" Are you his school friend?" The nurse, completing her early morning check, looked up at the girl who had shown up before dawn. Her uniform hidden behind the long coat; it was hard to guess if the girl was a classmate of the boy admitted yesterday.
" Nobody except his mom has been here, so I'm guessing you're a close friend." She shifted her eyes from the girl standing by the unconscious patient to the two new items the girl had brought and placed on the table at the corner of the room.
" He is doing great." she added with a soft smile that lasted a second.
" Who's paying for his stay?" Jandi asked a direct question. Her eyes finally shifting to the nurse, she caught the immediate change from a smile to a black face. She didn't need the answer. She already knew the school was covering all the costs.
" Well, we are not allowed to discuss that with random people."
" His mom works as a cleaning staff at a mid-sized hotel; her monthly salary is less than the cost the chiropractor he will have to work with"
" You have a weird way of showing you care" the nurse wasn't even trying to come off as antagonizing, but her words had gotten a reaction from the girl. Her eyes hiding behind the random strands of hair, the girl staring at her was beyond cute with her emotionless face but showing up to visit somebody before 5 am in the morning.
" You're cute," she added with another smile Jandi couldn't understand.
" What's the food for? He is not even awake" with the smile still on her face , the nurse asked, changing both their focus to the neatly wrapped bag Jandi had placed on the table by the corner.
" Is he your friend?" The nurse asked a different question when she didn't get a response.
" aren't you all mandated reporters?"
" Why don't you report this to the police? '' Jandi knew reporting it to useless police was as pointless as it gets, she just wanted to gain control of the conversation the nurse was leading.
" He's 18 so no"
" Our job is to inform his family, and his mom made the choice not to file a police report" the nurse adjusting his new glucose left all the machines she was checking, and headed to the foot of the bed.
" I wonder why the mom did that?" she asked as she picked up the file hanging at the foot of the bed and started writing her morning checkup notes.
" What would you do if that was your son?" Jandi asked, finally finding something that would force the nurses' smiles to disappear. Placing the patient file down, the nurse turned all her attention to Jandi. She needed to figure out the sincerity behind the question before she responded. There was no hint of any emotion displayed on the girl's face. Not even a tiny hint as the nurse just used her presence as the indicator the girl cared about the boy who hadn't had not even one visitor apart from his mom. If showing up before 5 am wasn't enough, the food she had brought along was enough to prove she cared.
" I wouldn't have filed either," the nurse shared her honest response, which Jandi didn't expect.
" The police are useless, '' the nurse added as she started her slow walk towards Jandi.
" The options were a police report or medical bills," she whispered, her eyes hoping the girl would read between the lines. She wasn't disappointed as the girl looked like she already knew the deal.
"The daily stay cost by itself would send me into debt, and I work here"
" The surgery he got last night, that would cost me years to pay off"
" So I would choose free medical bills" her smile returned as she stood a step away from the girl who's whole focus had been on her. She really didn't show any emotions, the nurse got a closer look at the unbothered face of the girl.
" Do you go to the same school?" she asked rather than guessing based on the girl's looks. Her makeup-less face cuddled by her untamed hair, she didn't look like any of the students she would imagine attending that great school. Even the students who are lucky enough to get scholarships were dressed nicely and looked the part. The reputation of the school they represent on their uniforms, even though they always properly presented themselves. The grand school millions could only dream of attending , the nurse could only wonder what type of genius minds it would take to get in with full scholarships.
" You don't like answering questions do you?" she crossed her arms. The girl standing in front of her was interesting.
" Huh," the nurse smiled as she walked to the door steps behind Jandi. She had four other patients to check on before she could even have her breakfast and get ready for morning rounds.
" I would have broken some hands" as she opened the door, she turned back and spoke.
" If he was my son,"
" If I could get near any of them. I would have broken some hand" she added as she got a good look at the hint of emotion displayed on the girl for the first time.
" I know I couldn't even get close to them, but if I were granted my crazy wish, I would be making them choose between left and right before breaking their bones" the anger in the nurse's voice was hidden behind her calm smile.
"That's what his mother said" this one got a reaction out of the girl.
"Bone for bone, for all the ones they broke across his body," she added as she noted how her words were being taken seriously.
" But then she would've ended up in jail for assault, and who would take care of him?" She needs to make sure the girl understands why the mother made the choices she did. She had dismissed Jandi as a teeanger who saw the world as black and white and expected the mother to fight back. The girl was almost done with her teenage years, the nurse had minimized her abilities as non-existence as she tried to make her understand how useless it would have been for the mother to retaliate. Retaliation and fighting back were not just useless, but they would come at a cost.
" she would come out of jail to hospital debts"
" Now, who does that benefit?" she asked, not expecting a response.
" As a mother, she made the right choice for her baby"
" We all know she couldn't even land a slap against them no matter how much she wanted to. Those rich kids are almost untouchable right?" she whispered as she leaned closer to Jandi.
" She said knowing she couldn't even curse at them is what hurts the most" that was the last thing the nurse said as she gave Jandi one more smile and walked out of the room.
The nurse's words repeated in her ears for the five or so minutes she stayed in the room, eyes glued to the body laying on the big bed. The hesitation she had on her way to the hospital was now resolved. The nurse had given her all she needed to hear and much more. Her hands, which had washed his blood off of her body, had been itching since last night. The darkness buried deep down had been begging to see some blood.
"Hey," the number she dialed was picked up on the first ring as she sped up, determined to walk across the grand lobby of the hospital. The 30-minute commute to the grand school was shortened to 15 thanks to the taxi she took. Most of the city was still waking up, there was no traffic to even beat as the taxi dropped her off at the school right when the sun was rising from the east.
" Isn't it too early?" the night shift security at the west wing entrance that hadn't been switched with the day security team remarked as he let her in. All he needed was her school ID, as he didn't glance back at the girl heading to the empty buildings. The hot breakfast he had just warmed up was where his focus was placed as he sipped his first sip of the soup. He has one more hour to go before the day shift securities clock in. Just like him, Jandi had less than an hour before the staff started clocking in. The time she had to use carefully was calculated as she got to her locker and threw all her stuff in. Slammed shut, her next target was the favorite secret place she had hidden some of her favorite tools. Two stairs up and at the back end of the great hallway were the storage rooms for the cleaning staff. The long storage room seemed organized and clear from the front end. It was filled with boxes of napkins nobody had even checked in years. Behind all the boxes, she had found the most convenient and easy-to-access hideout. There were no cameras, and nobody paid any attention to cleaning assigned rooms.
" Good morning" right as she pressed the call, the voice in her earpiece whispered.
" You're two minutes early," he added, forcing her to glance at her watch. As always, he was right. As always, she was ahead of schedule.
" You owe me dinner for a week for this. '' His smile, she could imagine, was ignored as she adjusted the tiny clear earpiece placed in her left ear. Her messy hair was brushed back as it hid the item; nobody could even make out, even if her hair was tied away unless they were standing right in front of her face.
"And laundry," he added as he adjusted his blanket over his legs. Unlike her, the boy she had woken up with her morning call didn't even leave his warm bed as he had pulled his adjustable table to his bed and sat up. Being the lucky one to get the rooftop room, he had access to the beautiful sunlight that was getting ready to warm up the city. He rarely stepped outside the house; the grand window was how he accessed sunlight. Most days, he was woken up by the sunlight they would force into his room by opening his window, but today, he woke up before the sun was even there to bother him.
" Why is it so cold?" he complained, holding his coffee cup to his lips.
" Why do you need this by the way?" he asked for a second, forcing her fingers that were typing on the tiny computer she had turned on.
" I just want to check something," her fingers returned to their quickie typing.
" I thought the school was trashed," he said without thinking. The silence from the other side was all he needed to know that what he said might not have been nice to say to the girl that had sacrificed way more than he could imagine for their common goal. He placed his coffee cup down and sat up.
" You did all you could. We can just follow other leads to find them"
" There are no other leads" her response was short but was enough to let him know she was hurt by what he had said.
" Passcode to pair," she returned her focus back to the task at hand. Now is not the time to feel any way about this hellhole she had wasted years in.
" Just texted you," his response shifted her eyes to the two phones by her side. The Nokia one just turned one was what was flipped as she copied the 16-digit code he texted her.
" At least you get a highschool certificate out of the great school" his always cheerful mode was a complete contrast to hers always worked in cheering her up even in the tensest moments. Only tasked with being with her virtually, the boy they annoying call Ctrl Alt knew the best he could at times is just be cheerful and force a smile out of her even in the darkest moments.
" If i were you, I would accept the offer to attend the university"
" don't they offer all their students admission to the university?" he added as he placed his coffee down and his quick fingers started typing on one of the three keyboards in front of him.
" I got a camera. The hallway" His right hand automatic with his mouse had switched the live view of the hallway popping on his computer screen to the big screen mounted on the wall in front.
" I got all 11. I just need the stairs' ' The school layout he had memorized, he knew every camera across the fourth floor she needed to get him access to for him to help her with why she had woken him up this early.
The security system that took him months to break, it was by the end of month one that he completed bugging the security system that recorded all the footage from the cameras placed across the grand school. It took another month or so to hack into the gate security camera system. That one required more work as it had taken a midnight mission which required slipping two security systems diarrhea medication to give them the 45 minute window he needed to bug their system with it. The tiny drive that was still placed in between the line of wires that powered their monitor it took them the whole 45 minutes and 3 people to complete that one.
" I got it. One of the kitchen staff is in the hallway and might be coming your way" he gave her the warning as she closed the laptop. The flash she had emptied was thrown into the fake lunch bag that carried all the tools she needed to execute their tiny plan. The organized lunchbox had everything she needed including the most expensive and fascinating item he had designed, the tiny camera attached to the hairpin. She didn't need it for today.
" He is heading to the elevator. You're good" The small laptop was placed in the lunch bag as she placed everything else back into the black metal box she covered with the old blanket, then into the old box. The fake spider webs were returned back to the box that carried it all as she placed all the boxes back and headed to the door. The door locked behind her, she placed the napkin boxes that were resting against it, to hide it away. The organized supply room she was in was quickly scanned as she rested her eyes at the line of boxes of gloves. Lucky for her there was an opened xs box, in which she pulled two gloves. Although she already had clear gloves, she knew to always have a back up.
" Waiting for you," she whispered, adjusting her uniform.
" You are clear to go" he gave her the go. The door she opened introduced her back into the empty hallway of the back corner of the fourth floor.
" There you are" the girl he rarely saw early in the morning, it was cute to see her in her school uniform.
"To be honest. The backup uniform looks better than the main one" he added as he took a sip of his coffee which hid away his smile. The deadly dangerous girl he considered his sister was only cute in certain settings, and her school uniform was one. In most settings, she looked intimidating and a bit scary. Which was a bit different than how she acted when she was around them; around the house. The moment she steps into the outside world, it is like a switch gets turned on. She completely changes and shuts down. Turning into a machine programmed just to complete tasks. He still can't understand how the girl the outside world sees is the one that annoys him once hidden behind their house walls.
" You should keep this one at least for memory"
" Why would I want to remember this place?" he got her first sentence of the day as he caught how her eyes had lifted up, looking at the camera. She was looking at him.
" Because you were a student. It's a memory, whether good or bad"
" How much coffee have you had already? She asked . The only reason he would be this cheerful this early in the morning was because of coffee.
" You seriously need to learn how to see the grass half full"
" Easy to say from your warm blanket and hiding behind screens" she attacked back as she zoomed her eyes on the camera, right at him.
The silence between them stayed until she got to the room she was planning on breaking into.
" You're clear" as she stood by the door, he gave her the green light after checking all the cameras. Nobody was even heading to the fourth floor, let alone the hidden corner she was in. The security room was empty as she walked into the empty room. The door at the right side was her goal. The password they haven't changed was entered as she walked into the bigger room where the massive hard drive storage of the camera was placed.
" It's the third from the bottom on the left end" he directed her to the right storage for the cameras she was looking for. Her gloved hands were quick as they pugged the drive in her hand along with her computer to the hard drive.
" I need 5 minutes. '' He placed his coffee down as she started his favorite part of his job. The laptop and drive were placed on her lap as she sat on the floor and waited.
" Is Bom up ?" she asked.
" No. He was up late fixing the bikes"
" Don't tell him about this. I will tell him," she requested. His quickly typing finger she could hear; she waited for him to ask why, but he didn't ask.
" Do I ever ask? My job is just to stay being the screen" he used her own words to attack back.
" I'm sure you two will figure it all out," he added another arrow aimed right at her.
"That's why he is your favorite right?" before she said anything to protest the accusation he turned his music on. It was the same 3 songs he listened to when he needed to focus. She swallowed her words, giving him the silence he would have asked from her if she had said anything.
" It's your lucky day," he whispered earlier than she expected. He had done it in under 2 minutes.
" They only save them for a month so if you're looking for older files, they are not there" he added as the files started appearing on her computer.
" What are we looking for?" he asked as the hundred of files were loading in front of him.
"The Green Building Cafeteria videos from yesterday," her computer displaying the files he was editing though she waited in astonishment. It still amazes her how he does all of this. The genius hidden in the roof of their house was the one with a mind she couldn't even be jealous of.
" Around 1 pm" she narrowed it down to when Woobin dragged the blood covered body into the cafeteria.
"Let's see what happened ?" He opened the file and started fast forwarding it to around 1 pm.
" Stop it right there," she commanded and got a quick response as the video paused.
"oh, is that? " he couldn't even finish his question as he transferred the video to the big screen to get a better view and got his answer.
" Can you follow them back ?' she asked .
" There's a camera in the hallway that could pick them up from the hallway" she asked and he finally understood what they were doing this early in the morning.
" The one by the elevator has them coming from the east end at 12:49" he gave her the clue she needed as she closed her eyes and started making out the cafeteria floor plan.
"It definitely to the men's room"
" No. They came from the stairs by the weird famous painting you said cost millions``His hands were quick as they switched from camera to camera and played back where the boys holding the blood covered body came from. While she left that for him, her visual mind was calculating all the hideout places on the floor to find where they could have possibly beaten the boy.
" It's not on this floor could you go to the second floor"
" Find the two cameras from the east and west hallway to the main elevator" The second her commands left her lips , his fingers responded without even a question or hesitation. She was good at what she did.
" probably around 12:46"
" Got them."
" They got in the elevator at 12:45"
" huh" she crossed her arms as she watched the video playing backwards.
" Seems like they are heading to the gym"
" No it's the old music room" the moment they made a turn she immediately recalled the room she was slapped in.
" The room at the back end. It's soundproofed and behind the gym" she added as he sped up the speed of the video. He switched to the camera in front of the Gym to catch the boys leaving the old music room with the bloody body at 12: 42.
" That is correct" he sped up the rewind. He knew she probably wanted to find out when they got in. She did but more than that she was concerned with the exact people that were in the room.
" So it seems like these two took the boy in at 12: 29" he paused the video when the poor boy was taken into the room. The two boys standing by each side of him were very familiar faces as they were Woobin's famous minions. They had been accompanying the mini leader that had been annoying her last week. As always the three moved as a group as he showed up 2 minutes later with the bat in his hands.
" Fast forward it" she asked as she focused to see at what time Woobin himself arrived. She might not admit it but she was hoping he would show up the minute right after the boy with the bat showed up but no. The video went on for a whole ten minutes before Woobin showed up. Woobin followed by Yijeong and two other of his minions walked into the room at 12: 40 and they were out with the blood body at 12:42.
' What next?' he asked as he took in the silence that followed the video he paused as the boys walked out with the bloody body. The one who walked in with the bat was still holding the bat , now covered in blood. While Woobin and the two took the body to the elevator. He and the other two, who have been harassing her, stayed in the room for another 10 minutes. They walked out the room with a handful of napkins and bloody towels in their hands. The boy still holding the bat was covered in blood and that was all she needed to see.
" Seems like these three were the ones that did the work and the clean up" he brought his coffee up as he saw the three walk into the gym. There was no camera in the small gym. Only the main gym in the new wellness center had cameras.
" Huh" she took a deep breath. The person she wanted to walk out of the room covered in blood wasn't the one she had expected it to be. Although he was still to blame, Woobin wasn't the main person responsible for the line of fractures across the body she had carried across the hallway yesterday. The three boys that had been barrasing her were the ones. If not angered by the fact that it wasn't Woobin, she would have been happy about finding a justifiable reason and the only permission she needed to ruin their day.
Bone for bone, for all the ones they broke across his body - she recalled the nurse's words about what the mother had wished she could do
" What's the plan?" he asked. If she was doing all of this, he knew it was going to be bad for the boys.. If this girl wasted a second finding proof, she had already made up her mind about what she was going to do.
" I am going to have a nice conversation with them," she whispered as she stood up. That was all she needed to know the three boys had no idea what was waiting for them.
" Do you need any of us?" as he started closing the files, he asked.
" For them, no" he imagined her face as he heard her smirk.
" This is snack time conversation" she shut down the laptop and started unplugging all the wires she had connected to the hard drive.
" I will save all the videos from this before they delete it today" he gave himself a task she didn't ask for.
" I am sure they will swap out all the recording today"
" Leave that one" he asked before she unplugged the red flashdrive looking one.
" I will go through all the files since I don't have anything to do. '' In minutes she had placed everything in the lunch bag and left the password protected room.
" You're clear" he whispered as she opened the security room door and walked into the empty hallway.
" You look angry. '' She didn't respond but just sent her eyes immediately up to the camera in front. The gloves she quickly took off were sent to her pocket.
" Don't start a mess," he added.
" Do what you have to do but don't erupt it all until we agree it's a done deal with the school" he had the same message as the voice in her head that was holding her back from erupting and causing total chaos.
" I am just having a talk with them" the smirk on her face was cuter than her determined walk across the hallway.
" I can't wait to hear all about it at dinner"
" You are cooking" his whole focus was shifted to dinner for the next couple of minutes he was at her ear before they said their byes and the earpiece was placed back into its charging box. Everything she had carried in the lunch bag was placed back into the black box hiding everything else.
" Huh" she had taken her chance as she took a deep breath and opened the cleaning supply room to find nobody passing by the door to see her walk out. With only her phone in hand, she quickened her steps to the stairs. The line she was going to cross will demand some thinking over and she needs to be in her favorite place to let her think as logically and objectively as she can. But before that she had to place herself in the situation as she followed their every step into the old music room that for some reason had a squeaky clean floor. Taking steps to stand in the middle of the clean floor she closed her eyes to higheten the work her nose was being tasked with. The smell of bleach and chemicals was still present. The smile that escaped her lips was involuntary as her fingers formed into a fist. Her body that had been asking for a release had found the perfect one for the frustration and anger she had been bottling up since all their work at this school had come to dead ends
The question and hesitation wasn't even about whether she was going to do it or not. It was about how far she was going to take it. Her uniform changed to her swimming outfit, her mind was busy weighing all the options as she headed to the swimming pool. The quiet old swimming pool was beyond dead silent as it welcomed her steps. Fifteen minutes in the warm water was followed by a quick shower and she headed back to the garden leading to the Green Building waiting for her.
Bone for bone, for all the ones they broke across his body. - was the resolution she came to as she promised herself not to do any more or less. That was as low as her compassion and anger would go. That was what the mother wanted too. If she can't fullfile her own revenge, she will do her best to avenge others. Maybe that was how she could find a reason to live. The boy she carried across the hallway, for whatever reason, had pulled at her frustrated heart that was looking for an excuse.
Bone for bone - was all she repeated as she headed back to the building.
Her neck down, slouched shoulder look was nowhere to be seen as her eyes looking straight ahead, she started passing by the students who had given her a glance or two. Her blood-covered body was still a fresh memory for most. Unlike they expected, her eyes didn't look away from any of them. She wasn't even looking at them. She was just looking at where she was headed, completely ignoring all the puzzled eyes trying to figure out where on earth the girl had gotten the confidence to walk like this. Her arms placed in her pocket, the smirk on her face, the rhythmic steps she was taking ... even the students who weren't in her class were able to pick up on the change the escort girl had on today. Thankfully her classmates had ignored her completely as they focused on the mess from yesterday they haven't finished gossiping about.
Her book at hand she was completely lost in the fictional world to even make out the utter shock that took the class as the student president walked into the classroom.
" Here you are?" The familiar voice finally pulled her back to reality as she slowly glanced up from her book. Hands in his pocket, Jihoo was standing right by her desk. His smiling eyes and lips switched from her to the words scribbled on her desk.
" This is childish" he turned around and spoke out loud at her classmates who were still shocked that he was standing by the girl, let alone talking to her.
" Can we talk? '' He returned his eye back to the girl, just like her classmates, unable to process that he was standing right there talking to her. She needed a second to process it all.
" It's important," he added, leaning left to catch the title of her book. She reads a lot, he adds the small facts to the list of things he knows about the girl. The book she slowly closed was placed on her desk as she stood up.
" Let's go" he led the way. Her eyes couldn't even lift away from the confusing figure, she was busy trying to come up with a reason why he would want to talk to her. Not just wants to talk to her but why would he come down to get her. He could just send one of the minions that follow the F4 like religious figures.
What does he want?
Was her plan about to be ruined before she even did anything?
Did they already find out what she was up to?
What does he want?
The line of questions she was processing quickly shifted to exit strategies. The pocket knife in her jacket pocket was held tightly by her right hand she sent to her pocket. The knife alwayse by her thigh was also there. If it comes down to it and she had to actually cause hell, her mind was quick as it mapped out the direction to the hidden place burying her favorite weapons. Her phone in her pocket had only one number saved and she only had to dial it once to be rescued. Every possible scenario of her not making it out of this school was playing in her mind as she followed him to the wall to wall window by the corner. The two students sitting by the sofas were the only two who could witness anything as she started questioning what was going on. This doesn't look like a place to make her do anything. Where were the other F4? Where are the minions?
Does he really just want to talk? She returned her eyes to the boy now standing by the window. She took the last three steps that separated them and stood next to him. As always she had left a gap between them that made him aware of how much she is mindful of personal space.
" I need to know what you're going to do about yesterday?" his eyes turning from the garden in full view to her, he asked.
" Do they already know what she wants to do?" The voice in her mind was causing total confusion as her black face stayed on him. Unlike her face, her questioning eyes weren't able to hide their emotions.
" You are a key witness. You carried the body to the nurse" he answered the questions her eyes were asking him.
" I need to make sure we are all on the same page. '' The smile on his face had instantly turned ugly; for the first time, it wasn't that charming. The disappointment she felt came out of a place she wasn't even aware of as she stood side by side with the boy who for some reason she expected better from. Her eyes before they turned to the garden had made out the school logo and student president tag on his uniform. Of course, the student president would be out to protect the school reputation. He was also part of the F4 after all. He will do everything to protect his friend from anything. No matter how nice he acted after the fact, here he was trying to do damage control early in the morning. She couldn't help but let the small smile escape her lips. She was ashamed of herself that she even gave him the tiny benefit of the doubt and thought for a second he might be a good one. She needed to remember that he was part of F4.
" The story has to be solid in case we " , his words faded as she turned her face to him. The smile across her lips had forced a glimpse into the dimple on the right of her cheek now in clear view. Her eyes turning their gaze his way had in an instant turned soft as he noticed the movement across her face with the smile that was getting slightly bigger. His eyes weren't under his control as whatever had taken over had bound them to its will and lowered them down to her lips that slightly opened up. The tip of her tongue had slipped by her lower lip. Her tongue had brushed against her lower lip and it pulled in for her to bite and hold her smile in. Leaving him to his own dismay, her face turned to the window.
" I mean " his brain needed a second to gather itself as the sentence he formed couldn't even reach his lips.
" me and you were in the nurse room" Adjusting his tie he started talking.
" We were in a way witnesses . In case anybody asks questions we should be " for the second time in under a minute he was silenced by the littles hint of emotion on her face that turned to him again. Her smile had disappeared in no time as her brown eyes zoomed on his. The gripping look on her face demanded all his attention and silence, which he provided without hesitation or even a question.
" Huh" the last breath he took in was accompanied by his bewildered eyes that followed her brown eye that started scanning him from the student president tag all the way to his neatly brushed hair. He wasn't provided enough time to even process that as she took the step that separated their personal spaces. The change in her gaze was beyond scary as the veil she put on was lowered to show him the real person hiding behind the blank face. An ugly mix of disgust, anger, hatred and every curse word known to man was staring right at him as she gave him a second to take it all in silence. She needs to make sure he understands the volcano she will erupt if he says one more thing. Her folded arms holding back her hands that were itching to grab his head and smash it against the thick wall he was urge to snatch the student president tag and suffocate him with it was silenced with all the power she had left. He should be thankful to the reminder she had received early in the morning she had held her back from attacking him and destroying everything. She knew there was no coming back from attacking a member of the F4. Not just a member of F4 but the student president.
Do what you have to do but don't erupt it all until we agree it's a done deal with the school - Ctrl Alt S voice echoed in her ears as it simmered down the darkness that was tempting her patience. Her body that entered his personal space was tilted closer as she brought her face closer. His lack of reaction to lean back, away from her, wasn't a choice but she had admired it as such. His baffled mind had lost control to make sensible choices since he witnessed her smile. Her folded hands were inches away from his chest as her fiery eyes had forced him to stay on them. As though it was on command his eyes lowered to her lips he saw part up.
" Fuck off" his ears which weren't expecting to even be useful for this interaction were blessed with what will become his favorite cursing he had ever received. His utter shock at the soft voice was not even comparable to the anger and attitude she had delivered them with that had made the cursing he received something he would love to see again. Frozen in time, he didn't even have a response as he took in her gaze that stayed on him for a second before she started her walk back in the same direction they came from.
His stunned brain needed a confirmation and turned to the other two people sitting by the sofa for confirmation of what happened. Busy with their phones, they were in their own world as his eyes returned to the girl walking away.
The smile that escaped his lips were from the total shock as his hand slipped out his pocket folded in amazement. His body leaning against the tall window, he focused his stunned eyes on the figure that had just given him something to think about for days. The small figure he had led here looked beyond cool. With every step she took away, he couldn't but replay her words. He doesn't even remember what they were talking about as he wasn't even able to hide how fascinated and captured he was by what two words had done to him. The curse words his friend threw around like nothing, he knew exactly why it had done this to him coming from the girl he had thought was mute. It wasn't just the shock of finding out she wasn't mute. It was the way the words had slipped away from her lips, the sound of her voice, the anger bruning in her eyes. It was her body that had entered his personal space, it was the how dare you attitude her whole body had. It was the don't mess with me aura her small body had as she's wlaksing away. Her tiny body that barely reached his shoulder looked beyond able to execute what the look in her eyes had promised to do so if he bothers her again. Her commanding strides across the hallway were beyond effective in making sure he fully understood what she said.
Those two words were a full sentence. A full paragraph of warnings to not bother the girl.
The anger in her hands was relieved thanks to the ice-cold water she submerged them under in the girl bathroom before she headed back to her class. She expected something to happen to her for daring to curse at him. He was still part of F4 after all . There was no way he was going to let her, out of all people, get away with cursing at him. The three minions as though it was their routine had walked into her classroom to the cheer and delight of her classmates. They were all waiting when the girl was going to receive her punishment for daring to go against them and help the boy.
" Lunch time, our usual place" the leader whispered in her ear. His hands holding the blood covered bat replying in her eyes, she turned her eyes away from him to her desk. The devil that was about to jump out of her was ready to order her right hand to pull the cold knife by her thigh and slash his face that was close to her ears.
" Thank you" she thanked them internally as they had taken one task away from her. She didn't even have to look for them or find an excuse. They had given her the reason, the place, and time. All she had to do was be there and she couldn't wait for the lunch bell to ring.
First out of her room , she headed to her gym locker. The energy drink helped her swallow the energy bar she was munching on, she focused on her uniform she was taking off. Her bra was shifted to a sports one. The muscle pain revolver that was on her back was removed before she slid her long sleeves shirt on. The tight shirt was perfect on how it curved and extenuated her body. It was matched with the legging she put on. The black fabric made out of some of the hardest fabrics was perfect for protecting her skin against any shaped objects that might be used against her. Leaving her neck, hands, and feet only the black fabric had wrapped the rest of her body. Her uniform was placed back on but not before all the tools she needed were placed in the legging pockets. Her black Nike socks were matched to the black sneakers she pulled out of her locker.
The music playing in her ears was setting the mood as a smile escaped her lips while she sent her eyes to the mirror in her locker. Could today be any perfect? She questioned as she used her hands to brush all her hair into a bun. Her long bangs were brushed to the side and clipped back. Her necklaces, the only jewelry she wore removed from her neck, were placed in the tiny jewelry box. Sitting in the dark room, she had forced her mind to stay clear from thoughts and just enjoy the music playing in her ears as she enjoyed her energy bars. She had some minutes before she had to head to the place.
The random look she was getting here and there was ignored as her mind was on a different space. The figures walking around her were like imaginary figures as she matched her steps to the beat drumming in her ears. Her whole face in full view, some had glanced her way, startled by what she looked like. The black legging that was normal for girls to wear under uniforms hadn't surprised anybody as much as the confidence in her steps that demanded they step out of her way. Whether it was because they found her scary or disgusting, the students had in fact walked out of her way as she didn't even bother to step away from the direction she was headed.
" She looks beyond scary" was the most she got out of the students who had no idea what type of drama they would be blessed with today. The so-called mute girl being the cause of what was about to happen wasn't something any of the students would believe even if they saw it. They would believe it even with proof let alone suspect it. The two people who would buy it were finally in her presence as Junpyo, Jihoo, and Yijeong turned left and entered the hallway from the other side.
Her eyes had made them out from all the students walking in front of them. The F4 member she wanted, Woobin, wasn't here today. To be honest, it was better he wasn't here. What he will get has to be special. She had to be more calculating with him. It was advantageous to her that he wasn't here today and had left his minions for her. Her small smile at the fact was only picked by the boy she had cursed hours ago. The baffled and amazed look on his face had no impact on the girl that would usually look down by now. Her hair in a bun, and her un-weathering eyes let alone hide, were in full view as she kept them on him.
Bold. She was beyond Bold and Jihoo had completely left the conversation Yijeong was leading as his attention was on the girl that had told him to 'fuck off'. The smile that escaped his lips was involuntary as he scanned her up and down. He can't help it. Everything about this girl was fascinating and had his attention. His admiration for her boldness in seconds would reach a new high as he saw her eyes shift from him to Junpyo on the other side. People try him sometimes, but even the bravest ones would never dare his best friend. Cursing at him was one thing, but trying it on his best friend was something else. She was bold. He gave her that. She was beyond bold. His eyes that turned to Junpyo, had noticed his best friend walking with his head held down. Hands in his pocket JunPyo was for once listening to what Yijeong was talking about as he kept his eyes on the floor.
The look on her face that slightly shifted could have been the only clue he needed to know when his friend had finnlay looked up and noticed the girl looking at them. Jihoo was in his own world, battling his own questions about who this girl was for any of that. Her eyes from him had immediately shifted to the dark one that made her out of the students walking his way clear, bringing the girl that was stapes away from them in full view. Hands in his pocket, he looked as dark as always, thanks to his all black outfit. The only difference was his loosely tied hair. The few standards of hair next to his ears were the only ones left as his face was finally in full view, just like hers. That was the first thing they noticed about each other; their dark hair tied back. His eyes had switched to tracing the black legging she had on and finally the new pair of shoes. The black shoes she had on were new. As his eyes turned back to her, she switched her eyes away from the three to the exit she was heading to. Although her body registered the feelings, both men were ignored as she walked past them. Jihoo was the only one who glanced back to get one last look at the girl heading away.
Erasing what just happened, she sent her mind to focus on her task as she kicked her steps down the stairs. She had 10 minutes to reach the old art room they had asked her to come to . Like last time she was the first one there. It gave her the time to scan the whole room and find anything that could be used. Considering it was an art room, there were many things that could be used as a weapon.
" How is she always early? '' The laughing voice disturbed her hands that were boxing all the pain brushes.
" told you she is mental '' the other one added as she took a deep breath before turning around.
" I heard you helped him and took him to the nurse" the one she was waiting for walked in last. She had caught his hands that locked the door. Her smile was kept inside as she knew he would regret that choice minutes later.
" how thoughtful of you"
"Birds of a feather I guess",
"Maybe he's her boyfriend," they went on as the earphone she unlogged from her phone was placed in her right hand while she placed her phone down on the table. Their fighting skills she can't wait to test, she couldn't even estimate how long this would take.
" I never liked you. I don't know why" the leader whispered to her face as he took the steps that separated them and stood right in front of her.
" And now you go ahead and do something to piss me off" he went on while she was busy analyzing his body. He was taller and definitely weighs more than her so she has to be smart about her moves. There were three of them too.
" Are you listening to me? '' His right hand, out of nowhere, grabbed her chin and forced her face up. The smile that left her lips was involuntary. Touching her was an offense he couldn't come back from even if he begged.
" What the fuck are you smiling at" he used his left hand to slap her face his right hand was holding still. The pain spreading across her face was waking up her body as the red blood started flowing.
" Who the fuck do you think you are?" he added as he ignored his handprint on her cheek and waited for her black eyes he was now used to returning to him but, what returned was something else. Her horrifying eyes leaving him stunned was only the starting point.
" Be fucking carefull" her smirking lips whispered as her spine curling eyes focused on his stunned ones. The utter shock at her voice was what left all three frozen before they even registered what she had said.
"She could talk"
" What did you just say?" still stunned by what he heard, he asked but wasn't provided an answer as his right hand was pushed away from her face. Her leather-gloved hands he felt on his hand should have let him know to be alarmed about what was happening, but his ego was too big to accept that she had just cursed at him.
" YAAAAAAA" he turned his shocked eyes to the boys behind him, standing just as stunned. She could talk. This girl could not only talk but had just cursed at them.
" So you could talk" his annoyed and battled eyes returned to her.
" Who is this bitc" his right hand he sent her way was grabbed before it even got close. She gave him a second to take in the moment before her left hand was added; grabbing him by the elbow and using both hands to twist his arm behind his back.
"AWWWW" his loud scream was nothing compared to the complete shock of the boys whose eyes were popping out of their socket. In utter shock ,they just stood there witnessing her hands that held his arm move in sync as she twisted with all the force of her upper body. His loud scream was nothing compared to the sound his body made as his right arm twisted, sending him crying on the floor.
" YOU BITCH" his crying was mixed in with loud screams as she took the step between her and the body on the floor. While he used all his energy to tolerate the pain coming from his right arm, he could even feel her first kick as her right leg aimed right at his lips that had been whispering at her ears. The blood spat out from his lips wasn't even registered as her right leg landed another, immediately after. His head that was swung to the other side landing against the floor didn't even have a fraction of a second to send the pain signals before the third kick came from her left leg. Sent with the force of her whole body, the impactful last kick had forced the gush of blood out of his lips, accompanied by his tooth she had broken. That was when the other two were finnlay awakened to what was happening and rushed her away. Their movement caught in an instant, she waited for the punch that was coming at her. The embarrassing speed of their punches was beyond hilarious as she duked the one on the right. Her bent body was at the right height as she sent her first punch right at his stomach. While her left leg kicked the other one's knee, tripping him down. Not even aiming to kill, she wasn't even trying that hard as she made out how even one punch had them crying. While his wobbly body headed to the floor, the one holding his stomach was her target as her right leg aimed for his face and sent him flying backwards. Before he fixed his stance, her left hand grabbed his hair and pulled him down to her knee she was lifting aimed right at his face.
With all three on the floor, she took her first breath. That was all under 30 seconds. She stood in the middle giving them the seconds they needed to even realize what had just happened.
"THIS BITCH"
" YOU'RE GOING TO LEARN TODAY" spitting the blood from his lips he pulled out a pocket knife.
" I guess you're first," she whispered as she waited for him to lunge at her. The other one standing up, she noticed his hands that were sent to his pockets as well. Her earphone in her right hand came in handy as she used it as a whip against his face. The red line across his face , he didn't know where it came from as his hands were sent to his face leaving his stomach open for her left leg that landed a kick. The knife he pulled out was kicked out of his hand and to the corner.
" I AM GOING TO KILL" the leader who had lost a tooth started standing up. Her favorite subject, she left the other one to focus on him. She had taken a step back to land another kick which she was surprised to see he avoided, but his left hand he sent to punch her was beyond slow as it was ducked, and she sent her kick to his groin, she needed to hear louder cries from him which she instantly got. While distracted by him one had been lucky to get into her personal space. The moment he grabbed her back a new level was unlocked as she twisted out of his grip and swiftly was standing behind him. One kick and she had sent him face first to the wall in front. Her flight and fight mode activated the moment he grabbed her; she was now at a different speed with her kicks as she landed another against him. The three bodies fighting all the pain their body was processing were quickly scanned as she knew she had them under her mercy in under a minute and half.
" Bone for bone" she whispered as she headed to the one closer to her.
" Left or right" she asked him as she pulled his head up by his hair. The brown strands of hair she grabbed were pulling his skin as she pulled him closer to the right angle.
" FUCK YOU" he shouted.
" Left or right" she asked again as she grabbed his left hand. She shouldn't be merciful but it was something she couldn't shut down no matter how much she tried. He will need his right hand to wipe his tears while he cries himself to sleep while dreaming about today.
" FUC.." his loud curse was silenced by her right hand that sent his face to land against the tall wooden pole used to hold canvas. The broken nose he was screaming about was ignored as her focus was shifted to his left hand he held up. One push and his hand was twisted back towards his arm, his loud scream heard across the hallway was useless as the empty building had masked it all from the nearest person to this building who was across the garden. His left hand wasn't enough, his fingers were her next target. The boy's left hand had broken with the bat, she was just returning the favor as she walked to the second one and asked him the same question.
" Left or right," she whispered.
" Stop Stop " he was the sensible one that started asking for a pause which he wasn't provided as she landed a punch at his nose. The blood gushing out wasn't her problem as she grabbed his left hand and sent him screaming with even the tiniest twist of his middle finger. Their cries were childish. Very childish for boys who do this on the daily. How are they this bad at fighting?
At this point, it was even embarrassing for her to have stretched her body. How are they so bad at this? Was it all just a bluff? Were they really just spoiled brats who did this for fun?
They aren't even worth it - the logical voice in her mind had always warned her not to waste her time on childish games and here she was proving to herself how beneath her all this was.
Her legs took her to her favorite one as her right leg stepped on his fingers. When he started screaming, she was reminded why she chose to do this. The sensation that took over her heart as she saw blood, that was why she was here. They needed to learn a lesson. No matter how small, they need a was their warning lesson and her body that has been asking for blood was also provided a release.
" let's have some fun" as she leaned closer to his face and whispered that was when the anger boiling in his body was starting to register some fear. His hair grabbed by her right hand, he couldn't even use his broken right arm or his left hand she had stepped on to protest as he was dragged to the pole which she smashed right at his nose. That was three broken noses for the one they caused. His legs that aimed to kick her were stopped by her knees. Unable to even pick which pain to process he wasn't ready for his jacket she pulled from his back and twisted to the front to use it as a straight jacket.
"This must be so embarrassing" she whispered in his ears as she tied the arms of his jacket at the back. Her hands were quickly sent to his belt she pulled out. One of the boys standing up and picking the knife was her target as she wrapped the belt up and headed to face him.
"huh" sending the belt over her shoulder she waited for him to come at her. She really was giving them all the space and time to attack back but these boys had not even one clue about fighting. If they did, her stance by itself will let them know she was well trained to do this anytime, anyplace. His right hand holding the knife was dunked as she sent the leather belt to his neck followed by his hand. Maybe she needs to add whips to her tools cus it felt beyond good to use them. The knife dropped to the floor and was again kicked to the corner. If only they knew she had kicked it away to save them from her using it. Because if she did, she would be too tempted to leave marks across their faces. The belt was beyond handy as she sent it to the leg of the boy that had grabbed the broom and was coming for her. The belt wrapping at his heel was pulled as she sent him flying down to the merciless floor.
The visible marks they left on the boy were returned to them by the leather belt that was coming at their bodies. All she was doing was returning the favor. The leader was the main one who needed visible marks as she pulled his pants away and used them to tie his legs. The leather belt her right hand lifted and up, his eyes were now filled with all types of pain and anger as he wasn't even given milliseconds between each time his own belt landed against his unclothed thighs. That was the beginning of it all as she spent the next couple of minutes returning every punch and kick they landed against the boy. Every bone she read on his file was returned as she used the art tools around to return the favor. She came short as she had saved a few for their leader that wasn't here today. She had to have the best for Woobin.
The memories she wanted to leave across their body were only theirs to experience if they chose to keep it a secret. But if they wanted to share the needed proof that it was her, she stood in the middle of the room with her phone in hand. Based on her assessment of their behaviors, a bunch of photos to embarrass them with will be enough to silence them from whispering to anybody she did this to them but she was wrong she didn't even need a photo. Their egos were wilder than her imagination as they would never dare tell anybody what one girl had done to them in broad daylight. The two conscious bodies covered in blood were her main target as she walked closer and took closer shots of their faces. Their uniforms she had stripped off to add to the insult, even that by itself would have been embarrassing enough to zip their lips.
Her slow steps were aimed at the leader, his face covered by his dress shirt she had wrapped his mouth shut with. The anger still in his eyes was heartwarming as she leaned closer to his body. Her slender fingers were sent to brush his hair away from his bloody face she started scanning. His broken nose, the dark circle forming around his right eye she had punched, his whole distorted face...she took her time scanning it all.
" this is your warning" she leaned even closer and whispered. Her bloodcurdling eyes were beyond direct with her command.
" touch one of them again and I won't be so nice next time" she added as she patted his hair. She knew exactly how to keep his blood burning as she patted his head like a pet.
The tiny cold sensation her heart felt as she started walking to the door, leaving them behind was had never ever had fought a fight this easy. Not even when she was training. She has finally crossed the line and done something her hands have been itching to do for was in a new state of mind as she took off the gloves that were sent to her pocket and she headed to the stairs. There was no going back now. Whatever those boys decided to do, the ball was on their court. Forget sacred, she wasn't even remotely worried about them as she focused her attention on Woobin and how he would receive his punishment.
Her hands placed in her pocket, eyes looking straight ahead, the girl had a different type of aura about her as she joined the student body in the Green building. She needs a cold drink to be the icing on her happy mode. The cafeteria she heeded to was filled as she focused on the vending machine at the corner. A single note from her pocket was entered and she chose the cold apple juice box. The cold drink was perfect as it went down her stomach. She was ready to end the microscopic joy she felt as she headed to her class and her book.
The three blood covered bodies that have failed for their friends were carried out of the building with the help of their friends. The two demanding to be sent to the nurses office were silenced by the leaders who couldn't even swallow what had just happened.
"OMMO" the first few girls to make out the buddies covered with towels and jackets walking across the garden had screamed as they made out the three that looked like they had the dog shit beat out of them. Woobin's minions that were known for terrorizing the school, somebody had finally done and beaten them down. The fact that the boys that were considered untouchable were covered in blood was shocking to every student that saw them.
" fukin stop taking pictures' ' he tried screaming but all that came out was a whisper. His friends were the ones that shouted at the girls taking pictures to start the fiery news that will take over the campus. The rumor was beyond fast as it started spreading across the building they walked into. The towels were tied across their lower body exposing their naked legs, and the students across the hallway were left beyond stunned as they made out the three boys had the dog shit beat out of them and wear stropped down, walking across the hallway.
" I don't care, I am going to the nurses office" the one retaliated as the other minions also started adding their two cents about heading to the nurses they knew who wouldn't ask any questions.
"Hyong. You need some ointment on the burns' ' the boy that pointed at the belt marks only received a death stare from his Hyung he was holding up.
" I am just saying" he whispered as he looked at the other ones. He wasn't the only one that was beyond stunned by what had happened in that room and was dying to ask. Their hyong who had seconds before he blew up at them, all knew not to even dare ask.
" Let's just go to the nurse," the one holding him up asked nicely. It took some minutes to convince him to take them to the nurse's office. The scholarship kids who had heard the news were the ones running with full smiles to the hallway. Everybody else was in total disbelief and shock. The full joy they experienced, only the scholarship kids were the ones that didn't even care who and how as they stood eyes smiling at the boys.
" did they mess with F4"
" they had to, who else would dare"
" look at his nose, my God. '' Even the other kids couldn't help but let out small smiles as they made out the napkin-stuffed broken nose of the boys that used to walk around the hallway with their noses up, looking down at everybody. All because Woobin had their back.
" to be honest they deserved it"
" they were always so rude" the students were quick as they started justifying while they didn't feel bad about what they were witnessing. As the boys entered the nurse's office, away from everybody's view the rumor had soared like a wildfire even reaching her as her ears couldn't help but make out the chatter of her classmates
"They were stripped naked " the gossip reaching a new high was spreading across the class. The excitement of her classmates was ignored as she kept her eyes on her book.
" I told you he was getting too cocky'
" I am pretty sure the F4 did this to him'
" do you think it was Junpyo Opaa"
" he never did anything. Do you think it could be him cus nobody had done this before"
" omg if it is him, they really must have done something" the words were ignored as she sent her eyes to the two scholarship kids that walked in through the back door. The smiles across their faces. That was all she needed to see. She was trained not to let others' emotions have any impact on her but their happy smiles, and for once carefree laughs, she couldn't resist. She could only imagine how the boy she did it for would have felt if he had witnessed it.
"Oh you're smiling now"
" The F4 is going to come for you too" her classmates had tried to wipe the smile away from the two boys but it had failed as the boys had just hidden their smiles. Her eyes before they returned to her books had caught one who glanced her way. The only scholarship girl in his class, he was wondering if she felt the same relief and smile he expected on her face didn't appear but he had gotten a node that forced a smirk on his face. That was enough recognition he could get out of the robotic mute girl.
" He is going to beat all of them instead of F4 " the classmates had hypnotized the expectation Jandi was wishing to see in the coming days. His big ego she trusted she knew he wouldn't dare tell anybody what happened but he could retaliate and attack back. She had warned him. She had given him enough warning to not dare but he never listened.
The boy plotting his revenge was filled with only anger as the nurse hiding her smile behind the double mask she had on placed the cotton drenched in alcohol on the visible belt mark on his thighs. His loud screams he tried to swallow not to embarrass himself with the info of the boys still in the room, she had used her advantage as she looked him dead in the eye and pushed the cotton even further down.
The blood she had to clean from the boy yesterday, she was beyond thankful to whoever had done this to land their beat-down bodies in her office. The other nurse turning her way had given her a wink as they didn't even offer the boys painkillers as they started burning their legs with the cleaning alcohol mix.
"what happened?" she asked, silencing all the boys' chatter. The million-dollar question had everybody silent.
" I have to ask for the report," she pointed at their desk.
" You have to go to the hospital for the broken bones," she added. The three boys accepting the three beds looked at each other. The two sent their eyes down while they left it all for their Hyong.
" we fought" he spoke out the only information they shared. That was what they were going with.
" So they used the belt to hit you?" the nurse just wanting to hear it come out of him asked.
" They stripped you down and belted you," she added, biting her tongue. It was hilarious even for his boys to stay silent as all turned away to hide their smiles. That was what a parent back in the day did to a child that needed a lesson.
" Shut up and finish already" his angry eyes warned her as he made small smirks and whispered from the boys. He was going to kill her. He doesn't know how, but he was going to kill that girl. The humiliation was more than the pain his body was processing.
" Why would you hit him?" The idiot one who asked for his body was quickly silenced with a tap at his back. All knew there were now at the two minions that followed his every demand had done this to him and themselves.
" It had to be F4 right?" one asked as all the minions hypothesized it was probably done by one of the three members of the F4. The President in a student senate meeting, Yijeong off campus to get snacks, and the only one left was the silent leader. By the time the boys, now wrapped in white fabric and bandages, walked out the nurses office the rumor had landed on Junpyo being the one that had done it all. He was the only one who had the power to do it and get away with it.
" oh wow" the smirks and whispers as they walked into the hallway were too much even for the body that didn't receive any punches. All the students that feared them had smiles and were glaring at them. Just like that, their feared status was erased.
" I am going to kill her, '' he whispered, clenching his fist as he made out the giggles of the girls as they passed by.
Her class they had to pass to head to the lounge they were going to miss class and rest at, the two boys were scared to even look at the girl that had caused all types of pain they had never felt. His anger reached a new level. He was the only one that paused at the window of her class, his bloodshot red eyes aimed at the girl in the back.
" ommmo, look at these idiots," her classmates pointed at the window.
" he arranged his nose for him" when she heard that, she sent her eyes to the window they were looking at. They were right, she had rearranged his nose that will need months to fully heal.
" told you he's going to relive his anger on the beggars?" they had concluded as they made out his visibly burning eyes staring at her. His bottom lip bit down to hold in his anger neither that nor his wrapped left hand he slammed against the window got a reaction out of the unbothered girl. Her middle finger sent to her lips was used to flip him and the page of her book as she returned her unbothered eyes to the page. Her little move had erupted his emotions to a new level as he cursed at the one standing next to him and quickened his slow steps to the lounge. He is going to kill her.
The nurse who had offered to write them a sick note so they could head home was dismissed as they had only taken the painkiller she offered. The two boys who wanted to leave were silenced by his command to follow him. The hours they spent in their long, the two had wasted it resting on the sofas. The others were focused on their games as he was wasting minute after minute replying to her every move he remembers.
" Be fuckin careful" her voice that had caused him the shock was used as the excuses as to why he was thrown off at first and received the beating of his life from a girl. A scholarship kid. A nobody. It was better to let the school think it was F4. Junpyo beating him down was an acceptable result. The leader of F4 was a formidable contender to say the least. He would die before he whispered to a soul that the escort girl he slapped around had done this to him. While he wasted hours creating a fake scenario to blame on the leader of F4, the news had finally reached the F4 boys sitting in classrooms across the sixth floor.
" Who did what?" jihoo asked his assistant who had whispered to him the news that had taken over the school.
" What did you do?" His quick text to the group got a response from Yijeong.
" What did they do?" was Yijeong's question. Junpyo had sent them a photo of himself with the book he had spent the whole lunchtime, buried in his hidden corner of the library. He didn't even care to ask what they were accusing him of as he sent his attention back to his book. Forget his art history professor, his book was more interesting.
" I knew it".
" they are lying"
" They probably fought with each other" Yijeong in his French class had turned his phone down to focus his attention on the presentation his classmates were putting on. His claim was dismissed as he got a photo of the boys walking across the hallway sent to the private student blog. Look at these clowns, had been the anonymous tag to the photo of the boys covered in white bandages. The photos didn't even do it justice as Jihoo had to see it in person to believe it. As students were dismissed for the day, the three F4 standing by the driveway got their first look at the boys.
" Fuck" yijeong had reacted as he noticed the boys walking out of the building and heading to the parking lot. Jihoo standing next to Yijeong had turned to get a good view. All the students across the driveway had their eyes on the boys. Two walking with crutches.
" What on earth?" he whispered. Their arms are in casts. Their banged noses, their black-out eyes...it was beyond clear they had received a nice beating from somebody. Unlike everybody that glanced at the boy that was accused of committing all of this, Junoyo standing against his car had no clue what everybody was even talking about as he finally connected the dots about what was going on.
"That doesn't look like a fight," Yijeong questioned as he called out for the minions.
" what the fuck happened?" he asked and he started calling for Woobin. Does their leader know what happened to his goons?
" We had a fight" one whispered, getting a smile from Jihoo who they had never liked. He doesn't know much about fighting but even he knew this was not a result of fighting.
" oh wow" Yijeong tilted his head down making out the ugly broken nose of one.
" What the fuck did you do to whoever did this"
" It was a fight. '' The boys were in unison as they responded. Junpyo, hands in his pocket, didn't buy any of it as he scanned their marks. This was not a fight, this was a beatdown. The visible marks were matched across all three. This was too intentional to be a random fight. This was an orchestrated attack and he had to give it to whoever had done it to the annoying boys.
" You should go home and rest" Jihoo with a big smile giving them another reason to hate him. "What kind of karma is this?" He was only wondering about that as he remembered how yesterday they were the ones leaving bruises on the poor boy.
" It looks like you need a long rest to recover from the ass whipping you got," he said, looking at the leader who had been tempting him for a while now.
" Maybe this will teach you a lesson"
" Do not mess with whoever did this again" the words he shared were ignored as Junpyo switched his eyes to the fist the boy was forming. These guys really had guts, and he would love to see them even touch Jihoo.
" This should be a lesson to leave people alone," he added as the boys gave a small bow and started heading to the parking lot.
" I need pictures of this. '' Jihoo, pulling his phone, had started going to the student blog and chat page to find if anybody had any pictures of the beat down. Busy reading the memes and hilarious comments he had ignored his friend's attention that switched from the cigar the light up and placed between his lips to the girl who walked out the building.
Her untied hair started moving in the direction of the wind that attacked her the moment she left the building. His eyes were quick to notice the new leggings she had added to her uniform today. The black new shoes she had one earlier were now switched to her old nikes. Her steps were getting faster and heading down the stairs and forced his eyes to make out her well toned calves perfectly highlighted by the black leggings she had on. The white smoke he blew out cleared out of his eyes at the right time as her eyes aimed for him.
She had to wait until they were done with this school before she could even dare imagine touching him and even then she would have to be ready to die, but she couldn't help but imagine . She couldn't help but imagine the day she would scratch the smug look from his face. She can't help but imagine when she would be able to gauge out the eyes that have started bothering her every time she was in their presence. How much it would take to have him crying for mercy. She could only imagine what it would take to have him on his knees begging. That one got a smirk out of her. Imagining the untouchable prince of the school , the beloved son of the biggest corporation in the country, down on his knees begging was a sight she would do anything to see. With the mountain tall ego he walked around with, she couldn't even imagine he would ever beg for anything. His pretty face was covered in blood, her imagination was leading the way as she stayed on him. What type of face would he make when he finally realized she would be the one to take him to hell?
Would he be horrified when he eyes his security guards and finds nobody there to protect him? The guts he had to walk around with no armed security, she knew this boy was easy to get a hold of when he was on this campus. His face she couldn't punch, she could only imagine what pure fear he would display when he realizes she could kill him if she wants to. His tall and well-built figure she never paid attention to was scanned as she imagined striiping away all the luxurious cloth he covers himself with to make him special from everybody else who wore a uniform. His tattoos she had heard about, her thoughts had slipped away from their original intent but it took his small smirk to bring her back to reality. All her imagination was shut down as she sent her eyes to the pathway to the gate far away. For now she has to settle with his friend. The one that has dragged the bloody body across the floor. He needed to pay for what he did yesterday, and she can't wait to see his return back to school tomorrow. She had, between now and then, come up with ideas. He was part of F4, she can't just beat him up and not expect to be burned alive. She had to play games with that one.
