We are family

It's been four weeks since I saw Heather off with her parents and since then a few things have happened in my life like the letter Berk received from Alvin about how he was impressed by my trick with the book but also very angry and would get me for it. I've been developing new weapons to fight the Outcasts like my multi-arrow launcher, which sends off a barrage of arrows at the same time. I've also been training my dragons for battle by figuring out new moves for them to use when we fight like how Violet could send her spines through Scorch's flames lighting them or having Coal roll into a ball before Saphire uses her tail to fling him like a rock from a slingshot. I knew both attacks would come in handy when it came to the Outcasts naval attacks. I had also been practicing summoning my star sword and sending it back after getting a message from Hephaestus informing me that I could now summon it by myself but it would only come if I truly needed it or if I was on my own island. It was difficult at first but I got the hang of it.

Besides that Berk also got a visit from the Berserker tribe whose chief is now Dagur the deranged. Now that was one tough day for me since Dagur had heard about me training dragons and was looking for evidence so he could attack us with his armada. In order to avoid this along with any dragon casualties I had my dragons round up all the wild dragons on Berk and move them to the far side of the island for the day where my old base was. I spent an hour going through my old base thinking about how far I had come from the bullied little village runt who left the village and lived in a cave. Now I was a successful dragon rider with so many trophies from past victories, a fortune that would be worth more than a king's ransom which kept on growing, multiple dragons and animals at my command, the blessings of multiple gods, my own crops which were often more than enough to feed a whole village and to top it all off I have my own island which I'm pretty sure was going to be growing. Anyway back to dealing with Dagur and the Berserkers, when Dagur saw the new me and asked me about it I just told him I had been working harder in the forge which helped build up my muscles. This new me lead to him wanting to fight me in the old dragon kill ring. I won the fight and took his axe as a trophy and he wasn't happy about either of those things. I noticed this but fortunately I had a plan in place for just such a thing. Scorch, Coal, Violet, Toothless and Gas and Flash were hidden near the ring and did a fake raid. We ended up chasing Dagur off Berk while I used hand signals to direct my dragon's attacks. Now some might think my dad would be angry with me for pulling such a stunt but he was actually glad to get that psycho off Berk and I couldn't blame him.

Another thing to happen to me is I paid a visit to Breakneck bog to retrieve some things. The thing that was the cause of this trip was when I was sent looking for Trader Johan who was late to port. I found him floating on a piece of his ship and had to take him back to Berk for treatment. I turned out he was running late and decided to take a shortcut but had gotten too close to Breakneck Bog so the Smokebreaths took notice of him and attacked his ship which had something my dad wanted. I had been meaning to take my Smokebreaths for a visit to their old nest and after I brought them a large pile of scrap metal they were all too happy to see us again. I ended up leaving with not only Johans ship but also three bejeweled chests and that chest my dad wanted. I was surprised that the chest held a gift from my mother, which turned out to be a stuffed dragon from when I was a baby. It now rested in my bedroom on my nightstand as a reminder of her since if she was still around I'm pretty sure she would be slapping dad silly for all the stuff he put me through. As for Johans ship it took two days to repair and to get a new anchor for it since the Smothering Smokebreaths for their nest took his old anchor.

Right now I was standing in the cove with Toothless behind me as I looked around the cove remembering how this was the place it all started for me. This place holds so many memories and for me so much sentimental value. The reason I was here was to practice my dragon calls since I wanted to be able to call my dragons if we were separated from each other and I needed them. Another reason I was here practicing here was because it was Bork week, which is when we celebrate Bork the Bold who originally created the book of dragons. We always have a big celebration in his honor and this year my dad's asked me to put on a dragon show for the celebration. At first I turned him down telling him that I wasn't interested in performing for the village then he offered to pay me for the performance. I just reminded him of the time he saw my vault and with the mine it has only gotten fuller. He then offered to pay me with something that I was actually interested in having. He offered to pay me with Bork the Bolds notes and books on everything he knew about dragons. Now that was truly something I was interested in.

I looked up at the sky and watched as Coal, Violet, Scorch and Gas and Flash lead a group of their respected species they had rounded up in perfect formation for the show. I smiled as I switched Toothless' tail so he could fly on his own and signaled him to go practice leading the formations. He eagerly took off into the skies as I watched and smiled at the sight of my dragons before I heard a voice behind me ask.

"What the heck is this place?" I turned around and saw the other teens of Berk walking into the cove and looking around as I glared at them and asked.

"What are you lot doing here?" Snotlout answered.

"We came looking for you?"

"If it's to try and convince me to teach you how to train dragons then you're wasting both your time and my time." Fishleggs stepped forward.

"Please Hiccup! We're sorry for everything we did to you so don't you think you can give us another chance."

"Sorry isn't going to take away the years of pain and torment you lot put me through or how the twins continued to wreck my reputation further by sabotaging my invention so they caused nothing but damage." Astrid then walked forward.

"What if Snotlout and the twins returned all the stuff they stole from you?"

"They already did that and I'm still not going to teach you lot anything."

"Oh come on this could help the village more then just sitting here yelling strange things into the sky."

"I'm not yelling anything into the sky, I'm practicing my dragon calls for the dragon show my dads having me do for the Bork week celebration." Snotlout then walked up with an arrogant grin.

"Oh please anyone can do that." He then let out a dragon call that I knew all too well.

"Snotlout I admit that was an impressive call" He gave an arrogant smile. "but if I was you I would start running." His smile fell to be replaced with one of confusion.

"Why should I start running?" I smiled.

"Because that was the mating call of a female monstrous nightmare and it looks like you've got some suitors coming." I pointed towards the sky where three male monstrous nightmares were flying towards us. "Start running Snotlout because if they catch you it means there's going to be trouble for you." He just screamed and ran as I laughed. Once he was gone the twins walked forward as Tuffnut said.

"Okay now that was funny but seriously Hiccup can't you teach us how to train dragons." He then rubbed his hands together and had a big smile. "Just imagine all the destruction we could cause with a dragons of our own." Ruffnut then ran up to my side and stroked my arm much to my disgust.

"And when you aren't teaching you could spend the time alone shirtless with me relaxing you." I was disgusted by what she was recommending and took her arm before tossing her to the others as Astrid said.

"Come on Hiccup we could use the dragons to help the village in so many ways."

"My could've helped the village in so many ways but the twins ruined that and besides you lot made it clear you didn't want anything to do with me so just leave me alone."

"Oh come on Hiccup we all need members of our own species like how your dragons need other dragons of their kind."

"I get plenty of human interaction on my adventures and as for needing other people I've been doing just fine on my own without other people like you lot around to beat me down and destroy my confidence."

"We get it Hiccup we were horrible but how are we supposed to make it up to you if you don't let us?"

"Start by leaving me alone and letting me enjoy life without you lot being there to keep pestering me about teaching you when I have better things to do."

"Like what?"

"Oh let's see there's dealing with the Outcasts, planning my next trip to new lands, planning my next dragon training expedition, tending to my crops and animals, studying my dragons. Need I go on?"

"Okay I get it you're busy!" Fishleggs then walked forward.

"Could we at least get access to your islands library since from what Gobber and Stoick said it's huge."

"Fishleggs in order to allow you access to my library that would mean allowing you onto my island and if I did then I would have to let everyone onto my island and then I would never get any peace."

"So that's a no?"

"Exactly now you lot clear out so I can finish preparing the dragons for the show."

I turned around signaling the end of the conversation before I smiled as I heard them leave the cove. Once they were gone there was something Astrid said that bugged me about dragons needing their own species. All my dragons had their own species to go by and I knew the dragons I got from different islands could go back and visit their old homes but Toothless was not so lucky. In all our travels together we have never once found another nightfury and I admit I felt bad for him since when it came to species he had no one. I just hoped one day that I could find more nightfuries one day not only so he can hopefully find himself a mate but also so I could have more nightfuries to train.

Nightfall

I was in my library going over Borks notes my dad gave me as an advanced payment after I showed him and the council in charge of the celebration a preview of the dragon show. I did have a little bit of trouble getting them out of Gobbers hand and hook which was understandable since Bork was his great, great grandfather so I'm guessing he just feels that he's giving up apart of his family's history. I just told him I would bring them back to him anytime he wanted and they would be in a safe place, which is even safer, then the vault. He asked me where this place was and I just told him that I couldn't say incase word about its location got out. I looked down at the notes on the table before turning to Chac and Kisa who were there to keep me company and said.

"This is amazing!" I picked up a small notebook and opened it. "Everything he observed about the dragons is in these notes like their mating rituals, favorite foods, raiding tactics and even some new attack moves for my dragons." I then turned the page and the smile dropped from my face. "There's also few interesting pictures of his neighbors." I shut the book and shuddered. "Can't unseen that!" I dropped the book on the table and saw it open to the back before I noticed the paper stuck to the back had something underneath it. I took what was underneath it out and unfolded them before my eyes widened. "This is all about the nightfuries and none of this is in the book of dragons." I then turned to a page with images of eggs and notes and read. "My study's lead me to conclude that an entire island exists, teaming with mysterious nightfuries. I call this land the isle of night." I put the notes down before turning to Chac and Kisa. "We need to find that island because if we do we'll find Toothless' family." I stood up from the table. "Tomorrow we head to Borks last known residence." I turned to my nightmonkeys. "There might be the a clue to the location of the isle of night." With that in mind I went to bed so I could get an early flight.

Afternoon the next day

Toothless and me wearing my regular flying armor as we were on our way to Borks cave which was said to be cut into the mountains right above Odins shield which was coming into our sights now. I smiled and had Toothless speed up towards the mountains since I wanted to get there as fast as we could to look for clues. When we arrived I caught sight of the cave and had Toothless take us in. When we landed I took out my gronkle iron sword incase of any trouble and walked into the cave with Toothless following me. When we reached the end of the cave I looked around at cave walls but couldn't see a thing so I turned to Toothless and asked.

"Think you can give me some light bud?" He fired a plasma blast into small fire pit lighting up the cave. "Thanks bud." It was then I saw a map on the roof. "What is that?" Realization then hit me. "It's a map to isle of night. We've found it bud." I immediately took out my notebook and drew out everything on the map. Once I was done me and Toothless took off out of the cave. "By this time tomorrow bud! You'll be knee deep in night furies." He just gave a warble as we flew home.

Morning

Toothless and me were on our way to the Isle of Night alone since according to Borks notes a pack of nightfury's weren't too friendly to other species. I just hoped they wouldn't be too hostile to one of their own or to me once I showed them I wasn't a threat to them or their families. As the island came into view I gave Toothless a pat on the head as I said.

"You're finally see you're not alone." He just crooned as we flew over the island. "Trust me bud if this map is right then you'll like what we find here." I chuckled to myself. "You might even find yourself a girlfriend to settle down with." He crooned at this as I rolled my eyes as we landed and I let out my nightfury call before I heard one return to me. "Bork was right bud." He let out his own roar and got one back as I dismounted him. "Go get them bud." He walked over to a cliff and jumped down before looking back up at me. "Don't worry bud I'm right behind you." He then kept walking but as he walked I noticed there were no nightfurys coming. "Toothless come back." As he turned around to begin walking he was caught with a bola. "TOOTHLESS NO!"

I ran towards him before a guy came from behind me and grabbed my arm but I grabbed hold of his arm and twisted it back before elbowing him in the stomach with my other arm and tossing him over the edge. It was then another man came at me from behind but I just turned around and gave him a hard punch in the face knocking him out. I turned back to Toothless who had been roped down but before I could do anything two men caught me by surprise and held me down by both arms. It was then I saw the man in front of me step aside to reveal Alvin approaching me. I then saw some other Outcasts rolling a fake nightfury forward before Alvin said.

"Amazingly realistic wouldn't you say iccup?" I just glared and said.

"Indeed and I would applaud your ingenuity if I wasn't being held down." He chuckled. "Now then if you don't mind me asking? What do you want?"

"I want my own dragon trainer and by the looks of things I got him."

"I'm not training dragons for you Alvin."

"I think you will and once you have I'll use them to destroy Berk." He turned to the men behind me. "Take him!" I was roughly pulled up.

"How did you do this?"

He didn't answer as I was dragged to the ship. When we arrived they tied Toothless down using restraints before Savage kicked me towards him with my hands tied behind my back. When Savage hopped on board he walked aside to reveal Mildew and Fungus. It was at that moment I realized who was the brain behind this whole plan. I glared at him and said.

"I take it you're the one who came up with this whole thing Mildew?" He gave a chuckle before he said.

"You're right and that's why people say you were the brightest boy on Berk but then again you have been trapped by a silly old man and his sheep."

"How could you do this?"

"You did it Hiccup! You believed our Bork notes, you followed the map we drew you, you walked right into our trap. All for the love of a dragon. Maybe next time you'll think twice to where you place your loyalties." An idea for a little payback came to mind.

"Sorry what was that last part?"

"I said maybe next time you'll think twice to where you place your loyalties!"

"I'm sorry what? Do you think you could come a bit closer?" He walked up glaring at me.

"I said maybe-" I cut him off with a knee to the stomach which turned him around which is when I literally kicked his but sending him over the edge of the ship and into the water.

"Maybe next time you'll think twice before making me angry then getting too close." All the outcasts laughed at the sight as I turned to a nearby Outcast. "You have no idea how long I've wanted to do that." He just kept laughing as Alvin walked past laughing and said.

"Very funny Hiccup!" He turned to two nearby Outcasts. "Fish the old man out of the water then raise the sails, we're heading home." He turned to me. "To Outcast Island." As we sailed away I tried summoning my star sword and found I could but sent it back since I didn't want to risk mine or Toothless' lives on the ship and I wanted to get a better understanding at what dragons Alvin has at his disposal.

When we arrived at Outcast Island it was nightfall and Alvin had Toothless taken away from me as I told him it would be all right. They had me wait on the docks as they unloaded the boat and replaced the ropes they used to tie my hands with metal shackles. When they finished unloading the ship they forced me towards a mountain with a metal door on the side. They pushed me through the door where I saw a large tunnel with holes in the walls that were turned into cages by putting in rusty metal cage doors in front of the entrances. Most of these cages held a dragon like the deadly nadder that slammed its head against the bars. I ignored it and kept walking with Alvin and Savage behind me as I asked.

"Where's my dragon Alvin?"

"You'll see him soon enough so don't you worry." I looked back at him.

"You know Alvin I have to admit that luring me and Toothless to that island and building that fake nightfury is pretty smart." He chuckled.

"Pretty smart says the boy in manacles."

"Turning Mildew into an Outcast to use against us." I rolled my eyes. "Come on Alvin that's low even for you!" Savage laughed at this only to get a punch from Alvin, which resulted in him saying.

"Nobody think's your funny boy now keep moving." It was then I heard a roar from the cage beside us. I looked inside and saw two Outcasts dealing with a whispering death that had been tied to the walls to keep it trapped.

"Whispering Death! Nice!" It then burrowed underground before bursting up knocking the guards back before roaring at me as I turned to Alvin. "You do know as long as you have it caged it's going to keep doing that."

Savage then pushed me to the next one that had a Scauldren drinking water from a trough. It looked at me as I said.

"A Scauldren? This is quiet a catch!" The bottom of it's jaw began to inflate and knowing what this meant I took a step to the side as a water blast came my way so it missed me and hit the guard behind me instead. "If I were you I would cut back on it's water so it would stop firing scalding hot water." I then continued walking forward as two guards ran past into a cage which I saw housed a changewing as one guard turned to the other and said.

"It's escaped again!" I looked inside and said.

"It's a changewing and they have the ability to blend into their surroundings." They just looked at me confused. "It hasn't escaped it's just blending into the wall behind you." The changewing then revealed itself and spat its acid at me as I took a step back as the acid hit the bars before I turned to Alvin. "You guys have an impressive variety but you don't have a handle on these dragons." Alvin put a hand on my shoulder.

"That's why you're here." He turned me around and began pushing me. "Welcome to your new job Hiccup."

"And why exactly do you think I would take this job?" He led me to another cage.

"The answer is right in this cage!" I looked inside and saw Toothless restrained and suspended by ropes as I ran up to the bars.

"Hang in there bud I'll get you out of there as soon as I can."

"He's not going anywhere and neither are you." He gestured around him. "You will help me train these dragons!"

"Let me guess I help you or you kill both your dragons and mine."

"Well they wouldn't be any good to me if you don't." He then had Savage take me away.

Savage escorted me away to a different section of their dungeon full of empty cells. When we reached one he asked if he could get me anything like food, a cozy blanket some warm yak milk before he pushed me into the cell as he laughed before I said.

"I wouldn't mind two minutes alone with that old bastard Mildew."

He just walked away laughing after that I waited a few minutes to make sure I was alone since I couldn't risk someone setting off an alarm. It was then Alvin and Savage came back with Mildew complaining about how they had a deal and Alvin telling him how he didn't like it. When they reached the cell across from me Savage looked at me and said.

"I believe you two know each other but don't get too chummy." He pushed Mildew into the cell. "Mildews hours are numbered." He pointed at me. "Much like you and the nightfury." Alvin then took Fungus claiming he was going to be Mildews last meal as Mildew cried while I just rolled my eyes knowing he had it coming so I yelled to him.

"That's what you get for trusting someone whose title ends with Treacherous." He just sobbed.

Ten minutes past before I knew it was safe as Mildew asked me.

"And how are you so calm now? I figured you'd be mad and slamming at the bars in anger."

"Please Mildew I always have a backup plan if things go bad."

"Oh really and what's your plan for getting out of this?" I smiled before summoning my star sword in its hilt form and held it up.

"This is my plan to get out of here."

"And how is that little thing going to get you out?"

"Like this!"

I released the blade before using it to cut through the bars as if they were nothing. As they fell I grabbed them before they could hit the ground and alert the guards. I then walked up to Mildews cell smiling at him before I said.

"I'd skin you alive for betraying Berk and tricking me Mildew but instead I think I'll just leave you here to rot." I turned around to leave before he said.

"Wait! I can help you." I turned to face him.

"And how could you help me exactly?"

"I know my way around this island." I was unsure. "Please Hiccup let me make it up to you." I growled.

"Fine!" I walked up and cut the bars like I did with my cell however before Mildew could step out I grabbed him by the throat and picked him up. "If you make me regret this old man and you are going to wish you stayed in the cell."

I dropped him to the ground before walking away with him behind me. It didn't take us long to get to the exit after a run in with four guards who I took out with a good kick into the wall or a punch to the face. When we reached the outside I turned my sword back to it's hilt form and hooked it to my waist as I looked over the island and saw a large group of wild dragons in a large field. I turned to Mildew and asked.

"Alright Mildew! What's the quickest way to get to Toothless?" He pointed ahead.

"Through that lava field."

"Perfect!" I began to walk forwards before Mildew held his staff in front of me.

"Wait!" He pulled his staff back. "You do realize those are wild dragons down there?"

"That's why it's perfect." We walked down to the edge of the field before I turned back to Mildew. "Wait here while I see how hostile these dragons are to an unarmed man."

"Just hurry up!" He shook a bit and looked around. "I don't feel comfortable around all these dragons."

"Man up you old geezer!"

I then made my way through the dragons without looking at them or showing in any way I was a threat to any of them. I admit I was a bit nervous about walking through so many hostile dragons but then I remembered all the dangers I've gone through in my life. Compared to facing the red death or a hydra this walk through the wild dragons was a walk through a peaceful meadow full of flowers and butterflies. As I walked past multiple dragons glared at me and let out the occasional puff of smoke but other than that they didn't do anything so I just kept walking. It wasn't until I reached the end of the field that I ran into trouble in the form of an orange and pale green nadder cutting me off. It glared at me but I stayed calm before I slowly walked around him and said.

"Easy there big guy I'm not going to hurt you." I gently patted his leg. "That's it fella." After that I walked to the front and held my hand out before turning away and soon enough I felt his snout against my hand before I turned back to him and smiled. "Alright pal I need your help to get a crazy old man and my dragon." He just squawked and kneeled down so I could get on him.

After that we flew to pick up Mildew and after threatening to shove his staff so far up his backside that I would be able to use him as a scarecrow he got on. When we took off however he grabbed onto my waist for dear life even though there was plenty of dragon to hold onto. I had the dragon fly us into a cavern that leads to the dragon cages, which is where they had Toothless. We flew past the cages before we came to the cage where they kept Toothless only to find it empty. I looked at the cage as Mildew told me that the Outcasts must have moved him. It was at that moment that the cages holding the scauldren and changewing opened up. I then heard Alvin say.

"Let's see what you can do with some real wild dragons Hiccup." I looked up and saw him standing on an edge before he pulled a lever opening up the whispering deaths cage. I kept my eyes on the dragons as I said.

"Mildew if you want to live to see tomorrow then do exactly as I say."

We both hopped on the nadder before Alvins dragons tried to take a chomp at us but the nadder jumped back as they came at us. It was then the whispering death dived into the ground meaning we could be in trouble, which Mildew failed to realize as he said.

"Well at least that ones gone."

"No he's not Mildew." I looked at the ground. "Changewings blend into their surroundings, Scauldrens shoot scalding hot water and Whispering deaths like that one hunt from underground." I then had the nadder begin running from the rising ground. As we ran the changewing and scauldren ran on either side of us. I realized we could use this to our advantage so I had the nadder stop and just when the whispering death was going to attack from under us I had him take flight as the scauldren and changewing pounced at us. As they pounced the whispering death came out and with us flying up the scauldren and changewing flew into the whispering death leaving them a tangled mess. While they tried to untangle themselves we flew out of the cavern we used to get in. When we landed on some rocks Mildew let out a sigh of relief before he said.

"You know your dragons, I'll give you that."

I just gave him a nod before hopping off the nadder and letting out my nightfury call. I waited a few seconds before I heard a roar in reply and rushed to hop on the nadder so we could follow the sound of the roar. It didn't take us long to find Toothless who was quick to push me down and nuzzle me in affection as I told him that I missed him to. I rubbed his head and checked the tail for any damage so we could get off the island before telling Mildew he'd have to fly on his own to which he was hesitant but gave in when I told him he could just stay here. He shivered at the thought but before I could mount Toothless I heard Alvin say.

"Hey you weren't planning to leave before we finished our business were you." I looked up at a cliff and saw Alvin looking down at us with an Outcast axe. "Just what I'd expect from Stoicks little runt." The second he called me runt my blood boiled as I mounted Toothless to go at him. "Do it boy! I'm right here." As we got closer he swung his axe down. "NOW!"

It was then three Outcasts I didn't see on the lower cliffs threw bolas at us restraining Toothless and tying me down to him. We went tumbling down to the ground and rolled around before we stopped rolling with Toothless on his belly and me tied to his back. When we stopped however eleven Outcasts came charging at us with their weapons raised. I smiled before reaching for my star sword and releasing the blade before I cut through the ropes as if they were nothing. When we were freed Toothless jumped to the side sending a plasma blast towards five charging Outcasts send three of them back before turning around blasting back three more Outcasts leaving only five Outcasts left who were getting pretty close only for three on one side to be stopped by a blast from the nadder I trained earlier as Mildew screamed in fear. I turned to face the two remaining Outcasts who had made way for Alvin. I gave Toothless a pat on the head and said.

"I'll take care of these ones bud."

I then dismounted him and made began to walk towards them with my star sword in hand and foldup shield on my arm. The one Outcast holding a bludgeon charged at me with his weapon raised before he brought it down on me. I just held up my sword and as his bludgeon came down on it the head was sliced in two. He looked at his bludgeon for a moment before looking at me as my fist came at his face. He went down easily as the other Outcast wielding a hatchet charged at me but when he swung his axe I ducked and swept my legs underneath him sending him tumbling over the edge of the cliff. This left Alvin and me alone as he chuckled and said.

"Not bad Hiccup." I pointed my sword at him.

"Let's see if you fight as well as you betray."

He just smiled and charged at me with his axe raised and ready to be brought down on me. I ducked out of the way of his strike before he took another swing at me but I ducked and slid under him through his legs. He stumbled a bit before turning around giving me the perfect opportunity to punch him right below the belt. As expected he dropped his axe and grabbed the area I punched as he fell to his knees in pain. He looked at me with a glare as he said in a strained voice.

"That was a dirty move Hiccup." I just smiled down at him.

"Remember this pain the next time you decide to call me a runt." I picked up his axe and held it in front of his face. "A little souvenir of our time together." He just glared. "Oh and one more thing." I gave him a hard punch to the face as I heard a sickening crunching sound as he went down.

When I saw he was out cold I went back to Toothless before I mounted him and we took off to meet up with Mildew and the nadder who were firing both a magnesium blast and spines at any approaching Outcasts. When we met up with them we took off to head home. Unfortunately a large group of Outcasts were running up the valley towards us and as we took a sharp turn Mildew fell back onto the nadders tail and was dangling from the edge of it. I looked back at him as he let go and fell into some trees slowing his fall only to be captured by some Outcasts. I got ready to go back for him but he yelled out.

"GO HICCUP! YOU HAVE TO LEAVE ME!" Before I could protest some Outcasts fired arrows at us, which we barely dodged as, I yelled back.

"I'LL BE BACK FOR YOU MILDEW!" We then took off back to the island with a new nadder.

One hour later

To say I was angry would be the biggest understatement in the history of every civilization ever created. Once I got back I ran to my golden falcons to see what the Outcasts were doing to Mildew only to discover that his 'capture' was all part of their plan. He was never going to be killed and Alvin never betrayed him. It was all part of their plan to get my dragon training knowledge but fortunately I didn't show Mildew how to train dragons. I did however show him what the dragons Alvin had in his dungeons could do and I knew that they would find a way to use it against Berk. For now though I needed to inform my dad about what's happened and about Mildews betrayal.

Two hours later

I was now leading my dragons in a formation in a show for the village as all the villagers cheered us on. My mind however was focused on what happened when my dad and Gobber found out about the betrayal. I would say my dad was angry but I don't think that would be the right word for it since I had never seen his face so red or heard him curse so much in my life. He said we'd get the old man back for what he's done and he would pay for what he's done. I just asked for five minutes alone with the old man so I could repay him for raising my hopes of finding other nightfuries. For now though I have a show to put on and a war to fight.

AN: Hey all I hope you enjoyed the chapter and for those of you who are curious as to why I didn't write Dagur visiting it's because the only reason things were interesting in that episode is because of Barf and Belch running a mock so without them and Hiccup moving the dragons to the far side it would have been boring. As for those asking about the Thawfest games they will come in later when Dagur has been dealt with but if you wish for it to be the next chapter let me know in either a review or PM. Also please keep in mind some episodes will be mentioned but skipped. Until next time keep your reviews kind and I hope to hear from you all later.
