Bruno could not believe he was returning back to Colombia, back to the Encanto, back to Casita, more importantly, back home to his family. He was still hesitant to leave. Elsa was his home. All he wanted was his new life with her and their child but no matter what he'd do, memories of his old life with his family never left his mind. They'd always be there. He did miss his sisters and nieces and nephews, he couldn't deny that, but he was more concerned for Elsa and the baby.
As the ship had continued sailing over to Colombia, Bruno looked over and saw Elsa leaning against the railing, admiring the view of the ocean. Seeing her beautiful face and pregnant figure silhouetted by the moonlight made her look like a sight he couldn't look away from. He didn't want to look away ever. Bruno had smiled warmly at his wife then he had gone over to her and moved beside her, Elsa turned to him then she rested her head against his shoulder then Bruno had kissed her forehead.
"Are you sure you're warm enough, mi corazon?" Bruno asked in a soft, concerned tone.
"We're fine." Elsa replied, kissing Bruno's cheek.
"Maybe it's not too late to turn back around to Arendelle, the ship is always rocking and you need a more comfortable bed..."
"Bruno..."
Elsa and Bruno faced each other then Elsa had gently grabbed onto Bruno's hands then guided them over to her belly between them. Bruno could feel their son or daughter kicking. Bruno's tension had lessened as he caressed Elsa's belly, gazing down at it, love and pride reflecting in his eyes.
"At least one of us is going through this just fine." Bruno said, chuckling weakly.
"Too bad their Daddy isn't." Elsa added, staring at Bruno, concerned.
"Elsa, amor..."
Elsa sighed then touched Bruno's cheek then had stroked his hair then they had pressed their foreheads together, their lips nearly touching as Elsa had again laid her hand against her husband's face.
"You said you were alright with us going, Bruno." Elsa said in a quiet, loving tone.
Bruno had also sighed then he kissed Elsa and then had grabbed onto her hands as they stayed close together then Bruno had caressed the edge of Elsa's cheek with his thumb.
"You know there's nothing I want more than to be with my hermanas and their children again but I have you and our own child to think about. If M'ma does something to harm you both, I don't know how things will turn out for us or the rest of the family."
"Bruno..."
Bruno had then gently cupped Elsa's face into his hands then kissed her forehead as they stared into each other's eyes.
"I just want you and the baby to be safe."
Bruno then knelt down to Elsa's belly and had gently kissed it then had gently placed his nose against it, staring at it with such love but also fear.
"I'm not willing to put you or our future at risk. You both are my life." Bruno whispered, not taking his eyes off the swell of Elsa's belly.
Elsa had helped Bruno up to his feet then she laid her hands against his chest then had kissed him then they pulled away then Bruno had placed his hands against Elsa's waist, holding her and their unborn child close as Elsa's hands returned where Bruno's heart was. She looked up at him then placed her nose against his.
"And you're our life and I don't want us put in danger either but we both miss the family and we need to try this out for the baby's sake." Elsa said firmly but also softly.
Bruno knew that he wasn't going to win this argument, he didn't win it back in Arendelle. He loved Elsa far too much to keep fighting with her. He didn't want to put any stress on his wife and child. Bruno sighed then he nodded and kissed Elsa.
"You're right. For our child, we need to at least try." Bruno finally said, smiling a little.
Elsa smiled fully then she carefully hugged Bruno and laid her head against his chest. As Bruno was embracing his love, all he could wonder was how this sudden return to their family was going to play out.
