Puck stood outside the window of the Hummel-Hudson house, but he did not know whose house it was. He did not know that Kurt's dad and Finn's mom had gotten married and had all moved in together. He had recognized David's car parked aside the road; he knew this wasn't David's house, so he wanted to know what he was doing there. Puck should never have come back to Lima, but he had. He knew that the police were looking for him. If they found him, he would tell them the truth because he always believed in owning up to what he did. Puck was now thinking about everything he did to Kurt; the bullying, tossing Kurt into the dumpsters, nailing Kurt's lawn furniture to the roof, and throwing balloons with pee in them at Kurt. Puck new he should feel some sort of remorse or regret for what he did to Kurt, but he didn't, he also didn't for what he did to David. Puck was sure David liked everything he had done to him, after all, David had come out publicly and now everyone knew. Even David's mom who he thought would disown him, maybe she had, Puck didn't know. David hadn't done anything to stop Puck from blackmailing him. Not even when Puck told him to stop slushing Kurt or threatening to hurt Kurt. Not when Puck told Kurt it was David's idea for Kurt to rejoin the football team, even though it was Puck's. David didn't want Kurt to. Not even when Puck told David to get on his knees and suck his cock. Puck had no proof that Dave was gay or attracted Kurt other than Puck observing Dave checking out Kurt in his lady gaga costume, which Puck thought was hardly the sexiest thing Kurt wore. The truth was he never really thought about these mean things he had done to a lot of people before. The only ones he felt bad about in any certain way, was what he did to Rachel, and a little bit about what he did to Finn.

His thoughts turned to Kevin and that night; a part of Puck new that he should never even have looked at Kurt's text. He definitely should not have gone to the alley that night, but he had. He probably should have stopped before he put Kevin in the hospital. Puck new that nobody deserved what he did to Kevin.

Puck didn't want to think about what kind of a bad person he was, so he didn't. All Puck thought was I've done these things and I'm the biggest bad ass in Lima.

Puck turned around and started to walk away from the house. He had been so lost in thought that he had not noticed someone come up behind him and they were now right in front of him. Dave grabbed Puck's shirt collar.

David said: "Puckerman you're some sick, twisted, piece of garbage. What are you doing here?"

Puck responded: "I could ask you the same thing. Let go off me, I don't want to fight you."

David some said: "The only reason you don't want to fight me is because you know you can't win."

David did let go of Puck, then took a few steps back. Dave had no intention of walking away; he could hear voices that he recognized from the party moving towards them. He wasn't about stop before the police came, or before his friends talked him out of it or joined in; he was going to fight. Justice, revenge, self-worth, or whatever it was; this was happening. David only had to hit Puck a few times before Puck was on the ground. Kurt and Sebastian and Kevin with everyone one who had been at the party came out of the house and watched him; they all looked at Puck on the ground. Kevin walks up to them.

Puck asked: "Green, you wouldn't kick a man when he's down would you?"

Kevin answered: "Why not, you did."

Then Kevin kicked Puck in the gut.

You could hear the sirens of the police cars coming.
