When Alma had seen what she'd done to Elsa, she was surprised but only for a second...barely a second. Bruno stared at her as if he did not know who she was...that she was someone dangerous.

Bruno turned back to Elsa then had looked at the scratch on her cheek worriedly for a moment then had pressed their foreheads together, their noses touching.

"Are you sure you're alright, Elsa?" Bruno whispered.

"I'm alright, Bruno. It's...it's only a scratch." Elsa replied, nodding, touching her bloodied cheek.

"She could've ripped your cheek apart, mi amor." Bruno said, still very concerned.

"But she didn't. I'm fine." Elsa said, laying her hands on Bruno's chest.

Bruno nodded then kissed Elsa then her forehead. Bruno glared at his M'ma but then he turned to Mirabel and Dolores who were still clearly shaken about what just occurred but Antonio looked the worst. Bruno led Elsa over to his two sobrinas.

"Dolores, Mira, can you take Elsa up to the nursery to have the scratch mended? Antonio, you go with them." Bruno instructed.

"Are you mad at us about what happened, Tio?" Antonio asked, his eyes beginning to fill with tears.

"No, Tonio. Like I said, it's not your fault. Go on ahead. I want to talk to your Abuela." Bruno said in a gentle tone.

Antonio nodded then grabbed onto Mirabel's hand then followed Dolores who was leading Elsa away and out of the dining area. Elsa looked over her shoulder at Bruno and he smiled at her then she smiled back. Once everyone else was gone and Bruno and Alma were alone, Bruno turned to his mother. It was so quiet that the only sound that could be heard was the brief chirp of a bird outside.

"Bruno, one of us has to say something."

"What do you expect me to say to you now, M'ma?"

"You know better than to use that kind of tone with me..."

Alma had jumped a little when Bruno suddenly punched the wall. Her son had NEVER been able to make her have a reaction like that. But then she quickly regained her composure.

"Do not act like this Brunito!" Alma scolded.

"SHUT THE HELL UP, M'MA!" Bruno suddenly yelled.

"Bruno..."

"All my life, you have been telling me what to do! That it's better if I was never seen or heard! But I have so much to say to you now that this has happened! How could you do that to Elsa?! It could've been a lot worse than it was! She was not doing anything to you!"

"She made the mistake by returning here!"

"No, M'ma! It wasn't a mistake! Having Elsa come back was the greatest thing to happen. To both of us. I love her more than anything else in this world. The exact same kind of love you and Papi shared. I...I want to some day marry her and...and have children."

"Bruno, you are talking nonsense! Do you hear yourself?! This talk of marriage and children, I could never allow you to have descendants with this woman!"

"And I suppose Papi married you because you were all pretty looks and an adorable laugh? Pretending to be so clumsy when you first met, isn't that so original? Maybe you only married Papi so you could get pregnant." Bruno remarked.

"How dare you?! You mock not only me, but your father!"

"At least he would've been more loving and accepting towards Elsa. From the stories you always told me and Juli and Pepa, he was that type of person. He never cared about stature or perfectionism...unlike you. With you, we always had to exceed your expectations. Once you found out that my Gift was not all that you wanted or when Mirabel did not receive one, you saw us as those who didn't deserve any form of love at all. At least not from you. Now seeing what you'd done to Elsa, I wonder if you're capable of that at all anymore."

Alma's angry glare had gone away once Bruno had said that. She studied Bruno's face and could see no trace of regret, only pure hatred and coldness in his eyes.

"Did I finally tell you the truth, M'ma? Or maybe you knew that all along."

Alma's look of shock had worn off then she stared back at Bruno with just as much malice. She moved closer to Bruno and Bruno's hard stare had faltered slightly, wondering if his mother was going to strike him next but instead she just kept glaring at him.

"I want you out of Casita, Bruno. Tonight. Take your witch with you and do not come back. Ever."

Bruno had now looked surprised. Could he really leave Casita and the rest of his family behind? He did not want to do that but if he didn't, Elsa could've be possibly subjected to Alma's abuse all over again. He wanted to protect Elsa. Her safety mattered more. As long as she was inside Casita, Alma could do harm to her. Bruno had then frowned at Alma.

"We will be gone, M'ma."

Bruno had then left the dining area. Once Bruno had left, Alma's anger had gone away and what was left were tears filling her eyes. Tears of sadness and anger but mostly...sadness. She did not really want Bruno to go but she also could no longer stand the sight of Elsa either. Alma had sat down into her chair then her head was bowed down, not knowing what to feel next.

Bruno had gone up the stairs. He was still clearly very angry with his mother. But he did not want Elsa to know that...yet. Bruno had made it to the nursery door. He had opened it and saw Elsa sitting on the bed while Dolores had just finished bandaging up her scratch. Mirabel and Antonio turned to him.

"Is...everything alright now, Tio?" Mirabel asked.

"I...I want to talk Elsa alone."

Mirabel and Dolores nodded then began to leave. Antonio went over to Elsa then looked up at her, smiling.

"I'm glad you're my friend, Elsa. I want you to know that." Antonio said.

Elsa smiled then kissed Antonio's forehead then Antonio followed Dolores and Mirabel out of the nursery then Dolores closed the door behind them. Bruno looked over at Elsa then he had walked over and sat on the bed beside her then had grabbed onto her hands.

"How are you feeling now?" Bruno asked.

"It had stopped hurting once the bandage had been placed. I'm okay." Elsa assured.

Bruno smiled but Elsa could tell that something had gone wrong. Elsa scooted closer to Bruno's side then squeezed his hands, staring at him in concern.

"Bruno...What was said down there?"

Bruno looked at Elsa then had touched her un-bandaged cheek and stroked it. He looked like he was trying to hold back tears which concerned Elsa more.

"Bruno..."

"...M'ma wants us to leave Casita as soon as we're able."

"What? But this is your home. I...I was hoping it could be ours...together. And Antonio and Mirabel, they..."

Bruno sighed then had held onto Elsa then had pressed their foreheads together, continuing to stroke her cheek, some tears finally welling in his eyes.

"...I know mi vida, I do not like it anymore than you do. But...if we keep staying, there's no guarantee that my mother won't harm you again."

"This is all my fault. I never should've come here." Elsa said, looking away.

"Elsa...if you didn't come here...where would I be?" Bruno asked.

Elsa turned back towards Bruno. Her own eyes began to fill with tears. Bruno placed his arm around Elsa's shoulders then kissed her forehead.

"I don't know what I would be like if I haven't met you."

Elsa smiled a little then had kissed Bruno then she stood up and went over to the window. She looked outside and saw Antonio playing with his jaguar while Dolores, Mirabel and Camilo watched. Bruno joined her side then Elsa turned to him.

"It had been so long since I felt like I had a family again then when I met you, Mirabel and Antonio and even some of the other members...I thought once I came back, I wasn't going to lose that. Do you really, really want to leave those we care about? And the only home you've ever lived in?"

Bruno looked out at his sobrinas and sobrinos. The twisted feeling in his heart returned at having to leave them along with his hermanas Julieta and Pepa. And he also cared a great deal about Casita...the Encanto itself around the house. But Elsa...Elsa was more than just someone he loved and cared deeply about. She was his world.

"Elsa...no matter where I go, you are my home."

"And your family...?"

"That will not be easy but...I know they would understand why this has to be done. I will miss them a lot, but you come first in my life."

Elsa finally smiled fully then wiped her tears then hugged Bruno tightly. Bruno finally allowed his tears to spill down his cheeks. It was indeed gonna be a sad night when he and Elsa had to leave but they could not stay here. He hoped that someday they would all be together. But for now, he just wanted to seek comfort with his love knowing he would never see Casita or his family again.

And just as Bruno and Elsa had imagined, when they were to leave, it was heartbreaking. All of the family but Alma had gathered to say goodbye. Elsa had let Bruno say his goodbyes first. Bruno had approached Julieta and Pepa first.

"Bruno, we never wanted it come to this." Julieta said, tears welling in her eyes.

"I know, Juli. I know."

"I did not approve of Elsa either but after seeing just how M'ma had acted towards her, I am more than happy to say that I will miss you both and would not care if M'ma had dropped off the face of the earth at this moment. Truly. You both will always be loved and trusted in my book from now on." Pepa added.

"Gracias, Pepa. And we will miss you too." Bruno said.

Bruno had hugged both of his sisters, not wanting to let go but he knew he also had to keep saying goodbye. After the three siblings had hugged, Bruno had then went over to his sobrinas and sobrinos. He first moved over to Luisa.

"Take care of yourself, princesa. You know I'm proud of you."

"Do...Do you really have to go? Can't we just convince Abuela and..."

"it won't do any good, mi querida."

Luisa sniffled then nodded then she hugged her Tio. Bruno was gonna miss her hugs the most. Bruno had then gone over to Camilo next. Camilo looked up at his Tio sadly.

"Who's gonna help me pull pranks on Dolores or Isa now?" Camilo asked.

"Will you please at least try to get better at that for me?"

"Never."

Bruno chuckled then ruffled Camilo's hair then had hugged him. Bruno really was going to miss helping Camilo with those pranks. bruno had then made his way over to Isabela. Bruno touched Isabela's cheek. They looked at each other. No words needed to be said then Isabela had hugged Bruno.

"Goodbye, mi flora. I love you. And you will find a great guy some time."

"I'm just happy you found someone, Tio."

Bruno kissed Isabela's forehead then he had moved over to Dolores. Dolores was looking down quietly crying then Bruno lifted up her chin then shook his head.

"You know I'm not mad at you about everything that happened."

"I-I know." Dolores sniffled.

"Goodbye, Dolores."

"G-Goodbye, Tio."

Bruno had hugged Dolores then also kissed her forehead. Bruno then knelt down to Antonio then had placed him upon his lap. Antonio looked up at his uncle, tears also flooding his eyes.

"I don't want you and Elsa to leave either, Tio."

"Hey. We are never gonna forget about you, Tonio. We're gonna miss everything about you."

"You are?"

"We are. Can you be brave for us and look after the family for me?"

"You want me to do that?"

"Absolutely." Bruno chuckled.

"I won't let you down." Antonio said, now happily.

Bruno had then stood up, holding Antonio in his arms then had tickled him, making him giggle. Antonio's pet jaguar then came up to them. Bruno had petted its head then looked at Antonio.

"And really do make sure this big guy does get trained."

"I will. Promise."

Bruno nodded then he had set Antonio down on the floor then had given him a small hug then kissed his forehead. Last was Mirabel. Bruno's heart had completely shattered at seeing his favorite sobrina for the last time. No words for needed them either. After staring at each other sadly for only a couple of seconds, Mirabel threw herself into Bruno's arms and hugged him as tight her M'ma and Tia Pepa and Luisa put together but Bruno didn't care because he hugged Mirabel just as tightly. After pulling away, Bruno had placed his hands on Mirabel's shoulders.

"I love you, mi mariposa."

"I...I love you too, Tio Bruno." Mirabel choked out.

Bruno had hugged Mirabel again then kissed her forehead. Bruno had then let Elsa say goodbye to the family. She had grabbed onto both of Pepa and Julieta's hands then she had hugged Luisa and Dolores and Isabela and nodded over to Augustin and Felix who smiled then Elsa knelt down to Antonio.

"I'm really gonna miss you Antonio."

"I'll miss you too, Elsa."

Elsa had hugged Antonio then stood back up then had moved over to Mirabel. She had grabbed onto her hands then had hugged her. When they pulled away, Elsa had touched Mirabel's shoulder.

"No matter where me and Bruno go, I'm gonna remember all of you." Elsa said.

Mirabel had touched Elsa's hand then they hugged again then Elsa had gone back over to Bruno. The two had grabbed hands then had looked at the family one last time then they had walked away and out of Casita's doors. Bruno and Elsa had looked up at the house then Bruno had waved at it with a sad smile.

"Adios, Casita." Bruno whispered.

Elsa leaned her head on Bruno's shoulder then Bruno had smiled and kissed her. They had continued walking away as Alma had watched from her window. She looked sad but then had quickly stared at them angrily then had closed the window.

Bruno and Elsa had walked and walked till they were away from the mountains and into the village. They had then gone over to the dock where the ship for Arendelle had waited for them. Bruno turned to Elsa.

"Are you sure this is what you want you to do?" Bruno asked.

"Yes." Elsa said, nodding.

Elsa turned to Bruno then touched his cheek then laid her hand on his chest then had turned her head back over to the ship and had moved close to Bruno's side.

"I think I can face anything now as long as I have you, remember?"

Bruno had kissed Elsa's forehead then they had grabbed hands then the walkway was placed in front of them. They had gone up to the ship, hands still locked together and not looking back once.

When they had made it onboard, they had gone over to the railing and had their arms around each other as they watched the sight of Colombia become distant as the ship had sailed away.
