The State Verses Derek Morgan Ch 69
Penelope and Dave stood with JJ, Emily, Henry and Jack as they waited for the music to start so that the bridesmaids could make their way first, followed next by the ring bearers and finally the bride and father of the bride would come last. Derek stood trying to calm down at the top of the aisle with Reid, Hotch and the rest of the family, he was a nervous wreck, where was she, where was his baby girl, he needed to see her and he needed to see her now.
The music started, everybody turned to watch first Emily and the JJ as they slowly made their way to the front, next came Jack with Henry about five steps behind him. they looked so adorable as they made their way up the flower petal path, when they reached the front they walked over and stood in front of their fathers, just like they were told.
Derek felt his heart racing as the music changed to the wedding march, everybody stood up and turned to face the back just in time to see Penelope and Dave step forward and take their places. The second he saw her smiling face his nervousness stopped, she was there, his beautiful baby girl, the love of his life was here, she was slowly making her way toward him and she looked amazing, she looked so beautiful, so perfect.
Dave proudly walked holding onto his daughters arm, he still couldn't believe that she was here, that she had come back to them and that she was finally marrying the man that she'd been in love with since the day she met him. When they made it up beside Derek, Dave took Penelope's hand and put it in Derek's, he then kissed her on the cheek and said, "we love you kitten", she said, "I love you all too papa bear
Everybody then watched as Dave walked over to stand beside Fran and the others as they waited for the ceremony to continue, Derek and Penelope then turned to face the minister so that they could get married and finally be husband and wife. The minister looked out at the crowd of smiling faces, he then said, "you may be seated", after everybody was seated he said, "dearly beloved, we are gathered here today in the sight of God and these witnesses to join together in the bonds of holy matrimony Derek Morgan and Penelope Garcia".
He then grinned out and said, "who gives this woman to this man in marriage?", Dave stood up and said, "her family and I do", the minister then watched as Dave sat back down beside his beautiful wife. As span the ceremony continued the minister said a prayer in which he blessed their union and wished them a life filled with love, peace and joy before looking over at Jack and Henry and asking for the rings.
The two little boys had done just what they had been told to do and when the minister took the rings from the pillows the boys walked back over and stood in front of their fathers as the minister then said another prayer before looking down at the happy couple in front of him.
Derek, take this ring, put it on Penelope's finger and recite your vows to her", Derek took the ring in his hand, slid it onto Penelope's ring finger and took a deep breath as he readied to start his vows. He smiled at her and said, "Penelope Grace Garcia, you are my baby girl, my guiding light, my heart, my soul, my everything and today you become my wife and I promise to you here in front of God and our family that I will love, honor and cherish you for as long as we both shall live".
The minister then said, "Penelope, take this ring, put it on Derek's finger and recite your vows to him", Penelope took the ring in her hand, slid it onto his left ring finger and smiled lovingly at him as she readied to say her vows to him. She said, "Derek Michael Morgan, you are the love of my life, you are the best thing that has ever happened to me and I promise to love, honor and cherish you for as long as we both shall live".
Penelope and Derek then looked up at the minister as he said, "if there is anyone here that can show just cause why these two can't be lawfully joined, let them speak now or forever hold their peace". After a few seconds he said, "by the powers vested in me by this state, I now pronounce you husband and wife, Derek you may kiss your bride".
Derek, not needing to be told twice, cupped his wife's face in his hands and leaned in slowly and claimed her lips in a soft, gentle and loving kiss, when they pulled the minister said, "ladies and gentlemen it gives me great pleasure to introduce to you for the first time Mr. and Mrs. Derek Morgan
The air was filled with the sound of hands clapping and the shouts of congratulations as the bride and groom shared yet another kiss, thus cementing their lives together as husband and wife.
