Lincoln

Its currently 6:28 a.m., January 23rd,2015. Lacy has been in this world now for about an hour, being born at 5:32 A.M. and I already care about her more than anything in this life. I sat on a chair in the room, just holding her in my arms as Lynn tried to rest. She was just so…tiny. she had opened her eyes a few times while I was holding her, revealing them to be a grey color. She had some hair that covered the top of her soft little head that was a light shade of brown, almost blonde. She wore a hat and a blanket that was securely wrapped around her. Right now, she was sleeping, ever so delicately. It's crazy to think that this little thing was what I was feeling from Lynn's stomach! Luna, Luan, and Mom were also in the room with me, but now, it was my turn to hold her. They had their chance, so they said nothing of it. Dad was on the way to the hospital now with everyone else, so for now, I was just trying to absorb this moment to its fullest, because, to me, the only thing in this room was Lacy and I. As I think of the fact that I can never tell anyone in my family that she is my daughter my heart breaks, since she'll always be known as 'Lynn's daughter.' That's . Right now, to them, I was just Lynn's brother and Lacy's Uncle... Oh God, that sounds bad…

When dad arrives with everyone else, I'm a bit shocked to see Leni. I mean, yeah, I know I called her, and she said that she'd be coming, but to be quite honest, I had no idea she was serious. How did she even afford it? On top of that, doesn't she have classes or something? To keep a bacteria-free environment, only 6 people were allowed in the room at a time, so Luna and Luan left, and dad, Leni, Lucy, Lola, and Lana came in. Mom had also left to watch Lisa and Lily, again, even though Lori was fully capable. Speaking of which, I have no idea how dad convinced her to come. I know she doesn't want to be here, so why is she? Once inside, Lynn woke up due to the commotion. She smiled upon seeing Leni.

"You made it," She softly spoke, extending her arms for a hug. I was still holding Lacy, watching as everyone greeted Lynn. Well, until dad pretty much snatched her out of my hands.

"Why, isn't she precious! Yes, you are!" He spoke. I felt my blood slightly boil for 3 reasons. One; he grabbed her from my arms without asking me to give her to him. Two; he was talking to her as if she were a dog! And three; he referred to her as 'Macy' twice now, me having to correct him each time. I sat on a seat with my arms crossed, observing very carefully as they each took turns holding her. When it came to Lana, I practically felt myself leap up, subconsciously as to correct her on the correct format to hold her.

"Okay make sure you hold her head up—NOT too high… okay now make sure your arms are tightly securing her body, but don't squeeze her!"

"Come on bud! She's a girl! This stuff comes naturally to her! Not so much to us men! Ha! Relax son, if anything, Lana probably knows how to hold her better than you!" He laughed off. At once, I felt my fist clench and my teeth grind.

"Yeah. Whatever you say. Dad." I growled.

Yeah, my sexist dad needs to learn his place. I'm her dad, I know what's best for her. NOT him, trusting a 9-year-old to know how to hold a newborn baby simply because she is a girl. But of course, I can't tell him that, because to him, I'm his son. Not her dad.

After a bit of being in the room, they decided that it was time they left to allow our other siblings to come see Lacy. Dad stayed in the room as mom, Lily, Lisa, and…. Oh God… Lori came in. Her eyebrows drew down in anger and her arms crossed over her chest. She had dark circles under her eyes, giving me the indication that she was angry to have to wake up so early to come here. She doesn't even like us, nor support any of this, so you can tell she was definitely forced to come by one of our parents. As soon as she entered, she and Lynn locked eyes, not looking away for some time.

"Out," Lynn spoke.

"Lynn!" Mom scolded.

"Nope. Get out. Not you. Literally ANYONE but you." She said sternly, ignoring our mother.

"Please, it's not like I WANT to be here anyway." She contradicted.

"No! You girls are not doing this! Not now, not here! Now you two are gonna get along and that's that! No excuses!" mom harshly spoke. From there on, they were silent. Mom helped Lisa and Lily carry Lacy for no more than a minute before she took her back—thank god for that. At least she understood that they were young and didn't know how to hold a baby and though they are my own sisters, can't be trusted. Especially with such a fragile thing like my newborn.

"Lori, honey? Would you like to hold her?" Our mother asked. Oh, hell no! There was no way in HELL Lori would even WANT to hold her, never mind the fact that Lynn would not let her. As I looked back at her, Lynn's eyes held anger and worry in them. To our surprise, Lori smiled sweetly and innocently tilted her head.

"Of course!" She enthusiastically bubbled. She was acting too happy. That's when I knew that I better keep a closer eye on her.

"Well, I'm gonna give her to you while me and your father step out for two seconds. We have to handle something with the doctor. You can handle it, right?" Our mother asked.

"Not a problem! I've helped with all of my siblings since I was young! This is second nature to me mom! Don't you worry about us! You guys go and do your thing and I'll stay here with my dear SISTER and BROTHER," She emphasized, still in her too sweet manner. Mom just smiled and looked back at Lynn before leaving the room and closing the door behind her. As Lori held her, the room was silent. She just looked down at her and rocked her ever so slightly. "Oh… You know you two should be locked up for the rest of your lives for this abomination, right?" She spoke, still looking at our daughter and fake smiling. "And meanwhile," She continued, finally looking back up at us and wiping her smile off her face, showing her true bitterness. "This… this MONSTER," she breathed in anger. "This monster should be put to the death penalty before it has the chance to ruin our society, isn't that right?" She spoke, looking at the baby in her arms, smiling and speaking in a sickeningly sweet manner, cooing at her in mockery. At once, I snatched Lacy from her and kicked her just enough to make her lose her balance, it being the only thing I could do, being at such an angle and trying to protect Lacy. She started crying at once as if she knew the terrible thing Lori had just said as I brought her to her mother, whose eyes were filled with pure rage. She tried to rock her to soothe her, still eyeing Lori, her slowly getting up from the floor.

"Get. Out." Lynn breathed.

"Excuse me?!"

"GET OUT!" She yelled, pointing to the door.

"No! I won't get out! Didn't you hear our moth—"

"GET THE FUCK OUT OF HERE LORI AND IF WE SEE YOU ANYWHERE NEAR US OR LACY AGAIN, I SWEAR YOU WON'T LIVE TO SEE THE LIGHT OF DAY! YOU'VE GONE TOO FAR THIS TIME YOU… YOU—" I started to scream.

"YOU BITCH!" Lynn continued. She just laughed evilly.

"You think I'm scared of you two? The children, incestuous breeders of this city? You know what? Fine. Don't worry about it. I won't get close or ever near you two and your stupid baby, but just know, we are no longer siblings. And never will be ever again. We are strangers, got that?" she growled.

"No, You're the one who needs to get that! We've been over! But I'm telling you Lori Loud, if you as much as LOOK at her, you are a dead man." Lynn huffed. Lori just sarcastically smiled, turned, and started walking towards the door.

"Wow, I'm so intimidated that you used my full name." And then, she was gone.

Lynn

The door slammed behind her as she left. Once she did, all of my anger had somehow turned into pain and I burst into tears, covering my mouth with my free hand, trying to silence my shriek of agony. Lincoln, of course, came to my side at once and hugged me as best as he could.

"It's okay, she's gone now. And she won't do ANYTHING to Lacy."

"N-no! It's not that, I don't give a fuck about Lori! I'm…. Its just…. Ugh! I'm sorry! My brain is just still… scrambled, you know?" I say between my tears, motioning the jumble of my mind with my hands. He nods in understanding. I truly wasn't tearing up because of what Lori had done, honest. She was dead to me from that moment on. Wishing d…de… you know, on Lacy like that?! You must really be fucked up in the head to say that sort of thing! In all reality, I was upset that she must endure people's stupidity, well at least from the people who know. This was it. This was gonna be life. But you know what? This is only a minor setback. I should be happy right now! My daughter was just born and even if some people don't like the idea of who she is, she will always have us and that's perfectly enough.

When mom and dad walked into the room again, they looked around with confusion.

"Uh, where did Lori go?" Dad asked us.

"She… she left…" Lincoln sighed.

"Oh… well, she must have had some other plans then because I didn't see her outside either. Oh well, no biggie!" Mom brushed off. We can't tell them what happened, as much as I want to. At least not yet. If we do, it'll ruin their whole perspective of life itself. Their 'perfect' child will no longer be as perfect as they had painted her and though that would be a dream, our parents, they're getting old. They need Lori's help and if we tell them and in the slight chance that they do do something about it, the house will fall apart. At least until Lily is old enough to take care of herself, they don't need to know about this conflict. I care too much about Lily to put her through the pain of being left to raise herself at only 3 years old.

THIRD PERSON POV

In the waiting room sat the whole family except Lynn jr. as she was trying to feed Lacy. Lincoln had snuck back into the room without anyone noticing though, them kicking him out after a while of him being in the room with her. Lynn Sr. though was up to something. Something he knew that if Lynn jr. found out about, she wouldn't forgive him. Rita eyed him in confusion as he made his way to the front desk of the women and infants department. He looked side to side to make sure none of his family was around before calling the nurse's attention.

"Excuse me, ma'am?" He called out to her. Seeing him, she made her way back to her chair at the desk.

"Yes sir, how can I help you?"

"Alright, I need a big favor… In room 254B, my daughter, Lynn Jr. H. Loud just had a baby, but the problem is, we don't know who the father is. Is there any way we can find out?" He asked in almost a whisper.

"Well unfortunately sir, you would need two things. Her consent and the alleged father. Without any of the two, we can't do anything."

"But you don't understand. She's 16. I am her Father and make all of her legal decisions, so her consent shouldn't be needed since she is a minor!" he argued.

"Yes, I understand where you are coming from sir, but that's just the rules of the hospital. I'm sorry," she spoke. Lynn breathed in frustration. He pursed his lips as he thought for a moment. It then hit him.

"Look, I know you nurses don't get paid too much. What if we make a little deal here?"

"Sir, I can't—"

"In doing some research myself at home, it's a DNA test, right? There's DNA in Blood, and I was thinking," He started, reaching into his jacket pocket and taking out his wallet, grabbing a good chunk of twenties and slyly sliding the wad of cash toward her. "That maybe with the blood of the baby, you can find a match with previous patients here at the hospital? There could be a possible chance that he has come here, and if he has, his DNA should be in the system, right?" he persuaded. Now she was the one pursing her lips as she eyeballed the wad of cash in front of her. She became tense and desperately tried to make the right decision. She then looked around quickly and snatched up the stash, stuffing it in her bra.

"Lynn Jr. H. Loud you say, right?" she spoke as she typed into her computer. Lynn smiled slyly at this.

"Yes ma'am! Oh, and, just to be clear, this is between you and I, Right?"

"Of course."

"Perfect."

"I'll just have to see if I can access our saved files on DNA samples and get a signature on some papers. I'll hand those to you," She said, reaching back to get some papers and handing them to him.

"So, it's fine, I can sign these? She doesn't have to, or does she?"

"Well technically, she does, but I'll make some adjustments. You just need to fill them out for now." She spoke, still typing on her computer.

"Alrighty then, thank you very much, Ummm… Linda," he smiled, reading her name tag.

"Not a problem! I'll let you know the results as soon as I know." He nodded and left to sit back down next to Rita. She looked at him with a raised brow and crossed arms.

"What were you doing?"

"Nothing important honey, just some more… parental consent forms for Lynn. That's all." He answered, covering the papers on the clipboard he held as he filled them out to the best of his knowledge. She was still suspicious, but let it go.

Within an hour and a half, Linda called Lynn up to the desk.

"Alright, so we took a blood sample from the baby and looked in our record, although confidential, and luckily found a match!" She happily told him. His heart skipped a beat to the sound of this and he smiled eagerly.

"Really? That's amazing! So, who is the father?"

A/N: That's right, a cliff hanger! Haha! Thanks for reading guys! I know this took some time to go up, but the next chapter shouldn't take as long. Things are getting serious now, and I'm so happy I finally got to this part, it being one of the most anticipated scenes for me to write! The next chapter and the one after that goes together, them occurring at the same time, but through different POVs, so I'll try to post them on the same day. That being said, it might take, at most, a week to come out since I'm still not 100% done writing them. As always, feel free to PM me or leave a review! I love hearing from everyone! It's one of my favorite parts—to read about your thoughts! Anyways, See you next chapter!
