arm. "Hey, quick side chat before we get on. I think we need to vote for Brick." Shane whispered to her.

"B-Brick? But why? He's so nice and he's such a good leader. I thought you wanted to vote off Anne Maria." Zoey reminded him.

"I did, but after today, Brick has got to go. Why did he let Mickey do the shrimp challenge if he was allergic? Plus, he wasn't even able to do the rope climb despite being a cadet. I actually care about this team. If I didn't, I'd just vote for Anne Maria. But she actually finished her challenge, so it wouldn't be fair. Same for Mickey, he did his challenge too. Brick just isn't cutting it." Shane explained, sounding almost angry.

Zoey thought it over, rubbing one arm. "I just don't know... Brick has been really nice to me, he's made me feel really welcome here. I don't know if I can vote for him." Zoey told Shane sadly.

"He's got a big heart, but he doesn't have big leadership skills or challenge help. He wants to just boot Mickey over his own mistake. This is for the good of the team. At least think about it okay?" Shane told her, then walked ahead to get on the bus, leaving Zoey conflicted.

-Confessional: Oddball Octopi: Zoey-

Zoey twiddled her thumbs, biting her lip. "I like Brick a lot! I don't think I can eliminate him. I know Shane is looking out for me as a friend, but Brick probably didn't even know Mickey was allergic! Mickey doesn't need to go through this pain either, it's not fair to him either. I know he'd be upset at getting voted off, but maybe it's for the best? I just don't know..."

-End Confessional-

Later that night, the 5 members of the Gallant Gulls were gathered at the elimination ceremony area on the beach, with the neon green lights shining down on them from the garlands. In the front row sat Zoey and Mickey, still in his wheelchair and leaning back and forth drunkenly. In the back sat Shane, Brick, and Anne Maria, all looking on with uncertainty. Geoff and Bridgette were on the other side of the bonfire, neither looking too comfortable with this ceremony either.

"Hey guys, sorry you're here again, maybe three in a row is it? Hopefully this vote sorts out whatever problems you have." Bridgette greeted them, holding the ballot box.

Geoff stood next to the cooler, already holding the first soda can. "Yeah dudes, there's always next time! But we gotta send one of you home tonight, so let's get to it! Read out the results Bridge!" Geoff said much more optimistically.

Bridgette looked at all the votes, then put them back in the box. "Soda cans of safety go to..."

Zoey caught her can, refusing to look at the others on the team and instead just looking at the sand.

"Shane."

Shane cracked open his soda can right after catching it, already knowing he was going to be safe.

"Anne Maria."

Anne Maria was pleasantly surprised, almost failing to catch her soda can. She cracked it open, drinking from it right away.

That left Brick and Mickey in the bottom two, neither of them confident that they'd survive this vote. Brick rested his hands on his knees, looking on doubtfully, while Mickey's eyes widened in fear and he got more jittery in his wheelchair. "Brick, Mickey, one of you is ending their run here. Things are a little touchy, so I don't think we need to go over why you're here..." Bridgette told them, looking at Mickey with pity.

Geoff had the final soda can ready, looking between the two of them. "Which of them are safe Bridge?" Geoff asked her, still holding a small smile.

"The last soda can goes to..."

"Mickey."

Brick gasped as the final soda can was tossed to Mickey, which ended up hitting him in the stomach and knocked some of the wind out of him. "Whoops... sorry dude." Geoff apologized as Mickey keeled over.

Brick sighed as he got up from his seat, looking to the other three. "I guess I could have prevented this. Mickey did his part. I... I couldn't even do a rope climb! What kind of soldier am I? I deserve this." Brick conceded, then began to walk up the sand to head to the sidewalk.

"Brick no-" Zoey began to say, but Brick cut her off.

"No, I failed all of you. We've been on a losing streak because of me, this was the best course of action. Thank you for recognizing that! Best of luck to all of you, I can only hope one from our platoon makes it to the finale! Farewell!" Brick waved goodbye to the team, then left with a teary smile.

The Bus of Losers was already waiting for him, so Brick just got on and was taken away just like that. "I'll wheel Mickey back to the huts." Shane told the rest of the team as he now stood up.

"Yeah, you guys can head back to your huts now. Let us know if Mickey needs anything. We need him to be better by morning or else he can't compete." Bridgette told them, prompting Zoey and Anne Maria to get up as well.

"I'll... fine." Mickey sputtered out, still clutching his stomach.

Zoey caught up to Shane and walked alongside him as he wheeled Mickey back to the huts, while Anne Maria just shook a can of hair spray and began to apply it. The other three weren't looking back, so they couldn't see her glaring daggers at them as she began to already crush her can with one hand while clenching her other fist. "Don't think I ain't seein' what's goin' on 'ere..." Anne Maria whispered, cursing under her breath.

As they left, Geoff and Bridgette now faced the camera. "That's it for Brick! He left with his head held high, even if he wasn't happy with it. Better than leaving kicking and screaming! But who will leave next time? Will Mickey be better? And will Jo and Lucien hash things out? Find out next time, on Total Drama Malibu!" Bridgette wrapped up the episode, with her and Geoff raising the arms during the zoom out before it faded to black.

Author's Note:

I know I know, Brick leaving in the pre merge again? What's going on here? Well to be honest, I never planned to have him return in All Stars, and his plotline with Zoey was only going to get him so far. For a second season, being a softie and having a strong honor code is just a handicap when people are playing more strategically. He still lasted longer in here than in Reloaded, but he just isn't a late gamer unless the plot revolves around him with this cast. I hope you all enjoyed this episode, be sure to leave a review, and I'll see you all next time!
