Author's Note:

Hey everyone! Here's the next chapter for Earth's Mightiest Huntsmen. But first, let's answer some reviews.

GothmogOnslat: Most Asgardians, aside from Thor, don't seem to like mortals very much. Especially mortals that just showed up out of nowhere.

SuperSaiyanFever: It would be kind of funny to see her summon a Frost Giant, but I'm not sure if her Summoning powers would work for enemies she defeats that aren't Grimm. And of course, Loki makes a run for it. But I wouldn't be surprised if he shows up again later on in the story.

Red Scorpion: Don't worry about the multiple reviews, it's all good. And thanks for reminding me that they're actually called "magazines." My crazed mind just automatically goes to "clips" every time thanks to my long history of Nerf shenanigans with my friends, where we always called them clips. Hopefully I'll remember to name them correctly in the future. As for the Punisher, there definitely is a chance for him to show up. Assume most Marvel characters, especially the big names, have a chance to show up, unless I say otherwise, though some will appear later than others.

Thank you all for your continued support. Now let's get back to the story.

Asgard

If traveling through the Bifrost was rough, then Loki's secret backdoor portal was a hundred times worse. Jaune was once again flung in all directions as he tumbled through the vortex until he was spat out onto the ground. He rolled several feet, slamming into a building so hard that he barely realized that Weiss had slammed into it next to him.

Weiss let out a groan. "That was…unpleasant."

"Tell me about it." Jaune stumbled to his feet, holding his stomach. "Oh, I think I'm going to be sick."

There was a crackle of energy, and Thor appeared, followed by the Warriors Three. "We've made it," Thor said. "We're back on Asgard."

"Glad to see that this place isn't as cold as the last one," Weiss remarked as Jaune helped her to her feet. "But what's so special about…oh my." Her eyes widened as she stared out to the distant palace, which, to Jaune's notice, had a pillar of smoke rising from it.

"May the Dark Elves be cursed forever for this invasion," Fandral growled.

"How many of these Dark Elves do you think are here?" Jaune asked.

"Hard to say," Hogun grunted. "Amora would have let a small number in with Malekith, but if they have control of the Bifrost—"

"Then there could be untold hordes of Dark Elves swarming Asgard," Thor finished. "We must secure the Bifrost to cut them off."

"We'll handle it, Thor," Fandral told him. "Warriors Three! To the Bifrost!"

"We will drive the invaders back and, when the realm is saved, we shall feast!" Volstagg cheered as he, Fandral, and Hogun raced away.

"What about us?" Jaune asked. "What can we do?"

"You will come with me," Thor told him. "We are going to the palace. The vault is at risk, along with my father. We must stop Malekith and Amora before they get their hands on the Casket of Ancient Winters."

"What are we waiting for then?" Weiss asked.

"Come then," Thor said, raising his hammer. "Let us join the battle!" Lightning crackled around him and shot into the sky, causing a huge clap of thunder before he took off running.

"He's not very subtle, is he?" Weiss noted.

"I think he and Nora would get along really well," Jaune commented. "Come on, before he runs too far ahead of us."

The Asgardian soldier lunged at Malekith, who simply stabbed him in the chest with his sword, killing him instantly. "Pitiful," he said. "Asgardians believe themselves to be the fiercest warriors in the galaxy, yet they fall so easily."

"Mmm, they are indeed quite arrogant," Amora remarked from behind him, looking bored. "Without their leaders, they simply fall apart."

As the two prepared to enter the palace, an echoing thunderclap brought their attention behind them, where, in the distance, they could see lightning flashing, as if a storm was brewing.

"So…he found a way back," Malekith growled softly.

"Thor was always resourceful," Amora pointed out. "Especially when it comes to getting Loki to cooperate, as he no doubt did."

Malekith hissed slightly. "Get into that vault. I want what's mine, Enchantress."

Amora tched. "Do you honestly believe you are in a position to command me?"

Malekith pointed his sword at her. "Do not misjudge your usefulness to me, Enchantress. You would not have made it this far without my Dark Elves. Without me, the Asgardians would defeat both you and your brute of a bodyguard. Now, be a good girl, and bring me the Casket."

Amora glared at him, but spun on her heel and marched away. Malekith smirked at her obedience, then turned back in the direction of the thunder.

"Come, Odinson," he said. "Come and meet your doom."

"You don't have to stay with us, Thor," Jaune told him as he, Thor, and Weiss ran towards the palace. "You can easily fly ahead of us."

"Nay, Jaune Arc," Thor answered. "Should we encounter Malekith on our way, I must be there to defeat him and bring his madness to an end."

As they got closer, running down the palace, they were suddenly met by a small group of humanoid figures. They were lightly armored, pale skinned, and had white masks covering their faces, with their eyes colored black. They turned at their approach. "Odinson!" one hissed.

Thor's eyes narrowed. "Dark elves." He swept his red cape behind him, spinning his hammer. "Stand fast, mortals! The battle is upon us!"

The first two Dark Elves engaged Thor, swinging their blades at him. He blocked the first blade with Mjolnir while punching the second one in the chest so hard that he went crashing through a nearby building. He then sent a blast of lighting into the first one, sending him spasming to the ground.

While most of the Dark Elves focused on Thor, a few of them peeled off to attack Jaune and Weiss. The two stood shoulder to shoulder, weapons drawn, as the Dark Elves closed in, striking with blades directly at them. The two worked together to hold them back. To Jaune's notice, every time he or Weiss cut a Dark Elf, their skin seemed to smoke and burn.

"What's with these guys?" he asked as he slashed one of them, causing him to retreat in pain, his arm is smoking.

"Dark Elves are weak to iron," Thor explained as he threw his hammer, controlling it to ram into multiple different Dark Elves before calling it back to his outstretched hand. "Even weapons with only slight traces of iron in them can cause severe burning in weaker Dark Elves. But Malekith will not be so easily defeated."

"They never are," Weiss agreed as she parried a Dark Elf blade before stabbing him in the chest. Jaune then raised his shield to block another strike from another Dark Elf. As he grunted in frustration, Jaune shoved his shield forward, throwing him off balance long enough for him to slice his head off.

The last three Dark Elves turned around and tried to run, but Thor was much quicker. He slammed Mjolnir on the ground and bolts of lightning flashed from the sky, incinerating the fleeing enemies.

"That wasn't so hard," Jaune commented after pausing a moment to catch his breath.

"No doubt Malekith has positioned his forces to engage more strategic areas throughout Asgard," Thor guessed. "Asgard's army should be keeping them at bay. But we must reach the palace quickly. The vault will not hold out forever."

"Then let's stop talking and keep moving," Weiss suggested.

Thor nodded. "Aye. Let us move on."

The trio continued on their run, getting closer and closer to the palace. As they ran, Jaune noticed the surrounding buildings, many of which were on fire or had been blown to pieces. There were also plenty of bodies lying around, both Dark Elf and Asgardian.

"It's just like what happened on Remnant," Jaune thought grimly. "Everyone is dying."

"No," he thought, tightening his grip on Crocea Mors. "I'm not going to let it happen again. We're going to stop these guys no matter what." He shared a look with Weiss, realizing that she had come to the same realization and conclusion.

The three raced up the steps to the palace before Thor skidded to a stop. Standing in the entrance, hands folded behind his back, was Malekith. "Welcome, Odinson," Malekith greeted.

"Malekith!" Thor roared. "It is time for you to answer for what you've done here!"

Malekith smiled coldly. "Do you really believe that you can defeat me, Thor? In a few minutes, the Casket of Ancient Winters will be mine, and Asgard will be nothing more than a frozen wasteland."

Jaune snorted slightly. "Can't be worse than Jotunheim."

Malekith's eyes flickered to him. "Ah. So you've brought mortals to face me. How adorable. The Prince of Asgard must always rely on his mortal friends to achieve victory."

"I do not need help to defeat scum like you, Malekith," Thor told him. "Where is Amora?"

"Where she needs to be," Malekith answered.

Thor's jaw clenched. "The vault. You sent her to secure the Casket."

"Ah, so there is indeed a brain under all that muscle."

Thor pointed Mjolnir at Malekith. "I will give you one chance to surrender, Elf!"

Malekith chuckled. "You already know my answer, Odinson."

Thor swept his cape behind him. "Jaune Arc, Weiss Schnee—you must reach the vault. It is down the entrance hall and down a flight of stairs on the left. You must stop Amora before she is able to plunder it."

"We're on it, Thor!" Jaune told him. "Let's go, Weiss." The two of them ran towards the entrance of the palace. Malekith lunged at them, but Thor threw Mjolnir into him, sending him spiraling into the wall.

"You think he can take him?" Weiss asked as they ran through the palace hall.

"I think Thor could take on Atlas' entire army all by himself if he wanted to," Jaune answered. "He'll be fine."

They quickly found the staircase Thor had mentioned and raced down it, running past the bodies of both Dark Elves and Asgardians. As they ran, they heard a loud BANG coming from the end of the staircase.

"They're in the vault!" Weiss yelled.

The two reached the bottom of the stairs, finding a massive golden door lying off its hinges, alongside two more Asgardian bodies. They exchanged a look before stepping over the door and entering the vault.

Inside, they found a large golden room filled with pedestals. Each one held a strange object. Even from several feet away, Jaune could feel the power radiating off them.

At the end of the vault was another pedestal. The object on this one was a small blue box. It was this object that the woman in green, Amora, was approaching.

"Stop right there!" Jaune ordered, leveling his sword at her.

Amora stopped, slowly turning around. "So, Thor sends mortals to fight in his stead? How very…typical."

"Step away from the box," Weiss ordered.

Amora chuckled. "Amusing." She raised a hand, which ignited into green fire. "Begone, insects." The fire shot from her hand, heading straight for Jaune and Weiss. Jaune quickly raised his shield, letting the fireball slam against it. The force of the blast sent him stumbling back into Weiss.

Amora's eyes narrowed. "You wish to test your might against an Asgardian, mortals? So be it."

Jaune sized Amora up. "Think we can take her?"

"She doesn't look that threatening," Weiss replied, getting into a fighting stance.

Amora tched. "Mortals. So overconfident." She snapped her fingers and a ring of green appeared next to her. From that ring emerged a huge, armored man in red and black armor. He was bald, had a small patch of dark facial hair, and carried with him a massive axe.

Jaune chuckled nervously. "Heh heh. He's a big one."

"Skurge? Deal with the mortals," Amora ordered.

The big man grunted and began to lumber towards them. "Got any bright ideas?" Weiss asked.

Jaune quickly weighed their options. "Think you can take her on your own?" he asked.

Weiss thought about it. "Yeah—I think I can handle her."

"Great. You get her. I guess I'll deal with…well, him." Jaune walked forward, putting himself between Skurge and Weiss. "Okay, big guy. Let's do this."

Skurge lunged at Jaune, swinging his axe down at him. He rolled to the side, the axe slamming into the spot where he had just been standing. As the warrior focused on him, Weiss took the opportunity to run past him, heading straight for Amora.

Jaune focused all his attention on Skurge, who was bearing down on him. "So, uh…I don't suppose you're just going to surrender and save me the trouble of fighting you?" he asked.

Skurge raised an eyebrow slightly, but remained stone-faced. His grip on his axe remained tight.

"Yeah," Jaune said after a moment. "I didn't think so."

Thunder and lightning clashed outside as Thor sent volleys of lightning at Malekith. The Dark Elf simply transformed into a cloud of mist, the lightning passing right through him before he reformed.

"Stand and fight, coward!" Thor roared. He threw Mjolnir at the Dark Elf, who simply leaped out of the way, rolling on the ground as the hammer flew back at Thor.

"You show your weakness, Odinson," Malekith responded, leveling his sword at him. "You prefer to face your enemy head on. Against an enemy that uses tactics and strategy to avoid your wrath, you are helpless."

Thor spun Mjolnir around. "You think me helpless, Malekith?" He flew at him. "You think wrong!"

The two clashed their weapons before engaging in an intense duel. Each time the weapons connected, sparks of lightning shot out in multiple directions. Neither warrior was willing to give up any ground to the other as they clashed more and more.

Eventually, in one long clashed, Thor forced his weight into Malekith, forcing him to stumble back. Seeing his chance, Thor swung Mjolnir, catching him square in the chest and sending him crashing into the wall. The Dark Elf grunted in pain, sinking to his knees.

Thor advanced, not wanting to give Malekith a chance to recover. But as he descended on him, he transformed into mist once more, reforming behind Thor and slicing at him with his taloned fingers. Thor grunted in pain and swung Mjolnir around at him, but the Dark Elf simply transformed again, reappearing several feet away.

The Asgardian raised his hammer to the sky, summoning a massive lightning bolt which he shot at Malekith. He teleported out of the way, the lightning striking the ground with a loud BOOM!

Malekith reappeared in front of Thor, trying to stab him with his sword. But Thor was quicker, grabbing his arm and squeezing, forcing him to drop his sword. Malekith growled in frustration before forcing himself free from his grip, taking several steps back.

"You are outmatched, Malekith!" Thor warned. "Surrender!"

Malekith hissed. "Never, Odinson! Today will be the day your blood stains Asgard's halls!" He quickly teleported to his sword, scooping it up and slashing at Thor, managing to cut his arm slightly.

Malekith grinned savagely and continued his advance.

Weiss ran at Amora, who simply teleported out of the way of Myrtenaster's tip, reappearing several feet away. "Please, darling, if you're going to take on an Asgardian, you really must come up with a better strategy," she mocked.

Weiss launched herself at Amora again, but this time, the Asgardian sent another green fireball at her, hitting her directly in the chest and sending her into one of the pedestals with a strange looking golden glove. Luckily for Weiss, her Aura took the brunt of the damage. But she knew that she couldn't take many more hits like that.

"I will never understand my beloved's fascination with mortals," Amora commented, her hands glowing with green energy. "They always fall so easily, despite the power they believe to have."

"Beloved?" Weiss repeated, getting back to her feet. "If you love Thor, why are you trying to destroy his home? Your home?"

Amora scowled. "Thor has never seen me as an equal, always refusing my advances in favor of others. First that wretch, Sif. Then, the audacity of it all, he fell for a mortal woman!" She seemed to get angrier as she spoke. "How dare he choose a mortal over me!"

"Seriously?" Weiss asked, "You're doing all this just because the one you love doesn't love you back? That seems really petty."

Amora glared. "You think me petty, mortal? Have you ever loved someone, only for them to not love you back?"

Weiss thought about it briefly. "No, not really."

"Ah, but your thoughts betray you," Amora said with a small smile. "You have been slighted before by this…Neptune. Such a terrible thing to see him flirt with other women when you clearly had feelings for him."

Weiss blushed briefly before regaining her composure. "That's not important," she argued. "I would never want to kill Neptune for something like that."

"Besides," she thought, "he's probably dead by now anyway."

"Bah!" Amora snarled. "You would never understand the plight of someone who's lived for thousands of years! I was always there for Thor, and he turned his back on me! Now, he shall pay for his slights!"

While Amora was distracted rambling on about her revenge, Weiss took the opportunity to dash at her, trying to strike at her with a flurry of blows. But, to her surprise, Myrtenaster passed right through Amora's body as it dissolved into green mist.

Weiss, realizing her mistake, tried to turn around as the real Amora appeared behind her. But she was once again too slow as Amora blasted her with another fireball, which caused her Aura to flicker slightly.

"If you are supposed to be the next in line to be a great hero on your world," Amora told her, "I'm not impressed."

Skurge swung again and again at Jaune, forcing him further and further back. The big man seemed untiring and unrelenting as continued his assault.

"Focus, Jaune," he told himself, "Find an opening and take advantage of it." He dodged another axe strike that slammed into the ground, then moved in to try to take a swipe at Skurge's arm. The warrior simply raised a gloved hand and caught the blade easily before kicking Jaune into the wall.

Jaune grunted slightly as he got back on his feet. "So, Skurge, was it?" he asked. "How'd you get a name like that?"

Skurge didn't answer. Instead, he took another swing at Jaune with his axe, which he was barely able to deflect with his shield. He gave a silent thanks to the Asgardian smiths that had strengthened it after the damage it took against Heimdall. Otherwise, he suspected that his opponent's axe would've cut clean through it.

"Not much of a talker, are you?" Jaune noted.

Skurge attacked again, forcing Jaune back even further. Out of the corner of his eye, he could see that Weiss wasn't fairing much better against Amora. "How are we supposed to beat warriors that are stronger, faster, and more powerful than us?" he briefly thought as he dodged the axe again.

Skurge's swings became more and more furious as he attempted to chop of Jaune's head. As Jaune dodged and blocked as best he could, he slowly began to realize that each time he swung into the ground, he left himself wide open to attack. He began to slow his breathing, trying to focus in on the right moment to strike.

"Ready…and…now!" As Skurge drove his axe down at him again, Jaune swung around, bashing Skurge in the face with his shield. The warrior grunted in pain, stumbling back, letting go of his axe in the process.

Jaune held back a cheer as he put himself between Skurge and his axe as he held a hand to his face, wiping off a small trickle of blood that was running down his nose. "Not so tough now without your axe, huh?" he asked.

Skurge flashed him an amused smile. Then he reached behind his back and pulled out two pistols, twirling them and taking aim at Jaune.

Jaune groaned. "You've got to be kidding me."

Thor slammed Malekith into the wall. He threw a punch that the Dark Elf was barely able to avoid, making the Asgardian punch the wall instead, leaving a large hole behind. He then transformed into mist, reappearing behind Thor and swiping at his back, taking a big chunk out of his cape.

Thor leaped into the air, slamming Mjolnir into the ground and creating a shockwave that knocked Malekith off his feet. "Yield, Malekith!" Thor ordered.

Malekith got back up, panting. "You should know me better than that, Odinson." He snapped his fingers, and several more Dark Elves materialized around him.

Thor's eyes narrowed. "How many of your soldiers will you hide behind?"

Malekith chuckled. "Who says I'm hiding?" He raised his sword and pointed it at Thor. At this, his soldiers all charged at Thor, with him joining them a second later.

Thor readied himself and, when they were close enough, engaged them, bashing two aside and grabbing the third by the throat, throwing him into a fourth. Two more were brought down with Mjolnir, while another was blasted aside with a bolt of lightning. When two more appeared behind him, trying to restrain his arms, he swung around and threw them off him.

While he was distracted, Malekith took the opportunity to swipe his sword at Thor. He tried to block, but was too slow, and the sword cut into the side of his face. He winced in pain, swinging wildly at his nimbler opponent, who avoided each strike with ease.

"I will break you, Thor Odinson," Malekith promised. "And after I'm done with you…Odin will be the next to fall."

Thor gritted his teeth. "I say thee NAY!" He launched himself at Malekith, lightning crackling from Mjolnir. He slammed into him, sending him further down the hallway into the palace. With a battle cry, he pursued him.

Weiss ran as Amora lobbed fireball after fireball at her, each one missing her by just inches. "You cannot run forever, mortal!" Amora mocked.

Weiss knew that she was right. Sooner or later, she would have to attack. But Amora's magical prowess was keeping her at bay. Every time she got close, Amora would teleport away. Weiss guessed that this was because she was much weaker in close combat. If Weiss actually managed to get a few blows in, it could be enough to take her down.

But getting in close wasn't going to be easy. Amora certainly wasn't going to let her get close. She needed a plan, and she needed it fast.

Another magical blast nipped at Weiss' heels as she ran, nearly causing her to trip and stumble. As she righted herself, she quickly saw that she was close to the strange golden glove again. Thinking quickly, she grabbed the glove off the pedestal and ran straight at Amora, throwing the glove at her. Amora batted the glove aside, and Weiss was suddenly upon her, thrusting Myrtenaster towards her.

Suddenly, an invisible force stopped Weiss from moving. Her eyes widened as she struggled to move, to press Myrtenaster's tip into Amora's chest, but she was frozen in place. Amora smirked, casually stepping out of the way and running a finger down Weiss' cheek.

"Such a pity," Amora said. "You are no match for my spells. Even with this "Aura" of yours protecting you, you still fail."

Weiss strained with effort against the spell, but it was hopeless. She was stuck fast.

"And now," she continued, raising a hand and igniting it with a green flame once more. "Your journey comes to an end."

Skurge fired again and again with his pistols, each shot nearly knocking the shield from Jaune's grip. At this point he was pressed up against the wall, which allowed the Asgardian to rush forward and grab his axe.

The moment Skurge dropped his pistols, Jaune ran at him. But he was too slow. As Jaune moved to strike, Skurge swung his axe, hitting Jaune directly in the chest. Jaune was blown back from the force of the impact, flying across the room and hitting Weiss. A split second later, Amora shot a magical blast that sent both of them even further across the vault, hitting the back wall.

On impact, Weiss cried out in pain, her Aura completely shattering as she hit her shoulder against the wall. Jaune didn't fare much better; when he hit the wall, he could feel that the impact from both Skurge's axe and Amora's fireball had pushed his own Aura to the limit.

"These games bore me," Amora said as Skurge lumbered behind her. She ran a finger down his chest. "Be a dear, Skurge, and end their lives."

"You okay?" Jaune asked Weiss.

"Do I look okay?!" Weiss snapped, clutching her shoulder in pain.

Jaune looked back as Skurge began to march towards them. He had about two seconds to come up with a plan, or they were both dead.

And that was when he saw that both he and Weiss had ended up directly behind the pedestal with the blue box on it. A crazy idea came to mind.

He got to his feet and grasped the top of the box. "Let's hope that this is what all this fuss is about."

Amora's eyes widened in horror. "No—stop! Executioner!"

Skurge lunged forward, but it was too late. Jaune forced the box's lid open. Instantly, a massive blast of cold shot out of it, engulfing both Skurge and Amora in seconds. The force of it made Jaune stumble back as the cold nearly overtook him too.

"What did you do?!" Weiss shouted to be heard over the howling wind.

"Opened up the Casket!" Jaune shouted back.

"Well can you get it closed?!"

"I'll try!" Jaune raised an arm to his face as he struggled back towards the casket. Even though the brunt of the winds were directed away from him, he could still feel them pushing against him. His body temperature was plummeting rapidly. But he pressed on, reaching a shaky hand towards the lid. With a last yell of determination, he pushed the lid forward, sealing the casket.

Thor pummeled Malekith again and again, forcing him back further and further. The fight was taking its toll on the Dark Elf. He was covered in bruises and burns from Mjolnir and looked furious.

"You think this is over, Odinson!" Malekith yelled. "It has only just begun! Asgard will fall sooner or later! It is only a matter of time! And when it does—" He stopped suddenly as the air began to grow colder. A howling wind reached Thor's ears.

"Nay," he said allowed. "Surely that could not be the Casket."

Malekith turned to his right, where the staircase to the vault was. A swirling vortex of winter's fury was spiraling out from it.

"No!" he screamed as he was engulfed. Thor braced himself for the storm to expand, but a few seconds after it had consumed Malekith, the ice stopped advancing, leaving the Dark Elf frozen in a giant block of ice.

Thor shook himself out of his daze and headed for the staircase, using Mjolnir to smash his way through the ice in his path. In a few minutes, he reached the vault, where he saw both Amora and Skurge, also frozen in ice. At the other end of the vault sat Jaune and Weiss, both of whom looked exhausted and cold.

"Mortals!" he called, rushing to them. "Are you injured."

"We'll l-live," Jaune shivered.

"What has transpired here?"

"We almost got killed by those t-two," Weiss answered, nodding in the direction of the incapacitated Amora and Skurge. "Jaune opened that casket thing to stop them."

"It was our only ch-chance to survive," Jaune explained.

Thor nodded, smiling slightly. "A bold plan, Jaune Arc. I approve."

Running footsteps came from the staircase. Thor swung around, ready to fight, but found that it was Balder, running with a troop of Asgardian soldiers. "Odinson," Balder greeted.

"What news, Balder?" Thor asked.

"Our armies have retaken key areas held by the Dark Elves," Balder reported. "They never got close to Odin's chambers. I have also received word from Fandral. The Warriors 3 have retaken the Bifrost and cut off further Dark Elf reinforcements. The day is won."

"Good," Thor said. "Then I believe it is time to lock up Amora, Skurge, and Malekith."

"Are they…alive?" Jaune asked.

Thor nodded. "Asgardians can easily survive harsh temperatures. Amora and Skurge will live, though they will be rather furious once they thaw out."

"I'll see to it that they are dealt with," Balder promised.

"Thank you, my friend." Thor turned his attention back to Jaune and Weiss. "Now, let us get you mortals some medical attention." He gave them a smile. "You did well today. You helped stop our enemies from gaining control of a power relic. Asgard is in your debt."

Jaune slowly got up and helped Weiss to her feet. "Just doing what we were trained to do," he replied.

Thor nodded. "Come then. You've earned this rest."

Once their injuries had been treated, Jaune and Weiss stood outside the palace doors, watching the Asgardians begin the cleanup of the debris and bodies left behind from the fight. Jaune had offered to help, but Thor had told them that they had done enough.

"Gods, Frost Giants, magic—I never would've believed any of it if I hadn't seen it with my own eyes," Weiss said.

"And we thought Remnant was crazy with the Grimm," Jaune agreed. "Now we know there's a whole galaxy of danger out there."

Weiss rubbed her arm slightly. "I hope Ruby and the others are okay."

"As long as they didn't wind up someplace really bad…I think they're okay," Jaune assured her.

"Do you think we'll ever see them again?"

"Thor said that he was willing to help us look. He said we can start our search on Earth, or Midgard, or whatever the heck it's called. He has more friends there that can help."

"And then?"

Jaune looked at her. "Then we find a way to take down Ultron and save our home."

And thus the battle for Asgard is over-and this arc is more or less over too! Next chapter will be both a wrap up of this arc and the start of the next arc, which will feature one of the hardest (and one of my personal favorites) villains to get right. But which villain will that be? Place your bets and make your guesses!

As for the fight between Jaune and Weiss against Enchantress and Skurge, this was certainly a difficult one to figure out. At full strength, Enchantress and Skurge would easily crush the RWBY characters. Fortunately, Enchantress does seem like the type of character that would toy with her prey before striking the killing blow, especially when she's confident that she was succeed. Even with the Asgardians holding back, Jaune and Weiss only survived based on pure luck-which is another reason why I'm glad this arc is over, since now they can face villains that they can actually beat normally rather than relying on Relic ex machina. As for why the palace on Asgard was so lightly defended, keep in mind that this battle has been going on for hours by the time the group got back-plenty of time to whittle down and divide Asgard's forces.

But anywho, that's all from me. Until next time, this is Guest 1138, signing off.
