Mia looked at Hotch and said, "let's hope that when they go check out the lead I gave them that they find the twins, then we can find out if it was in fact them that drugged Derek, killed Penelope thus framing Derek for everything". Hotch said, "so far they are our best lead, everybody else is accounted for", Fran shook her head and said, "Derek only killed their father in self defense, right?", Hotch and Dave in unison said, "yes".
Fran said, "then why, I don't understand", Dave said, "Bella, people grieve different and they think that Derek purposely killed their father, ending their family and since for the most part the only people left int he family, other that the cousin are the twins". Mia said, "it makes perfect sense, they think that if they can pull this off that they are getting the ultimate revenge on Derek for what he did to them and their father".
Dave shook his head and said, "why not come after the rest of us, we were with span Derek that day, but, instead of that, they take out the heart and soul of not only our team but "Derek also". Fran said, "she was an amazing woman, I so wanted her to be my daughter-in-law and give me beautiful grand babies with my baby boy", Dave said, "we all wanted that Bella".
Hotch said, "I believe that one of the main things Derek is regretting right now is that he didn't tell her that he was in love with her", Dave said, "that's what I think too Aaron, I mean their chemistry is like none other, period". Fran said, "it was so obvious that my son was head over heels in love with her, she's all he could talk about, it was baby girl said this or baby girl did that and he was smiling the entire time and with him that speaks volumes".
Mia said, "I know that you all need to go to the viewing, so go, I'll stay here with Derek, Fran said, "it just breaks my heart that we have to go see her that way, when, when she should be here with us, alive and well". Hotch stood up and said, "I better go home, get changed, pick up Em and head to the funeral home", Fran said, "what about Jack?", he shook his head no and said, "Em and I decided that Jack would stay with the nanny tonight, he knows that she's gone and it's so so hard for him".
Dave said, "for Henry too, JJ and Reid aren't going to let Henry go either, he'll be staying with his nanny for the evening", Fran said, "I was with those two beautiful babies when they were told, it broke my heart to have to see them go through that". Mia sat listening as Fran said, "they were begging their mommies to please ask Penelope to come back from heaven", silent tears slid down their faces, they are completely devastated, they loved her so much".
Hotch said, "she was like a super hero to them, she was their fairy Godmother, a real princess and they'll never get over losing her", Dave said, "maybe with time Aaron", he said, "I hope so Dave, I truly hope so". Mia watched as they stood up and walked across the room to the door, when he put his hand on the door Hotch turned around and said, "if there are any chances, don't hesitate to call me", she nodded her head yes and watched as they stepped out into the hall, closing the door behind them.
A few minutes later Derek started moaning, Mia looked at him and could tell he was having a nightmare, he was saying, "don't, don't hurt her, noooooo, baby girl, I'm so sorry, I'm so sorry".
Derek was seeing everything happening again, seeing the love of his life getting slapped in the face, getting hit on the back of the head, getting raped and it was just, well it was just too much and his eyes flew open and he screamed, NOOOOOOOOOOOO".
