Part 3 "The world in flames."

Shinji knew from the morning that this was going to be great day for a wedding . The sun was high up in the sky, temperature wasn't as hot as it was before and the ocean was cristal clear.

For the wedding he had chose a place at the beach, the same one from which he and Asuka came. This was a symbolism to the fact that this beach was the end of an old relationship and the rebuilt of a new one. Asuka had also agreed on this.

Everyone had gathered here friends, family members, even his own father decided to came with his wife? Even Asuka's mother Kyoko was here.

"How.."

"What's wrong partner ?" Asked Kensuke who stood with Toji wearing fancy dresses.

"Oh, nothing it's just..."

"Oh, here comes the bride."

Shinji looked at Asuka who was wearing a red wedding dress instead of the usual white . She was escorted by her father and kept her face hidden from the public view.

Shinji couldn't take enough of looking Asuka dress for hours, it was that majestic. So majestic in fact that he didn't payed to much of attention to the liquid that was dripping in flour.

When Asuka finally got to stage Shinji unravel her hidden face only to reveal a melting face that was slowly losing parts of it such as skin and nerves, leaving only in the end an empty skull.

Shinji was terrified at that scene and fall backwards but the priest of the ceremony gave him a hand.

" Are you alright my child?" Said the priest.

Shinji didn't answer as he was processing what was happening. When he finally got up he saw the priest one more time and he is eyes widened when he see that the priest was none other than Tarbis himself.

"You..." Said Shinji but the priest ignored his comment as he wasn't there at all.

"Are we ready to start?" Asked the priest and everyone expect Shinji nodded without a word.

"Alright, we all gather here.."

As the priest said his usual words Shinji took a greater look at audience and saw that many of them started to melting away into LCL. No one was reacting to this, instead they all had their eyes focused on the wedding and nothing else. It was like they didn't care and embrace a sweet death .The floor started to get covered up in LCL and still nobody react .

"Shinji Ikary are you talking Asuka Soryu Langley as your rightful bride in life and death?"

Shinji didn't say a word because he was looking at the horizon and saw the black moon covering the sun, creating an eclipse. He saw a million souls get sucked into it. Then, a great rambling could be heard over the close mountains as one of them exposed in to pieces. Shinji was left speechless.

Shinji realized that he to was melting into LCL and pieces from explosion was coming towards them.

It was to late for anything and anyone

"What's wrong Shinji?" Asked Asuka in the decrepit state that her head was.

Shinji looked at her and simply said :

"I love you." As he hugged her one last time and everyone including him and her melted into LCL and the remains become ashes in the wind.

As the whole world was cracking in half a giant white skeleton emerged from the ground. He had great white wings and holding a great spear in his hand.

But from the north an also giant knight appear. The knight was like the exact opposite of the skeleton. Instead of being white and pure he was dark and wretchful. Instead of great wings he had broken remains of its glory wings. He had two heads instead of one, four arms instead of two and was carrying a giant burning sword in his upper arms and a similar spear on the other pair of arms.

When the two titans saw each other they both charge up to eachother without a second thought or hesitation and as their weapons clash in each other an enormous destruction was unleashed to the remains of the earth, destroying completely and the rest of the solar system as well. Leaving nothing more than ashes behind.

Shinji woke up from his come sweating all over his body.

"This was scary dream." Shinji thought but it was a dream that didn't give him peace for next months.

A/N: So, do like this chapter? It was a great inspiration from the beginning of "Mission impossible : fall." but instead of nuclear weapons we have giant kaiju fighting each other at the end of the world. Also this chapter canonically after the middle of the next chapter so this what Shinji saw while he was at the come from the last chapter.
