Hey guys and gals I'm back.
Sorry it's taken so long for this to come out but I've been in Belize for an internship and didn't really have internet there.
Anyways I hope you enjoy this and tell me what you think about it!
Jumping up from his position Kael ran out of the tree, Eevee yet to be named quickly following behind. "What's going on?" Kael yelled looking around trying to find where the noise was coming from.
"We are under attack, quickly run west, that is where you can find civilization." The Medicham stated frantically while pointing in a certain direction. " Here are the materials that you asked for now please, Run!" she said as Kael saw a gem and the arms of the Scyther float into his arms.
"What about you? Are you gonna be ok?" Kael asked concerned for the Medicham.
"Worry not about me, young one. Hurry as not to get hurt. Take care of that Eevee, young one. Goodbye." the Medicham said before teleporting off to who knows where.
Looking around Kael could see a war zone. The walls that once held strong around the sanctuary crumbled as swarms of Biberral, Ursaring, and Rhydon clambered through the stone on a war path determined to destroy anything that came in their way.
Understanding the situation, Kael quickly stashed the scyther arms into his bag, pocketing the gem. He quickly picked up the Eevee and started to run away from the Chaos. Looking around Kael spotted a medium-sized crack that he thought Eevee could fit through. After sprinting towards the crack Kael set Eevee down stating "Go through that Crack with my backpack. I'll meet you on the other side" With a bit of reluctance Eevee grabbed the backpack in her mouth and squeezed through the crack.
Searching his surroundings Kael found utter chaos surrounding him. His eyes quickly locked on to a flock of Starly and one Staravia flying away from a single Ursaring.
The Ursaring swiped its claws towards the flock, missing most but grazing the smallest Starly there was. With the hit, the Starly lost altitude and crashed into the ground a good 100 feet away from the wild Ursaring. Hobbling up off its side the Starly hopped up and turned trying its best to glare at the Ursaring.
"Damn, it's got some fight in it," Kael muttered to himself.
"RAWR" the Ursaring yelled as he bent down to all fours, rushing towards the downed Starly. Realizing what was about to happen Kael began to panic not knowing what to do. With a stupid idea, Kael quickly grabbed the gem from his pocket and screams "STOP!"
Suddenly with a jerk the Ursaring screeches to a halt and slowly arcs its head towards Kael. Scared that the Ursaring would now charge him Kael began to tense ready to dash; but, after a few seconds of the Ursaring staring Kael began to slightly relax. Slowly Kael began to approach the Starly making a wide arc around the Ursaring in case it decided to break the trance.
Once behind the Starly, he began to hear the chirps and squeaks coming from it. "Don't worry, you're safe" Kael calmly stated. After saying this Kael whips his head up to stare straight at the Ursaring after hearing it growl at him. Trying to think of what to do Kael clutches the stone towards his chest and mustering all the energy he can states "LEAVE!" Tilting its head, the Ursaring looks almost confusingly at Kael before turning around and walking away through the broken wall it had come from.
Kael, seeing this and feeling the effects of Adrenaline wearing off carefully picks up the injured Starly and starts to look around for a way past the wall. Looking to his right about 30 feet away is what looks like a broken doorway with rubble thrown around it. Making his way there Kael focused on staying near buildings and trying to make it there without conflict. The whole time the Starly seemed to be nuzzling closer into Kael's clothes trying to feel more warmth.
After making it out of the encampment Kael and the injured starly met up with Eevee and headed off to find a place to rest for the night. The long walk caused the Starly to pass out due to exhaustion so after finding a small cave to make base Kael gently set down the injured starly on a pile of leaves he had Eevee make. " Man today was Insane!" Kael said, plopping down against the far wall of the cave. "Eevee!" Eevee yipped seemingly agreeing with him. Looking out of the cave's entrance Kael see's the sun just reaching the horizon making the time to be around 8. Thinking about warmth Kael says " Hey Eevee do you think you could run out and grab some sticks while I grab some logs so we can make a fire." With an affirmative yip Kael and Eevee set off to grab sticks and logs.
After about 20 minutes of walking around Kael had found a broken down tree that was thin enough that he could snap it with his arms. Walking back was a funny sight due to Kael walking off balance with his right arm around the bundle of thin logs.
When Kael had made it back to the cave he became shocked to see a neatly stacked pile of sticks up to his waist sitting right next to a proud looking Eevee. Slowly picking his jaw up off the ground Kael asked "Eevee, did you bring all of these back" With another affirmative yip Kael just dips his head and shakes it while walking closer towards the middle of the cave.
Setting up the fire was easy and since he had such a trusty little helper in Eevee, the fire was always topped up with wood. Finally having a second of rest to think, Kael starts to think of what he should do before resting. The only thing that comes to mind is checking on the Starly so that is what he does.
Walking over to the starly he seems to be resting quite well but Kael wants to make sure that everything is ok. Slightly shaking the Starly Kael watches as it slowly starts to wake up. " Starly?" It asks drearily. "Hey Starly, I know you are hurting and want to sleep but is it ok if I look over you just to make sure everything is ok?" Kael asked wearily. After thinking it over Starly looks up to Kael and nods its head.
Now while Kael thinks he knows what he is doing, he doesn't. Looking over the starly's body he notices a few things. One the bird's left wing is angled in a way it shouldn't be. For another there are obvious slash marks on its torso that seem to have scabbed over. Other than that, nothing rather notable appears to Kael. Thinking over what he can do to help an idea occurs. "Hey Starly, I know you are in pain right now but I have this device called a pokeball. It would catch you and make you my partner but it would keep you in suspended reality until I'm able to get you to a professional doctor. What do you think?" Seemingly contemplating over it the starly takes a good look at his wing before turning its head at Kael and giving him a serious nod.
Smiling, Kael turns around and goes to his bag to grab the pokeballs he found. Grabbing the 3 he moves towards Starly and points one at him before enlarging it with a tap. " Now all you have to do is tap this button and it will capture you. I don't how it will feel but my best guess is to not fight it. Ok?" With a nod the starly quickly pecked the button on the pokeball before turning into a red light. After just a single shake on the pokeball in his hand there was a satisfying ding signaling his first capture.
