I hugged Lincoln tightly. He is my rock and I love him so much. Words can't even begin to describe how I feel for him. We kissed softly on the couch since no one was around. The T.V. that played in the background softly and gently lit up the dark living room in the darkness of the night, soon went unheard as our minds were only on each other. I felt bad that I couldn't give him what he wanted at the moment, but luckily, he understood that I honestly felt so uncomfortable in my own body to even think about something like that. Our make-out session was cut short by the sound of creaking from upstairs. Someone was up and about. We both groaned annoyed and separated from one another.

"Hey guys, I'm heading to bed. Don't stay up too late." Mom spoke as she walked down the stairs ever so slowly. We watched her as she took each step down. One step. Then the other. And another. She sure was good at taking her goddam time. When she was finally down, she shuffled her way to her bedroom. "Wow, those stairs sure are getting harder with each day that passes, eh kids? Haha… maybe I shouldn't work as much as I do, it's really wearing me out… anywho… goodnight kids." She spoke.

"Night mom," Lincoln said to her.

"Night!" I called out. Once she was in her room again with the door shut, I quickly scooched over closer to Lincoln and went for his lips again.

Its currently 10:32 a.m., January 21st, 2015, the following day. I was sitting at our small kitchen table talking to Luna. It was a Wednesday, so everyone was at work or school. All except Luna and I. Luna stayed home from school today claiming 'she was not feeling well' just because she wanted to stay home today, which honestly, who could blame her?! We've all done it. Me, I already started my virtual schooling, but I normally didn't start until later at night.

"Hey, do you wanna go on a walk or something?" I asked her.

"Okay… what's up? You NEVER want to leave the house anymore, never mind walk!"

"I don't know… today I just feel very energized!"

"Alright then… although it's cold…." She groaned.

"Oh come on! A little cold won't kill ya!" I pursued.

"Ugh, fine… but just know that when we come back, we are driving to McDonald's to get some food!"

"Oh my God, yes please!" I encouraged, bouncing up and going upstairs to get dressed for the day. Luna did the same.

It was a cloudy day today, but I didn't mind. It may have been in the 20's, temperature-wise, but since I was well bundled, I didn't mind too much. Luna seemed to though.

"Okay dude, we've been out for AT LEAST 20 minutes! Can we go home now?! I swear my face is gonna freeze off!" she grumbled. This just made me laugh.

"Alright, alright. Fine. Let's turn around."

"Oh, thank God!"

Back at home, Luna ran quickly upstairs to grab her wallet then came back down.

"Okay, I'll call an uber. There is no way I'm walking to the bus station in this weather!" She said as she opened the app on her phone. I stopped her though, covering her phone with my hand.

"You know what, no. I'll call a friend to give us a ride! He won't mind, trust me…" I told her, getting my phone out now.

"Okay, but isn't any friend of yours in school right now?"

"Shoot…. You're right… ah, oh well, he won't mind skipping, trust me, I am saving his life!" I continued. I go to my contacts and tap on the name, placing the phone to my ear. It rang for a few before he answered.

"Lynn, I'm in English right now, this better be good!" David hush yelled.

"David! My brother! My brother from another mother! Oh, how I miss you so much! You've always been good to me and—" I started by sweetening him up before getting cut off.

"Oh God… what do you want?" He sarcastically said in fake annoyance.

"Well since you asked, can you give me and my sister a ride somewhere?!" I asked.

"… Is this something serious?" He questioned after taking some time of silence to think about it.

"Yes."

"*sigh* okay, am I meeting you at your house?" He exasperated.

"OOHH! David! I knew I could count on you! And yes, at my house." I excitedly answered.

"Alright, I'll be there in a few minutes…"

"Oh! And bring Lincoln!" I added.

"Now I gotta go find him too? You really are pushing it, Lynn." He again teased.

"I'll text him to meet you at the front of the school, don't worry about it." I brushed off.

"Alright. See you soon. Bye."

"Bye! Love ya!" I happily exclaimed.

"Mmmhmm, I know you do." He answered, then hung up.

"Done, got us a ride! And now, another person to be home with!"

"This David guy better be cool or I swear, I won't stay home alone with you again!" Luna exaggerated.

"Please, since when do I hang with uncool people?!"

David soon honked from outside and Luna and I knew that to be our cue to leave. Once we got outside and into the car, we saw David and Lincoln in the front seats, with Jen in the back.

"Jen?! What are you doing here?!" I shockingly asked.

"I saw the rat leaving and asked him to take me with him. I couldn't bare Mr. Levi's lecture!" She groaned in agony. I laughed at this. Because I couldn't kiss him now, I brushed my hand over Lincolns shoulder as I entered the car and he caught my hand from a brief second.

"David, You big ol' softy!" I cooed.

"Please, Me? Never!" He sarcastically remarked.

"David, You remember my sister, Luna. From Lunch?"

"Oh yeah! I remember you! Hey, nice to see you again!" Luna told him.

"Nice seeing you too!"

"And Jen, this is my older sister, Luna."

"Hey!" Jen called out.

"Hey," Luna answered.

"Alright, what fast food emergency is this?" David asked once Luna shut the door behind her and we were situated in the back seat.

"Wow… do you know me that well?"

"Unfortunately, yes…" He answered, making us all laugh.

"McDonald's my good man! But not the one on Fern Blossom, the food there always sucks!"

"Duh! Of course not the Fern Blossom one!" He remarked.

Once at the thru, David took all of our order's for us after we told him what we wanted earlier.

"What can I get you?" The woman asked through the microphone.

"Hi, I'll get 3 large fries, 2 Big Macs, a 20-piece nuggets, 2 McChicken's, 3 quarter pounder's with cheese and 1 double cheeseburger."

"…. That'll be $34.29 at the next window."

"Thank you." He called out as he pulled forward. I know what you're thinking. 'Damn, that's a lot of food!' But honestly, not really. The nuggets were for Jen, 1 Big mac and the double cheeseburger was for David, 1 Big mac and 1 quarter pounder was for Lincoln, 1 Quarter pounder and 1 McChicken was for me, and the other McChicken and quarter pounder was for Luna. The fries would be shared among all of us. We were planning on eating at my house since no was there anyways.

Once we got our food, Lincoln held the bag as David drove back to my house. Once there, we all piled in and sat in the living room, eating our food. It was definitely a fun moment, where we just joked around and laughed and talked. I'm so glad I have these people in my life!

After eating, we put a movie on to watch and laughed at the funny scenes together. After that, we just kept finding things to do. Listen to music, watch T.V., bake some cookies, dance, sing, you name it! At 3 o'clock, Lori came home with Lily, Lisa, Lola, and Lana. Great. There went my happy moment with friends. Once we saw her enter, all went quiet. Upon seeing everyone in the living room Lori asked, "Luna, why are all these people here? Are we a party house now?!" In her usual bitchy manner.

"We were just having some fun, Lori. No need to get so worked up!"

"Well sorry, but you guys have to leave! I'm in charge and I say no one, who doesn't live here can stay!"

"Come on Lori, it just two friends! They aren't causing any damage!" Lincoln chimed in.

"Keep talking to me and the select few that live here will also be kicked out!" She hissed, eyeing both Lincoln and I. This made me mad. Without thinking, I tried to get up to go after her for talking to him that way, but Luna held me down.

"It's fine, we can go. Thanks for having us over guys, it was fun!" David spoke up. Jen stood up with him and agreed.

"Yeah, thanks for a great time! I'll see you later, K?" she added.

"Yeah, I'll walk you guys out," I said, getting up with them. Soon, Luna and Lincoln did the same. Lori just rolled her eyes and stomped upstairs. Once outside, I apologized to them.

"Sorry about her. She's just a bitch because she hates everyone and everyone hates her. Especially me, so that's why she's making you guys leave."

"She seems rather… difficult to deal with. And was it just me or did it look like you were this close to fighting her?!" Jen asked.

"No, she probably was. Lynn and Lori hate each other's guts and have fought on multiple occasions." Luna sighed.

"Well you can tell us about it later, I gotta go anyways, my mom's calling." David groaned. We said our final goodbyes and then, they left. Back in the house, Lincoln, Luna, and I cleaned up whatever mess we made, then went to our rooms. Well, Me in Lincoln's room, but that was practically my room by now.

"So do you wanna help me move Lacy's things into my room? I've been needing to do it and now just seems like a good time."

"Sure! What needs to go there? The crib right?"

"Yeah."

"I'll get that for you. Still bummed out that you guys will be a whole room away from me…" He sadly noted.

"Don't worry about it, we'll find a way to make it work. We always do."

After the crib was set up in the room and her clothes were folded and put in my drawers, I double-checked my hospital bag to make sure I had everything.

"Toothbrush?" Lincoln read off of a list.

"Check!"

"Extra clothes?"

"Check"

"Deodorant, lotion?"

"Check, check!"

"Nursing pads—Lynn why are we going through this again? We already did this when we packed it a few weeks ago!" Lincoln complained to me.

"I just want to make sure I'm prepared! I hope you have your things! Mom and dad may not know you're her dad, but there is no way in HELL you're leaving my side! I'll just say… we are really close and I want your support! That's not too far from the truth."

"Aw! Babe, I mean that much to you?!"

"Oh shut up you big dork!" I coo as I inch closer to him to kiss him. While we are kissing, I separate from him in pain.

"Ow… okay, thanks, Lacy…. Contraction…" I mumble as I move away from Lincoln and try to walk around the room. "Huh… funny… normally when I walk, they go away… this one seems to be stubborn… oh well, I'm sure its nothing" I brush off, but in the very back of my mind, I was starting to slightly panic.

Lincoln and I walked downstairs and we saw mom trudging into the house.

"Oh! Kids! Perfect that I caught you here! Can you please help me with the groceries in the car?" she asked us.

"You brought groceries?!" We asked in shock. This was one of the things that she normally didn't do anymore. Lori normally handled it.

"Yeah… I took some time off to give my body a break and figured, hey, we need more food, so stopped by the store." We nodded and went to the car. It wasn't a lot, as expected, but we still helped anyway. As the day progressed, I kept getting these weird contractions. It was 6 pm when I started my school work on the kitchen table, but I could have barely kept my focus. These contractions were getting stronger every time. I knew what these meant, and I was scared as could be. I looked at the clock on my laptop as I got one of them. 6:11 P.M. and then, I timed how long they lasted to make sure I wasn't acting paranoid. 64 seconds, then it stopped. I awaited the next one to see at what time it would come and for how long. If it followed the pattern, this was it, but if not, I was safe for a few more days. The next one came at 6:27 P.M. That is 16 minutes away and it lasted 60 seconds. Oh no…

I closed my eyes and rubbed my hands against my face. I am in labor.
