Caroline Bonnie and Elena all were hanging out in Elena's room after school. It was Friday afternoon and Caroline is just a few hours away from finally introducing Stefan to her mom the Sheriff and she's very nervous.

" I am sure everything is gonna go fine tonight and your mom is gonna love Stefan. Elena said as she joined her friends on her bed." You got nothing to worry about."

Caroline sighs as she nods her head." Yeah, I guess you're right. So, who are you bringing to the founders ball at the Lockwood's tomorrow night?" Caroline is already bringing Stefan she's just curious who Elena was bringing.

Elena just shrugged her shoulders as she shook her head." I am not sure, I was thinking of asking Matt."

" Matt? I thought you would be taking Damon, seeing your interested in him. Besides Matt isn't even one of the founder families." Caroline responded in confusion.

" Yeah, well I was interested in Damon until I realized he's too old for me and well maybe I'm not quite over Matt just yet." Of course Elena was totally lying and using Matt as an excuse, and she does feel guilty about it. But it's the only way to keep her mind off of Damon, which hasn't been easy.

" Well, Matt is safer anyways and Damon isn't. Trust me, go with Matt." Caroline says nodding her head in agreement. She then turned her attention to Bonnie." Who are you bringing Bonnie?" She asked.

" Bonnie don't answer that yet. Caroline, what do you mean Matt is safe and Damon isn't? Are you trying to tell me Damon is dangerous or something?" Elena asked as she brought her brows together.

Caroline promised she would keep Stefan's secret which includes Damon's and as much as she wants to tell her best friends who they really are especially for Elena's safety. Caroline just can't, so she had to think of something.

" All I am saying is that you should be careful when you're around Damon Salvatore and I personally think Matt is safe because he always made you feel safe and I always thought you guys made a cute couple." Caroline responded with a shrug and a smile.

" Now, back to my question Bonnie. Who are you taking tomorrow night?" Caroline asked repeating her question as she was done talking about Damon Salvatore right now.

" Honestly, I don't know. I was actually thinking of just skipping it tonight." Bonnie has just discovered she was a witch but not just any kind of witch. A Bennett witch with powers, powers she doesn't have no control over and she's afraid if she goes to the founders ball tomorrow night, she might make a mistake and burn the Lockwood's home down just like she burned that at the carwash a few days ago, just by using her powers.

" Oh, come On Bonnie. You gotta come. Besides what are you planning on doing on a Saturday night, spend time with your grams again?" Caroline asked with sarcasm and a chuckle.

" As a matter of fact, I am. She has new baking recipes that I wanna try." Bonnie says basically lying. But hopefully they couldn't tell. Bonnie knows she wants to tell them her secret, but she just isn't ready yet.

After a couple more hours of chatting and mostly talking about anything and everything besides what's going on tomorrow night. Caroline heard her text message alert pop up. She pulled her cell out of her purse and saw it was from her mom.

" Hey, guys. I gotta go. I gotta get home and help my mom prepare dinner before Stefan comes over, which will be soon." Caroline said as she jumped off of Elena's bed and grabs her jacket and car keys.

" Good luck!" Both Bonnie and Elena said at the same time as Caroline left the room.

" What you doing?" Bonnie asked as she noticed Elena grabbed the cordless phone from her desk." Who are you calling?" She asked in confusion.

" I am calling Damon." Elena responded as she dialed Damon's number and placed the receiver up against her ear as she waits for him to answer.

" Why, are you calling...?" But Bonnie was cut off when Elena started to talk on the phone.

" Hey, Damon..."

" What else can you tell me about Stefan?" Liz Forbes asked. Both her and Caroline was in their kitchen cooking dinner before Stefan shows up which will be in an hour.

" Not much really, Stefan is a senior and seventeen just like me. He lost his parents at a young age and he's living with his older brother Damon and his uncle Zack. What more do you wanna know?"

" Like, where did his family come from? I mean with a name like Salvatore. Sounds like they could be from Italy." Liz responded as she tossed vegetables into the frying pan.

" Him and Damon was born and raised here in Mystic falls. But they did some traveling for a few years." Caroline says as she wiped her hands off of the kitchen towel." I am going to go finish getting ready." She says as she drops the towel on the counter." Oh, please don't ask too many questions tonight."

" I will try not too."

" Thanks mom." Caroline says as she walked out of the kitchen and ran upstairs to finish getting ready before Stefan shows up. Caroline just hopes everything will go perfect tonight and her mom won't ask too many questions.

After he threw his jacket on and grabs his keys as he headed down stairs. He then stepped into the living room and saw Damon standing in front of the fireplace with a glass of bourbon in his hand.

" I am heading over to Caroline's. I will be back later." Stefan says as he turned towards the door and headed out.

Damon just kept watching the fire as he listen the front door closing. He heavily sighs as he took a huge gulp of his bourbon. Elena just called him thirty minutes ago just out of the blue inviting him to go to the founders ball at the Lockwood's tomorrow night. Which he wasn't really planning on going but since she did invite him and he is one of the founding families, he might as well go. Who knows this could be fun...Damon thought as a sly smirk came up at the corner of his mouth.

Caroline had just ran down stairs when she heard the doorbell." I got it." She called out as she walked up to the front door. Pulling the door open Caroline couldn't help but smile as she saw Stefan standing in front of her." Come on in." She said as she moved to the side and let's him in.

After she closed the door behind them, Caroline steps closer to him as she leans up and kisses him softly and tenderly as she hums softly." So, are you ready to meet my mom. The sheriff?" Caroline asked with a nervous chuckle.

" As I will ever be. Hey, don't worry everything will be fine. Let's just enjoy tonight's dinner." Stefan says as he leans down and kisses her forehead." Okay?" He asked as he looks down at her.

Caroline nods her head in agreement." Yeah, okay. I think dinner is finally ready. The kitchen is this way." She says as she took Stefan's hand and leads up towards the kitchen. Caroline isn't sure why she's so nervous. But she just hopes tonight's dinner will go well and her mom won't do anything to embarrass her.
