Elsa and Bruno had continued walking and then made their way into the parlor, where they saw Anna sitting in a chair then Bruno saw a young man beside her with his hand on her shoulder. This had to be Hans. And for some reason...Bruno could also sense there was indeed something conceited and definitely untrustworthy about him. But he did not want to voice his opinion yet. If he wanted Anna and Elsa to understand each other and make amends about this, he wasn't going to interfere. Elsa had then sat in a chair across from Anna while Bruno stood by her side. Hans saw Bruno and gave a look of confusion for a moment but then he turned to Elsa.

"Your Majesty." Hans greeted, giving a slight bow.

"Hello Prince Hans." Elsa greeted back formally, nodding.

"So...who's going to say something first?" Anna asked, looking between her sister and fiancée.

"I suppose I will." Elsa replied, shrugging.

"Elsa, do you really think that's fair?" Anna asked, frowning.

Elsa opened her mouth to argue with Anna but then Bruno gently gripped her shoulder then she turned to him then grabbed onto his hand. Bruno leaned over and touched Elsa's cheek.

"Maybe you should let Hans talk first, corazon." Bruno suggested, whispering.

Elsa looked over at Hans and Anna then she sighed and exhaled. If she wanted things to hopefully turn out her way, she knew she had to let Anna also get in a word in. Not just her. Elsa had grabbed back onto Bruno's hand then she smiled a little.

"You may say what you want to say first then, Hans." Elsa said, quietly.

Hans nodded then after kissing Anna's hand, he had made his way over to Elsa. He looked at Bruno in confusion again then back to Elsa then cleared his throat.

"Your Majesty, before I begin...may I please know more about your guest?"

"Oh. Of course. This is Bruno of...the Madrigal family. I had met him while I was away from Arendelle. Well, things happened and we had fallen in love." Elsa explained, looking over at Bruno, now smiling lovingly.

"Oh. I see." Hans said, looking over at Bruno.

Bruno could instantly see slight hatred reflect in Hans's eyes. Apparently, he did not want him present. Then Hans had focused back on Elsa and quickly smiled.

"I suppose we should begin our conversation now."

"If you wish to."

Hans had then returned back to Anna's side and had also put a hand on her shoulder while she had touched his hand then Hans looked over at Elsa and Bruno.

"Your Majesty...I know you don't want me to marry your sister Princess Anna...but if you could just see things from my point of view." Hans began.

"And what exactly is your point of view, Hans?" Elsa asked.

"You see, growing up, I had to live with my 12 brothers. It was never easy due to me being the youngest. They had always told me I'd never amount to anything except being the follower rather than a leader someday. But I did not wish to rule a kingdom, all I searched for in my years was someone to love me and not see me as a simple nobody. When I met Anna, I was given that chance." Hans said, looking at Anna, tilting up her chin.

"What do you know of being a nobody, Hans? Would you care to enlighten me on that?" Elsa asked, trying to keep her voice calm, nearly failing.

"Oh. I mean no offense to you, Your Majesty. Never. But I think there is a difference between being seen as a nobody rather than an actual...threat."

"Excuse me?" Elsa asked, frowning again.

"Oh. What I mean is that well nobodies are always constantly put down or thinking they should never exist. A person who assumes they're a threat is someone who fears being judged by a sudden action they'd committed when they did not mean to."

"Someone like me." Elsa said, bitterly.

"But...but you can change, Your Majesty, since you also found someone you loved to help you." Hans quickly added, gesturing to Bruno.

The fact that Hans had basically called Elsa a monster had made Bruno's blood boil from the inside. He did not want to say anything but hearing this so-called prince talk to his love in that matter was enough for him.

"She was never a threat at all, Prince Hans." Bruno said, trying to also keep his voice calm, completely failing miserably.

"But I believe this isn't about you, Bruno of the Madrigals." Hans replied, trying to sound polite.

"No. But it's also not just about you or Anna. It's also about Elsa's feelings. And do you think that I will stand and listen to you insult her?"

"I did not insult her, sir. I was only stating facts."

"You act like nobody ever understood you. But nobody endured that more than Elsa. But I know exactly what she went through because I was the same way. For most of my life, I also had magic. I was given the power to see into the future. But people back where I had come from deemed me as an omen of bad luck. Also a threat. When I lost my Gift, I never ridded myself of the feeling that I was still just that but then when I met Elsa, all of those feelings had gone away. She saw me as a person. And I saw her only as a person. I did not care if she had magic, I loved everything else about her. Seeing past either traits or flaws is what true love is really about." Bruno said, fuming internally.

Elsa stared at Bruno in surprise for a moment but then she had grabbed onto his hand. Bruno turned to Elsa and his eyes immediately had softened, all pent-up anger vanishing. Elsa had stood up and then she grabbed onto both of Bruno's hands then kissed his cheek then they both turned to Hans.

"And the point I am trying to make Hans is that do you and will you truly, truly love Anna without any strings attached?" Elsa asked.

"What made you think I had another motive for loving Anna?"

"Well...I thought at first that maybe you did want to see yourself as a leader. Leader of Arendelle. And since I was gone, I couldn't interfere with your plan."

Anna had then stood up and grabbed onto Hans's arm then she turned to Elsa, glowering. Bruno looked at the two sisters. This was not going well at all apparently.

"Elsa, how could you accuse Hans of doing something so awful? He'd never want to marry me just so we could be king and queen." Anna argued.

"What if his intentions were to rule alone though, Anna?"

"Are you saying Hans had plans to..."

Elsa nodded. Hans now also glared at the Queen of Arendelle, a small scowl upon his features. He walked towards Elsa and then had suddenly grabbed her wrist before she or Bruno could react then yanked her down towards him.

"Let's be clear on one thing, Your Majesty. The fact you'd accuse me of treason and murder on top of it is enough to not make me want to kill you but I think we're both lucky I'm not that man, aren't we?" Hans hissed into Elsa's ear.

But Bruno heard Hans' warning and he then had grabbed onto Hans' arm causing him to look up. It was an intense stare down but then Bruno gripped Hans's arm tighter.

"Let...her...go...now."

Hans continued glaring at Bruno but then he had secretly pulled out a small dagger from his belt. Elsa had noticed it though and just as Hans had pulled back, ready to aim the blade at Bruno, Elsa had stood in front of them.

"Don't..."

Hans had plunged the small knife, expecting to stab Bruno, but then to his surprise and Bruno's horror, Elsa had suddenly let out a pained gasp and she looked down to see blood forming on her gown against her side. Elsa's eyes then began opening and closing then she began falling towards the ground. Everything was such a blur that she didn't feel Bruno catching her.

"No, no, no, no, no." Bruno repeated over and over, growing hysterical.

Anna, after recovering from her own shock at what she just witnessed, she had gone over to Elsa while Bruno continued holding her against him, stroking her hair, trying to revive her. Anna knelt down and grabbed Elsa's hand.

"Elsa, Elsa, wake up." Anna called out.

Hans had approached the two then he had put his bloody dagger back into his belt then he had slowly laid a hand on Anna's shoulder, Anna turned to him, her eyes full of concern for her sister.

"I never wanted to hurt her, Anna. I'm sorry."

Anna stared at Hans angrily. Bruno also looked at the prince. He could see on Hans's face that his apology was NOT sincere. He could see a trace of a small smirk.

"But you do still love me even though I didn't mean to...right?"

Anna had stood up and looked ready to punch Hans. Bruno saw Hans again secretly take out the dagger as Anna got closer. Bruno saw Elsa in his arms, her eyes nearly closed, any sign of life slowly slipping away then he saw Hans an inch closer to also stabbing Anna. Elsa was right about him. He was a villain. And this villain needed to be stopped or Elsa and Anna did not stand a chance. Bruno had gently laid Elsa down then had stood up and ran over to Hans and pushed him down before he could harm Anna too. Hans struggled underneath Bruno. For a man of 50 years, he was stronger than him. Hans tried to raise the dagger over at Bruno but then Bruno had twisted his arm again and disarmed him, the dagger falling to the floor. Bruno had grabbed it and prepared to stab Hans but then...

"Bruno, no!" Elsa cried out, weakly.

Bruno turned to Elsa now being held onto by Anna. She looked near death but Bruno could see her eyes were internally pleading to him. If he killed Hans, that would make him a murderer, somebody who was cold and cruel much like the prince of the Southern Isles. Bruno did not want to be that way. Elsa didn't want him to be that way. Bruno looked down at Hans then he had aimed the dagger at his throat making him give out a small, fearful whimper.

"In Elsa's place, I banish you from Arendelle. I could kill you but I think we will let your family deal with that instead. Until then, you're going to be placed into the dungeon where you can NEVER attempt to murder my love or her sister again." Bruno growled out.

Hans nodded then Bruno had gotten off of him then he had knelt back down to Elsa and cradled her in his arms. Anna walked over to Hans and stared down at him and shook her head.

"Bruno's right. Elsa was right. As far as I'm concerned, this engagement is off. An execution is the perfect punishment for people like you." Anna said, the tone of her voice as cold as Elsa's magic. "Guards!"

Two guards had come in. They were also horrified when they saw Elsa wounded and in Bruno's arms then they turned to Anna and had gone over to her then bowed.

"Yes, Princess Anna?"

"Arrest Prince Hans on accounts of treason to the crown and murder upon the royals." Anna ordered.

The guards had nodded then had pulled Hans up and grabbed onto his arms. Hans stared menacingly at Anna but then the guards led him out of the room. When the doors closed, Anna had gone over to Bruno then she knelt back down and grabbed back onto Elsa's hand then she looked at Bruno.

"I'm going to fetch our physician."

Anna ran out of the room next while Bruno had looked at Elsa. Bruno had continued his task of stroking Elsa's hair to help her stay alert. Elsa looked up at Bruno then she smiled painfully and touched his cheek.

"I'm...I'm glad you didn't go through with killing Hans." Elsa said, her voice hoarse.

"I wanted to but I wanted to respect your wishes."

"At...at least Anna is no longer going to marry him. Things are as they should be."

Bruno nodded in agreement then Elsa let out a sharp gasp. Bruno had grabbed onto her hand and gripped it. Sad and concerned-filled eyes looked down into pained and lightless blue orbs.

"Elsa, amor, hold on. Hold on for me, okay?"

"For you. I'll try to do that."

Elsa indeed tried her best to stay awake while Bruno held onto her and talked to her, murmuring sweet and loving words, until Anna and the physician had arrived.

A couple of hours later, Bruno and Anna were waiting outside of Elsa's bedroom as the doctor mended her wound. Bruno was growing impatient. He was not going to be put at ease until he knew Elsa was going to live. Anna saw how anxious Bruno looked then she had touched his shoulder. Bruno turned to her then Anna gave him an assuring smile. Bruno tried to smile back but it was no use. He was too stressed.

The door had finally opened and Bruno and Anna stood up and went over to the doctor. They gazed at him, awaiting an answer. The doctor quietly closed the door then after staring at the two, he smiled and nodded.

"She is going to be fine. She will have to rest for quite awhile until her stitches have healed but she is going to live." The doctor confirmed.

Anna beamed and hugged the doctor. Bruno gave out a huge sigh of relief, tears flowing in his eyes. He thought he was going to lose Elsa but just hearing that she was alive...

Bruno had gone into Elsa's room while Anna was distracted hugging the doctor. Bruno had closed the door then he saw Elsa lying in her bed, awake but also nearly asleep at the same time. Bruno had walked over to Elsa's bedside and she turned to him.

"Hi." Elsa whispered.

"Hi." Bruno whispered back.

Bruno had sat down and had taken Elsa's hand then kissed it. He had caressed Elsa's cheek while she stared at him, a content smile on her lips, her eyes now full of love.

"You don't know how concerned I was, mi vida. Thinking that I came so close to losing you, it scared me more than I can imagine." Bruno said, swallowing down a lump in his throat.

"Shh. Shh. Let's not talk about that anymore. I'm here and you're here and Anna is also safe and Hans can't do anything else to us." Elsa assured gently.

"Right."

Bruno had kissed Elsa's hand again then he had sat on the bed then leaned over and kissed Elsa then stroked her hair.

"I'm going to stay by your side as you recover, mi corazon. If you need me, I'm gonna be there."

"I know it."

"But for now, you must sleep. It's what you need."

Elsa nodded then had closed her eyes. Bruno had touched her cheek then he had laid down beside her and carefully held onto her as she rested her head against his shoulder. Bruno kissed his forehead then had also drifted off to sleep. It was going to be a long and possible painful recovery for Elsa but Bruno was going to stand by her throughout it. Nothing was going to break that promise.
