Things were finally looking better for the Madrigals. Casita had been rebuilt and a new candle was aflame. Even though they did not have their Gifts anymore, that couldn't have been more of a relief to Bruno Madrigal. He was happy to finally be with his family again without ever having to worry about his visions anymore. He felt accepted and loved. He was definitely content with this new life. Today, Bruno was going to the village to fetch some things for dinner tonight. His favorite sobrina Mirabel was accompanying him. He felt more comfortable with someone else around since some members of the community were still adjusting to his sudden return. While Mirabel and Bruno were walking the streets and by the shops, Mirabel turned to her Tio.

"Guess what, Tio?"

"What is it, Mariposa?" Bruno asked, facing Mirabel.

"We're receiving visitors to bring necessities to the village all the way from a kingdom."

"A kingdom?" Bruno asked, now curious.

"Uh-huh. A kingdom all the way within Norway. They call it Arendelle."

"I wonder how your Abuela is gonna take to outsiders though. Nobody comes even near the Encanto and doesn't go unnoticed by her, you know." Bruno pointed out, shrugging.

"I'm sure they won't even bother going to see Casita. There's lots of inns for them to stay at anyway." Mirabel replied, also shrugging.

"Trust me, kid, nothing gets by your Abuela." Bruno said, shaking his head amicably.

"You'd be surprised one day, Tio." Mirabel added, chuckling.

Bruno also chuckled then ruffled Mirabel's hair. Although he was also looking forward to possibly seeing and meeting other people from another land, he was still concerned that they might overstay their welcome and eventually wonder about those tall mountains where their home was hidden. If his Ma'ma got word of them, would she trust them? Bruno was hopeful he wouldn't have to find out and be able to get to know them without any interference.

Upon the ship, Elsa could already see the first sighting of Colombia in the distance. She went over to the rail to get a better look. She still couldn't see much but she could already hear the faint chatter and smell the wonderful smells. Elsa smiled. She could not wait to get off the ship and explore more...if the crew would let her.

When the ship arrived at the dock and the gangway was placed down. Elsa again took a deep breath and stepped upon it. When she was certain she was yet again safe, she continued smiling and had walked down, following the crew.

Elsa really couldn't see all that was going on since the tall and burly men that was the crew were blocking her. She tried to stand on her tiptoes to get a view but it wasn't doing much good. Elsa sighed and gave in and continued staying hidden, much to her disappointment.

The crew had stopped at a clothing shop and were talking to the owner. Noticing that they were distracted, Elsa slid her way through. Once she was out of sight, she walked along where all the other shops and stands were. Everyone seemed friendly and smiling at her, making her feel more relaxed.

Elsa then noticed a little girl at a stand, trying to reach for an avocado. She tried and tried but then sighed and pouted. Elsa gazed at the little girl sadly. She looked like she lived in the streets. Elsa went over to the little girl then kneeled down to her level.

"Hello. What's your name?" Elsa asked.

"Daniela." The girl replied.

"Are you hungry, Daniela?"

Daniela gave a shy little nod then Elsa chuckled then had grabbed an avocado from the stand and gave it to her. Daniela looked at the avocado happily then she looked up at Elsa.

"Thank you!"

"You're welcome."

Daniela had taken a bite of the avocado then ran off. Elsa had gone over to another stand when she heard shouting and then a scream. Elsa quickly turned to see Daniela standing in the middle of the road where a runaway cart was about to run over her.

"Daniela! I'm coming!" Elsa called out.

At the same time, Bruno and Mirabel had noticed the cart heading towards Daniela. Bruno quickly ran towards her, not noticing the woman going over to her in another direction.

The cart was getting closer and closer. Elsa ran and ran as fast she could. She couldn't believe what she was about to do but if she didn't do it, Daniel was going to get hurt either way. Elsa's magic had shot out of her hands and shards of ice, barely missing Daniela, had blocked the cart but they smashed through.

"No!" Elsa shouted, eyes wide.

Daniela had screamed as the cart was an inch from her and Elsa had tensed, her magic at ready to try again but then Daniela was snatched away and picked up and the cart continued rolling until it crashed. Elsa saw Daniela safe in a man's arms, panting and whimpering. Had she scared her?

"It's alright, Daniela. You're safe, carino. You're safe." Bruno assured.

Mirabel went over to her Tio and gave a look of relief towards Daniela then touched both her and Bruno's shoulders. Daniela stopped whimpering then looked at the two family Madrigal members.

"Bruno. A woman had formed ice. She was trying to save me."

Bruno and Mirabel turned and saw a woman looking over at them. They were surprised that this woman also had some form of magic and even more surprised when she came up to them.

"Is she okay?" The woman asked, giving Daniela a look of concern.

"She's alright. Is it true what she said? You had magicked up ice to try to stop the cart?" Mirabel asked, still in awe.

"She...She said that? Did anyone else but her see it?" The woman asked, eyes widened in fear.

"No. I think she was the only one." Mirabel assured.

Elsa turned and made certain it was true. It did appear that nobody else noticed...except maybe the ship's crew who were giving slight looks of disapproval. But that could have also been because they didn't approve of a little girl running around in the streets...maybe. Elsa turned back towards the strangers while the man continued holding onto Daniela.

"I'm glad she's not hurt." Elsa finally said, smiling a little.

"We are too. I'm Mirabel Madrigal by the way and this is my Tio Bruno."

Elsa nodded to Mirabel then had gotten a look at the man called Bruno's face. Elsa kept staring at him and Bruno kept staring at her. Their eyes never leaving each other.

Bruno could not believe it. A stranger who had powers...like him and his family. They were not alone. And she was...quite beautiful to look at too. Braided light-blonde hair, almost resembling the color of snow, rose-red lips and eyes that sparkled and were as blue as ice. Bruno felt his face redden as his green-brown orbs had borne into Elsa's.

Elsa tried to avoid the faint blush on her cheeks but it was no use. After gazing at each other for what seemed like hours to them but was only a minute, Elsa regained her queen-like composure and cleared her throat.

"Oh. Forgive me. I'm Elsa. Queen Elsa of Arendelle." Elsa greeted.

"You're the Queen of Arendelle?!" Mirabel asked, shocked.

"Your Majesty...Forgive us. We didn't know." Bruno said hurriedly.

Bruno had put Daniela down then quickly bowed making Elsa chuckle. She went over towards Bruno then helped him stand back up then shook her head.

"Used to be Queen as far as I'm concerned. There's no need for formalities."

Bruno nodded then Elsa realized her hands were still on Bruno's chest, causing Elsa's blush to deepen. She quickly moved away then cleared her throat then had tossed her braid back that had fallen onto her shoulder, trying not to face Bruno.

"I'm sort of looking of a way to stay low and be away from Arendelle for quite some time." Elsa said.

"We do have inns available for you and the ship's crew, Elsa. Or if you want to...you can even come stay with our family for a couple days." Mirabel offered.

"Mirabel..." Bruno whispered, staring at her, surprised.

"I wouldn't want to intrude..."

"Well, if you're looking for somebody who knows about this village, us Madrigals do. If you're interested, we can tell you everything you want to know." Mirabel suggested.

"Mirabel..." Bruno called out, slightly aloud.

"I really shouldn't..."

"We'd be happy to have you for company." Mirabel insisted.

"Mirabel!"

Mirabel and Elsa turned to Bruno. Bruno opened his mouth to argue but then he looked at Elsa. If the family saw what Elsa could do, perhaps his Ma'ma would actually be accepting of her. It was worth a shot.

"...I think that'd be nice. We'd be glad to have you, Your Majesty...I mean...Elsa."

"Thank you very much then...Bruno."

For some reason, to Bruno, the way Elsa said his name made his heart swell, her tone was so gentle and melodious. And to Elsa, the way Bruno smiled at her made her feel as if she found someone she could trust.

"We'd better start heading back, Tio."

"Oh. Right."

And with that said, the trio had begun to head towards the mountains where the Encanto lied. Elsa did not know if the rest of the Madrigal family would like her especially if they also found out she had magic but it wouldn't hurt to find out. What do I have to lose that I already gained? Elsa thought, staring at her new friends...especially Bruno.
