Chapter 231

Hiccups POV:

It's been five weeks since we got back from the Gaulish village and since then, nothing much has happened other than me and my family returning to our daily routines. Astrid helping my mom train the dragon riders and helping the Berk guard, Blanca training the snake guardians, Brant continuing his training while also finding time to play with Chara, who spent her time playing with the animals and dragons of the island. As for me, I was balancing my time between spending time with my family, chief training with my dad, tending to the island inhabitants, working on my projects and of course flying Toothless for a little me time.

The projects I'd been working on were some new automaton ideas, looting a few shipwrecks at the bottom of the ocean, collecting some diamonds from my mine and other such things to keep me busy. So far, I've only made one new invention and that was glowing flower which is a simple little nightlight that I built for Chara since she had nightmares some time and I was hoping it would help her get back to sleep. This invention was shaped like a lotus pod made of pure gold with the insides of the petals being blue glass with the pod in the middle being a luminescent stone and to open it up, the gear on the bottom of the pod just has to be twisted three times and put down before it opens and to close it, the pod just needs to be pushed closed.

Now I was carrying Chara in my arms with Brant next to me as we enjoyed the show that was being performed by the five female Arabian dancers who were performing for the crowds in the bazaar that opened up on my island this morning. I couldn't help but chuckle at the sight of some of the married men, getting slapped by their wives for eyeing the dancers in a way that they did not approve but I couldn't blame the men for staring since what the clothes the dancer's clothes did show a lot of skin. While me and the kids enjoyed the show, my wives were busy going through the various stalls to see if there was anything that would catch their eye. It was then a hand landed on my shoulder and I turned to see the owner of the hand was a royal guard who asked.

"Hiccup Haddock?" I nodded before he reached into his bag and pulled out a scroll and handed it to me. "From the royal family who asked that I inform you that it is not serious and to read it at your own leisure." With that said he walked away as I looked down at the scroll in my hand before I shrugged and put it away and returned my attentionto the show, but my mind would continue to drift to the message.

Nightfall

I walked into my library wearing my alpaca fur nightgown with a content smile since today had been pretty good and ended with a relaxing bath after a delicious dinner, prepared by my wives and shared with my family. I sat down in my favorite chair in front of the lit fire before pulling out the scroll I was given at the bazaar by the royal guard so I could see what was going on in the city of Madain Saleh. I unrolled the scroll and looked down at what was written but the more I read, the bigger my smile got since it was a message from the royal family. They wanted to let me know things are going well in the city with crime was low, the harvest had been fruitful, and things had been pretty peaceful these past few days. It was because of this and how we hadn't seen each other in so long they wanted to invite me and my family to the city for a vacation where we could catch up on things and just enjoy some time together. It was then I was brought out of my reading by the feeling of familiar arms wrapping around me as the voice of Blanca said.

"We were wondering why you had not come to bed." It was then Astrid sat down next to me and leaned her head on my shoulder.

"So, what's got you up so late tonight?" I held up the scroll.

"Just a message from the royal family from the city Madain Saleh." I lowered the scroll. "They've invited us over to their land for a small vacation to catch up on things since it's been a while since we last met." The girls nodded as Blanca said.

"It has been a while since we last saw them." Astrid then said.

"I think the last time we met them was at your birthday party a few months back." I leaned back into the chair before Blanca began massaging my shoulders.

"I remember that party well, it was pretty fun." I wrapped an arm around Astrid's waist as I smiled. "And I definitely enjoyed the gift you both gave me that evening." They blushed before Blanca said.

"A nice quiet trip might be nice since the children have been asking about the land where the bazaar comes from." I nodded.

"True, and I have been wanting to see the royal family again since they're like family to me." Astrid then said.

"So, it's decided then?" I nodded as did Blanca.

"We better begin planning the trip." Astrid stood up while giving Blanca a look I did not understand but Blanca seemed to get it and nodded.

"We could do that, or we could head back to bed and have another night like we had on your birthday, right Blanca." She nodded.

"I think that would be wonderful." Hearing this I immediately stood up and took their hands.

"Let's get to bed then." They giggled at this, but I was more focused on the enjoyable night that was waiting for me in the bedroom.

Arabia

Nobodies POV:

Deep in the Arabian desert a group of bandits were making their way across the sands by horseback while being pursued by a group of fifteen guards wanting to bring them in for their crimes. These criminals wore black masks around their mouths with grey turbans, and dark colored robes with a single seal on a sash running across their chests. These men had been pursued by the guards for the entire day across the blazing desert sun and now under the cold full moon and stars trying to escape the guards. They charged towards a large, sandstone valley hoping to escape through it knowing that this valley had many twists and turns which would make it harder for the guards to keep track of them. With this knowledge the bandits quickly rode into the valley with the guards giving chase before the group split into different directions to try and confuse the guards.

10 minutes later

Half of the bandits had managed to escape the valley with a handful of guards after them while the other half was either still fleeing from the guards or captured and being taken back to the nearby city to be sentenced for their crimes. Now a small group of five bandits were fleeing from the guards taking every twist and turn they could in order to try and escape their pursuers. It was then as they'd made a final turn, their horses came to an immediate stop, throwing their riders over their heads in the process before turning around and fleeing in fear of something. The bandits watched in horror from their position on the ground as their quickest way of escape fled as the sound of the approaching guards echoed through the walls of the valley.

They immediately looked around to try and find a way out of being captured with some of their comrades before one of them ran at the valley wall, hoping to climb it in order to escape. He let out a yelp of surprise, gaining the attention of his comrades who turned to their comrade but only saw the valley wall until their comrades' head appeared right out of the wall revealing it to be an illusion. Not being ones to give up such an opportunity when the guards were fast approaching, they quickly followed their comrade into the wall just as the guards came around the corner, missing those who had run into the wall to escape them.

Past the illusion the five bandits were looking down a long dark hall that had multiple stone pillars holding up the roof with an unlit torch hanging from the wall between each one of them. One of the bandits walked up to a torch on the wall while pulling out two spark rocks and gently slamming them together in order to light it and allow them a better idea of where they were. After a few seconds the torch lit up and as soon as it was lit the other torches burst to life with flame, lighting up the entire hallway that seemed to be endless with the floor being covered in a thick lair of dust. Figuring there was no danger in such an old hallway they began making their way down it, knowing the only other option that they had was to leave through the way they came in and they were unaware if the guards were still there, looking for them.

The hall seemed to go on for eternity until the men came to staircase leading to a large platform that was set in the middle of a giant chamber that had a deep dark pit going around the edges of the large platform. Around the platform were five more staircases, each leading up to small platforms with tall pedestals resting upon them but at this distance the bandits, couldn't tell what was on them. One bandit decided to take the risk and made his way into the chamber and when he reached the bottom of the stairs the room came to life with the various torches around the wall lit up, lighting up the room in their heated glow. The bandit looked around at the room and saw above each of the pedestals on each wall was the painted image of different beings and in the center of the platform was a large sword that had been stabbed into the ground.

While the bandits looked around the room at the various artworks, they noticed that on top of each pedestal was a single jewel that was the size of a human head. Before any of them could begin to approach them though, one bandit placed his hand on the sword after noticing the jewels that decorated the handle but the second his hand made contact, he let out a scream of agonizing pain drawing the attention of his comrades. The gems imbedded in the golden hilt of the sword glowed bright orange before an unseen force began pulling the men towards the sword as they did their best to fight it and keep their distance while their comrade continued to scream in pain. In seconds the bandits were all touching the sword and like the first man who touched the weapon, they to, began screaming in utter agonizing pain while the gems on the pedestals themselves began glowing. A few seconds later the bandits each let out one last scream as their bodies turned to dust, allowing their clothes to fall to the ground while five different laughs echoed through the chamber and down the hall while a pulse of power flew through the land.

City of Madain Saleh

In the royal palace, in the bedroom belonging to prince Aamin and his beloved wife Kaamisha, the former genie felt the pulse through her body and immediately sat up in shock while breathing heavily. Aamin who was awoken by the sudden movement of his wife sat up and looked at her in worry before he asked her.

"What is wrong?" She took a few deep breaths before turning to her husband.

"I don't know, I just felt a large jolt of power." He sighed and gently rubbed her shoulders to relax her.

"Are you sure?" She nodded.

"We should let the sultan know as soon as we can as it might be trouble in the future." He nodded.

"It'll have to wait for the morning my love, for I doubt my father will be happy if we wake him up on simply a bad feeling." She nodded as Aamin lay back down with Kaamisha snuggling up to him, but sleep did come as easily to her as it did before.

2 days later

Hiccups POV:

I smiled as my family walked through the portal door leading to the palace gardens of Madain Saleh before I took a deep breath of the fresh Arabian air. I looked around at the garden and smiled at the familiar sight remembering the first time I came here was to attend Amira's birthday party which is when I first met the Sultan and the demon masquerading as Aamin. It was then I was brought out of my thoughts by a gentle tugging on the bottom of my grootslang coat and turned to see Chara was the one pulling it making me smile as she asked.

"Is this the palace where the king lives." I smiled as I kneeled to her level.

"Yes, it is sweetie, but the kings here are called Sultans and I want you to remember that he may be a friend of the family, but you must only show him the highest respect." She nodded as I looked at Brant. "That goes for you to son." He nodded making me smile. "Now let's go greet the royals." With that said we made our way towards the entrance of the palace.

Nightfall

Today had been eventful, starting with the meeting of the royal family who were all happy to see me return to Arabia with Aamin even putting me into a brotherly headlock and rubbing my hair telling me I should visit more often. After that, introductions were made to the kids, so they knew who is who, with Aamin, Amira, Kaamisha and Jahid insisting they call them aunt or uncle while the sultan insisted, they call him aljidu al'akbar meaning grandfather in Arabic. Following this our time was spent catching up over a meal that the sultan had his chefs make for all of us since it was nearly lunchtime and the kid's tummies were grumbling. The meal we were served was delicious as expected with a bit of small talk being enjoyed while the royals caught me up on what's been happening in the city and me catching them up on what's been happening in my life starting with when the kids came along.

After we finished lunch, I was taken to the training grounds since everyone wanted me to demonstrate my new skills and the abilities of the new gear I'd picked up since our last meeting. Of course, each demonstration was followed by a question and answer session concerning what the weapon could do or where I learnt the skill I used. Of course, I also got a few requests from the guards to teach them some of my new combat moves since they could tell how effective they were after I used some of them on their fellow guards for demonstration purposes. That took up the entire afternoon with my family sticking around to enjoy the show except for Brant who spent this time studying my movements to improve his own skills as expected of him.

Once that was done, nightfall had come and with it came the time for dinner which is when we were all lead to the dining room where we were all served a delicious dinner where like all meals, we enjoyed a little small talk. When dinner ended, we made our way to a sitting room where we enjoyed a little light conversation together with me showing off some of my adventures as requested by the sultan. Through it all though I could easily tell that something was troubling Kaamisha and it was clear she'd been told to keep it quiet since when the sultan thought I wasn't looking he whispered to her, to keep the news from me for now. What it was she was keeping from me was not something I knew and that worried me, and I fully intended to check what it was they were trying to hide from me but for now I needed some rest.

This brings us to now with me lying in bed with my wives soundly sleeping at my sides while Toothless was sleeping on a rock in the stables with Stormfly and Liánhuā and the kids sleeping in the room across the hall from the room I'm currently in. Sleep was not coming to me easily for two reasons with the main one being the thing that was bothering Kaamisha since I couldn't help but feel it was something, I was going to need to get involved in. The other reason sleep didn't come easily to me is because I had a gut feeling something bad was coming and if my past experiences have taught me anything, it was trust the feeling but it made me wonder, what was coming. I took a breath and lay my head down against the pillow knowing that I couldn't worry about it now and get some rest since I wouldn't be able to do anything if I was tired so I allowed myself to fall into slumber.

Deep in the desert

Nobodies POV:

The large mountain range that held the valley where a group of bandits had been chased not more than two days ago slowly began to come undone with the stone walls of the various valleys cracking and falling to reveal tall smooth stone walls and pillars. This continued until the large mountains of stone with twisting valleys were no more and in their place was a giant Arabian palace made of orange desert stone with giant looming statues against the walls where torches lit with bright orange flames roaring within. Above all other parts of this palace was a tall tower that had a balcony at the top going around the room with five figures stood, looking out at the desert.

The first figure on the left was six feet tall with large muscles, blue skin, glowing red eyes and a black beard, wearing a red vest, a white turban with a red feather and a gemstone on the front center of it, wearing black pantaloons with a swamp green belt, purple Arabian shoes, a necklace with three purple jewels around his neck and a set of black ring wrist bracelets around his right arm. On his belt was a set of jeweled daggers among other things and on his back was a very large scimitar that looked sharp enough to split a hair.

Next was a five foot tall figure who very skinny with almost no muscle making him look like a corpse that had been drained of all fluid with his hands being black with golden claws and on his left arm was a set of arm bands on his wrist and middle part between the elbow and the shoulder with one set being the color of blue and gold in five separate rings on his left arm while on his upper left arm was a golden engraved armband that had rubies engraved on it. On his head was a large turban, covering half his face so it only showed his nostrils that looked to belong on a skull, his mouth full of yellow teeth and a black curly beard with the fabric of the turban being green and gold with copper and silver triangles pinned to it. On his waist was a pair of green pantaloons with black tint and no shoes showing his skeleton like feet that have long nails sticking out of them.

After that came a six feet tall figure wearing black pantaloons with red trimming and red shoes but no shirt, exposing his skin that was dark bronze as if it were made of bronze. He was also wearing a black Sultan silk crown on his head with a mix of red on top of it is a jeweled with a Golden Chain and coins hanging off it with a red ruby in the center in the front of the turban and around his wrist and on his arms between the elbow and the shoulder were golden bands. He had a short beard that was a mixed color of red orange and yellow making it look as if it were made of fire as were his eyebrows while his eyes themselves looked like hot coals.

After him came the only female of the group who was five feet in height with long braided hair with jewels tied into her hair and around her wrists were enchanted golden rings. Covering her face was a golden veil to hide her face and besides that, she was also wearing a leather belly dancer top which has a green emerald in the middle with a strange golden pattern on her midsection on her blue skin. She also had a golden button leather belt wrapped around her waist which hangs off which has another part of it being orange while the rest was black. She also has very long sharp claws that could easily be used like knives and also transparent yellow silk harem pants that shows her legs with multiple knife sized, scimitar blades around the waist with brown shoes on her feet and a golden anklets around her ankles. Her eyes are normal with a green tint in the color surrounding her pupils also and around her arms between the elbow and shoulders were the same patterns as the ones on her midsection with jewels and pearls embedded in her veil and hair.

Finally, there was a slightly pudgy but muscled figure who was six feet in height and had skin that was mix of navy blue and Sapphire in color with yellow white eyes that had no pupils with black hair in the shape of a ponytail hanging off the upper back of his head. Around his neck was golden chains with some chains going down his front and around his back to meet the back of his chains with more chains around his wrists that were tighter than the ones around his neck. He also had sharp talon like claws on his fingers and two extremely large curved horns growing out of his forehead and reaching the far back behind his head. He wore a black silk Arabian sash around his waist with a black Arabian pantaloons, but he wore no shoes because of the long talon like claws on his feet.

The fire like figure in the middle smiled at the sight of the palace fully forming until it was complete before he said in a deep male voice that released a breath that was so hot, the heat could only be compared to a raging bonfire.

"Let us begin!" All five of them raised their hands and the palace began to shake before it slowly began to float up into the sky until it was just below the clouds. "Let us now rebuild our kingdom and make this world our own, as we should have been able to all those centuries ago." There were nods from the other figures as the palace began moving to a new location.

Morning

I was sitting down at the dining table with my family, the sultan, Amira and Jahid, enjoying breakfast while waiting for Aamin and Kaamisha who were surprisingly sleeping in late. It was then the doors slammed open gaining everyone's attention with Aamin and Kaamisha running in with Aamin supporting Kaamisha who was looking deathly pale. We all stood up to help her but before we could do anything Kaamisha looked up at us and said.

"We're all in trouble." I raised an eyebrow as I rushed up towards her.

"What's going on?" She looked up at me.

"Last night I received a message from the Elder genie council." I raised an eyebrow as she was sat down.

"Elder genie council?"

"They are a group of ancient genies who are also the last of genies born from the first generation." I nodded. "As a former genie they were easily able to contact me from their place on Mount Qaf and warn me about what is coming."

"Why do I get the feeling that whatever it is they warned you about is going to be a major headache?"

"Hiccup, this is no time to make jokes." I could see the fear in her eyes and knew it was serious.

"What's going on?"

"Five of the most powerful but evil genies ever to exist have somehow escaped from their prison." She looked down tightening her fists in fear as Aamin placed a comforting hand on her shoulder as he said.

"Beloved, I think it best you inform us what we'll be going up against." She nodded.

"Thousands of years ago the genies were ruled by a king who was the father of all genies but his power was so strong unlike other genies who were able to use their lamps and bottles to anchor their bodies and powers to this world, he was forced to use a giant sword to not only ground his powers but channel and store the majority of it." After reading about genies and what they're capable of, I knew this was some serious power. "For a while, things were peaceful until a group of five genies decided that our people should rule this world and began to gather followers who agreed with them and formed a small army before staging a coup to overthrow the king." She smiled. "Fortunately, there were those who were completely loyal to the king who helped him fight back against them but in the end, it was barely enough to stop them, and many genies lost their lives in the battle." Jahid then asked.

"Couldn't the king have done something with all his power?"

"He had his hands full dealing with the five leaders of the coup who had secretly been draining the power of other genies for days before they launched their attack, so their power combined was enough to keep him at bay." She sighed. "In the end it wasn't enough, and they were able to overpower him and were able to get their hands on his sword and with it, his powers that were held within it." I didn't like where this was going. "For a few seconds they were able to wield his power, but the king still had one last resort to ensure they'd be punished for their crimes and ensure they'd never harm another person." She looked down in sadness. "It came at a great price." She then looked up. "While the five genies enjoyed their victory the king was able to cast a final spell on his sword allowing him to make the magic within it drain the five of their powers and imprisoning them each in a gem that they used to anchor themselves to this world leaving them no way out." The sultan then asked.

"What happened next?"

"Once they were imprisoned in the blade the king faded out of existence having used up all his magic but his wise council still remained and they took command of things, starting with the imprisonment of all those who followed the genies who started the coup within their holders and scattering them across the world." I then asked.

"What happened to the sword and the gems holding the genies?"

"From what I was told, they were hidden away in a place where the council hoped they'd never be discovered until some bandits who were fleeing from guards stumbled upon the palace where both the sword and the gems holding them were hidden." I clenched my fists.

"I'm going to have to have a word with those bandits about messing with forces they don't understand when the genies are dealt with."

"I am afraid that will not be possible Hiccup." I raised an eyebrow. "The way the genies were able to escape is by draining the bandits of their life force which allowed them to unlock the magic within the sword and reclaim their own magic while leaving the bandits as nothing but dust." I sighed and leaned back into my chair as Amira asked.

"So, what is it they're planning to do?"

"They intend to pull the cities of Arabia out of the ground to join and expand their floating palace and slowly form their own kingdom which they will use as a base to take this world, one city at a time." Everyone began muttering to each other in fear. "As for the people, they are turned into slaves who are forced to obey the genies, but they are aware of everything so they're basically prisoners in their own bodies." I looked down and shook my head.

"That's a fate worse than death." I then looked back up. "But I thought genies couldn't do that sort of thing due to the laws of being a genie." She looked down and shook her head.

"These laws were only put in place by the council after they were imprisoned so it does not affect them." Aamin then said.

"I take it the reason you were warned about them is so we can begin evacuating the citizens and prepare for battle." She shook her head and turned to me.

"Hiccup-" I held up my hand silencing her.

"Let me guess, they want me to go after them and put them back into their prisons." She shook her head.

"They actually ask that you leave Arabia immediately." I raised an eyebrow as everyone looked at her in shock but I couldn't blame them since normally I'd be asked to deal with the evil that's threatening a land and its people. "They claim that should you fall under their power than the power of the gods that you wield will allow them to become completely invincible against any form of magic whether it be that of a mortal or that of a god."

"I can't be controlled so easily." She turned to me.

"You don't know Djamila." I raised an eyebrow.

"Who?"

"She is one of the five genies who is coming and the only female of the group who is as deadly as she is beautiful." I smiled at my wives.

"Sounds like my wives." They both blushed but the moment was ruined when Kaamisha growled.

"This genie isn't a joke Hiccup, and neither are her comrades." I could tell how serious she was.

"How do you know about them since from what I can understand, they were imprisoned as a genie."

"This knowledge is imprinted into the mind of every new genie, so we know the history of our peoples past and to ensure we know why these rules exist."

"If that's the case then perhaps you could tell us what we're dealing with starting with the female of the group." She nodded.

"Her name is Djamilaand she was once a normal genie that possesses incredible beauty and with it, the ability to easily control men with a single kiss being able to completely enslave the soul of any man or beast for all eternity." I didn't like the sound of this since mind control was one of my least favorite things in the world. "Along with this, she is also known as 'Djamilaofthe dancing blades dance'." Hearing this I mentally asked myself.

"Why do I get the feeling it's not a dance performed on fresh blades of grass like at Dagur and Mala's wedding."

"She is known by this name because her weapon of choice is small blades like your throwing knives which she floats around her body in a ring but can launch with enough speed to make them nothing more than a blur." I didn't like the sound of this. "She is very skilled with these blades in both ranged and close quarter combat and it's been said that she also knows the body well, so she knows what spots to cut in order to inflict the most damage to a person with the blades being able to cut through any form of armor." I nodded.

"So, in other words, never let my guard down around her as she'll use it to target my weak points." Kaamisha nodded. "Who else is there among this fearsome five of genies and what are they capable of?"

"There is also the djinn Alqatilwho is known as 'the great sword king' due to the fact that he always wields a large scimitar with such skill, no one mortal or mystic has been able to match him in skill."

"I get the feeling that it's not an ordinary weapon." She shook her head.

"It can cut through even the toughest metals with ease making it impossible for a person to block it with their own weapons or armor and to make matters worse, a single cut is enough to weaken any mortal as it will drain them of their strength." I didn't like the sound of this.

"And what happens if the blow kills the person." Kaamisha looked at me with a haunted look in her eyes.

"Then the victims' souls are pulled into it and trapped within the sword, increasing its power and that of its master while the bodies are reduced to dust." I recoiled in disgust hearing about such a repulsive thing existing. "Following Alqatilis the jinnAlamiwat alsaayirunwho is known as 'the corpse king' due to his appearance and ability to rot anything he touches with a single touch leaving any human he touches as a corpse that he can control." I rubbed my prosthetic arm remembering how I lost my real arm as Kaamisha looked up. "And then there's the ifrit of the group who is called Nar kabira who is known as 'the lord of flame' due to his ability to manipulate flames of any kind and give them new forms such as those of beasts or warriors and there's little he enjoys more than leaving a mortal as a charred corpse that he can use to decorate his home." I nodded but it was at that moment I noticed my shadow move in a way I did not like and asked.

"By any chance, does this last guy have any abilities connected to shadows?" She looked at me in surprise.

"Indeed, his name is Alzalamand he isa marid who is called 'the master of shadows' who is able to make shadows solid to be used as weapons, abduct people through them, restrain them, trap them in a void of darkness that will suffocate the victim but he mostly travels through them and catch his enemies by surprise before using his claws that are like iron to kill them." Aamin then asked.

"How did you know about Alzalamusing shadows?" I released my starsword and held it up in the way of a clawed hand that was navy blue and sapphire in skin color that just burst from my shadow and came towards my neck and blocked it as I said.

"Just a hunch!" Everyone stared in shock as I looked down at my foe who slowly came out to reveal a horned head. "AlzalamI presume." The figure smirked.

"Nice to see you know who I am." I signaled the girls to get everyone out of the room which they were quick to do so as I glared at the intruder. "Why did you come here?" He raised his body fully out of the shadows.

"Isn't it obvious?" I stood up and glared at him. "We found out about you through some travelers we took in and hearing about your adventures and feared you'd be a threat to us so I decided it was best to deal with you now rather than later which brings us to why I'm here." He extended his claws. "My reason for coming here is to kill you." I got into my battle stance while unfolding my eagle shield. "Now however, I am curious since it is rare for someone to even come close to block my surprise attacks." He stepped back. "Since you gave me a pleasant thrill by blocking my attack, I'll grant you a warning." He then glared. "Get out of Arabia and stay out of the way of me and my allies or we'll force you to watch as we kill those you love." He then sunk into the shadows leaving me alone in the room as I sighed and looked down before growling and gripping the handle of my sword tightly.

"If he thinks I'll run away like a coward and leave the people of this land to die, then he's got another thing coming." I raised my head. "I will stop him and his comrades from destroying Arabia and make sure they go back from where they come from for all eternity." I then turned to the door where everyone had fled out of and sighed. "I better let everyone know what's going on and what I plan to do." With this in mind I made my way towards the door.
