Rebecca Chambers the long retired S.T.A.R.S officer turned University professor goes to work setting up shop in the labs, putting down her bags and logs into the computer.
"You seen the news lately? Crazy stuff going on in the middle east" said James a fellow university lab worker.
Curious, Rebecca pulls up news articles over the attack of the US Embassy in Urzikstan.
"Hey you're right. The US Embassy in Sakhra Urzikstan was the latest in a bioterrorist related attack. One of the victims was Claire Redfield of Terrasave...?"
"You knew her?" asked James
"Yeah...Yeah I did" said Rebecca.
"I'm so sorry. My condolences. I'll uh..grab your coffee order." said James.
As he goes for the door, he gets intercepted by Kate Laswell and the team.
"That actually sounds lovely. It's been a very long night for all of us." joked Kate.
"Eight Coffees then. One of them for Miss Chambers. What was it? Caramel macchiato with chocolate chips and whipped cream on top right?" asked Price.
Rebecca gets up from her seat.
"Can we help you?" asked Rebecca.
"Kate Laswell, CIA. This is John Price, Kyle Garrick, John MacTavish and Simon Riley of Task Force 141. We need your help."
"Along with some old friends" said Price moving out of the way as Claire and Leon entered the room.
"Leon? Claire?" asked Rebecca in shock.
"It's good to see you too" said Leon as the three shared a hug.
"I just read the news about Urzikstan. How did you survive?" asked Rebecca.
"I owe my debt of gratitude to Price and Kyle. They came in to rescue me. If they didn't, I would've been left for dead." said Claire.
"A Russian Ultranationalist was behind the attack in Urzikstan. He's been targeting us. Me, Claire. We believe you could be next." explained Leon.
"How can I help?" asked Rebecca.
Later as everyone's coffee was brought,
"A long since forgotten chemical weapon called Nova 6 was used in the attack. We believe Makarov got his hands on it to start a new world war. Nova 6 is a nerve gas that causes its victims to change into something infected. Leon was sent to Verdansk to intercept a convoy but it was a diversion Makarov exploited to enact the Embassy attack. Using it as a testing ground for what it can do. Delegates and civilians died yesterday. Claire nearly among them. We have some of our own sending data and intel on the bodies of the infected so you could help us figure out how we can make an airborne vaccine. This is out of our wheelhouse which is why we need you, Leon and Claire's help. Who better to help than those who fight bioterrorism on a daily basis." said Kate.
"Laswell this is Alex how copy?"
"Go ahead 3-1" said Kate.
"Intel's on the way should be reaching you know" said Alex.
Kate then pulls put her tablet as she recieves the data.
"Solid copy 3-1"
She hands Rebecca the tablet going through the data gathered from Urzikstan, setting it up through the lab computers.
The data is ran through the computer as everything is placed on screen for the team to see.
"What are we dealing with?" asked Price.
"The gas does go straight to the nervous system, killing those affected within a minute. But here's the thing. Right here *points to screen* there's something within the gas that changes the genetic makeup if in higher doses. Nothing that any of us have ever seen before with any other virus we've encountered."
"Maybe it's similar to the C-Virus back in 2012." suggested Leon.
"It's likely but nothing like any J'avo. Must be some stronger variant strains. When was this gas originated?" asked Rebecca.
"The Cold War. Most of the files on record are still classified." said Kate.
"Well we need them declassified then" said Price.
"More importantly we need to know Makarov's next target" said Gaz.
"You up for an international trip?" asked Price to Rebecca.
Rebecca gives a thumbs up.
Meanwhile outside well hidden...
"*Russian* Commander, target is within sight."
"*Russian* Leave her"
"*Russian* Commander?"
"*Russian* Pack up and exfil for the next mission"
"Yes commander Makarov.
"Captain Price...*Russian* Hell awaits"
"Laswell, we need you and your team back in Urzikstan. We have new intel on a lead for the Nova 6 gas." said Farah.
"Solid copy we are wheels up in five" said Kate.
