Walking towards the lockers Caroline spotted Bonnie. Caroline exhales as she continued to walk up to her best friend." Good morning, Bonnie." Caroline greeted as she opened her locker and grabbed her history book.

" Morning Care, where's Stefan?"

Caroline sighs as she rolled her eyes." He's running little late. He said he would be here before the next class starts or at least before lunch." Caroline said as she closed her locker and turns around as she leans against it." Where's Elena?"

Bonnie just shrugged her shoulders." I don't know."

Caroline sighs for a moment as she then spotted Jeremy." Hey, Jeremy where the hell is Elena?"

" At home, sick in bed." Jeremy answered as he walked past Caroline and went to the other direction.

" Elena never miss school not even once and now, all of sudden she's sick?" Caroline asked as she slumped back against her locker and crossed her arms over her chest.

" So? Elena is missing one day of School. It's not the end of the world Caroline."

" No, something is wrong. Very wrong and there's a reason why Elena isn't in school and I am gonna find out when I go see her after school today." Caroline said as she pushed herself off of her locker and headed towards class.

Bonnie just shook her head as she catches up with Caroline. Once they both walked into history class and when Bonnie sat behind Caroline, she set her book down on her desk as she leans forward." So, what's the reason?"

Caroline sighs as she looked over her shoulder." It's more of a who than a reason."

" Okay, then who?"

" Damon."

" Damon? Why would Damon be the reason why Elena isn't in school today?",Bonnie asked in confusion.

Caroline just shrugged her shoulders." I don't know. But that's what I'm gonna find out later today.

" What are you going to find out?" Stefan asked as soon he sat down beside Caroline a few seconds later.

" Um, Elena is sick today so I was going to go see her after school. I thought you were running late." Caroline said as she raised her brow for a moment as she wasn't expecting to see him just yet.

" Yeah, I was gonna be. But seems like plans changed." Stefan said as he leans over and kisses Caroline quickly before Alaric walked in.

Caroline looked at Stefan for a moment and was about to ask what kind of plans was he talking about when the final bell rang and Alaric walked in closing the door behind him. Caroline then sighs as she sat up straight and turned her attention to class or at least tried to.

Pulling into the Gilbert's driveway, Caroline noticed Elena's and Jenna's cars in the driveway. Caroline pulled her keys out of the ignition and grabs her purse as she pushed the door open and stepped out. After she closed her car door, Caroline walked up to the door and raised her fist up and knocks on it.

Jenna walked out of the kitchen and towards the front door. Reaching out for the doorknob as she turned it and opens it." Hey, Caroline. What you doing here?" Jenna asked as she stepped to the side and let's her in.

" I heard Elena stayed home from school today because she's sick, so I thought I would drop by and see how she was feeling. Is she up for some company?" Caroline asked.

Jenna nods her head as she closed the door behind her." Yeah, I think so."

" Thanks." Caroline said as she turned around and ran upstairs. As Caroline approached Elena's bedroom door. She gave it a light knock." Elena? It's Caroline. Can I come in?"

Elena groans softly as she wasn't really in the mood to see or to talk to anyone, that's why she didn't go to school today. But since Caroline is standing right outside her bedroom door, she might as well let Caroline in." Come in Care." Elena said as she sat up straight and leans back against the headboard.

Caroline walked in and closed the door behind her." Jeremy said you weren't feeling well this morning and that's why you didn't come to school. But we both know that's not the real reason though, is it?"

Elena just rolled her eyes." And what would be the real reason Caroline?" Elena asked as she crossed her arms over her chest. As much as Elena loves Caroline as a sister. Caroline can be little judgmental sometimes.

" Damon is the real reason why you didn't come to school today."

Elena sighs softly as she looks down avoiding Caroline's eyes." Stefan told you?"

" Tell me, what?" Caroline asked as she down across from Elena on Elena's bed.

" Damon is avoiding me, he's been avoiding me since the night at the Lockwoods." Elena said softly.

" Seriously?"

Elena nods her head as she looked up." Yeah, Couple of days ago I went over to the boarding house and tried to talk to Damon, but Stefan wouldn't let me through the front door. He said Damon was busy."

Yeah, busy killing innocent people, Caroline thought to herself." Stefan never told me, This is the first I have heard about it. But honestly Elena, I wouldn't take it personal." Caroline said as she shrugged her shoulders.

" Yeah, I guess. Hey, do you think that may be you can talk to Damon?"

" Me?" Caroline asked as she points to herself." Why would I want to talk to Damon?"

" Come on, Caroline. Please do this for me. I need to know why he's avoiding me and since Stefan won't give me any answers, your my only hope here Care." Elena is desperate here and since Damon won't talk to her, maybe he would talk to Caroline.

Caroline sigh as she rolled her eyes and shrugged her shoulders." Alright, I will talk to Damon and try to find out what's going on. But don't be disappointed if he won't give me the answers your looking for."

Elena nods her head." Thanks Care, your the best." Elena said as she leans forward and gave her best friend a hug.

" Oh, I don't know about that." Caroline said with a small chuckle as she lets Elena go." I gotta get home, I promise my mom I would have dinner ready for her when she gets home." Caroline said as she got up from Elena's bed." I will see you at School tomorrow?"

Elena nods her head." Yeah I will be there."

" Good, I will call you later." Caroline said as she walked out of Elena's room and closed the door behind her. She then ran down stairs and out of the front door.

After Caroline left, Elena pulled her diary out of her mattress as she sat back against the headboard and opened up to another blank page. Grabbing a pen from her nightstand, Elena started to write in her diary again. Elena wish she knew why Damon is avoiding her, but unfortunately she has no clue. But she's hoping that Caroline would talk to him and get some answers.
