xXx The Black Sapphires xXx
xXx Ch. 01: What's Mine xXx

A beautiful woman who appeared to be about twenty-three years of age was walking down a dark street within the county of Surrey, England. She didn't truthfully know where it was that her feet had taken her to this very evening, nor did she particularly care. This was on account of the fact that her life was completely insane.

Oh sure, she could play the role that was expected of her as well as any other heiress of noble birth, however she did not truly belong to the society of her birth, or so she would claim if anyone had bothered to ask her. However no one had ever asked her such a question, so instead she wound up stuck in a sham of a marriage to a moron she didn't love, and if she hadn't been as good at avoiding the interest of the Dark Git Voldemort, she'd have been bound to his service on top of being bound to a useless husband.

Suddenly, as she was about to turn a corner, the girl heard the voices of three people she would recognize anywhere discussing something very, very interesting. "The Potter's kid? Why would they bring him to… oh, that can't be good."

Waiting several minutes to be sure that the voices and their owners had well and truly shoved off, the woman rounded the corner and walked up to the house that had the bundle of linens on the doorstep. As soon as she saw the child's face, Bellatrix Lestrange, née Black felt the glacier she had erected around her heart melt.

Almost at the same moment, a brilliant violet light swerved in her direction from miles above the planet's surface. This light had initially been heading towards an entirely different continent on this planet, but now it found a source of far stronger and more primal love in one location and needed to investigate.

Picking the child up so that it rested in her arms, Bella completely failed to notice the small glowing chunk of crystal that slammed into her from behind until after it had already begun encasing her in similarly glowing violet crystals. The fact that the young child was also being encased in those same crystals was quite possibly pure happenstance.

The conversion process to make someone into a Star Sapphire is intended only to have a single mind within the crystallization matrix, therefore when two minds appeared within the matrix things became a little confused. This became even more pronounced when the latent magic left over from the loving sacrifice performed by Lily Potter, née Evans made itself known.

Such a concept as sacrificing one's own life for the benefit of another was a completely alien concept to the Zamaron people, but not so much to the Entity that they drew their powers from. It was this discovery that drew said Entity's attention, and with a single nigh-omnipotent shrug, caused the brainwashing protocols of the conversion crystals to change in such a way that Bellatrix would identify the child known as Harry Potter, as her primary beloved, but in a maternal manner rather than a romantic one.

The Entity then considered something, before nodding to itself and merging its power nucleus with the child. Their conscious minds would remain distinct from one another, for now, but the child would have the full suite of powers that any of the Hosts of the Predator Entity would possess, though he would have to grow into those powers over time.

The last two things that the Entity did before withdrawing it's consciousness from this particular crystal, was to establish what the magical citizens of this world would refer to as a 'Blood Adoption' between the child and his new mother, and to also sever the marriage bond between Bellatrix and Rodolphus Lestrange. Her loyalty was to the child now, not to the man her former husband called his Lord and Master.

Within seconds of their having manifested, the crystals that had encapsulated both Bellatrix and Harry shattered into a fine dust to reveal the fact that Harry's blankets were now all completely pink, and that Bellatrix was likewise clad in a pink outfit, but one that seemed to be some sort of crystalline one-piece swimsuit that had lots of areas cut out, such as the entire area from her collar going down between her breasts all the way to her navel. It made it hard to discern just what was allowing it the outfit to preserve what little modesty she was being afforded by the garment.

Bellatrix looked down at herself with her eyes widening as she thought the words, 'Ooohhh my!'

She then took several seconds contemplating what the change of wardrobe actually meant, before an annoying voice in the back of her head informed her that she now had the powers of a Star Sapphire, which meant she could fly under her own power and at a great enough speed as to cross the ocean in a single night.

Looking up at the house she had found the boy on the steps of, Bella promptly cringed at the cankerous parody of love she felt wafting off of the home. There was no way she could in good conscience leave the boy in this home, not after witnessing that. So with a few more queries to whatever it was that was answering her questions, Bella took flight and a few moments after began traveling a path that would see her arriving at Metropolis in relatively short order.

Meanwhile on the planet known as Zamaron, a beautiful girl of indeterminate age watched as her Aunt Aga'po threw a monumental temper tantrum.

The reason for her Aunt's anger seemed to be the fact that she had lost control of yet another Star Sapphire Gem. The fact that this seemed to occur whenever a Star Sapphire Gem bonded with someone was not something that anyone felt it necessary to point out, due to the fact that most of the time the end results were within acceptable operating parameters… or in other words, the complete crystallization of a planet the instant the Star Sapphire succeeds in mating with the person that they have fallen in love with.

Ghia'ta, the girl in question, often wondered if crystallizing an entire planet in order to preserve their love in as perfect a state as possible was necessarily the best way to go about achieving the goal of causing the greatest amount of love to exist within the entire universe. That was why she often spent time simply gazing at the Star Sapphire Heart Crystal, wondering what it was that the two trapped inside of it might have felt as they died.

Turning her attention back to her raging aunt, she hesitantly asked, "Is it possible that using the gems gives the recruits so much raw power that it ultimately drives them insane?"

Aga'po paused mid-rant to actually consider that question. It was something she hadn't actually considered before. It was an interesting proposition, and if they were to use rings with a set charge limit, there would be no more planetary scale crystallizations, that being what was always the biggest setback to Aga'po's agenda. "I think you might be onto something, Ghia'ta."

One of the first things that Bellatrix knew had to be done as soon as she landed within Metropolis, was to visit the local magical enclave. She didn't really want to deal with accusations of having kidnapped Heir Potter, so it was necessary to make sure she had legal rights to him, something which the voice in her head was assuring her that she possessed.

Using the power of her gemstone, Bella caused her normal civilian garb to reappear, and even managed to cause Harry's blankets to resume their normal colors. Once she did that, she made the trip to the local equivalent to a Ministry building.

Within any given Magical Government building there were numerous departments, one of those was the magical department of children's welfare. It was here that one would go to establish guardianship over a child among other similar matters. The only thing Gringotts really dealt with was matters of inheritance and vault access.

It took Bella about twenty minutes after arriving in the city to locate their counterpart to the Ministry and a further ten minutes to locate the Office of Magic Relations and Education. Once she had, she found herself faced with a, a, a… "Can you please stop broadcasting that 'I'm fuckable' aura of yours, dear?"

The gorgeous brunette girl at the desk in this office, looked up with a very bemused expression on her face, "Wha-?"

Bella blushed as she tried to look anywhere but at the girl who was clearly a Veela, and said, "It seems I'm just as affected by your 'I'm sexy' aura as most guys would be."

The girl was now scowling, but did exactly as asked. She then said, "What do you want?"

Taking a moment to compose herself, Bella apologized before saying, "I need to make my blood adoption of this young man official so that certain individuals don't make my life hell."

The woman considered that, before pulling out a few documents and placing them on the table in front of her. "You got lucky that the MaCUSA has a prior history of accidental or spontaneous blood adoptions, if it hadn't you'd have likely been facing jail time just for admitting what you did. Sign these."

Bella did as asked, and when the young woman looked at the names that were being used, she had to groan in annoyance, "There is also one other thing that will now be necessary. If you could follow me."

Bella kind of already suspected what she now had to submit to, which was why she was unsurprised to be led to their Auror Department and into an interrogation room. The woman said, "I'll need to ask you to let me take care of the boy while you are interrogated."

Sighing, Bella allowed the woman to take the child and sat in the chair. About five minutes later an Auror entered and said, "Lift your sleeves."

Bella did as asked and demonstrated that she was unmarked. That didn't deter the Auror and he asked, "Will you willingly submit to Veritaserum?"

"Yes," Bella agreed. Unfortunately the problem with Veritaserum is that it was very difficult to remember what was being said while under its effects, so while she had a vague sense that the Auror asked her questions regarding both her marriage and also whether she participated in raids and functions as a Death Eater, she wasn't quite certain how she had answered other than to say, completely honestly.

When the interrogation was at an end, she was greeted by the sight of the young Veela and her adoptive son. "Oh, you're awake?"

"I answered to their satisfaction then?" Bella inquired.

"Yep," the girl replied. "From the sounds of things, the Auror Department wants to grant the two of you Political Asylum, though I don't know if that will actually happen."

Bella was actually slightly relieved that such a thing was being considered, as it meant that if they actually received such a boon, that they'd effectively be immune to any attempts to force their return to Great Britain. The girl however wasn't finished, "In the meantime, I was told to offer you a place to stay where the Department could reach you. So if you would once again follow me."

Bella's first week in the Colonies had been a true nightmare, as she was forced to reside within a Veela Enclave. The only reason she didn't go completely insane was because her host, one Brygid Filipek, managed to claim Bella as hers right from the start. Brygid was aware their relationship wouldn't last beyond the week that it took to determine whether Bella would gain Asylum, but she wanted to enjoy the very attractive woman while she had the chance.

The reason their relationship was doomed, was because Veela only bond with a single person on a permanent basis and that bond simply did not exist between Bella and Brygid. So on that final day, a much relieved Bella said, "I'm not going to say it wasn't fun…"

"But you couldn't truly enjoy yourself while surrounded by that many of my sisters, could you?" Brygid inquired.

"Definitely not," Bella agreed. "Promise to write?"

"Of course!" Brygid agreed. "And I plan on visiting our little man at least occasionally, if not you as well."

"I look forward to it."

About two weeks later, a woman with large demonic horns and lacking the features indicative of a mouth, but who was glowing in brilliant orange energy, ripped the doors off of a vault inside a bank on a planet light years from Earth. This woman then proceeded to enter the vault and fill up large bag with the contents of every single lockbox within the most secure edifice on this planet.

It was so easy to take the things that she wanted most, nothing existed which could stop her, as the Green Lantern Corps was strictly forbidden from entering this space sector by an ancient treaty.

"You know, it's quite rude to steal things that aren't yours." a voice spoke up from behind the woman. "I suppose I should spank you for being such a naughty girl."

Clypta slowly turned around so as to allow herself to see the individual who had just spoken to her. What she saw however made no sense to Agent Orange. "Pink… Pink Lantern?"

Bellatrix looked down at her outfit before sighing, "It's supposed to be more of a violet shade, but yes it does look far more pink than I'd have liked. Now are we fighting?"

"Mine and no one elses!" Clypta exclaimed while trying to hide the bag full of jewels behind her body.

"I see," Bella mused. She then held a hand up and using a combination of conjuration and crystallization, created a very large garnet. "How about a trade?"

Clypta blinked in confusion at what had just happened before her eyes. If what had just occurred had been as simple as magic, then there would have been no chance of a trade, however that wasn't what had occurred. "Agent Orange demands I accompany you to your world to learn how you did that."

Bella had to groan, that wasn't what she was hoping to accomplish. Especially as it meant she would very likely need to keep a very tight leash on this… well, whatever she was. "I'll agree but only if you follow one major rule… no criminal activity while on the planet we are traveling to. If you want something, ask me if I can see about purchasing it for you, and no temper tantrums if I'm unsuccessful."

Clypta tilted her head, as hard as that would have to be for someone with as massive a set of horns, or antlers or whatever they were, as she had. "Why?"

"Politics," Bellatrix admitted. "The bane of every criminal mastermind."

"Forget it," Clypta remarked, and followed it up by roaring out the word "MINE!" as she lunged for the garnet in Bella's hand.

Rolling her eyes, Bella threw the garnet into Clypta's face, causing the thing to explode into a crystallization matrix.

As soon as the crystal had encased the other female, Bellatrix breathed a sigh of relief, only for her eyes to narrow as she began realizing something wasn't quite right inside the crystallization matrix. That was all the warning she got before Clypta seemingly phased right through the crystal prison she had been trapped in, "Not nice."

"Crap!" Bella exclaimed as she unloaded countless bolts of violet energy in Clypta's general direction while simultaneously performing a tactical withdrawal. Bella didn't know it yet, but she had just made a huge problem for the Zamarons that they didn't even anticipate being possible, because they had never encountered this particular Lantern Corps before.

xXx What's mine is mine and mine and mine. And mine and mine and mine! Not yours! xXx

Author's Note: Start of a very new idea. And yes, I basically did just make Agent Orange a yandere, but can you blame me?
