When they pulled up at the hospital Penelope said, "I promise you hotstuff I'm fine, you don't have to do this", he pulled her tight against his body and said, "I was so broken, so shattered when I thought I'd lost you, please let me make sure that you're alright". Fran and the others smiled knowing that she was going to give in and agree to get checked out, if only for Derek's sake and sure enough she did but she had one condition, he had to stay with her, she didn't want to be alone.
Derek agreed but before walking inside the hospital she said, "I need to talk to Shane", Derek nodded his head and watched as his baby girl walked over to talk to Shane for a few minutes. Shane grinned and said, "I'm so glad that you're alright Penelope", she said, "it's all thanks to you and boy wonder, if the two of you had given up", he stopped her and said, "we would have never given up Penelope, not ever, not until we'd found the real you".
She smiled and said, "one of these days you'll have to tell me the story about how all of this went down", he nodded his head and said, "I sure will", he said, "can I hug you?", she said, "of course you can". Derek felt ohhhh so jealous as he watched her ex boyfriend hug her but after everything he did to help Reid and the rest of the team find her he knew that was the reason that she was allowing the hug in the first place.
As they pulled apart she said, "so what happens with you now?", Hotch walked over and said, "we're going to keep our word, we're going to talk to the judge and try to get his sentence commuted". She smiled and said, "that would be awesome", she then looked at Shane and said, "I'll do whatever I can to help, you know that?", he said, "that I do Penelope, that I do", Hotch said, "we need to go Shane", he nodded his head and said, "okay".
When they started to walk off Penelope said, "thank you Shane", he said, "I would do anything for my black queen", she stood watching then as Hotch and Shane got into the SUV and pulled away from the hospital. Derek walked over to her and said, "are you ready to go inside?", she said, "in a second, I just have one question", he said, "okay shoot, what's your question?", she pointed to Luke and said, "who is that?", Derek grinned and said, "he was one of my bodyguards in jail plus my part time replacement while I was locked up".
Penelope said, "nobody but nobody can take the place of my angelfish", he wrapped his arms around her and pulled her into another hug and said, "I was so afraid that I'd killed you, especially after the vivid dreams I was having". She cupped his face in her hands and said, "that was because of the drugs handsome, you could never and would never hurt me", he said, "I love you", she said, "and I love you".
Fran said, "alright, that's enough flirting, let's get you inside and get you checked out", she laughed and said, "alright, I give up, I give up" as she walked inside the hospital holding hands with her life line, her hotstuff, the other part of her heart, her Derek span
