Author's Note:

Hey everyone! Here's the next chapter for Earth's Mightiest Huntsmen. But first, let's answer some reviews.

Hawko2632: Yeah, I've heard of the Darkforce and Lightforce stuff. I think a similar RWBY/Marvel fanfic used exactly what you're talking about. Not sure if I'll do the same or not, but I do have plans for the Shi'ar later on in the story.

superjoeyf721: I haven't really seen any of the Marvel animated movies, really just Planet Hulk, the Hulk vs Wolverine movie, and the Spider-verse movie, so I can't say for sure whether or not any of those will have direct impact on the story. Overall, the main cartoon that's inspiring this story is Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes, as most of the character designs are based around the designs from that cartoon.

Thank you all for your support. Now let's get back to the story.

Avengers Mansion

Despite the comfortable bed she had been given in the mansion, Ruby found it hard to sleep. Her thoughts were still on the events of the day. She was on an alien planet, surrounded by legitimate superheroes. She probably would've been more excited had circumstances been different. But it wasn't all good news.

Her friends were still missing. The Avengers had promised that they would find them, but from the sounds of things, even they didn't have much hope. Ruby hoped that they were okay. If they hadn't been transported to Earth, and were stuck on Remnant right there with Ultron…

She sat up in the bed, shifting around so her legs dangled off the side. She hated having been separated from the others. Weiss, Blake, Yang—her entire team was missing. They had already been through a lot together since starting at Beacon. And now they were gone.

She slammed a fist into the mattress in frustration. She felt so helpless. She couldn't do anything to help find them. She knew nothing about Earth or where any of her friends could be. All she could do was sit in the mansion and wait.

Finally giving up on sleep, Ruby got out of bed, grabbing Crescent Rose from where it was leaning against the wall and attaching it to her back before flipping her red hood up over her face and leaving her room.

The rest of the Avengers were no doubt asleep (except for Vision, who, as a robot, didn't have to sleep), so she stepped lightly, not wanting to wake her hosts up. She wandered down the hall and through the foyer until she stopped in front of a large picture hanging on the wall.

In this picture were several of the people she had met that day—Tony, Hank, and Wasp. But there were also two that she didn't know. The first was a huge, muscular man with golden locks of hair, a red cape, and a large hammer. The second was an even bigger man with even bigger muscles, though this one had completely green skin and wore nothing but a pair of torn blue shorts.

There was an inscription written on a plaque at the bottom of the picture. Ruby bent over to read the golden etched words.

"And there came a day unlike any other, when Earth's Mightiest Heroes found themselves united against a common threat. On that day, the Avengers were born, to fight the foes no single super hero could withstand."

"They were the original Avengers." Ruby swung around at the new voice, coming face to face with a balding man who was standing behind her, hands behind his back.

"Oh—sorry, Jarvis," Ruby apologized to the butler. "I didn't mean to wake you."

"You did not wake me, Miss Rose. I merely had some work that ran late." He focused his gaze back on the picture.

Ruby turned back to the painting. "The first Avengers?"

"Yes."

"Who are the two big guys?"

"The one with the hammer is Thor," Jarvis explained. "He is the prince of Asgard—and quite possibly the strongest active Avenger. He is currently on Asgard, watching over his people until his father wakes."

Ruby wanted to ask what all that meant, but decided to just move on. "And…the green one?"

"That would be the Incredible Hulk."

"What…happened to him?"

Jarvis looked sad. "We all made mistakes. Because of them, he didn't want anything more to do with the Avengers. So he left. Captain Rogers keeps an eye on him in his…new home. But we don't dare approach him again."

Ruby looked again at picture. "Why isn't Steve—uh, Captain America—up here?"

"Because he was not found and unfrozen until a few weeks after the Avengers formed."

"Un…frozen?"

Jarvis looked down at her. "It would be best if you heard Captain Rogers' story from him. It is not my place."

"Then…can you tell me how the Avengers were formed?" Ruby asked.

Jarvis gave her a small smile. "Perhaps I should make us some tea. It is a rather long story."

"How about coffee instead?"

"I think that would be ill advised. You do, after all, need sleep."

Ruby pouted slightly, but didn't argue. Jarvis led her to the mansion's kitchen and put a tea kettle on the stove. While he was distracted, Ruby spotted a plate of cookies that the butler had made earlier and quickly stuffed one into her mouth.

If Jarvis noticed, he didn't tell her. "Roughly ten years ago," he began. "The world did not have the Avengers as a superhero team. There were some teams, such as the Fantastic 4, but nothing on the scale of what we have today. Most of the superheroes worked alone, or in very limited team ups. Despite this, they were still effective in their work. The world was safe, and the supervillains were being contained."

The tea kettle began to hiss and whistle. Jarvis took it off the stove and poured Ruby and himself a drink. "Then the Kree came."

"The Kree?" Ruby asked, taking the teacup from Jarvis.

"A highly militaristic alien race. They sought to claim Earth for themselves in their war against the shapeshifting Skrulls. So they attacked." Jarvis took a sip from his teacup. "But humanity can be quite resistant to invasion, even when it comes from beyond the stars."

Ruby gulped down her tea. "You fought back."

"The world fought back," Jarvis confirmed. "Superheroes worked side by side with militaries and went head-to-head with the alien armies of the Kree. But only five heroes were able to make it to the Kree's command ship and defeat their leader."

"The founding Avengers?" Ruby guessed.

"Correct. The world was saved, but at a great cost. During the battle, the inmates of four supervillain prisons—the Cube, the Vault, the Big House, and the Raft—escaped. Nearly a hundred supervillains were now free. Seeing this, Iron Man, Ant-Man, the Wasp, Thor, and the Hulk decided to work together. And thus, the Avengers were born.

"Of course, more members were added over time," Jarvis went on. "As the number of heroes in the world grew, so did the amount of villains. Both sides escalate. It is the nature of the world."

"Are you a superhero too?" Ruby asked.

"No, Miss Rose," Jarvis answered. "I am merely the butler at Avengers Mansion."

As Ruby processed this, a distant whirling sound reached her ears. She turned her head towards the noise as it grew louder. A moment later, Jarvis did the same. "It appears we have a late-night visitor." He strode off in the direction of the front door.

"So…should I just follow you, or…" Ruby called after him awkwardly before saying to herself, "Yeah…I'll just follow you."

She caught up with Jarvis at the front door just as someone knocked on it. Jarvis opened the door, revealing a brown-haired man in a trench coat standing there. A symbol of a taloned hawk with the initials S.H.I.E.L.D. was pinned to his chest. But what Ruby's eyes instantly shot to was the eyepatch covering his left eye.

"Good evening, Director Fury," Jarvis stated.

"Jarvis," the man said back curtly. His eye flickered down to Ruby, who was peering from behind the butler briefly. "I need to see Captain America."

"Pardon me, sir, but could this not wait until morning?"

"No. Tell him that Hydra is back."

Ruby didn't have any idea what that meant, but Jarvis seemed to understand. "Of course, sir. I will wake Captain Rogers at once."

Fury nodded. "Thank you, Jarvis." He walked past Jarvis and Ruby and into the mansion.

"Miss Rose, I think it would be best if you returned to your room," the butler advised her.

Ruby wanted to argue, but she stopped at the serious tone in Jarvis' voice. Something big was clearly going on, and whatever it was, it was something that the Avengers didn't want any outsiders to be clued in—especially ones that they had only met earlier that day.

So, with great reluctance, Ruby turned and slunk off to her room again.

"What's this all about, Fury?" Steve asked once he and Fury had entered the war room. "Jarvis said something about Hydra?"

Fury plugged in something into the holo table. "They hit one of our research labs," he explained. "A squad of Hydra soldiers led by Crossbones."

Steve frowned. "You wouldn't be showing up this late for something as simple as that. What'd they get?"

"You're not going to like it." Fury pressed a button on the holo table, and several files appeared. "The scientists at the lab were researching into Adhesive X."

"Adhesive X?" Steve repeated. "I thought all samples of it were destroyed."

"We kept a few around for study," Fury explained. "Mainly to try to find a way to counter it."

Steve sat down in one of the chairs. "That was reckless, Fury. You and I both know that Zemo would go after it once he knew it existed."

"And you and I also know that, if Zemo ever perfected the Adhesive X formula, he would become even more dangerous," Fury shot back. "An adhesive that is completely unbreakable in Hydra's hands is a disaster—even more so with Arnim Zola still on the board. We wanted to figure out how to dissolve the adhesive—but our scientists never could crack the code."

"And now Zemo has enough of it to mass produce," Steve concluded. "Damnit, Fury—"

"What's done is done," Fury interrupted. "I didn't come here for a lecture, Rogers. I came here because Hydra needs to be stopped."

Steve knew that arguing with Fury about his actions was pointless. The director of S.H.I.E.L.D. was notoriously stubborn, especially when he thought he was doing the right thing. So he asked him, "Where did Crossbones take Adhesive X?"

Fury pressed another button on the holo table, and a recording played of Crossbones and several Hydra soldiers at an airfield. "S.H.I.E.L.D satellites tracked him to an airfield in Virginia," he informed him. "But his plane had a cloaking device. We're going over satellite imagery and running every test we can to track him down. When we do, it will hopefully lead directly to Hydra Island."

"And to Zemo," Steve finished. "Do you have the data with you?"

"Everything we have on this is on that drive," Fury replied, nodding at the drive in the holo table. "Get Stark to look into this. The more pairs of eyes on this, the faster we can put Zemo away for good."

"I'll get him working on that angle," Steve assured Fury. "I'll also take a team and track down some Hydra bases. Maybe we can get one of their agents to talk before they get a chance to kill themselves."

"Get it done, Rogers." Fury shut down the holo table. "One last thing—the alien girl you took into your fold today."

"What about her?" Steve asked.

"Is she dangerous?"

"To humanity? No. But we did learn that her world was attacked by Ultron…and her team could be stranded on Earth. She seems like a good kid."

"Keep an eye on her," Fury advised. "This wouldn't be the first time an alien pretended to be friendly only to stab us all in the back. But I trust your judgement, and that you'll take care of things should the worst happen."

Steve didn't say anything as the director of S.H.I.E.L.D. left. Fury was always going to be paranoid, and a lot of his actions didn't always sit well with him or the Avengers. But he knew that, in the end, Fury was just trying to do what was best for the world—even if his secrets ended up being detrimental overall. And he could understand his suspicion of Ruby as well. There were still a lot of unknowns about her and her potential.

But hopefully, in the morning, that would soon be revealed.

When Ruby woke up the next morning, she at first thought that she was back in her dorm room at Beacon Academy, and that she and her friends were safe. But it only took her a second to recognize the lack of the makeshift bunk beds to remember what had happened, and where she was now.

A pleasant knock came from her door. With a small moan, she rolled out of the bed and crawled to her feet, opening the door a crack to see who it was.

Jarvis was standing outside, a tray in his hands. On that tray was a coffee pot, a plate of biscuits and bacon, and a small bowl with sugar and cream packets, presumably for the coffee. "Good morning, Miss Rose," he greeted.

Ruby yawned. "Morning, Jarvis."

"I've prepared you a breakfast."

"Aww, Jarvis, you didn't have to do that."

"On the contrary. It was my pleasure, Miss Rose."

Ruby took the tray from him. "I'll try not to make a mess."

"Also, Captain Rogers would like to see you in the training room once you have finished with breakfast."

"The training room?" Ruby asked. "Why?"

"I believe he would like to, as people say these days, see what you're made of."

"He…wants to see me train?"

"I believe that's the idea, miss."

Ruby's heart began to pound with excitement. "Tell him I'll be down, uh, in a few minutes," she told Jarvis.

Jarvis bowed slightly. "Of course, Miss Rose. Enjoy your breakfast."

Ruby sat on the edge of her bed as she scarfed down the delicious food. She was perfectly happy showing off what she could do to the Avengers. Not only that, but getting the chance to fight and train again could help take her mind off things.

Although…it had been some time since she had trained without her team. Just thinking about them again made her wonder where they were, and if they were okay. Her biggest concern was Yang. She had been one of the worse off, especially with the energy beam that had hit her in the head. While she was one of the toughest members of both RWBY and JNPR, even she had her limits.

She poured her usual amount of sugar and cream into the coffee and gulped it down. Wherever they were, she could only hope that they were still okay, and that they had found allies just like she had.

Once she had cleaned her plate, she grabbed her weapon and sprinted from the room. As she passed Jarvis in the hall, she deposited the tray into his hands and kept on going, heading for the elevator that would take her to the lower, more superhero-y part of the mansion. As it descended, she tapped her foot in slight anticipation, and when it finally opened, she zoomed down the hallway using her Semblance.

When she reached the training room—the same one that she had seen the others train in the previous day—Steve was waiting for her, along with one more member of the Avengers—Black Panther. "Looks like someone's excited," Steve commented with a small smile.

Ruby skidded to a stop. "Well, Jarvis said you wanted me down as soon as possible."

"Of course. Are you ready to get started?"

Ruby nodded eagerly. "Give me your best shot."

"Unfortunately, I can't stay," Steve announced.

"What? Why?"

"Some things have come up. Avengers business." Steve gestured to his colleagues. "But T'Challa will stay behind to see where you're at in terms of your fighting prowess."

"Uh…okay."

"If you're anything like you've said, I'm sure you'll do fine," Steve assured her, walking past her and out the door. "Good luck, Ruby."

"And, uh, good luck to you too, with…whatever you're doing!" Ruby called after him. She then turned back to Black Panther. "So…uh…"

"Let us see what you have learned," Black Panther spoke, folding his hands behind his back. "Attack me."

"Uh…" Ruby hesitated.

"Attack me," Black Panther repeated. "If you can."

Ruby pulled out Crescent Rose and converted it to its scythe form. Although she had no ammo left for the weapon due to the Dust not working, she could still attack with the scythe. She crouched into a running stance and then launched herself, running straight at the hero and swinging her scythe at him. In an instant, he shifted to side, letting the scythe's point hit the ground right where he had been standing.

Seeing this, Ruby swung herself around on Crescent Rose's handle and tried to kick Black Panther in the back. But he leaned back, letting her fly over him. She landed back on her feet, pulled her weapon out from the floor, and started swinging furiously at him. He continued to step back away from her blows, bending back just slightly enough to avoid getting hit despite the swiftness of Ruby's attacks.

Ruby activated her Semblance again, speeding behind Black Panther in a burst of rose petals. But the instant she reformed, the hero kicked her in chest, sending her flying back several feet. She got back to her feet, grasping her weapon tightly as he pulled out several knives, which began to glow with energy.

He threw three of these knives at her, which she zipped out of the way of using her Semblance. She launched another attack on him, swinging her scythe directly for his torso. But, to her shock, he clapped his hands together around the blade of Crescent Rose, stopping it in its tracks before yanking it from Ruby's grip, which sent her stumbling a few paces forward, close enough for him to kick her in the stomach. Winded, she stumbled back, while the hero tossed the weapon aside.

Ruby's eyes narrowed in determination as she used her Semblance once more in an attempt to speed over to retrieve her weapon. Black Panther threw more knives—not at her, but right next to Crescent Rose. The moment she reformed and grabbed it, the knives exploded, launching her into the wall. She hit it hard, falling to her knees briefly before getting back up.

She once again used her Semblance, trying to go for the weapon again. This time, Black Panther swung his leg forward, kicking Ruby right as she reached it. She skidded back, deciding to forget the weapon and attack him directly. With a determined cry, she ran at him.

Small claws extended from Black Panther's hands as he slashed at her. The impact of the attack sent her sprawling once more, though her Aura absorbed much of the damage.

Ruby was starting to get tired. But that wasn't going to stop her. As Black Panther approached, claws flashing, she used her Semblance one more time, this time avoiding his attack and having a chance to grab Crescent Rose. The hero turned around just as Ruby lunged at him, slamming the blade down on him.

The blade tip hit him with a loud CLANG. To Ruby's shock, there wasn't a mark on him. Despite the thin looking catsuit he was wearing, Black Panther's outfit had completely stopped the blade in its tracks. As her eyes widened in surprise, Black Panther flipped backwards, kicking her in the chin and knocking her down, her Aura finally flickering in weakness.

"This fight is over," Black Panther told her as she tried to get back up, having noticed her flickering Aura. "I have seen enough." His claws sheathed as he held a hand out to her.

"How did Crescent Rose not hurt you?" Ruby asked, taking his hand and letting him pull her to her feet.

"My suit is comprised of vibranium," he explained. "It is extremely durable and can absorb large amounts of kinetic energy. Very few things can pierce it, even when it is this thin."

Ruby rubbed her arching back. "I couldn't even touch you in that fight."

"That is because you seem more used to fighting unintelligent monsters such as your Grimm rather than highly trained combatants."

Ruby shuffled uncomfortably. "Well, I've beaten a few people in fights before…"

"You also seemed highly reliant on the use of your weapon," Black Panther went on. "You were far stronger with it, but once you had lost it, your fighting skills diminished considerably."

Ruby turned red slightly, chuckling with embarrassment. "I didn't think it was that bad…"

"Despite this, you still performed quite well," he assured her. "Whoever taught you how to use a weapon like yours taught you well."

"Yeah, that my Uncle Qrow," Ruby admitted. "I'd be total garbage without him." Her face fell as she thought about Qrow, not knowing whether he was still alive or if Ultron had killed him.

"With enough training, you could become a great warrior," Black Panther went on.

"Th-thank you, Mr. Black Panther," Ruby stammered. "That means a lot."

"We are not in the field," he told her. "You may call me T'Challa if you'd like."

"Yeah…that sounds a lot better than Mr. Black Panther."

T'Challa let out a small sound that might've been a chuckle. "However, should you want to fight others on Earth, you will need to do something about your weapon?"

"What's wrong with Crescent Rose?" Ruby asked.

"It is lethal."

Ruby was confused. "Uh…aren't weapons supposed to be lethal?"

"Perhaps…when fighting monsters and those that are tougher than you. But most of the people that you may be fighting are not as tough as you. Humans do not have Auras as your people do. As such, when you hit them with a scythe such as your own, they will not survive. And you have yet to learn restraint."

Ruby hung her head in slight shame. Truth be told, she hadn't really considered that. It still hadn't fully hit her that she was on an alien world, with aliens that were more fragile than she was.

"But this is why we train." Ruby snapped her head back up to T'Challa, who had folded his hands behind his back. "No one is a great warrior at first. We have all had to learn over time, just as you have had to learn to fight initially. And we are willing to help continue your training for as long as you are with us."

"You are?" Ruby asked.

"You have the heart of a warrior, Ruby Rose. In time, you could become a great hero. Whether it be on Earth or on Remnant remains to be seen. But we can help you rise above your potential, if you are committed."

"This training…will it help me learn how to beat Ultron?" Ruby asked.

"Perhaps. Ultron is no easy foe to beat. Even we Avengers were barely able to defeat him. But rest assured, when the time comes, we will be there to fight him together."

Ruby thought about how easily Ultron was able to take her and her friends down. How far she still had to go in order to become a great huntress. If the Avengers were going to help train her to become even stronger, then…

"I'll do it," Ruby said. "I'm ready for training."

"Very well. We shall begin with strengthening your aptitude in hand-to-hand combat. Set your weapon aside." Reluctantly, Ruby put Crescent Rose on the ground and slid it away.

"Now," T'Challa said, getting into a fighting stance. "Let's begin."

Virginia—5 miles away from suspected Hydra base

"Are you sure T'Challa's the best one to train the kid?" Clint asked Steve as they sat in the back of the Quinjet.

"He knows how to pace himself and take things slow," Steve replied. "Besides—Ruby's probably not ready for a training session with Nat yet."

"I heard that," Natasha announced through the intercom.

"I know T'Challa's good and all, but you could've done it," Clint went on.

"Hawkeye has a point, Cap," Janet agreed.

"I would normally," Stee admitted. "But right now, taking down Hydra is more important."

"Captain Rogers is correct," Vision agreed. "Armed with Adhesive X, Baron Zemo would be able to incapacitate any one of us. We must find him on Hydra Island and destroy all traces of Adhesive X as soon as possible."

"What's so special about a magic glue?" Clint asked, counting his arrows before putting them back in his quiver.

"Adhesive X isn't just any magic glue, Clint," Steve told him. "It creates an indestructible bond between any two surfaces—including people. It's the brainchild of a madman. Heinrich Zemo first engineered it during the war. And now, his son wants to bring it back."

"Touching down now," Natasha reported from the cockpit.

"So, if we're trying to find Hydra Island, how come we're in Virginia?" Janet asked as the Quinjet landed with a soft thump.

"Tony's running some programs to try to track the shipment from his satellites," Steve explained, getting up. "But in case he can't find it on his end, we're going to be hitting Hydra on the ground."

"You think there's a base out here?" Hank asked. As he spoke, the Quinjet ramp lowered.

"This is the airfield that Crossbones used as a staging ground," Steve answered as he, Janet, Clint, Hank, Vision, and Natasha stepped out into the grassy field. "There's a good chance that there's a Hydra base close by." He focused on a large hangar in the distance. "And I'm betting it's right there."

Vision focused on the hangar. "The hangar is well shielded," he reported. "I am unable to confirm Hydra's presence here."

A siren suddenly blared in the direction of the hangar. Seconds later, the ground erupted as multiple defense turrets popped up, aiming straight at the Avengers. Every one of them had the image of a tentacled skull on them—the symbol for Hydra.

"Hey, Vision?" Clint remarked as the Avengers prepared for a fight. "I think we can confirm Hydra's presence here now."

Hydra Island

Baron Zemo watched the screens as the Avengers began their attack on the airfield base. "Ah, my old enemy," he mused as he focused on Captain America, who was throwing his shield at one of the defense turrets, smashing it to bits almost instantly. "You do not realize the machinations at play."

"Shall we send reinforcements to the airfield, Baron Zemo?" a Hydra soldier asked.

"No," Zemo decided. "Everything is going as planned. The Avengers have been drawn out. Now it's time to hit them where it hurts."

"If I may ask, sir…why? Are we trying to lure the Avengers here?"

"That is correct," Zemo confirmed. "They will find us no matter how much we try to hide, especially after the moves we've made. They will come in force even if we try to hide the island. So, instead of hiding…we will bring them to us. For when they come, we shall have quite a few surprises for the dear Captain and his friends."

He turned to face the soldier. "Signal the strike team. Tell them that it is time to make their move."

The soldier pressed a button on his wrist. "It is done, Baron."

"Good. And soldier?"

"Yes?"

Zemo pulled out his sidearm and shot the soldier through the head. "Never question me again."

Avengers Mansion

"Talk to me, F.R.I.D.A.Y.," Tony ordered as he pulled up a holo map. "Are you sure there are no satellite feeds that caught Crossbones' plane?"

"I'm afraid not, sir," a female voice answered. "It appears that the plane was utilizing the same kind of cloaking and jamming field that Hydra Island itself possesses."

Tony rubbed his forehead in thought. "A plane like that's got to have left some sort of engine trail."

"Unfortunately, I have detected multiple different engine signatures matching that of the plane in question heading in multiple different directions," F.R.I.D.A.Y. reported. "I suspect the use of drones. Crossbones did his job well."

Tony frowned. "If he used drones to cover his trail, then he had to have deployed them somewhere. Bring that position up."

"Affirmative." A few seconds later, a single location was enlarged on the holo map, being a position located in the northern Atlantic Ocean. "We have a match. 2,000 miles off the coast of the United States."

"Show me the paths of all the trails branching off from that point," Tony commanded. A second later, ten different trails branched off from the main point, heading in multiple different directions. He frowned slightly, deep in thought.

"Are there any engine trails that stop at that point?" he asked.

"Affirmative."

Tony smiled. "I think we got them. The other drones, the other engine trails—they're just a distraction." He pointed a finger at the highlighted area. "I think that's where Hydra Island is. Log it and send a message to Cap and the others. Tell them that I found where the snakeheads are hiding—again."

"I am trying to reach Captain Rogers, but all outbound communications are being blocked."

"What?" Tony asked, instantly becoming alert. "By who?"

"Comms out of the mansion are down," a soldier reported.

The cloaked figure smiled slightly under his hood. "Excellent. Keep them that way." He strode forward, his cloak waving around him as he made his way to the front of the strike team. Most of the team was made up of basic Hydra foot soldiers, with the notable exception of himself and two others.

The first was a bald man with a dark beard. Most notably, his red uniform was covered with covered with metal gadgets and constructs. He currently was flexing one of his metal covered hands, while the other was converting to and from a laser canon.

The other figure was a being made of pure energy. Though he appeared as a dark shape, his white eyes burned with an intense hatred, and the yellow marking all over his body glowed with power.

"Fixer and I are tired of waiting," the energy being complained. "When do we go in, Reaper?"

The cloaked man smiled and lifted his right hand up, letting the sun glint off the scythe that was in place of a regular human hand. "No need to wait any longer, Laser," he told him. "We attack Avengers mansion…now."

Hoo boy, that doesn't seem good. Hydra's about to attack Avengers Mansion with soldiers and three supervillains? This won't end well.

I'm glad I got to write this chapter and introduce fully Edwin Jarvis. Rather than go with an AI Jarvis, I decided to give his original, human form some spotlight and used F.R.I.D.A.Y. for Iron Man's AI. Though, I can say that there were several times that I almost called him Alfred. Oh well.

I know the past few chapters have been kind of boring, mostly for setup and introduction purposes, but I assure you, the next chapter or two (or three) will be a lot of action. After all, the Hydra Island raid is about to happen, and when it does, things are going to go down. I can't wait to show you guys what happens-but first, we got a bit of a mansion brawl to get through first. But that's for next time. Until then, this is Guest 1138, signing off.
