I felt too horrible not uploading in a while, so I decided to try and put something together to upload today. Like I said before, I'm trying to reread all the Harry Potter books so I'm correct with everything I'm writing. I've finally read up to where we are right now with the story so uploads should be coming faster now. Some of you might enjoy the topic of this chapter, some of you may be kind of annoyed that I've brought this up, but hey. That's the great thing about writing your own stories, you can do whatever the flip you want. Anyway, um, like I said, things should be coming along faster now, it's just taking a lot longer than I thought it would to get to where I want to go. You know how it is. Anyway, enough rambling, here's another chapter.

"Mr Pucey, whether you get along with the rest of the team or not, I must ask you to play for the Slytherin quidditch team this year. I'm not having Mcgonagall have another year of bragging rights because the captain is incapable of distinguishing the difference between a talented player and a savage boor intent on murdering the other team." Snape rounded on Adrian, who was sitting, arms crossed, in a chair in Snape's office.
"Having a chaser which the entire team despises too much to even pass the quaffle isn't exactly going to increase our chances of winning the cup, sir." Adrian reasoned defensively.
"Yes, and I'll be talking to them about it, too. You have no choice in the matter of playing, so I suggest you prepare yourself for nightly practices."
"What the fuck…" Hannah began, before Snape shot her a dangerous glare.
"I don't care how fair it is on you, Mr Pucey, one teacher talking down to me is enough to suffice for a lifetime." Snape drawled, referring to Umbridge. Hannah rolled her eyes from the other side of the room.
"Fine." Adrian resigned. Snape gave a mischievous smirk.
"You made the right choice. Now I suggest you get back to your common room before Umbridge notices you out at this time." With that, Adrian left the room, while Snape looked completely victorious.
"Unnecessary." Hannah stated after the door closed.
"Completely necessary." Snape shot back.
"He told me he basically loathed the quidditch team last time I talked to him about it." Hannah complained.
"So you're interested in quidditch?"
"I never said that."
"But you talked to him about quidditch?"
"I talk to him about everything." Snape stared at Hannah for a short moment, before giving a small smirk.
"Okay, then." He said, in an oddly amused voice, before walking into his room.

Adrian entered the common room, and sat himself in the corner of the room with a book like he always did. The common room had the usual occupants in it, Draco, Pansy, Crabbe, and Goyle lounging all over the largest couches, while all the younger Slytherins scattered out of the way of anyone older than themselves.
"I haven't seen her come in here since." Adrian overheard Pansy talking.
"I've seen her come out of Snape's room heaps of times." Crabbe grunted.
"Yeah what's with that? And now Snape's gone all soft. He didn't even take points off that oh so golden threesome last lesson." Malfoy drawled.
"Maybe they've got something going on between them?" Goyle butted in, hopefully.
"Get off it." Malfoy snapped.
"There's no way she's straight anyway." Pansy added. The boys quickly snapped their heads up to look at Pansy, including Adrian.
"How do you know that?" Draco's eyes widened.
"It's pretty obvious. No straight girl has short hair and dresses like that." Pansy gave a sly smirk. Adrian's hands had subconsciously tightened around his book.
"How the fuck," Adrian snapped, "does how one look determine their sexual orientation?"
"Why? Are you and her lesbian buddies?" Pansy retorted, sending her friends into fits of laughter.
"That doesn't even make sense." Adrian narrowed his eyes.
"Neither is being friends with some ugly little lesbian girl." Pansy continued to stir. Adrian dug his nails into his hand, before withdrawing them with great difficulty. He wasn't going to sit there listening to some idiotic 5th years analyse somebody they don't even know, and he wasn't going to let them drive him into retaliating. He scooped his books up without another word, and left the common room.

A knocking on the door drew Hannah's attention away from her drawing. "Go hide into your room and don't come out until I say you can." Snape said, as he emerged from his rooms to open the door. Snape waited for the sound of Hannah's door shutting, before opening the door to his quarters.
"Can I please come in?" Adrian said, his eyes pleading.
"I expect a good reason." Snape drawled, while moving aside to let Adrian in.
"Where's Hannah?" Adrian anxiously asked.
"Asleep, so if that's why you're here…"
"No. I don't want to talk to Hannah." Adrian quickly added. "Can you please add an Imperturbable charm on her door?" He asked, so Hannah couldn't overhear the conversation they were about to have.
"Very well." Snape said, as he waved his wand in the direction of her door. "What is it you want to speak to me about so desperately?"
"Well, it's not a desperate matter, but, just, let me explain from the start." Snape nodded in encouragement. "I was in the common room when I overheard Draco's lot talking about Hannah. I admittedly got a bit aggravated about what they said, so decided to leave instead of retaliating. That's the reason I left the common room. The reason I came here is because something they said triggered my curiosity. A curiosity about something I don't want to directly talk to Hannah about, but someone who knows her well."
"I ensure you that I don't know Miss Byron well." Snape added.
"Yes, but you've seen her general behaviour more than anyone else here." Snape looked at Adrian curiously.
"And what is it you wanted to know?" Snape asked, without any bitterness in his voice.
"I was just wondering, if you know if Hannah's interested in males or females?" Adrian voiced, awkwardly. Snape gave a small smile.
"What do you think?" Snape's smile still apparent.
"I honestly wouldn't know." Adrian answered truthfully.
"I can assure you, Mr Pucey, that Hannah's sexual orientation is in your favour, whatever that favour may be." Adrian looked up at Snape, smirking back. "Is that all you wanted to know?"
"Yes. Thank you." Adrian answered.
"Then I suggest you go back to your common room." Snape said, before Adrian stood up to walk to the door. "Mr Pucey," Snape started, causing Adrian to turn around. "Just so you know, she talks about you a lot more than you think." Adrian smiled widely, before leaving the room.
