February 16th, 2003

It was just another day in the Loud residence. Lori- age 8 was playing on her computer, Leni- age 7, was playing with her dolls, Luna- age 6 was playing the piano with her dad, Luan- age 5, was watching Powerpuff girls in the living room and Lynn- age 4 was sitting on the stairs, watching it all. She watched as her sisters all had something. Something that made them, them. She had nothing though. She would play with dolls sometimes but could never keep much interest. She tried to get into computer gaming like Lori, but she could never understand it. Tv was okay, but she didn't have a favorite show or anything, so it was just whatever was on. Even Lincoln who was only 3 had something! He already showed interest in superhero's and loved them with a passion. Although she was only 4, Lynn wanted to be like her big sisters (and brother) and find something that she would be good at. But what?

At school the next day, Lynn colored her giraffe quietly in class when Jordan P came and throw all her crayons on the floor.

"Oops! Sorry tiny!" He mocked as he laughed. Everyone called her tiny since she was so small, and it bothered her to the depths of her smallest bone. A similar incident happened in recess when a group of boys playing ball trampled her over. Again, they mocked her and called her tiny. She hated the teasing and told her teacher, but that didn't help, because the teacher just made her sit with her as to keep her away from the mean kids.

One day, Lynn was playing in the park that mom and dad had brought them all to when she saw a group of older girls playing with a ball in a way that she had never seen before. They kicked it across the grass, kicking it to one another, and tried to get it in the big net. They sure did look tough doing it. Maybe if she could play with them, she would look tough too and not so tiny. She timidly walked up to them but stayed away at a safe distance.

"Excuse me!" She called out in her little voice. One of them heard and stopped in her tracks, causing the other ones to stop too. "What are you guys playing?" She asked. They started to walk closer to her.

"Uh… Soccer," one answered, looking around at her friends confused.

"How do you play?!" She asked enthusiastically.

"You have two teams and you have to try to get the ball in the other teams net to win."

"Can you show me how?" She asked. The high school girls thought she was too cute asking and couldn't help but to do as she asked.

"Can you show me how?" She asked. The high school girls thought she was too cute asking and couldn't help but to do as she asked. They carefully showed her how to play as she watched with such wonder. They even invited her to the field to play with them. She got the hang of it pretty quickly and when she kicked her first goal, the girls cheered for her. She loved the praise and wanted to keep playing, but at last, her parents said that it was time to go. The girls said that they practiced there every afternoon on the weekdays and on some Saturdays and that Lynn was allowed to come play with them anytime. She begged her dad almost every day to go to the park to play with them, and he would always take her due to her excitement. He's never seen her so happy about something.

As time passed by, Lynn became really good at soccer, so her new friends started to introduce her to other sports, like basketball and hockey. It was clear that she was a fast learner when it came to sports.

One day, while Lynn and her class were dismissed for recess, she saw a group of boys playing soccer. This was her chance to prove that she wasn't this tiny little girl.

"Hey, can I play?" She asked the boys, walking up to them. They were second graders— big kids. They sure were intimidating, but if she could play with them, she would look tough.

"You?! You're tiny! Can you even run with those little legs?!" They mocked as they pointed and laughed. At this point, the whole playground stopped what they were doing to stop and laugh at her. She had to stay strong though.

"You might be surprised." She calmly answered.

"Alright. Fine. Just so we can see you fall and cry, little baby!" They mocked. She told herself not to cry. She had to prove that she could have done this. They put her on a team and started the game. She stole the ball from the opposing team and ran to the goal as fast as she could. Some of them tried to take the ball from her but they couldn't keep up. She tripped people, avoided a steal and eventually, made it to the goal.

"GOALLL!" She shouted as she jumped up and down with her arms raised. Everyone looked in shock.

"Woah… who… who taught you how to play?!" The boys asked in amazement.

"I… some friends!" She answered with a prideful smile. She then looked around and said in an even louder and with a high head "High Schoolers!" They all gasped and awed at her. From that day on, she was known as the cool girl who played sports like a big kid. They always asked her to play and would fight about who's team she would be on. Now she felt like she had to keep going. She had to stay the best. She couldn't ever be called tiny again. Maybe… maybe she found her thing that made her special.

The year was 2008 and Lynn was punching a punching bag at her friend's house. She was put on a soccer, hockey, and wrestling team by her parents as she got older. She explained to them that she needed to get better. She had to stay the best. They tried telling her that so long as she was having fun, she didn't need to be the best, but her stubbornness got the best of her and she didn't listen. Her high school friends were no longer in high school and all went off to college, so she had to say goodbye to them, but her teammates proved to be the best of friends to her. She continued to gain muscle, endurance, and skill as the years passed. In school, no one made fun of her. They knew better. She was known for her temper and no one wanted to get her mad.

2009 came around and Lynn was 11 years old. She had always played sports that made her look tough, but now, she was in 6th grade and her friends were begging her to join the cheerleading team with them. She saw how cheerleaders were thrown in the air and how they tumbled, and, in all reality, it looked really cool, but it would make her look weak. Cheerleading was a girly sport. She would be called tiny again.

"Please! It'll be fun! I heard it's actually really hard! You'll like it!" One of them told her.

"I can't. That's a weak sport." She would answer. They kept on begging though. To shut them up, she decided to at least go to tryouts. Once they were signed up, they were given a DVD with a video of the small routine they had to do at tryouts. Lynn worked on the small routine all she could. She gave 110% in everything and this was no exception.

When the tryouts came up, she tried her best to hide and not allow anyone to see her. Imagine being caught trying out to be a cheerleader?! She would die of shame. She was just doing this for her friends, though on the inside, she somewhat hoped that she made the team, but in a way, she hoped she didn't. If she made the team, it would mean all her hard work paid off, but if she didn't, she wouldn't have to be part of such a weak sport.

After they called her name, she removed the hood that she wore upon her head and did the routine flawlessly. It left the judges amazed.

When the new team was announced, Lynn Loud was one of the first names stated. She felt pride, but she also felt embarrassed. She made the team. A cheerleading team. She would be a cheerleader. Blek. Just the sound of it made her cringe. She did tryout though and did make the team, so she had a responsibility to be in the team.

Everything was going fine with practice and all, but once the first game came, she panicked. It was a boys' basketball game. She had many "friends" on that team. They would see her. She nearly stayed home, but her mother forced her to go.

"If it's something you signed up to do, you need to stay true to your word! Why do you care so much about being seen as tough? If you like cheerleading, don't be ashamed of it!"

"Ugh! You don't get it, mom! I tried out because my friends wanted me to. If I don't look tough, they'll never respect me again!" She argued, crossing her arms. Rita sighed knowing she wasn't going to get far with this, but still intended on taking her regardless.

At the game, Lynn looked at herself in the bathroom mirror. Her makeup has been done by a makeup artist, her hair was slickly pulled into a ponytail and she wore the blue and gold cheer uniform— topped off with a huge bow. She knew they would mock her.

"Lynn! Let's go!" Her friend yelled out to her from the bathroom door.

"Uh… yeah! Coming!" She yelled back. She took in a deep breath and put on her "game face" then walked out.

"Hey pom Pom! Didn't know you liked hanging out with the nail painting, dress-wearing girly girls!" Sean, a boy from the basketball team called out to her from the hallway the following day at school. "I thought you were one of us. We don't hang out with girly girls!"

"I am not a girly girl!" She responded in annoyance. They just laughed.

"Sure. Whatever you say tiny." They mocked. This is what got her. Out of rage, she launched towards them and managed to twist Jackson Rodgers' — the team captain who was the main one jeering— arm. He screamed in pain and the others tried to pull her off, but this only made her go after them. Between hair pulling, biting, twisting, and punching, Lynn was able to beat up the 7th graders with nothing more than a scratch mark in her arm. It wasn't until the principal— Mr. Hugeos— pulled her away that she stopped.

Even After a small lecture at home by her parents, Lynn still felt pride. She— a 6th-grade girl, beat up four 7th grade boys. She soon quit cheer though not to risk being called tiny again though. That word really made her blood boil.

By freshman year, Lynn was in almost every team to play on possible. Even the all-boys teams. Every coach had heard wonders of her and fought to have her on their team. She had no problem saying yes to all of them though. Her days were jam-packed. If it wasn't soccer practice, it was T-ball and if not that, Basketball, and if not that, swimming. She was known as the toughest, most athletically talented person in the school. She loved the attention and she loved looking tough. She often wondered what her life would look like if she was still doing cheer though. All she knows though is if she maintains busy with as many sports as possible, she'll look tough and if she looks tough, no one will mock her.

A/N: Hey, so yeah, this chapter is basically to give some depth to Lynn and if it wasn't clear enough, she decided to join sports because it makes her look strong and untouchable. She doesn't know if she actually truly enjoys or still likes sports like she did when she was little kid, but she doesn't want to give it up, so that way, she doesn't look weak. That's why she was able to give it up so easily when she first got pregnant. Yeah, she would no longer look as tough, but since she has had years of building her reputation, it wouldn't affect her too badly. Priority came first and it made her decision easy when quitting all her teams.
