Waking up from his sleep, Kael slowly sat up off the hard ground. Looking around he could see Eevee sleeping against his side, his bag behind him previously used as a pillow, and the fire embers in the middle of the cave.
After getting up Kael gently shook Eevee awake so they could start the day. "Eevee?" Eevee said groggily while looking around. " Good morning Eevee. Did you sleep well?" With a nod, Eevee hopped up and started to trot around the fireplace getting ready for the day.
*Growl*
It is heard simultaneously from both Kael and Eevee's stomachs. "Hey Eevee, do you think you could go out and pick us some berries for breakfast? I need to fashion these scyther arms into swords for our protection." Kael asked while pulling out the scyther's arms from his bag. With a yip, Eevee dashed off into the forest using what seemed to be a quick attack to speed her up. "Ok, time for work."
Thinking over everything he needed for the swords, he quickly realizes while looking at the arms that they are too angled to be swords. Thinking some more, Kael comes up with using the arms as dual Kamas. (1) Getting up, Kael walks out into the forest and searches for all the needed materials. Within 10 minutes of being in the woods Kael has found some vines, sap, and this grayish wood for the handles. Getting back to 'Base' Kael sets down all of the found materials, and arms, then pulls out his Knife.
Taking the measurements of the bottom of the arms Kael begins to whittle out a hole the arms will sit in on both of the pieces of wood. After finishing with the wood Kael begins another fire using the excess sticks Eevee had brought before. As Kael watches the fire begin to go he begins to hear something dragging towards him. Looking out of the entrance of the cave he sees Eevee biting down on a vine that is loosely tied around a sled-like object holding a wide variety of berries. Finally reaching Kael, Eevee drops the vine out of her mouth and sits down next to her spoils with a wide grin.
After taking a few seconds to process what he just saw, Kael quickly walks over to Eevee congratulating her on a job well done " Wow Eevee, you did an amazing job at this!" "EEVEE EVE!" Eevee said, jumping around in excitement before rubbing up against Kael. " Hey, why don't you go eat some of those while I finish my project ok?" Kael asked, looking back at his small fire. "Eevee!" she said before picking up the vine and dragging the sled-like object towards the wall before sitting down and enjoying a nice snack.
"Ok back on topic," Kael said. Grabbing a small tin from his bag Kael puts all the sap he found into it and gently sets the tin on the fire, stirring occasionally. After a good 5 minutes of stirring Kael lets the sap, now glue, cool off. Feeling with the back of his hand for heat Kael began to lather the glue-like substance into the hole on both handles. After getting one done Kael sets the end of the arm into the hole before wrapping it with vine for more stability. Kael performs this again for the second one before setting them down to eat some berries.
After finishing the berries off Kael and Eevee sit side by side relaxing, knowing that after they are done they will have to set off again towards civilization. " Hey Eevee, you never did get a name did you?" Kael asked, turning his head towards her. Hearing this Eevee begins to become excited and looks expectantly at Kael. "Hmmm, what would a good name be? Let's see an excitable little cutie like you should have a good name… How about Serafall?" Kael says looking for any sign he could see from Eevee…
"EEVEE!" She screams before pouncing on Kael licking his face all over. "SERA OK, I GET IT. PLEASE STOP!" Kael yelled while laughing. Yipping to him Sera hops off still wagging her tail at him. " Hey, if you are gonna travel with me, do you wanna be my Pokemon? Like travel the world and fight other powerful Pokemon, maybe even evolve?" Kael asked, nudging her on the last bit. With a firm nod, Sera agrees to join the team. Quickly searching through his bag he finds the second to last Pokeball and pulls it out. "Ok Sera, this is going to feel weird but I'm just doing this so no one can steal you when we make it to civilization. Once you are 'Caught' I'll let you out, ok?" Another affirmative nod is all he needs before he lightly taps the button to her forehead turning her into a shining red light. With zero shakes Kael hears that amazing ding and with that Kael has caught his second Pokemon.
Quickly releasing Sera Kael begins to pack everything up. With everything in his bag and his kamas hanging from a string on his belt, he and Sera were ready to take on the world.
3 Hours Later
" Did you find anything new?"
"Eevee"
"I still can't understand you"
"EEVEE!"
3 More Hours Later
Looking around Kael sees trees….
"AHHHHHHHHH" Kael screams while holding his head between his hands.
"Eevee?" she asks while tilting her head to the side confused on what's got Kael so mad.
"We're lost! I have no clue where we are going or how we're going to get out of here.
Sitting down Kael puts his head between his legs and thinks on how to get out of this forest.
Figuring that thinking to hard will hurt more than help Kael decides to get some training in with Sera for the time being
"Sera, how about we do some training to get you stronger?" he asks whilst standing up. "Eev" She confirms before hopping up ready to attack something
" Ok, let's start with speed training. I want you to sprint one time from here to that tree 50 yards away and back. Then use a quick attack for the second time. After that keep alternating till you have done ten reps ok?"
"Eevee!" and with that affirmative Sera speeds off into her workout.
*Two Week later*
Searching around the area Kael begins to hear what he can only assume as talking. Getting excited Kael begins to run in that direction with Sera while thinking about all that has happened in the last two weeks.
After he had finished training with Sera they set off again before making camp for the night. That became their routine where they would wake up, train, and then hit the road searching for any type of civilization.
During these training sessions Sera made a lot of progress. Her speed and agility were the main focuses during the sessions and were improved by several stages. Another project they worked on was teaching Sera how to use Swift after she accidentally used it in a wild battle with a nasty bidoof.
Wild battling was a major part of the 2 week journey as well. Having fought many battles some were let go, some were killed for food. But most all were going for the kill. Luckily Kael only had to use his Kamas a couple of times. But, that is a couple times more than he would want.
Getting his head back on straight, Kael and Sera began ducking and dipping through the trees and brush running towards the sound of human speech. Finally, after pushing past a well maintained shrubbery they found themselves in the backyard of a home where a barbeque was happening.
Quickly putting his hands up in the air Kael states "We come in peace"
