Bruno kept true to his word and he stayed and helped Elsa recover every day and night. It was a painful process for the Queen but with Bruno at her side, she had managed to pull through.

Elsa was finally well enough to go outside and get some fresh air. She suffered from bed sores so Bruno had to help her down the stairs as they walked outside of the castle.

Once Elsa was safely on the ground again, she had grabbed onto Bruno's arm and they began walking and seeing the village. Some people acknowledged them. Once they had heard from Anna that Elsa exploited Hans and Bruno had saved her from attempted murder, it didn't take long for the citizens to accept them.

Seeing her subjects greet her in a friendly manner once more really made Elsa feel better. Another reason was that while she was recovering, she had found out that Anna met someone else. A fellow ice harvester named Kristoff. Elsa approved of her new suitor this time. He was far more trustworthy. So everything was finally falling back into place like Elsa hoped.

As they continued walking, Elsa leaned against Bruno then Bruno had kissed her forehead, tucking a strand of her hair behind her ear, smiling warmly at her.

"How are you feeling, mi amor?"

"I feel great now. Not only am I nearly healed from my wounds but I feel such relief knowing Hans is out of our way and can't hurt us anymore."

"When I think of what he almost had done to you..."

"Hey. We agreed to not talk about that. He's gone and we still got each other." Elsa reminded in a gentle tone.

"You're right, mi vida." Bruno replied, nodding, slowly relaxing.

As Bruno stared at his love, he couldn't help but feel like the happiest man alive. No other woman made him feel that way. He didn't want another woman in his life to make him feel like that...forever. Bruno had then grabbed onto Elsa's hand and gently squeezed it.

"Come on. I wanna show you something."

"What is it?" Elsa asked, curiously.

"You'll see."

Bruno had continued leading Elsa by the hand while Elsa wondered exactly where Bruno was taking her. Bruno escorted Elsa away from the village and into the forest, much to her confusion.

"Bruno, where..."

"We're almost there, carino." Bruno whispered.

Bruno pushed some bushes out of the way then had grabbed back onto Elsa's hand. When they had reached a clearing, Elsa suddenly gasped in awe at what she saw in her line of vision.

There was a beautiful sparkling river along with a picnic blanket and basket perfectly set nearby and a tree for shading. After admiring the sight for a moment, Elsa turned to Bruno.

"Is...Is this for us?"

"Yeah. Do...Do you like it?" Bruno asked, now looking nervous.

Elsa had stared back at the small romantic view in front of her then she had turned back to Bruno then had touched his cheek then drew him in for a soft yet passionate kiss. When they pulled apart, Elsa had pressed their foreheads together.

"What do you think?"

"You mean you like it?"

"I love it, Bruno. It's sweet."

Bruno grabbed Elsa's hand and then they had walked over to where the picnic blanket was. Elsa sat down followed by Bruno. Bruno then opened up the picnic basket. Inside was sandwiches, different types of cheeses, tarts and a bottle of wine.

"My favorite foods." Elsa said, giggling.

"Anna helped out with that."

Bruno had then laid out the food for him and Elsa. Then he had taken out two glasses and had poured the wine into each of them. After giving one to Elsa, he had kissed her forehead.

"Here's to us."

"To us."

They had clinked their glasses together and afterwards, had proceeded to eat. An hour later, after the picnic was finished, Elsa was relaxing against the tree, staring at the flowing river, while Bruno had his head on her lap. Elsa treaded her fingers against Bruno's hair then had looked down at him.

"Where did you find this spot?"

"Oh. Anna helped with that too." Bruno replied, shrugging.

"Did she really help you plan all this?"

"Well...not everything."

"What do you mean?"

Bruno sighed then he had stood up then had helped Elsa up to her feet then grabbed onto her hands, gazing into her blue eyes, their noses and lips close to touching.

"Elsa...There's another reason why I chose to do this. When I had first met you, I knew you would be the one I wanted to hold and love forever. You had seen me better than anyone else. Nobody had ever done that with me before. When I look at you, I see home, I see a future of us with children and growing old together. You are my life. My entire world. I don't want us to lose what we have. I made a vow once that I would be around to take care of you and I want to uphold that vow by taking that first step into the future I dreamed about...if you'll have me." Bruno said.

And with that, Bruno had knelt down on one knee and Elsa gasped when Bruno had taken out a small ring box and opened it. Elsa saw a small silver and gold diamond ring sparkling much like the river. Bruno had taken Elsa's hand and looked up at her.

"Queen Elsa of Arendelle...will you do me the honor and become my wife? Will you marry me?" Bruno asked, looking hopeful.

Tears had flown into Elsa's eyes as she smiled lovingly at Bruno. She looked at the ring and Bruno staring up at her expectantly. She had touched Bruno's cheek then nodded.

"Yes. Yes, of course, I will." Elsa said, choked up, chuckling.

Bruno grinned as tears also welled up into his eyes then he had slipped the ring onto Elsa's finger then had stood up. Bruno wrapped his arms around Elsa and had kissed her deeply. Elsa had cupped Bruno's face and the kiss became deeper and deeper as if not getting any oxygen didn't matter at that moment. When they realized they were both losing breath, they had finally pulled away from each other but still held each other close.

"I love you, querida."

"And I love you, Bruno."

Sometime later, Bruno and Elsa had returned to the castle and they had immediately told Anna the good news. Anna naturally had become excited and it didn't take her long to run off to start making wedding plans.

Later that night, inside of Elsa's bedroom, Elsa and Bruno were lying together in bed, the sheets covering both of their nude bodies, after having a blissful round of love making. Elsa was resting her head against Bruno's bare chest while his arm was draped over her shoulders. Elsa cuddled against Bruno then sighed quietly.

"I can't wait to spend my whole life with you." Elsa whispered.

"I cannot wait either, Elsa."
