*I had about 900 words written down and deleted everything, realizing I was stuck and that's why it just has been sitting there, so yeah, let's try to get through this part because I know which part I want to get to, so sorry, I'm gonna time jump some*

Lynn

My eyes feel heavy and sandy as I look down at my daughter—who won't stop fussing. Reading the time off the clock by the TV, I see it's 4:32 a.m. I have been sitting in the living room with her for about two hours now, since she wanted to wake up at the wonderful hour of 2 a.m.! I knew this wasn't gonna be easy, but damn, some sleep would be nice! At least occasionally! At this point, I don't even know what she wants! I feel like crying, I really do because I'm just so tired! I thought by now, her being a month old, she'd get into a better sleeping habit, but nope!

"What is wrong? You're fed, burped, changed! I know you're sleepy so please just sleep! I am trying my best here, I really am! Please Lacy, I don't know what to do anymore for you!" I tear up. I try to stay quiet though. She just stares at me, her big eyes all watery. I feel a hand on my shoulder, making me jump a little.

"Hey, please go rest. I got her," Lincoln softly speaks, sitting next to me and trying to take her.

"No," I sniffle, pulling myself back together. "You need to rest, you have school and work, and I don't want to keep you up."

"Lynn. Don't act like you're not completely exhausted. Or like you didn't just have a break down…"

"… you saw that?"

"Yes, so please go sleep. This Is a partnership, remember?" He smiles, taking Lacy. I sigh and get up.

"…Thanks…" I mumble.

"Go sleep!" He speaks.

Luna

It's cold today, but that's not unusual for early March. School is starting to be a drag since there's only 2 more months left. I'm a senior and just want to leave already! I don't know what exactly my path will be after I graduate, but all I know is that I'm probably still gonna be working at this old diner. Just as my day was about to end, I see a usual costumer walk in. The only thing is, I've never seen him walk in so late! He usually comes around 5, but I guess he decided to switch things up, it being 9 pm.

"You're here late," I say, walking up to his usual spot at the counter.

"Got busy, but still wanted to come in and see you," he said, raising his eyebrows. This made me laugh.

"Wowwwww! You're so smooth! Haha! Portobello with a lemonade?"

"You know it!" I nod and get his order into the kitchen. When I walked back out, I was just wiping down tables, before he decided to make small talk with me. "So, Luna, is it normally this empty around this time?"

"I guess you can say that. Really just depends on the day, but it's never as full as when you come in."

"I see. And may I ask, where do you go to school? I'm guessing you're in college, right?" I stop at this point and turn to face him for a moment.

"No, I'm actually a high school senior. I go to Royal Woods High School. And you? Are you in any school?" I ask, getting back on task. He looked about my age, probably why he asked if I was in college.

"Well, I graduated two years ago, don't know if I'm gonna do the whole college thing though."

"It's not for everyone,"

"Yeah… so what, that makes you 18 then?" I walk over to the counter where he was and stood on the opposite side, resting on my elbows.

"Maybe," I smile.

"Good, because let me just say, you are one of the most beautiful girls I've seen around!" I can feel my face grow pink as the shock comes. I shake it off though.

"I… I'm sure you say that to everyone,"

"No, I don't," He winked. Was this actually happening? I mean he definitely could be considered very attractive, but should I…

"Well then, are you gonna stop there or were you gonna ask for my number?" I say, my confidence boosting. He just stares me down for a moment before shaking his head, laughing.

"Fine then! Luna,"

"Yes, Christian?"

"Do you wanna give me your number so that way we can hang some time?"

"You know what, I'm actually all good," I tease. "Let me see your phone, I'll put it in" I say with a smile. I do just that and he texts me immediately so that way I have his number as well.

When I got from work, I couldn't help smiling. I didn't know if this was the brightest of ideas, with all that was going on in my life, but hey, maybe this can turn out to be a great turn in events!

I walk through the door, not dragging my feet for once, and almost skip all giddy up the stairs.

"Whoa! What's up with the whole mood?" Luan asked as I barged in our room.

"Oh, nothing, nothing! Well maybe it is something… I got asked out today!" I almost squeal.

"Oh! Well, that's great! But what about Sam? Didn't you still wanna repair things with her?"

"Look, Sam made her decision and I made mine. I don't want to waste my time on a broken relationship! We did a thing for a few years, but it didn't show to last the chaos, but maybe this will!"

"…Okay… if you say so… so who is this person? Do I know them?" She asked, sitting on the bed as I began to undress from my work uniform. Things like dressing in front of one another didn't phase us in the tiniest bit, us growing so accustomed to it over the years.

"No, it's a usual at the Diner. His name is Christian~"

"Christian… how old is he? Doesn't only like… really old people go to that diner?" She teased. I stop in my tracks and give her a dead glance.

"No! And I would say he's about 20! He's very attractive though! Tall, curly dark hair, these light green eyes, VERY CLEARY in shape~" I rant on. Luan rolls her eyes playfully and giggles.

"Wowwww, such an unpredictable, unique character!" She sarcastically states. I throw a shirt at her.

"Whatever! Point being, he's hot and now I got his number!"

"Okay, well let's see if you actually act on it and text him! You let me know how that goes!" She continues to tease. I was too giddy to get upset though, and I know she was only playing around with me, so I laughed along with her.
