The State Verses Derek Morgan Ch 57
While they were sitting in the cubicle she said, "when we get out of here can we go get something to eat, momma is starving?", he said, "we can go anywhere and have anything that you want". She smiled brightly at him and said, "I've missed you handsome, more than you'll ever know", he took her hand in his and said, "and I've missed you, ohhhh sweetness, that time without you was hell, pure hell on your man but now that you're back, you're never allowed to leave me again".
She grinned and said, "what will your girlfriend say to that?", he said, "I don't know, what did you think about it?", she said, "me but wait, I'm not your" and before she could say girlfriend his lips had descended down onto hers. When they pulled apart he rested his forehead against hers and said, "I told you, I'm not taking any more chances where you're concerned, Penelope Grace Garcia will you please be my girlfriend?", with tears streaming down her cheeks she nodded her head and said, "I'd love to hotstuff".
After what seemed like hours the doctor walked back into the room, she smiled and said, "everything is normal except you're a little thin, I'd like for you to eat a little more and gain about 10 pounds". Derek said, "ohhhh don't you worry about that I'm gonna fatten her up", Penelope and the doctor laughed and the doctor said, "here are your release papers" as she handed them to Penelope.
Derek said, "thank you doctor, after everything she's been through over the past almost 5 weeks I didn't want to take any chances", the doctor said, "I agree, she definitely needed to be checked out just to be on the safe side". Penelope thanked the doctor one final time before walking out of the cubicle hand in hand with Derek, when they made it back out to the front the only people left were JJ, Reid and Emily.
Reid said, "Fran figured that you'd be hungry so they went home to fix a huge celebration dinner", Penelope smiled and said, "well then shall we go to casa Rossi and see what's going on?", JJ said, "not yet there is something that me and Em would like to do". Penelope said, "what would you like to do?", they pulled her into a hug and said, "this" in unison as they hugged their best friend after what had seemed like forever.
When they pulled apart JJ said, "ohhhh Garcie, we missed you so much", Penelope brushed their hair out their eyes and said, "I missed you both soooo much, I was afraid that I'd never get to see any of you again because they had planned on killing me for real". Derek said, "they what?", she nodded her head and said, "they were just waiting on the results of your trial and then they were going to kill me", Derek said, "I'm so glad that pretty boy and Shane found you".
Penelope looked at Reid and said, "me too", she smiled at Reid and said, "I'll never be able to thank you for everything you've done boy wonder", he smiled and said, "just you being alive is all of the thanks I need". She said, "ohhhhh I loveeeeeee youuuuuu" as she pulled him into the group hug with JJ and Emily, Derek said, "hey, I'm your boyfriend, shouldn't I be in this hug too?", JJ, Emily and Reid said, "you're her whatttt" in unison".
Penelope grinned happily and said, "he asked and I said yes", the women all squealed as Reid looked at Derek and said, "not wasting any time I see", he said, "no, not anymore, I thought she'd died before I had the chance to tell her that I was in love with her but now, now that she's alive and she knows how much I love her, I'm not taking anything for granted anymore".
Emily looked at Penelope and said, "what would you think about us bringing the boys over to Dave and Frans?", Penelope said, "oh my poor babies, do they think I'm dead too?", JJ said, "they do and they're both devastated Garcie". Penelope said, "what do you think they're going to say and do when they see me and find out I'm alive?", Emily said, "I think we're going to have two very happy little boys who aren't gonna want to leave your side, that's what I think".
Reid said, "well let's go get the boys and head to Rossi'", JJ and Emily hugged Penelope one final time before walking away leaving Derek and Penelope alone, she sighed happily and said, "it feels so good to be able to do this" as she took him by the hand. He said, "it feels even better for me to do this" as he pulled her into his arms and claimed her lips with his, when they pulled apart she said, "I love you my vision", he winked at her and said, "and I love you baby girl".
He rested his forehead against hers and said, "I'm going to flirt with you sooooo hard, I'm going to woo you", she said, "woo me, why are you going to woo me?", he said, "so that you'll agree to be my wife". She laughed and said, "you don't have to woo me for that hotstuff", he said, "ohhhh really now?", she said, "just saying", he said, "welllll doesn't that make things more interesting", she laughed and said, "we need to head to your moms before they send a search party out after us".
He grinned and nodded his head yes as they intertwined fingers and started walking toward their waiting SUV
