The State Verses Derek Morgan Ch 66
A couple of hours later Hotch walked through the door at the Rossi mansion, he smiled when he saw Penelope and Derek walking out of the kitchen, he said, "can you use some more help, Em sent me a message and said, "that we're decorating for a wedding/reception?", Penelope said, "the more the merrier bossman, the more the merrier".
Hotch said, "come on in guys", Penelope smiled as she saw Mia, Luke and Shane walking through the front door, Hotch said, "I'd like to introduce to you two new team members", "Derek said, "two new members?", Hotch said, "yes, Luke and Shane will be working for the BAU now, Luke as an agent in the field and Shane will be working with Penelope as our data analyst".
Shane said, "that is if it's okay with you my queen?", Derek said, "heyyyyyy, she's my queen now", Shane held up his hands in defeat and said, "chill dude, easyyyyy, I know, I know, I was just kidding", Penelope laughed and said, "of course it's okay, welcome to the team", she looked at Luke and said, "you too noob".
Luke shook his head and said, "why aren't you calling him noob?", Penelope said, "I've known Shane for years, he's very good at what he does, not as good as me, the all seeing all knowing oracle but he's definitely good". Derek laughed and said, "my girl is the best", he kissed her cheek and said, "right goddess?", she winked at him and said, "right handsome", Mia grinned and said, "soooo what can I do to help?", Penelope said, "Mia, you're with me, us women are meeting in the dining room and the men are heading outside to work on setting up for the wedding/reception".
Mia followed Penelope through the house and smiled when she was met with a hug from Fran Morgan Rossi, she said, "it's so good to see you again honey", Mia said, "same here Mrs. Rossi", Fran said, "please call me Fran, everybody does". Mia smiled happily an said, "okay Fran", as the women all started working on putting together a menu for the reception, they didn't have much time so while the others were working on a menu Fran was already working on a cake.
Desi said, "hang on a second, I'll go get another pen and more pap" and she bumped into something or somebody as the case turned out to be, she was now looking up into the handsome face of Luke Alvez. He said, "are you okay, are you hurt?", she said, "uhh, no, I'm fine, are you okay?", he grinned and said, "yeah, I'm okay" as he held out his hand to shake hands with her, as she shook hands with him her heart was racing.
Luke said, "it's nice to meet you I'm Luke, Luke Alvez, I'm one of the newest members of the BAU", Desi said, "Desiree Morgan, I'm Derek's baby sister but please, please call me Desi, everybody does". Luke nodded his head and said, "it's nice to meet you Desi", she said, "same here Luke", he said, "excuse me but I'm needed outside, we're working on decorating the backyard for the wedding and reception".
Desi said, "yeah, we're working on a menu for the reception", Luke said, "well Desi, I guess I'll be seeing you later", she smiled widely and said, "that you will Luke, that you will" as they both turned around and headed in separate directions. Penelope had seen their moment together and saw the instant sparks, she tapped her chin with one of her frilly pens and said, "interesting, very interesting". Mia said, "huh, were you talking to me?", Penelope said, "oh no, I was just talking to myself" as the two women continued talking about desserts for the reception, other than the wedding cake.
Outside in the backyard Derek said, "thanks for coming to help", Luke said, "sure, no problem, thanks for having me", Shane said, "Derek?" Derek said, "yeah?", Shane said, "what can you tell me about a beautiful woman named Tasha?", Derek said, "me nothing but pretty boy over there" as he pointed to Reid, "pretty boy can tell ya a lot more than me".
Shane said, "thank you" and headed across the yard in the direction of Reid, when he got closer he said, "Reid?", Reid said, "yeah", Shane said, "what can you tell me about the woman that i met at the funeral, Tasha?", Reid said, "I can tell you that she's single and that she definitely noticed you too", Shane smiled and said, "really?", Reid nodded his head yes and said, "how about I get her an invitation to the wedding, that way you can see her again?", Shane said, "thank you, I'd appreciate that".
Reid grinned and said, "no problem, no problem at all", as they continued working on decorating the backyard it seemed to be coming together nicely, with all of the men working in the backyard and the women working in the kitchen and dining room working on a menu they had everything done in no time.
Penelope had decided to wear a beautiful white sundress that she'd just bought, it was simple, elegant and practically screamed her name, Penelope had ordered her bouquet and JJ and Em's plus the boutonnieres for the men. Derek had decided to wear a white dress shirt with a blue jacket, he looked elegant, sexy and perfect for the wedding, JJ and Em were going to wear peach dresses that they had bought for a night out with their husbands, they would go great with Penelope's dress.
Hotch and Reid had also decided to wear white dress shirts with blue jackets as to not show up the groom, Derek laughed and said that he appreciated them not trying to look better than him on his wedding day. By the time everything was done everybody was exhausted so they decided to order pizza and spend the evening eating, laughing and talking while the boys watched movies in the library, it was a good way to wind down after a long and tiring day and considering the wedding was at noon the next day, they definitely needed to wind down.
